Wow. This place is spectacular in every way. The selection is broad and meets every dietary restriction. The gluten free bagel was out of this world - unlike any I've ever tried. It genuinely tasted like the full gluten version. The prices are totally reasonable too. If I lived nearby, I'd be here every week. They are very liberally minded and not afraid to show it, which I personally love, but may not be for everyone. The staff is kind and accepting of all walks of life. I drove up to the Sheboygan area to pick up something off of FB marketplace and decided to make a cute morning out of it. Located at what looked like the end of downtown Sheboygan, was this corner coffee shop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was not expecting how much space there would be here, but this place makes for a great catch-up spot with friends, doing work, etc[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We've stopped by Paradigm a few times now on different trips up north. What a gem of a spot they have here in Sheboygan. The coffee is delicious as are their breakfast bites. The service has always lovely and the atmosphere is eclectic, cool, and comfy. They are situated on a street that has been closed to everything but foot traffic on their block and they have patio seating on the street. We had our dog with us on our most recent trip and enjoyed the outdoor seating while sipping our coffee. And, you can even take their dishes out to the street patio (if you get your food/drink to stay), so no worries there. Always a wonderful experience here. Get to it! read more

A REAL bagel - you know them when you taste them! I also had a very good iced coffee. Relaxing environment with lots of art and interesting architectural elements like bikes decorating pillars and lots of other vintage elements. Award for best use of vintage doors and windows - used in the counter, stage and as an upstairs partition. On a nice day, sit outside at a table with an umbrella and enjoy the sun and main street. Don't forget to buy some whole bean coffee, sticker, T-shirt, etc on your way out! Cash is preferred here, but plastic is also accepted. Staff were very friendly in this inclusive venue. This place is so awesome! It's in a bit of a inconspicuous location, didn't realize we were in front of Paradigm until we got closer because we see any storefront signs. But once you're inside, it's very clear you're in the coolest cafe and venue in Sheboygan! The cafe is decked out in awesome decor, from cool bikes hung on the walls, to old doors used as partitions in the space. The staff were awesome, and the service was super quick. We only ordered drinks, although the baked goods in the counter display looked incredible. Both drinks were awesome, and lasted us on our walk around the Saturday farmers market. Paradigm serves Collectivo coffee, which is great for fans of the MKE-based coffee roasters. We can't wait to go back! read more

Paradigm is one of my all-time favorite breakfast/coffee spots. My husband and I make the short trip from Milwaukee fairly frequently just to eat here and then go for a hike in the area. The bakery is amazing (I'm now craving a cinnamon roll in a serious way) and the breakfast options such as the bagel sandwich always hit the spot. What a great place! I was in Sheboygan for work and stopped in to Paradigm for lunch and to answer some email. I love the atmosphere-decorations are fun and hip. It has a bit of an industrial feel, but with a 1970s flare. Even the ladies' room has 1970s-style hardware and accessories (soap dispensers, garbage cans, etc.). There are lots of places to sit and good light. (It could use more electrical outlets though.) There's a stage for music acts. I had a vegan "egg" salad sandwich. It was decent - could have used more spice. I was impressed with all the vegan food options and I actually had a hard time deciding which one to choose. Staff was friendly and there is table service, which is nice. A sandwich and coffee was around $15, so pretty decently priced. I stayed for about an hour eating and working. I definitely will be back on my next trip! **Word to those who don't usually carry cash (aka: me), there is mostly metered parking in the downtown area. There is no app and the meters only take change. I was lucky to find an unmetered spot or I would have had to risk a ticket.** read more

Loved the vibe of this place, however my order was incorrect and I was charged twice because the girl who took my order misunderstood that I wanted my latte made breve with extra shots and flavoring, and she put it in as a separate breve drink with all the add ins. When my name was called, I had 2 drinks there when I ordered one, neither being correct so I corrected it with her and she apologized and said she would remake it and take the double charge off my card. Not only was my drink not correct the 2nd time (so frustrating, decided not to deal with it AGAIN on a busy morning) and the charge never came off my card. It's been over a week later. I essentially paid $15 for an incorrect drink. Making things right is a big part of customer service. This wasn't done with the coffee drink and it was also not done with the refund for a coffee I didn't order. It's clear to me that my business doesn't matter. tl;dr very hip location for an out-of-towner to visit in Sheboygan. Being a histpery Bay View (ian?) I always try to make sure to search out a local cafe instead of going to one of the million Starbucks around when I'm working remote. I have a few clients up in Sheboygan and immediately zoned in on Paradigm after being recommended to it by a friend in the area. It gets me a cool vibe, the wifi I need, all the Colectivo coffee I can drink and delicious vegetarian food options I didn't know I needed (I'm not vegetarian, but the food is still amazing!) Make sure to try the made-in-house soups, Zeus sandwich or the BBQ Jack (it has Jackfruit which I had never tried before and was pleasantly surprised!) Live music is hosted there often (usually at nighttime) and it's nice to see a venue like this supporting local artists. It also runs a nonprofit bike recycling organization out of the space as well. read more

Confirmed...very good Mocha was excellent, down to the artfully created topping. Right blend of chocolate and coffee without either overpowering the other. Well balanced. Simple Asiago bagel, egg, cheese, and avocado were delightful. Modest portion that is just enough, using a flavorful hint of garlic that adds a nice touch. Ambience in the morning was casual. Come here for the coffee, the sandwiches, the gluten free treats, and the vibe. I had the TLT - tofu, lettuce, and tomato, on the most delightful, crispy yet chewy, ciabatta bread. The tofu was so nice, it was thin and nicely cooked to mirror the texture of bacon without having any kind of meaty taste (which I actually prefer!). Served with a pickle on the side, and I got a side salad with the mustard dill dressing, my new favorite in the ways of salad sauce. I usually don't like dressing but this was amazing. My partner got a bowl of chili that we had to send back because it was too salty, but they took care of us in the nicest of ways. At the end of the meal, I got a soy-milk latte and one of the GF sugar cookies. It almost tasted like a rice crispie treat or something. Yum! This is an awesome place, whimsical almost! I'm a barista so I like to try new coffee places when I travel and I was excited about this one. First of all I got their special with cardamom, maple, chocolate, and oat milk quad iced in a 20oz. The coffee was strong but not bitter and the flavors were prominent but not overwhelming. I love cardmom and always like to try house specials! It was fantastic. My brother got the iced maple latte 16oz with two shots and it was very tasty. A light maple taste but not too little, just perfect! We also got breakfast sandwiches that were cheap and delicious. The eggs were cooked fresh, with plenty of butter and oozy cheese on a toasted but soft bagel. So yummy! They also have cool merch, shirts and pins and stickers and more. The staff were super nice and patient, and the environment of the shop is aggressively welcoming- just wonderful! This was a cute place in historic downtown. The space is very large with lots of tables and seats both indoor and outdoor. I ordered the Busy Beaver, a speciality drink (chocolate, cardamom, espresso, maple syrup, steamed oat milk) - $3.75. I asked for less sweet and they delivered!!! Sometimes coffee shops have told me it's pre-made so I can't cut down on the sweetness, but Paradigm was able to give me just the right hint of cardamom and sweetness without overpowering the espresso. In California, I'd have to $5.50 for something similar. I also ordered the bagel sandwich and the garlic was soooooo good. If I'm ever visiting again, I'd definitely stop by again to try other speciality drinks. read more

It is really hard to give this place anything but a 5 star review.....I'll start by saying that everything is vegetarian but they do have egg and can do wonders with tofu. We tried almost everything on the menu....and it was all good. Don't take the simple bagel, egg, and cheese for-granted. It was amazing. The bagel tasted like it was made in NYC, the egg perfectly prepared, and I liked it soooooo much, I didn't even add salt/pepper/hot sauce.....I couldn't do it. The sandwich was so amazing on its own, I felt guilty altering it. My wife had the "Good Egg." Also grossly understated, the sandwich was HUGE with fresh bread and other ingredients. It is actually like an egg salad sandwich but tastes nothing like egg salad. I also had a cafe mocha....which was also perfectly prepared I didn't have to add sugar or anything....I just had to calm myself to prevent burning my tongue from drinking it too fast.. This is a pretty cool place. I really dig the communal, casual atmosphere of the place. It's very inviting, and a nice space to meet with friends or get some work done. The drinks are always good, and I've never had a problem when it comes to service. There's a lot of vegan options, which I think is great. The food leaves a bit to be desired, but that's coming from a meat-eater, so I can't entirely be trusted in that regard. I absolutely loved this place! Though I do like hummus, I am so sick of it being the only vegan option on most menus so I was thrilled to try the BBQ jackfruit sandwich. It was superb. My carnivore sister even loved it. It came on perfectly grilled and slightly oily bread and a tasty pickle. The boyf and I were cycling through Sheboygan on the week-long 2011 SAGBRAW and we were both delighted to find this truly five-star worthy coffee shop. Walking north on 8th St from the campus of UW-Sheboygan, we were almost sure that we had seen all the cool things there were to see on that road. Then we saw a chessboard on a large wooden table near the window and a welcoming sign on the sidewalk and we knew we hadn't walked as far as we did in vain. Paradigm Coffee is the kind of coffee shop I wish existed in Decatur, GA, where I currently live--and don't get me wrong, intown Atlanta has many a great coffee shop. But none as fabulous as this. First, the space is huge. HUGE. There is bar seating, couch seating, window seating, table seating, comfy chair seating: all generously spaced from each other. Second, this coffee shop is quiet. The music (well-selected indie favorites like Andrew Bird and Death Cab with some ragtime jazz alternating in--a fun mix) is soft and we could not overhear the voices of other folk. This is a place that is equally suitable for getting serious work done and for catching up with a friend. Third, the folks that work here seem to be great folk: good at their job, friendly in recommending items and explaining decor questions to newbies (we asked about all the bikes decorating the shop and the Wisconsin 14 poster [the boyf had thought the number of senators in question was 12]), and committed to the laudable goal of sustainable living. Fourth, they have yummy, affordable snacks. We shared a scrumptious double chocolate chip mint cookie. If Paradigm were located in my town, I'd most likely visit it every other day.
