Since covit,the restaurant really picked up quality quite a few notches. Went here on a Friday night, the big draw is their fish fry. Waiter assumed we were there for that and did not bring us a menu. when I ordered a bud light, he response was fried on blackened. I responded with a confusion asking how does a bud flight come fried or blackened. He responded that most people come here for the haddock fish fry. ok, we will try it. our first piece of fish was worth 4 to 5 stars, served hot, nice coating on it and the fish was fresh and tasty. we then were served the second piece of fish and the world changed, it was so tuff you could not cut it with a fork you needed a knife. the fish was dry, overcooked and terrible. second serving was 1-2 stars. we did not try a 3rd serving. In town for a family event for a few day. Spent time at both the inside bar and outside bar ( which are connected). The bartender, name tag Jennie Craig (better known as Luke) was great. When the weather was warm we sat outside and enjoyed the football playoff games. tasty bar food was available. I recommend the buffalo shrimp and baked pretzels. We (2 couples) went for happy hour tonight at 5:30pm. We ordered drinks and food. 1 couple each ordered a gin/tonic, while the 2nd couple each ordered a screw driver. When the bill came, the gin/tonic drinks were at happy hour prices, while the screw drivers were not. Same size glasses for both drinks. When the bill was questioned the waitress explained that the screwdrivers were "named" drinks and thus not applicable to happy hour prices. We weren't told this when we ordered originally or when we all ordered a 2nd round. The screwdrivers were $7 each ($28 total) , the Gin/Tonics were $3.50 each ($14 total). Waitress very rude. Completely disrespectful and disregarded the other people in my party because they arrived to the table after I was already seated. It almost felt like it was because of race. I (Caucasian male) was treated with respect and class but my two companions (African American males) couldn't get questions about the menu answered and when they did get a reply they were met with attitude and snobby remarks. Even hearing how she talked to other guests completely turned me off about ever visiting the restaurant portion of this Hotel again. A guest asked if it was self seating or assigned. The waitress replied to an older couple with "whatever sit wherever you want I don't care" and threw up her hands and stormed off to tend to another guest. I'm not usually one to complain and leave reviews. But this is absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful. It's obvious that said waitress was overwhelmed with the amount of people she had to tend to in the dining room, but something needs to be done about her attitude. It's completely unacceptable to treat guests in this manner because it's a busy night. Wait time to get my food was excruciating, refills on drinks were non-existent. Staying at this motel and was amazed at the delicious food coming from the kitchen. Kudos to Chef Frazier. They have delicious breakfast buffet as well as Ala Carte, lunch, and dinner. His food is fresh. Not prepackaged, processed junk. He's a real asset to the restaurant. They have an all you can eat fish, chips, slaw on Friday for $10.99 and they were packed!!! Sat nite is all you can eat London Broil, veg, potatoes, salad for $14.99. Wed nite was Prime Rib. All delicious. A little gem to know about. Staff so friendly, too. A real pleasure. so today was my first time coming. I came with family without expecting how good the food was! It was so delicious and we were so hungry. The pizza was amazing and the burgers too. This restaurant was close to the beach so it was cool and it wasn't that hot. Thank you to our waiter and the beautiful lady we found! She was amazing and complimented us. I was excited to try this restaurant at the hotel. Much to my dismay, the food was cold and there appeared to be a bug fragment in my fruit! The buffet has a nice variety: oatmeal, yogurt, chopped fruit, biscuits n' gravy, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, muffins, donuts, bacon, mini Belgian waffles and French toast. First, let me just say i really wish i could give negative stars. I came here with my family today (Easter). It was not busy at all, only us and 2 other tables. We had called two days before asking about the menu and specials. They told us there was an Easter special menu and we can order from the regular menu. When we get there we were not handed anything but the special menu. We asked our horrible waitress and she said they are only serving food from the special menu. So we couldn't get what we had wanted to get because it was on the regular menu. We waited close to 20 minutes before she came back to get our order. As we are waiting for our food to cook another table came in and we noticed they got handed a drink menu and the regular menu, so we asked that waitress if we were allowed to order from the regular menu and she said of course. So now we are pissed because our waitress told us no. Also while waiting we saw another table get bread and butter, so we asked for some and the waitress said 'it's $2 extra'. That's so embarrassing that she has to charge us $2 for 4 little rolls when we just ordered a $35 entree of which we didn't actually want but were forced to get since we were told only the special menu. We get our food and it's just not good at all. Tastes bland and it's under cooked. We debated for a good 5-10 minutes if we should even say anything because no matter what we would just be disappointed. This one server an older lady was really nice helping us and got us a greek salad instead of the lamb that wasn't cooked right. We get our bill and they still charged us for the lamb. So we asked the server to take it off and split the bill. She split it wrong of course. We finally get the bills correct and let me tell you we gave this server nothing. She didn't deserve a single penny. To be honest she should have paid us for the sh*t service we received. All of this happening and no one thought to get a manager for us. Very very poorly trained server. She should not serve another table until she can learn how to actually serve. Workers like her and managers who don't care to visit a table that got messed up so badly will surely allow this place to shut down and i'll be waiting for it to happen. I will never come back here or give it a second chance and i will be spreading this horrible experience with everyone i know so that they don't waste the time or money coming here. read more

Just had a terrible experience at lunchtime. Couldn't get either of 2 waitstaff to take our lunch order. The restaurant was not very busy. There was a large party who had ordered early and their lunches were being delivered. There were 2 other tables of two who got waited on & their food delivered before my party of four - we had arrived first. When we asked the second time if we could give our orders the waiter (I was told at the front desk when I complained that he was the manager) was extremely rude. We went for the Sunday breakfast buffet. Plain scrambled eggs, sausage links, creamed chipped beef, potatoes, muffins, hash, fruit, coffee, tea, and OJ. The "pastries" were small and out of a bag or box. This is a buffet and drinks were not served. However, we did have a very pleasant young woman who introduced herself as our server. Truly, the only thing she served us was our check - everything else was up to us. This is not like a Chinese restaurant where the server brings hot tea and needs to keep clearing the dishes. I always tip at least 20% (usually 25% - 28%) for a non-buffet meal and the tip varies for a buffet. For the first time ever I tipped one dollar which I think was generous given the fact that I was tipping her for bringing our check and literally nothing else. The bill for two (not including the tip) was almost $18. For that amount we can go anywhere for breakfast and be served as well. All in all it was OK but we will not return. For that price the hotel could have provided omelets and real pastries at the least. read more

We are at the Venezia for the Easter Buffet. The cost was $25 per person and we had to use paper cups for the coffee and had to serve ourselves. In addition while the food was acceptable the desserts were simply pettifors that can be purchased at a food distributor. Finally when we paid, we overlooked the fact that a $20 gratuity had already been added by the restaurant and another $25 was added for gratuity. When the server took the credit card she did not ask if we meant to add a duplicate tip. We did not expect a high end buffet but these items were a BIG disappointment. read more

THE WORST BRUNCH EVER! Let alone for a Mother's Day Brunch. We were a party of eight that went there today for a 1 pm seating. Total chaos. We were seated for 20 minutes before we ever got silverware. They totally forgot the "breakfast" part of "brunch." No scrambled eggs, no bacon, no sausage, no French toast, no pancakes. The only thing breakfast was an omelet station and the lone cook was working his but off but you would have to wait a long time. They did have dry chicken, fatty pot roast and bland pork loin with some dried out potatoes and some withered cooked veg. No bread, no rolls, and no bagels left. When we got to the dessert table it was virtually empty. They also charged extra for hot tea or iced tea. Service was NON-EXISTANT and they charged an automatic 20% gratuity on top. STAY AWAY. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was excited to eat out for Mother's Day. Big mistake coming here. First, we got up and started serving ourselves after waiting for a server for 30 minutes. The food was disgusting and offered very few options. They ran out of plates so there was a line. They weren't even that busy, but nobody seemed to know what was going on. At the end of our meal, a snotty waitress with a bad attitude actually came over and acted like we just there and asked us if we needed anything.
