First of all, I gotta say the food was good. My problem was I got seated at a table. I am only one person five minutes after the waitress came over to ask me if I wanted something to drink. Took five minutes to get the drink then I ordered my dinner. I ordered an appetizer and a dinner 35 minutes later the appetizer came out two minutes after that, my dinner came out the waitress never came back to the table and asked me how everything was. Interesting little bar and grill in Nokomis. I'm in town for work, and we stopped in for lunch. The sandwiches were great. While we were there, we noticed the signage that there was live music at night, so we decided to stop in for dinner as well. We had a variety of dinner options. One had NY strip, one had fish and chips, and another had salmon (I think). Dinner was okay - it wasn't the best food I've ever had, but it wasn't terrible either. The drink specials and the live music made it the evening. The night we were there, the live music is a singer and a drummer with a computer that I believe is playing karaoke tunes for them to sing and drum along to. But they do a great job of engaging the crowd (and there was definitely a crowd). Overall it was a good time. read more

I was excited to finally try Paradise Grill, after so many times driving past this place and seeing the cool outdoor Tiki Hut! My husband and I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon. We asked our server about the Poke Tuna Nacho appetizer; she went on and on about how good they were. So, of course we ordered them. What a mess they were! It had this slimy coleslaw all over them which made them just awful. We didn't complain because she served them so she must know they look like this. The seared tuna itself tasted old. Truly, the worst tuna nachos I've ever had. Okay, let's order something else. We did. We shared a cheeseburger just to give something else a try. The burger was pretty good, the fries were crisp and nice and hot. At least the burger saved this place in my mind to maybe want to go back there. The hostess was taking our plates away while we were observing kids getting dropped off from the school bus, right in front of the bar we were sitting at. We said to the hostess, this seemed strange. The hostess informed us that this bar gets so crazy with drunks at night, that an ambulance is sitting outside in the parking lot, just in case... What???? I took my daughter and her friend who were visiting from Pittsburgh this past Tuesday evening. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. I ordered the baby back ribs. They really were baby back ribs nicely done with a lot of bbq sauce on them. They have a huge menu that is diverse in it's selection. had lunch here on Saturday. We sat outside, out waitress was very nice and attentive. she even brought us replacement soda's based on the amount of time we were there, very nice. We started with the calamari which was fried to a golden brown, good taste and a very good dipping sauce. my wife went with the beef tacos for lunch and I had the prime rib sandwich with house made chips. my wife was very happy with her tacos and I was with my sandwich. the sandwich had plenty of meat, cheese and onions and was served with a hot and tasty au jus that added to pleasure of eating it. my wife's tacos were also stuffed very nice and served with rice and beans...a good meal for both of us. read more

I'd give place this a 3.5 stars if I could - because the waitstaff we've had here is always really friendly and attentive. I've only ever dined indoors, but they do have outdoor seating, I believe also an outdoor bar. Food is decent enough - plenty of vegetarian options. Nothing out of this world, but good! If you are going for drinks and appetizers fine. They are typical. I ordered a SPECIAL for the night. Grouper in a piccata sauce. The dinner was served with deep fried fish in a canned premade sauce. I refused the dish as a cook myself I have NEVER seen any piccata dish with deep fried food. I was then served an over cooked very thin piece of fish with the awful piccata lemon sauce. A friendly spot up the road. It's very easy to find something good on the menu. The atmosphere is comfortably vibrant as well as the staff. Seating and drink orders come quickly, followed by attendance to food orders. Kara was our server for my first time in ( I've been missing out for years ) and refills or extras weren't a thing to wait on. All was like 'party on!' I left with good vibes and delighted guests. It's also a good reflection when a friendly manager stops by so pleasantly to ask how it has been. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. I wanted to destroy it but I also wanted to savor every second. Ordered buff wings and got bbq wings. I politely asked for what I ordered and was told to leave. I have never been disrespected at a place of business like this. Since I was humiliated, I left. Consequently I forgot my glasses. I went it today to see if they had them and the ridecule continued. As I looked through the forgotten glasses, the manager said you obviously don't know what your glasses look like and she rushed me out the door, even muttering that I'm a stupid white boy. I'm a disabled veteran and don't deserve to ever be treated this way. Do not visit this poorly managed shit hole. I know I left my seeing glasses, and I'm positive they threw them away. Pissed off! This place is uber-beachy with a great Margaritaville atmosphere. We were seated right away outside (it's dog friendly!) and the service was wonderful. Don't be afraid of the location on the end of a shopping center- it's airy and lively. Mac & cheese was amazing and unique. The other entree ordered, mahi-mahi tacos, was equally good.
