Big place! Many rooms, fully decorated with sea and ocean decor. Our waitreess named Maya, very pleasant with a big smile to gives us a warm welcome. We sat near the water and caught a view of the local turtle and fish. The menu had alot to offer, also we had a buy 1 get 1 drinks all day. Or you can go to the happy hour, if you'd like. We called ahead to join the waitlist as we came from the airport. We had a short wait when we got there. Our waitress did a good job and was very attentive. We sat outside with heaters and there was live music that was just finishing up. It made for a fun evening. We started with a hot crab and cheese dip with chips. It's very tasty and very cheesy! We had the two for one special margaritas, and they were good. And then we went with the same meals we had a year ago when we were here! Hubby had his shrimp scampi with garlic toast and loved it again. I had black and mahi-mahi with delicious green beans and hot hand cut fries. It's a lot of food and I couldn't finish the fries. We love eating at Pinchers! The blackened Mahi Mahi is our favorite. I would also recommend the Crab Rangoon appetizer and the (2 for 1 all day) red sangria. When I'm up for some shrimp pinchers is one place that becomes my short list. Even though they have a crab on their marketing i love their shrimp variety. They also have the 'little less' option on most of their meals so you can get what you love and not bust the belt. The Venice location bar tenders are some of the best. I love their personalities and their sprit it keeps me coming back. 2 for 1 drinks aren't a bad deal either ;-). Some people discount it as a chain. We stopped in pinchers tonight and to our delight thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The. Large Cesar's salad was easily enough to split between us. The salad was 100% crispy lettuce no core or outer leaves. Seasoned lightly with Cesar's dressing and topped off with plenty of shaved Parmesan and two slices of buttered garlic bread. When the crab dip came out, it wasn't hot. My husband had fried scallops and the batter would not stick to them. I asked for sweet tea twice and both times I got unsweet tea. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. My tea glass got empty and when the manager asked if everything was okay, I pointed to the empty tea glass. Last evening my two sons and their families visited Pinchers. My husband doesn't eat much and we try very hard to make sure his meal will be something he enjoys. We ordered for hom the shrimp scampi with green beans and coleslaw. Not the dinner with spaghetti. I ordered 2 sides as I knew he wouldn't finish. service was quite slow and 4 dinners came out and we had to ask for the grouper bites and shrimp. We advised the waitress that both meals were wrong. She replaced the grouper but not the shrimp with sides. He didn't eat the shrimp and had no sides. No adjustments were made. Paid for the dinner and two extra sides. Extremely disappointed.
