    Lamb Biryani

We usually order for pickup from this place whenever we are craving fish pakora and lamb biryani. We have also tried their butter chicken and tikka masala. Their food is consistently delicious. We have not tried dining in so I'm holding off on the fifth star.

The food was outstanding!! The service was horrible! I'd definitely go back though, for more chicken makhni, lacha paratha, and freshly brewed chai. Regarding the service, abysmal. The waiters were hanging out watching the World Cup while ignoring dirty tables piled with old food cluttered on several tables. At the end of our meal we ordered something to go and they let it sit on the counter without telling us. We were a party of 2 but they charged a service charge meant for tables of 6! So GO eat there and enjoy the yummy food but set your expectations for service accordingly.

A traditional Indian eatery in a small mall serving authentic Indian dishes. We visited there on a Friday evening around 6:00 pm. To our surprise, the place looked almost empty. We were seated promptly and food came quickly after ordering. The first to came was the Vegetable Pakora, a deep fried battered mix vegetable dish. It was crunchy, slightly spicy and nicely done. The rest of the dishes came soon after. The chicken masala was good. The coco lamb curry was tasty and the meat tender. Most of the dishes were stews and were excellent when used as dippings with naan. The naan came in plain or favored with garlic. Most of us liked the garlic ones better. Portions were relative small but the prices were just right. Service was good. If you like something different, this would be the place to be.

Jan 16 2026 3.9 stars Normally we will drive from Crockett to Dublin for Indian food. A long drive since we often hit commute trafic on the way home. Shalimar's Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken and their rice. Shalimar is a bit holee-in-the- wallee but their food is delicious. Today we decided to give Paradise a chance and save some driving miles and time.. First impression. The glass entrance door could use some windex and tape removed. Sprucing up. Looking good. Maybe this place IS Just Like Shalimar but without the drive. Inside the place looks spacious and clean with the exception of two pieces of litter near a band stage that keep screaming to be picked up. As we were not greeted when we arrived, we walked across the restaurant to interupt the cashier\waiter''s conversation he is engaged in. We are told we should take our menus he hands us to the table of our choosing and that he will be our waiter. The Waiter\Cashier is charming and attentive on every interaction we have with him after this. After about 30 minutes our Tandoori Chicken arrives sizzling and steaming on a heated metal plate. A nice touch. That heated metal plate kept the chicken hot the entire meal. The size of the Tandoori order was smaller than we are used to but I'm still happy I'm not driving to Dublin. My wife complains that the chicken tastes "old" as if it was precooked and then reheated. The other items arrived. We both loved the Tikka Masala , Rice and Garlic Naan. And enjoyed skipping the round trip to Dublin. We wanted to order more rice but the Waiter/Cashier was being bum rushed with what looked like to-go orders and I didn't want to wait in line to ask for rice. Our meal is almost finished and the Waiter/Cashier stops by to ask how things are. We mention the rice story and he immediately offers an order of rice and Tikka Masala gravy. Turns out it was the rice With Chicken in the gravy. Nice one Sir. Wife and I both agree that we will stop by for Tikka Masala but will be driving to Dublin for Tandori Chicken. Take note that there may be an automatically applied service charge added to your bill regardless of your party size. We got one for a party of two. Also the toilet bowl in the first of two variable sex restrooms that you come to is not totally secured to the floor.

I asked to substitute an item on the Thali from chicken to a vegetable & they said it would be too complicated. Seeing as to how vegetables are cheaper than chicken I don't know why it was an issue. If there are no substitutions I would just write that on the menu so customers are aware. Otherwise the server was very nice, service with a smile and kind attitude. Food was a 10/10. Chai was soo good. Enjoyed every moment. The price is fair aswell. $15 per thali x2 I believe chai was $3.00 , 2 samosas were $8.00 and I ordered chicken tikka, rice and garlic naan for my husband to go as-well not sure what those prices were individually. Another recommendation would be to change the aesthetic of the restaurant, the color blue looks very unpleasant on the walls, maybe a maroon or red would have complimented the curtains and decor a bit more. But overall the food was so good I can't complain. Was going to give 4 stars due to the substitution issue but that would be unfair. Will definitely be back !

A go-to for good reason. Our usuals all hit the spot, can't go wrong with any of the items there. Clearly their take-out popularity has only further skyrocketed, as one of the workers told me I had to wait 30 min because they had a lot of take-out orders to handle. Funnily enough, their dining room was quite empty still. No complaints, well-deserved!

My husband and I came here on a Friday night. The place was spacious and so we had our choice of seats. We were greeted with a friendly smile. The waiter was responsive and quick, friendly and checked on us often. The food was amazing! We ordered chicken tikka masala, rice aloo Gobi, garlic naan bred, and vegetable Samosa. We ordered everything medium spicy, and it was just right, it made my nose run. What I liked about this food was that the food just wasn't spicy, you could really taste the various flavors behind the spicy. A lot of DoorDash have come in and out of here. Looks like a lot of people order for pick up. Will definitely be coming back.

Check out my previous review for thoughts on other dishes. Adding a couple more here- They have an assortment of Indian beers - we tried a few and they're pleasant light lagers Mango Lassi - a thick sweet mango yogurt drink - a crowd pleaser Goat Curry - one of the few dishes that are bone-in - I really like this dish and it eats similar to a stew Dahi Bhallla Chaat - If you put yogurt, tamarind chutney, and green chutney on anything it will taste good. The crisps are delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the fritters - they're a bit grainy and soft.

    Garlic Naan

One of my favorite Indian places in the bay! Garlic naan and butter chicken are so addictingly good, 10/10 food. Haven't tried their desserts yet but I will soon! I just can't give five stars because of how we were treated when we dined in instead of getting takeout. I don't expect amazing service, nor do I really care about it as long as we get our food. But I've never experienced such unpleasant customer service. The young man taking our order seemed so annoyed when we just had a couple questions about the portion sizes. The other staff are very attentive and friendly though.

My friend had the Pakora dish with chickpeas and was very tasty and fresh. I had the chicken tandoori which has a Smokey tang to them and the jasmine rice and sauces were all excellent. My chicken was moist and juicy and came out steaming on a hot platter. The serving sizes were generous and the price was very reasonable. The owner offered some tasting of Free Kittens beer and it was also delicious and we ordered some. The beer selection is second to none and had my favorite oatmeal stout ! It was quiet and seating was comfortable. I had leftovers as there was so much to eat despite being hungry from moving furniture all day. The menu is expansive and the food came quickly, a definite return choice in East Bay off the beaten path.

We rang the bell multiple times and then as we were about to go to a different place, thinking there was no one around, the cook came out and took our orders. I could tell he was a but overwhelmed since we were a group of 5, but he was really nice and courteous. He also answered the questions we had concerning the food. It took about 40 - 50 mins for our food to get in. We were the only ones in the restaurant so I'm surprised it took the long. That being said, i realized there was only one cook in the kitchen to it makes sense why it took so long however, I was not mentally prepared to wait that long. Around 12 pm, the hostess came in and was shocked to see us. She apologized for being late and wanted to get our orders but we told her the cook already got them. After waiting for about 50 mins, we finally got our orders. The food was AMAZING. Starting with the chicken sekuwa. It was a complete 10/10. I would definitely come back just for this. It was seasoned to perfection, very tender and juicy. The C Momo was very crispy and covered in a nice sweet chilli sauce. They're like deep fried dumplings. I would give it an 8/10. The lamb curry was very savory and filling. We got that with some rice and roti. It paired very well. I would also rate that an 8/10. The lamb thali was good but I think I was overwhelmed with everything on the plate. It was not bad, the lamb and lentil soup were good but I think I did not know how best to eat it so I could not fully appreciate it. I would give it a 6.5 The thai iced tea was pretty standard one. Very nice and not too sweet. 8/10 for ne The food here was pretty remarkable. I usually don't care about 'bad' service but this one really had a huge impact and stopped me from giving it a higher rating. I would not be too keen on coming back here with how understaffed they are but I do understand. If you're not in a rush, and are ready to grow your fruit of patience, I would definitely say the food is worth the wait and it was really good.

The paapdi chaat was pretty decent with the crunchy namkeen discs holding up layers of diced potatoes, masala, yogurt, sweet chutney, and chickpeas. Personally, I preferred the samosa chaat. The samosas stayed crispy inspite of the layers of chutney and warm channa masala heaped on top. All in all both the dishes were pretty nice. The confusing part is the paucity of chaat items on the menu. The establishment literally has "chaat" in it's name but you will find only three items under the "Chaat" subsection of the menu; the menu was dominated by lunch/dinner items. I did spy an "Aloo tikki" dish in the menu, I do wonder if it's served as an appetizer instead of as a "chaat". I wish them well and hope they get better with time, and hopefully with more chaat items on the menu.

Granting them the 4 stars. You can choose the spice level as well. Every dish we got we enjoyed. Lassis were sweet, yogurty, and had nice spice to it. Samosas chana were also well flavored, paired well with the sauces and chickpeas, and crispy after being deep fried. Tikka masala and butter chicken were served in roughly 8 inch length dishes. Wonderfully seasoned, I would eat them for the sauce alone and chicken was tender. Served with rice and works great with it, but we also got some garlic naan (very garlicky would recommend). Chicken momos were ok in my opinion. Ok flavor but juicy and skin wasn't too thick. Isn't my taste personally, but similar to a korean mandu. However, can't rate them 5 stars because the service wasn't that great. We weren't checked on at all during our meal (or any of the tables next to us), no one even came to refill water. I've had it before, but I don't remember it being chilled on the inside, but what I do like about it what is that? It has a crispy shell when you bite into it. The veggie samosas were my favorites. The butter chicken was kind of bland as well as the tikka masala. It did not stop me from finishing my garlic naan with our dishes but I found myself wishing it was more flavorful. My vegan mango lassi had a taste that I wasn't too fond of and didn't finish it. At the end of the meal, it was more than $100 and that was sticker shock for me. I don't think I'm returning, but the service is friendly.
