While visiting family in Houston we took my husband and father in law to eat at Babin's. My father in law was not lying about the food everything we had was good! When I walked up to the restaurant I felt like I was somewhere in New Orleans the French design of the building, the cute courtyard that is indoors as a waiting area was extremely cute and there was a fountain there. Prior to being seated there was a mix up with my reservation but with it being Sunday and Father's Day I can understand. For my entree I had the Bourbon Street Pasta without the andouille sausage and it was so good and creamy. The flavor was there the next day too as my left overs. And prior to my entree I had a Greek salad that was sooooo good. Now I did have dessert but I wasn't finishing the cake it was huge it gave me vibes of the cake from the movie Matilda. I was mad that the cake didn't have ice cream because they were out. Other than that it was a good day to eat and I will definitely go back when I'm visiting.

We decided to come here for Houston restraint week lunch menu. Service was great food was so so. The seafood gumbo tastes good but it was literally brother crawfish and shrimp with side of rice. The mixed fried platter was okay nothing amazing. Drinks were delicious and not bad priced at all. I'll probably come back and try normal menus one day.

The staff were really nice and the servings of food were big! I got the Chicken zydeco pasta and it was good. Great spot for seafood!

I ordered the French Quarter Pasta with no added cheese on top. Babins is pretty consistent with this pasta, I've had it a few times at different locations. Great taste and they give you a good portion with bread. I ordered this pasta to go and picked it up at the bar, staff was very friendly and service was fairly quick. My personal opinion, I wish they put some kind of green veggies, like spinach in the pasta. I didn't get a chance to dine in but it was pretty slow during lunch time. I def recommend for a good lunch spot!

If you have a group of people joining you or even if you don't, I always recommends please make reservations. It helps make your experience and gives the staff preparation for your visit. Ambiance:4/5 Parking is convenient and plentiful. Dress code is casual unless you're celebrating or just like dressing up. It is a little loud likely because it was a Saturday evening. Service:5/5 Service was quick and efficient. Our waitress, Helen, was friendly & attentive. Food:4/5 The food was good and came out fairly quickly. Enjoyed our time and experience.

A fabulous evening of celebration for my parents 61st wedding anniversary on a Tuesday. Leo provided excellent service despite juggling bar service, multiple tables and patrons. Food is always fresh, flavorful and the bar bites and happy hour makes for an enjoyable way to get to taste multiple items. Those Oyster Bienville are lusciously delicious. I wish there were more Babin locations but well worth the drive

We found ourselves out on a quiet Monday evening looking for a bite to eat and decided to give Babin's a try for the first time. With an almost empty parking lot and minimal crowd, we weren't sure what to expect. Our friendly waitress let us know about their Monday fish special and pointed out the large selection on the board, some varieties we had never even heard of, which was a nice surprise. We started with the fried green tomatoes and were also served a small piece of French bread for the table. The appetizer came out beautifully presented, tomato slices arranged around a marinara dip. While the dip wasn't quite my thing (I would've preferred Ranch), the tomatoes themselves were crisp and flavorful. For the main course, we ordered the seafood platter and the crab cakes. The platter was generously portioned and packed with variety. The crab cakes were a standout, moist, tender, and topped with a delicious sauce that pulled everything together. Overall, it was a satisfying and hearty meal, so much so, we needed a to-go box. Definitely a pleasant first visit!

They have a great lunch menu for seasoned citizens. I ordered the blackened catfish with broccoli. Was very tasty. Other party members had the fried seafood plate which is very plentiful with a nice variety. The seafood gumbo was good. Warm bread is always a nice touch since a lot of restaurants have cut back on bread. Service was excellent. Arrived at 1:30 so the restaurant was not crowded but even later the table spacing was excellent for conversation. Adequate parking which is important.

Had to come back while I was in town. Skip the main stream joints and check this gem out. Great service and great food.

I took my mother here for her birthday, It was our first time. The ambiance is giving a New Orleans French Quarter with its vibrant color and old downtown feel. The service was excellent. Our waitress had a great personality and was very friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and there was so knowledgeable ch to choose from. It had that down home family feel, comfortable and cozy. The food was delicious. They give large portion so they can easily be stared. The desert was also really good. We will be back to try diverging else on the menu.

I had never been to the previous address, but the interior design was so lovely we chose to sit at the new bar. Kady, the bartender (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was such a doll the whole time waiting us. She kept the chips (touch of louisiana we enjoyed) next to her for refills and made the most twisted hurricane I've had. Definitely walked out clinging to my man lol. We tried the crawfish dip which came with two types of bread, though both went amazing with it. I ordered the lobster ravioli with a side of hush puppies and my old guy ordered the lamb chops, well done, with gumbo (we don't eat pork) and stuffed shrimp. Everything was so damn great tasting. I mean, damned good tasting. My only flaw was the roux could've been a little thinner, but that is absolutely it. Fabulous timeeee and I'm so recommending.

A Fantastic Birthday Celebration at Landry's Seafood in The Woodlands!…read more We recently celebrated my birthday at Landry's Seafood Restaurant in The Woodlands, Texas, and it was the perfect choice for a memorable afternoon. The restaurant has that classic warm, welcoming coastal vibe with beautiful wood accents and views that make you feel like you've stepped away from the hustle without leaving The Woodlands. The energy was lively but comfortable, ideal for a family birthday dinner. Our server, James, was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our celebration feel special. He knew the menu inside and out, offered great recommendations, and kept everything running smoothly with a smile. James really elevated the experience, top-notch service all the way! For food, I went with the Stuffed Shrimp Pontchartrain, and it did not disappoint. The shrimp were generously stuffed with delicious seafood, then smothered in a rich white cream sauce with mushrooms that brought everything together beautifully. Paired with the savory dirty rice and fresh seasonal vegetables, it was a hearty, flavorful plate that felt indulgent yet perfectly balanced. I also started with a cup of Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, and it was excellent--packed with flavor, the perfect spicy kick, and loaded with sausage and tender chicken. It warmed me up and set the tone for a great meal. Everything came out hot and fresh, portions were generous, and the flavors were spot-on. Landry's delivered that quality Gulf Coast seafood experience we were hoping for right here in The Woodlands. If you're looking for a reliable, delicious spot for a birthday, date night, or just a great seafood dinner in the area, I highly recommend Landry's. We'll definitely be back--thanks again to James for making our night extra special! Highly recommended!

We started with the ceviche, which was solid--fresh and flavorful, easily the best part of the meal. The tacos, though, were just okay. Tortillas were fine, but the seasoning on the fillings felt off. All the salsas were pretty subpar and didn't add much. We ordered the al pastor fish taco, which was probably the best of the bunch (still nothing special). The regular pork al pastor tacos were cut into cubes instead of the traditional shaved style, and that made the meat overcooked and tough to chew. Overall it was an average experience.
