Pappas is located in the MGM resort Hotel Food Court. There were no signs inside the casino from what I could see, so I had to ask for directions. I found the restaurant located outside of the casino in the food court next to a pizza spot. The restaurant has a walk-up counter to order food. Seating is open for all the restaurants. The menu is limited to a few items. Pappas Crab cakes offers crab balls, shrimp platters, fish and chips, Jumbo crab cake platters, and a few sides like old bay fries and coleslaw. It is odd to have a bunch of expensive restaurants in a food court, but some folks don't need to have an entire dining experience to eat good food. We just wanted a good crab cake in between losing money at the casino. My husband and I both ordered their Jumbo crab cake platter, which came with old bay fries and coleslaw. The 8 oz crab cakes were delicious, full of crabmeat, and very little filler. The fries were nice and crispy. Old bay makes everything taste better. Crabmeat is not cheap, so expect to pay for what you are getting. As a Baltimore native I give this spot 2 thumbs up. read more

The only reason why we opted to come here was because the surrounding sit down restaurants were packed before a concert on a Thursday night. The fries could easily be upgraded with a better quality of fries. The crab on top was okay but could have been better and the cheese whiz cheese shouldn't be happening. I would voluntarily pay an up charge of more for these to be a Parmesan crab truffle fry. Inside MGM's food court, I've been eyeing this place for a while. Their food was absolutely DELISH! Perfectly fried soul food fritters. If you want some French fries, cole slaw and tomato slices, you can get the platter for $24.49. Crab cakes were good with big pieces of crab. The shop was only run by two people in the front..one lady taking the order and the other preparing the food. We ate here after coming for a surprise Marriage Proposal at the MGM Grand. I was excited at first because I love Pappas 's Crab Cakes. I got the Crab Cake Platter, with French Fries and Cole Slaw. I was highly disappointed, this Pappas's cannot be affiliated with the Pappas in Glen Bernie or Cockeysville.
