Lots of good points to this restaurant. It's set up for large parties, feels open and has a stage. My order was to go. However the food may be a bit too spicy for me. I love Indian flavors however have a sensitive palette to spicy heat. The Samosas tasted like someone accidentally dumped the spice jar in, it overwhelmed the vegetables. I'm searching for my new local butter chicken restaurant and was happy when I read them serve theirs with shredded chicken because that tends to be more tender. However I received chunks of chicken. It was tender and the flavor was good. Deal breaker for me was the nan. I don't think it's too much to expect hot off the grill naan. Looks like paradise could possibly be my regular Indian spot moving forward... the restaurant is located in a small strip plaza. We ordered for take-out and after my partner left, they called and said they gave us the wrong order. When he went back to exchange, they let us keep the item and gave us our missing items which was nice. We ordered the samosas which were traditional and nothing out of the ordinary, I enjoyed both of the mint and tamarin chutney. We also ordered the Tikka Misala Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Aloo Matar. The Aloo Matar was the star of the show for me, the chili/spices sauce was so rich and mouthwatering, pairing perfectly with the naan and the rice. Will def go back to try some more items! read more

This is a great hole in the wall restaurant with tasty and authentic Indian food. It reminds me of the mom and pop type places. Very unassuming interior and almost looks like a cafeteria/diner. So don't expect your utensils to be changed out at every meal but the staff is super friendly and the food is worth the visit. We had a large table so we ordered quite a bit. We can't eat too spicy so we opted for the milder options. We got the lamb curry, lamb biryani, butter chicken, naan and garlic naan, pakora, saag paneer, and Chana masala. And a round of mango lassi for all! The food was very good and came in these cute metal vessels. I personally was super happy that we got metal utensils and ceramic plates. Every restaurant I go to now these days are plastic everything. If I had to pick a few favorites, I would say my favorites were the butter chicken, pakora, Chana masala and the garlic naan. The food was outstanding!! The service was horrible! I'd definitely go back though, for more chicken makhni, lacha paratha, and freshly brewed chai. Regarding the service, abysmal. The waiters were hanging out watching the World Cup while ignoring dirty tables piled with old food cluttered on several tables. At the end of our meal we ordered something to go and they let it sit on the counter without telling us. We were a party of 2 but they charged a service charge meant for tables of 6! So GO eat there and enjoy the yummy food but set your expectations for service accordingly. read more

A traditional Indian eatery in a small mall serving authentic Indian dishes. We visited there on a Friday evening around 6:00 pm. To our surprise, the place looked almost empty. We were seated promptly and food came quickly after ordering. The first to came was the Vegetable Pakora, a deep fried battered mix vegetable dish. It was crunchy, slightly spicy and nicely done. The rest of the dishes came soon after. The chicken masala was good. The coco lamb curry was tasty and the meat tender. Most of the dishes were stews and were excellent when used as dippings with naan. The naan came in plain or favored with garlic. Most of us liked the garlic ones better. Portions were relative small but the prices were just right. Service was good. If you like something different, this would be the place to be. read more

Jan 16 2026 3.9 stars Normally we will drive from Crockett to Dublin for Indian food. A long drive since we often hit commute trafic on the way home. Shalimar's Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken and their rice. Shalimar is a bit holee-in-the- wallee but their food is delicious. Today we decided to give Paradise a chance and save some driving miles and time.. First impression. The glass entrance door could use some windex and tape removed. Sprucing up. Looking good. Maybe this place IS Just Like Shalimar but without the drive. Inside the place looks spacious and clean with the exception of two pieces of litter near a band stage that keep screaming to be picked up. As we were not greeted when we arrived, we walked across the restaurant to interupt the cashier\waiter''s conversation he is engaged in. We are told we should take our menus he hands us to the table of our choosing and that he will be our waiter. The Waiter\Cashier is charming and attentive on every interaction we have with him after this. After about 30 minutes our Tandoori Chicken arrives sizzling and steaming on a heated metal plate. A nice touch. That heated metal plate kept the chicken hot the entire meal. The size of the Tandoori order was smaller than we are used to but I'm still happy I'm not driving to Dublin. My wife complains that the chicken tastes "old" as if it was precooked and then reheated. The other items arrived. We both loved the Tikka Masala , Rice and Garlic Naan. And enjoyed skipping the round trip to Dublin. We wanted to order more rice but the Waiter/Cashier was being bum rushed with what looked like to-go orders and I didn't want to wait in line to ask for rice. Our meal is almost finished and the Waiter/Cashier stops by to ask how things are. We mention the rice story and he immediately offers an order of rice and Tikka Masala gravy. Turns out it was the rice With Chicken in the gravy. Nice one Sir. Wife and I both agree that we will stop by for Tikka Masala but will be driving to Dublin for Tandori Chicken. Take note that there may be an automatically applied service charge added to your bill regardless of your party size. We got one for a party of two. Also the toilet bowl in the first of two variable sex restrooms that you come to is not totally secured to the floor. read more

We had a last-minute party of 10, and Paradise Indian Restaurant & Sweets was incredibly accommodating. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has such a fun, welcoming energy. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered quite a bit, but the standouts were the Papri Chaat, Malai Tikka Kabob, Butter Chicken, Spicy Chicken Vindaloo, and the Garlic Naan--every single bite was mouthwatering. The service was just as impressive as the food. We were the last table to finish dinner, and they never made us feel rushed. They let us relax, enjoy our meal, and take our time, which was such a refreshing experience. Before we left, we noticed their beautiful display case filled with traditional pastries and sweets. We didn't have room to try any this time, but we'll definitely be back for them! I asked to substitute an item on the Thali from chicken to a vegetable & they said it would be too complicated. Seeing as to how vegetables are cheaper than chicken I don't know why it was an issue. If there are no substitutions I would just write that on the menu so customers are aware. Otherwise the server was very nice, service with a smile and kind attitude. Food was a 10/10. Chai was soo good. Enjoyed every moment. The price is fair aswell. $15 per thali x2 I believe chai was $3.00 , 2 samosas were $8.00 and I ordered chicken tikka, rice and garlic naan for my husband to go as-well not sure what those prices were individually. Another recommendation would be to change the aesthetic of the restaurant, the color blue looks very unpleasant on the walls, maybe a maroon or red would have complimented the curtains and decor a bit more. The ambience is nice. I have not sat down yet, just only ordered takeout, but I like it. The service is good. I wish they gave first responder and military discount discounts, But to each his own. And of course, the food is good. I've had the butter, chicken, and the chicken tiki masala. I wish the naan was more toasted and crispy. But it does have a good taste. You should try it sometime. One of my favorite Indian places in the bay! Garlic naan and butter chicken are so addictingly good, 10/10 food. Haven't tried their desserts yet but I will soon! I just can't give five stars because of how we were treated when we dined in instead of getting takeout. I don't expect amazing service, nor do I really care about it as long as we get our food. But I've never experienced such unpleasant customer service. The young man taking our order seemed so annoyed when we just had a couple questions about the portion sizes. My husband and I came here on a Friday night. The place was spacious and so we had our choice of seats. We were greeted with a friendly smile. The waiter was responsive and quick, friendly and checked on us often. The food was amazing! We ordered chicken tikka masala, rice aloo Gobi, garlic naan bred, and vegetable Samosa. We ordered everything medium spicy, and it was just right, it made my nose run. What I liked about this food was that the food just wasn't spicy, you could really taste the various flavors behind the spicy. A lot of DoorDash have come in and out of here. Prior to my experience with Paradise, the food in the UK was the best, primarily because those restaurants knew how to balance the spices without masking the flavor of the dishes. Well, here we go! A place within driving distance that has a chef who know how to cook..... The staff is friendly and takeout service is also stellar (they don't skimp on takeout portions, like most restaurants). I felt this would have been better if it had slightly more chicken in it and it the onions were cut just slightly smaller (less stringy) compared to some other variations from different restaurants I have tried. Saffron flavor was very light if at all, I could not quite taste it, this is a less fragrant/floral version of a biryani. The chicken samosa was my favorite of all three dishes I tried. The filling was flavorful and outside was crispy/flaky. Lastly, I was surprised to finally find the stuffed gulab jamun mithai/sweet! Seems as though this is not an easy one to find anywhere. It tasted just like I remembered it did when I had it last in India, authentic. Service: 5/5 Upon walking in, there is a kiosk where you can self order your food which is very convenient and helps to save time. This is the BEST Indian food I've had in West county and I'm very glad I found this spot. We first came here about a year ago and I think they just opened. At the time, the service was very slow, but the food was very very good. It seems nowadays the locals have gotten a word thst they serve great Indian food as they get busier with many take out orders and even had an event going on when we went to dine in on a Sunday evening. They have a tablet up front where you can order your food, either to dine in or takeout and paid there too. My favorite is the their coconut lamb curry! It tastes similar to south east Asian curries bc they use coconut milk instead of cream. It was unique I thought since I've never had coconut base curry at other Indian restaurants before. The flavor was always very bold and seasoned very well. It made you keep going for more bite! Be mindful that they are pretty authentic so even the mild curry would have a tad of spice/heat. I also like their chicken Tikka masala and butter chicken, though both dishes tasted very very similar lol. The Naan is also always warm and fresh, love it! We also tried their kulfi, which is Indian ice cream, it was really good. They have a freezer near the kitchen area. The only thing I wish from this restaurant is that I wish they would serve the Indian Chai complimentary just like ost other Indian restaurants. I had had yet to have a really good Indian meal in The East Bay since I moved back in August, and the menu looked right up my alley. I was not disappointed. Everything was made to order - the dal soup, the veggie paratha, and the lamb coco-curry. The lamb was so tender, unusual for a curry dish. They had the big screen tv playing loud (Bollywood?) music videos. I'm surprised there wasn't too many customers on a weekday lunch. We ordered Papri Chaat for appetizer, mango lassi, butter chicken, lamb biryani, and garlic naan. Everything was delicious! Reading the description of the appetizers, we decided to go with Papri Chaat because it was the closest thing to Pani Puri, one of our favorite Indian appetizers/street food. We asked the waiter about Papri chaat versus Dahi Bhalla chaat and he said he would just put one piece of the Dahi Bhalla in there for us to try. I am glad we ordered Papri chaat because it's crunchy in texture and the Dahi Bhalla was kinda soft, not for me. We ordered medium spicy but the butter chicken and lamb biryani were more mild in my opinion. I wish the medium spicy level would be more spicy... maybe they gave us "American medium spicy" if you know what I mean.... I would definitely come back here with the kids.
