I am only giving this restaurant a five-star review solely because of the outstanding customer service provided by Manager Dorsey. During my visit on Juneteenth, I initially went through the drive-thru and experienced what I felt was rude and unprofessional behavior from one of the black male employees. Concerned by the interaction, I left the drive-thru line and went inside to speak with management. Dorsey immediately addressed my concerns with professionalism, patience, and courtesy. She took the time to listen, quickly de-escalated the situation, personally assisted with my order, and assured me that the matter would be addressed. Her prompt response and commitment to customer service completely changed my experience. While my initial interaction was disappointing, Dorsey's leadership, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction are the reasons for this five-star review. She is a tremendous asset to the restaurant and should be recognized for her excellent customer service. read more

Well I got suckered back in and it definitely won't happen again. I asked for beef ribs nope, baby back ribs nope, so I ended up with catfish from a suggestion from a staff member who says theirs is better than papadeauxs. I should've known better since my last experience was terrible. My boyfriend got the roasted chicken and brisket. It was dry. I'm currently waiting on my catfish at a bbq place wondering what kind of moron I am for coming back. My boyfriend is eating his food and will be done before I even see mine. Last time we went the serving bar and general cleanliness was not good and food was so so ... that was probably 6 months ago. Too many other good bbq places with better prices around this area so we probably won't go back unless they have some kind of special that would make it worth it. read more

Great staff, great Food, atmosphere was just soo good. As a first time visitor, I was greeted and treated well, told Maria it was my first time and she recommended some great choices, I went with the Baby Back Ribs and Sliced Brisket of course had to try the Brisket Sandwich and Mac and cheese with some pork Beans. Everything was so good I left pretty full and satisfied. I'll definitely come to visit again. Also Sienna was such a good employee as well, it seems like everyone in the restaurant was such good and positive mood and made me enjoy my meal. I'm back 6 months later! Establishment is still clean however I ordered the same baked potato again and the meat ratio is completely different! Only half the meat but the meat cut is chunkier which has a nice bite. Just wish it would be more consistent with the amount to match the baked potato ratio. I also asked for my bbq sauce on side but they added it on. The manager at the time did ask if they could re make it for me but I didn't want tk wait any longer for the food. Service was terrible. I ordered my food through DoorDash and went to pick it up. Waited a long time for the order, then I was told they're not working on DoorDash order right now only walk-in. I told them that I ordered through DoorDash, but that was my personal food I was picking up. The cashier said they're only doing walk-ins and there's nothing she could do about it so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came and I explained to him what she said and he was like OK I'm gonna work on it right now, he then came back and told me they don't have any beef ribs if I want to substitute something else. I asked him to substitute brisket for the beef ribs, which he did for that plate but for the family board they did not give me any brisket or sausage only all rib ribs. This whole day took me an hour and my food was wrong. They didn't made my food and then put it back on the shelf back there and I had to ask again the manager, then walked over to the shop and picked up the food and handed it to me. The food has to be smoked in a oven and not a smoker because it taste baked. The service is ghetto! The price for something that's not good at all is ridiculous. If we could give ZERO STARS FOR SERVICE I WOULD!!! This is the third time we tried ordering here with a giftcard we received. Every time we have come the restaurant never has the half chicken we order. Today we can just as "lunch time" began and preserved and were told to pull around to pay. When we go tot the window instead we were met with a server who said "oh actually we don't have half chicken." So we asked what else they had and she closed the window in our face. Then we asked for a menu to make an alternate choice. When we ordered something different, we were told to pull forward and wait until after other cars behind us received their food because our order was now after their order. We refused to be served after people who ordered after us. The lack of food at the restaurant and ineffective communication to us, the consumer, is not our problem. So we waited for the order at the window and the server had an attitude when she finally returned to the window with our food. Whenever I want some absolutely delicious BBQ close to home, Pappas is theeeee place!!! I absolutely love their pork ribs, beef sausage AND pulled pork! That's amazing smoked flavor goes all through their ribs...so much that I don't even have to use their BBQ sauce (which btw is BOMB !). My hubby & I typically do their drive through & for the amount of food we end up buying, they are pretty reasonable. I've done carry out as well & they is super quick because you pick out the meats & they cut it to your specifications. Sorry, no pics because I drove right in & forgot to take them...lol! I ordered for pick up Sunday, March 2, 2025. Where do I start? 2 plate meat with two sides; the sides were 1/4 fill in each container; chicken was stringy (disgusting)! The chopped beef was good. The fish sandwich was horrible, saturated with tartar sauce and the fish was gray on the inside, I'm not sure what it was, but it was not catfish! My wife and I went on July 4th instead of cooking. She had smoked turkey, I had beef sausage and baby back ribs, coleslaw, potato salad. The order process was a fiasco, way to many to go orders and drive through ordering. That process should probably be be separated from the dine in. Fried catfish does not taste great without tartar sauce! This is a common occurence in this place, just a lack of committment to good service. Check your bags before you leave the place. In the past, they have messed up completing the side orders, and forgotten their barbecue sauce and ranch dip for $100+ order of ribs and wings. No apologies. Wants us to come back for what is missing after i brought my order to family an hour away. They did send me a $5 for replacement for the missing sauce (whatever the value of what was missing, the manager said). No improvement over the last year. The cucumber salad and the baby back ribs are good. But for now, I am tired of Pappas and will support Spring Creek BBQ. I am a huge fan of the Pappas franchise, but had never been to a Pappas B-B-Q before yesterday. Seems I was right to avoid it all along. This was, quite frankly, the worst BBQ I have had in my life. I am so disappointed I wasted a $50 Pappas gift card on fatty brisket and burned ribs, when I could have used it for fresh fish and gumbo at Pappadeaux or fish tacos at Pappasitos. I ordered 2 different rib plates, one with sliced brisket, one with sausage. In both plates they gave me the end of the ribs and the meat was so overcooked it was way past jerky and as dry and hard as wood. It was so overcooked not only could I not take a bite off with my teeth, I couldn't even saw through it with my brand new Henkels steak knife. Do NOT be confused, I was not trying to break it down for me. I was trying to give my dog a little taste. To make matters worse, they gave me the wrong order. I didn't get sausage in my rib and sausage plate. And service was slow, even though there were only 3 other customers in the place and two of them already had their food. Although I was excited there was sausage in the ranch beans, they were tasteless...no seasoning or onions and jalapeño. The creamed corn was out of a can, which were used as part of the decor at the condiment bar. Suggestion for the owner/franchise...find a different method for customers to pour bbq sauce.
