The first time I came, my manicurist Kayla was AMAZING! 5 star service. I was getting a fill. She was very attentive to detail, she made sure to ask lots of questions about the shape I wanted, length & how happy I was with each step of the way. She used a small dremmel tool to make sure every nail was clear of extra acrylic material on the bottom of my nails, she flipped my hands around & had me hold them straight up in front of me so she could check that both hands shape of their nails matched. LITERALLY probably the BEST manicure I've ever gotten. Fast forward a month to getting another fill; Kayla was out of town & I ended up with Lilly as my manicurist. She was neither as attentive or as thorough. My nails don't all match in shape, I had to ask her to fix multiple things & now a week or so later, the grow out is showing tons of sharp edges left un-filed & just how bad the shape of my nails was messed up by Lilly. I would go back, due to the exquisite service done by Kayla, the cleanliness of the salon & the fact that they have a TON of colors & offer free drinks. But I would be SURE to request Kayla. The ladies are very sweet and nice, although the service quality leaves a lot to be desired. I just got a mani / pedi gel and there is nail polish all over my fingers and toes, not all of my nail is covered, and just overall looks bad. For $100 I could be going literally anywhere else and / or forgoing it entirely. She did even redo my toes for me after I expressed discontent and the same problems are still there, so a waste of my time, money, and energy. We LOVE coming here to get our nails done! Ivy, Linn, Kitty, Lisa, Nina, and EVERYONE is amazing!! Their new receptionist, Van, is super welcoming. Their prices are reasonable, the salon is extremely well-kept and CLEAN (I'm super picky so this is a really big deal for me because, uh, sanitation! Duh!), and the service is fantastic. Everyone is very meticulous and gentle, and the polish always looks pristine! I will never go anywhere else! Don't risk it! I will NOT be returning. Today was the second time I've been to this place. I was skeptical the first time with the mixed reviews but decided to try them out was really happy. But today after getting a manicure and shellac, my fingers feel like they've been through a meat grinder. The person who did my manicure wore bulky latex gloves the entire treatment. Which seems to have made her unable to properly control the clippers. She cut my cuticles too close in several spots. She also cut my nails funny which is also causing sensitivity. I get that these people might not want to mess up their own nail paint but please not at the sacrifice of paying customers. My daughter, husband and I like to get pedicures here often. The spa itself is very clean. We love that we are offered drinks. They always do a great job on our feet. The only reason I can't give 4 or 5 stars is bc of some of the employees. We went there yesterday and my gal who is very nice and did a good job dropped an implement on the floor and reused it on my feet instead of disinfecting it or grabbing a new one.. I work in this industry and that is unacceptable and against OSHA standards. The other thing that annoyed me was all the extra employees hanging out on the pedicure chairs when they weren't busy. . A few were listening to their phones high on speaker with u tubeor music or just having loud conversations face time. It was very unprofessional and not relaxing. This is the first and last time I visit this nail salon. I walked in without an appointment because on their page they claim "walk in's welcome". I went in and asked for a pedicure, then I decided to ask for a manicure too. The lady rudely told me "We don't have time for you. Come back a different day and make an appointment." I would understand if she let me know in a nice manner, but the way she said it was very rude. When I paid I did not leave a tip because I don't leave a tip to being mistreated. Decided today was a day of pampering, so I went and did pani/medi and eyebrows. 4 stars for B. 2 stars for Tracy. B was my lady who did my pedi and eyebrows and she did a good job. She explained what she was gonna do, asked if I wanted additional things and when I said no she left it at that. She made my eyebrow and lip experience the most pleasant experience a waxing could be. It didn't hurt and she did a good job. I would go back to her for these again. My only complaint is that I had to walk around with no shoes on as my toes where drying, even though my flip flops were right there. Tracy was my lady for my mani. And I won't be returning if she's my lady again. She tried getting me to do the gel or dip nails instead of the Shellack I came in for. And when she tried getting me to switch, she was talking so quiet I couldn't here- almost like she wanted me to say yes without knowing. Then she was rude about my nails, like yea I know they're bad but that's literally why I am in there. Then she tried pressuring me again to do the dip nails. The only positive thing I have to say is that the salon decor was beautiful. By far the WORST service. When I arrived the person sitting at the counter was very unpleasant. I should've walked out at that point. The cuticle/callus removal was done poorly. The nail tech kept painting over my toe nails and used this tool to scrape off the excess nail polish which hurt instead of using some acetone and a brush or just painting my nail not the skin around it. The foot massage took about 30 seconds on each foot and no pressure was applied. As I was walking out I watched her clean up. She washed the bowl out and wiped down the excess water, used no cleaner. I'm disgusted and will be going home to soak my feet to make sure I did not pick up any fungus from that pedicure station. I will not be returning nor will I refer anyone there. The manicures and pedicures they gave me and my granddaughters started to peel the very next day. I dropped $145. in two hours for the four of us with a generous tip. (Why did I do that?!) It WAS our tradition to go here every summer when I come to visit from Colorado, but NO MORE. In addition to the high cost, low quality they have a racket to make you use their ATM machine so they don't have to pay the 2 point whatever percent fee on cards. I tried to pay with my debit card and it "wouldn't work." I tried several times and finally a worker told me to use the ATM. I had just gotten paid the day before so I knew there was money in there and I got cash from their ATM just fine. It really ticked me off! This was the first summer they have ever done this scam. Finally, I am over the manicurists talking amongst themselves. It is RUDE as hell and ridiculous. Either don't talk to anyone or make conversation with your clients. Wow, great service- for the most part. My girlfriend and I were a walk in on a Tuesday morning. We arrived at 9:50, they open at 10 and it was already popping inside with customers. We were seated right away. Yay, no wait time!! First we got our pedis. The tech adjusted the temp to our likings, thank god, because it was too cold at first. She then proceeded to push back my cuticles and what not. First time I've never been hurt during that process! Then came the massage, I could have sat there all day, it felt soo good!! Good deal, especially at $25. After the pedi, I got a French full set. This new tech wasn't as friendly, she wouldn't really talk to me, she instead spoke to the gal getting her nails done in the seat next to me. I personally like my technician to talk to me... She did a good clean job with my nails, however I wanted them a bit shorter because of my job and she didn't really listen. For $45 I expected a bit of better service. Total was $71. Less than two weeks ago (on May 4) I went to Paradise for a lash fill with Nina who did a fantastic job on my lashes and charged me $60. This great value and professionalism prompted me to book myself and my girlfriend a pedicure so we could celebrate mothers day weekend this past Saturday. My pedicurist gave me a laminated sheet and asked me if I would like any of the foot scrubs listed. I chose the tangerine which was lovely. Had a mimosa and got my toes shellac-ed. I then had a shellac polish change on my nails, as did my girlfriend. When all was said and done, they asked me for $95 for my pedicure and shellac change - I must have given a reaction because she said "You had the deluxe pedicure which is $50 plus an extra $15 for shellac polish. And your manicure was $30" -- None of these prices match what they advertise on their website and I was a little irritated. Even more so when they told my friend she owed $90 although she did NOT get the shellac on her toes that allegedly cost $15 more? All other services were identical. I mean, I'm not a math whiz or anything but this doesn't add up. I decided I would not come back for nail services, but I was so impressed with my lashes that I chose to book another fill with Nina, which I had today. Again she did great work. The atmosphere was very calming and quiet. However, when I went to check out, this time she said it was $75... I asked why, and she told me because she had to do more work this time - However, I was just in there for my last lash fill on May 4... So my logic here is that for a less-than-2-week fill it shouldn't cost me $75 if it cost $60 last time. And if my lashes are so sparse in less than 2 weeks, does that mean the work is not actually that good? I really thought this salon was going to be my new go-to place, but the inconsistency in pricing and the sheer sticker shock is upsetting and unfair for the customer. A deluxe pedicure on their website is listed as $36, while lash fills listed as $50, however, this is not what you get charged at the end. Pass on this salon from now on. Paradise nails used to be great! Hi quality. Great nail technicians. The former owners were great to their employees, and patrons. Last summer I noticed a change in the place. First it was quiet. The nail technicians didn't talk to each other like they used tod. Customers weren't as chatty as they used to be. Prices went up, quality went down. The vibe changed. No one seemed happy. One by one, the good nail technicians left. Customers left. My gel's kept cracking/lifting after a week. I was frustrated paying a higher price on my feet & finger nails, and they'd only last a week, when before they lasted 2 1/2 to 3 weeks before I needed a fill/back fill. Thank goodness I found my favorite nail technician by accident, at another local salon. I will never go back to Paradise Nail Salon again. It doesn't matter how many specials they send me by text. Overall, despite the overwhelming smell of chemicals as you enter, my experience was delightful. The shop offers a pretty, but not relaxing atmosphere (too sparkly and slightly gaudy), complimentary drinks, and comfy massage chairs with various modes. The person who attended to me was gentle with my feet and worked diligently and quietly (which I like). If any improvements could be made, I wish they told me about my options for drinks or maybe have a menu for customers. Also, some pointers on how to use the massage chair would be nice. I opted for the water, so I can't really say if their drinks are great. This was the WORST nail experience ever. Attitude of pedicurist was terrible. She didn't prepare my nails at all and just started slapping polish on, all over my skin too. When I said that's not right she begrudgingly took some acetone and went around the nails. They looked like a 5 year old did them. I said no, I want them done right, she had the nerve to say, OK I'll do them one more time. HA! I said I want someone else. The new person did better. On to the fingernails, they kept pushing for a dip, I mean seriously as soon as I walked in. I kept saying no, just a gel manicure. Push, push, push. Finally and boy was I stupid to do it, but I said OK. She dipped my nails in clear dip twice and then put gel over them. They were a mess. I'll bet they don't even have their licenses. I came in for a mani with cats eye gellac polish. The nail tech started by giving me only a small ring of regular color choices. I said again I wanted cats eye. She didn't understand so I pulled up a pic on my phone. I finally got 10 choices. My regular place has about 25+ choices in cats eye. The mani was a joke. I do more at home! Less than 30 seconds of soak, and almost no cuticle removal. I have medium long natural nails that are now several different lengths. Then the tech couldn't get the line to form with the magnet. She kept getting the polish on the magnet for too! My left hand doesn't even show the line- it looks like uneven color My mani and gel polish usually lasts 3 weeks. I'm guessing this won't make 1 ! There was polish on the skin and cuticles so it will start to lift off the nail soon. I won't return!! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! read more

I like the size of the salon and I never have to endure the chemical smell as have other smaller salons. On my most recent visit, I asked if they could do a simple design and was told yes. But then when it was time to actually add the design I was told they don't actually have that polish or brush and would substitute another. Which wouldn't work but they tried. It was too thick and looked tacky. I appreciate the effort and the woman tried her best but I would have rather they been up front and told me before we started that they do not have the proper polish or brush to do the simple design. Paradise... Oh where do I begin? I've had good and bad. I stopped getting "shellac" manis because their product is incredibly poor. Chipped nails in two to three days, and you just spend $35...yeah right, no. I've started leaning into the dip acrylic nails. 90% of the time I'm extremely happy with them. They're shiny, they don't break and unlike formed acrylic, don't seem to need the fills as often. But beware who does your manicure. Ivy, she's the best. She'll take her time, chat you up, and take care of you. I've learned to stick with who I know Lisa, however. Once, and I say this, once performed a dip mani on me. The acrylic cracked the next day. Why? Because the binder wasn't properly applied to my nail to begin with, then sanded unevenly, and sealed poorly, then smudged with cuticle oil before I even left. I mentioned all of my concerns as she was doing the service and she just ignored me. I mentioned something to the lady at the desk, and she got the manager, who walked up and looked at them and said, "you're fine". Needless to say, I was pissed when I had to return the next day to have the hole repaired. I asked them to redo the whole set and they declined. They simply patched the hole and "attempted" to be sand the uneven nails... Sad. The salon is clean, but pricey. And customer service is a gamble. Take your chances read more

Let me begin by saying I have been to Paradise Nails a handful of times for pedicures. It is a convenient location for me to get to from work and wait out traffic before heading home. I have never had trouble with them before, and love the massage chairs, and (most of the time) the service. I have never posted a bad review. THAT being said... I came here on Wednesday to get my acrylics removed and had, hands down, the worst experience I have ever had at any nail salon. Short story: Had a masochistic nail lady who left me in pain and with a terrible manicure. Long story: I had called ahead to specify that I needed acrylics removed long before my appointment and asked for a simple clean up + some polish. I also scheduled a pedicure. Upon arrival, I was seated and received the pedicure. They told me that someone else would come over and start on my acrylics. The pedicure was fine, but nearly an hour had passed and no one had come by to start on my acrylics. I don't get them often and I didn't know what the protocol was, so I asked. Upon flagging someone down, I found out they'd forgotten about me. Then they left me alone for another 10-15 minutes with no communication. Finally, someone walked over and brusquely sat down. She started dremeling my gel polish off. I did not soak my hands in acetone, etc at any point. After getting enough of the polish off (it was flying everywhere), she started clipping my acrylic nails. At certain points it felt like she was clipping the acrylics dangerously low, and getting my real nails underneath. Fine if it happened by mistake a couple times.. not cool when it's happening on every single nail and she is ignoring my yelps of pain. After roughly plying my acrylics off with the sharp point of her nail file, the nail tech asked me if I could meet her at the mani table so that the pedi lady could clean up the station. She impatiently waited at her station as I gathered my things and did not offer to help me. She then filed, manically clipped, and painted over the remaining glue on my nails. I could tell she had begun to notice some of her errors, but my nails were cut so short there was no way to fix them. So she painted over her mistakes. I have attached a picture of my resulting manicure. The nails are cut crookedly, the polish is uneven because she did not buff/ remove the glue, and yes. Part of the nail on my thumb is cut down to the SKIN. She tried to hide it by painting over the broken nail. I admit I had a bit of a delayed reaction to the mani. But it was not until I went to work the next day that I felt how painfully short she had trimmed my nails. The photos were taken immediately after receiving the manicure... with one taken after my chipped nail fell off today to reveal that she had also cut the skin underneath. highly doubt I'll be back. I just got my 2nd dip manicure and I absolutely love it. The nail technician is Annie and she is amaaaazing. She clearly has fantastic skill and she takes it seriously. I enjoyed manicures there before but now I'm excited for what I'll do next. What I just got done is an ombré "baby blue eyes" and white French manicure and Annie did such a nice job. My mom and I have been coming here for years and have had mostly good experiences. A couple of days ago, my mom and I decided to get our nails done for a wedding we were attending as a way to treat ourselves and have some self care. We drove 2 hours specifically to go to Paradise Nails, and we had an awful experience. I didn't receive any shaping or filing. They didn't tend to my cuticles and to top it all off, the lady that did my nails insisted on putting a clear dip base on my nails before the gel polish I had asked for. I was charged for that even though I didn't want it or ask for it. My mom and I both got paraffin wax on our hands, which we didn't ask for and were charged $7 a piece for that. Also, after our pedicures, we were split up and put on the opposite sides of there room from one another and I was handed off to someone different for my "manicure". Worst manicure ever. I had just rehabbed my nails too, and they were looking so healthy. This tech ruined my nails. The gel polish was applied so poorly, it only covered 3/4 of my nail. Between that and no cuticle care, it looked like my manicure was 2 or 3 weeks old. Not fresh. Not to mention, both my tech and my moms kept pressuring us to get our brows done, and to be honest, it was really irritating. Even after politely declining the first time, she kept after me. They ended up charging my mom and I almost $250 for a Gel Mani & Ped!!! That normally would've cost us $80 at this salon. We asked why it was so much and we were told that we had agreed to services that we weren't even asked about, and the work/attention we did receive was shotty!!! As soon as we left and were getting into my car, the tech chased us down saying we owed her more money because she miscalculated. She CHASED us down and demanded we come back and pay her the $5 she forget to charge us, ON TOP of the almost $250 we'd already paid. That was embarrassing and the fact that it was their error, I think that was a tacky move. My nails turned out lumpy and the color was applied unevenly. This was an awful experience that had me in tears. I took a day off of work, spent 4 hours in a car to receive some pampering and I just feel ripped off. I work really hard for my money, as does my mom, and it was completely wasted at this salon. I don't think the people at this salon realize that their customers money has value and we are paying for an experience and a product. I wouldn't mind paying more if I felt like the experience and outcome had been worth it, but that wasn't the case. I truly felt and feel taken advantage of. I couldn't wait to get home and take my nails off. I ended up redoing my own nails and toes for the wedding. This was such a huge disappointment. read more

Got pedicure from here. The lady doing my nails (her name was Trassy I think) literally cut off my skin with cuticles more then 3 times i.e. 3 toe fingers on my foot .. I had to ask her twice to use cuticle softener ..Before she starts cutting off my skin instead of cuticle. (WHY wont you use it ???!!!) Also she was so distracted..kept looking left right while *cutting* my cuticles I mean seriously !!!!!!? I doubt these ladies are certified or even trained. NO apology whatsoever! She ignored me as if nothing happened!! Well guess my my toes hurt still and one of the nail seem to be swollen I am just hoping its not getting infected. I was super excited to get my nails done from this place only because my friend said she got her pedicure from them and they were good. I used to get acrylics all the time and for a while, I haven't gotten them. I was excited to try this place out and get them back. Well, they cut my nails crooked. See, the reason why I notice little things like this is because since I used to get my nails done a lot, it really bothers me when I see little imperfections like this. Secondly, there are dents in my nails from her not evening out the powder on top of the nail when she dipped it into the acetone. I even stopped to stare at them and she just told me to put my hand underneath the gel cure machine... usually when i get acrylics done, they're supposed to cut and even out your real nail so that it doesn't show underneath the acrylics..well they didn't and you can see my real nail underneath. They need to take more time into their customers. I give them 2 stars though because of their nice salon, but other than that, I don't think I'll be returning here. read more

If your looking for a rude, quick, half fast job. This is a place for you! This is differently the Great Clips of Nail Salons. I went in here last minute for mani and pedi only cause my friend had a gift certificate for herself. Was treated as if we were a burden. Then they did half fast job on my nails, During my french mani i advised the white was a little thick for my liking, go a little attitude from her. So i pay $5 extra for attitude! Wanted to get a dip fill, was told it wasn't dip?? So she ended up just removing the entire nail and doing basic shellac? Then the next day the polish has a dingy look to it already. When you call them to advised they want to charge me for color change, I've been getting my nails done all over Beaverton for a decade. This place is the worst. Let me start by saying I was really excited to try this place. Several friends had recommended it. However, the bad hygiene practices, unethical customer service and unsafe practices are going to keep me from coming back. It started off nice. They offered us a beverage. However, they poured the drink in a glass and didn't give us the whole can like other places do. Also, handling glass on those tiny massage chair tables over tile floor is really tricky. Giving the whole can would have been safer. I went with a friend and brought my own nail kits for both of us. I'm used to bringing my own nail kit and know what needs to go in them. I sat down in the chair and the tech began to work on my feet. I have no idea where the emory board, scrubber and buffer she was using came from. Not hygienic. It was about 10 minutes into my pedicure that she asked if I had a nail kit. She took both my nail kit and the one for my friend and put them near her Rubbermaid box. All of the techs seemed to have a box with nail tools in them. I didn't realize it then but she put both of my nail brushes in her box as well. As she was finishing up the pedicure I looked down at my nail kits and I checked to make sure everything was there. I noticed both of the brushes were missing. I pointed that out to her and asked if she still had my brush. She looked annoyed and then finally looked down in her Rubbermaid box and pulled out one brush. She gave it back to me. I then asked her about the other brush. Again, she looked annoyed and then she told me I didn't bring two brushes. Believe me, I packed those nail kits before I came and each kit had a brush. She claimed there wasn't a second brush, that a second brush wouldn't fit in the other kit I brought. It fit. I packed it myself. The lady had stolen my brush and wouldn't return it. We finished up the pedicure and I noticed that she hadn't put my flip-flops on before applying the nail polish. My feet were slippery and slimy from all of the lotion that they put on them and I didn't have shoes on. It didn't matter. She told me to go walk over to the drying table BARE FOOTED on slick tile flooring. I had to walk very slowly in order to not fall. Not hygenic and very unsafe! I sat down at the table and waited for my friend to finish. I noticed that it was still 20 minutes before they closed. My tech came back to me and told me she needed me to cash out and pay then because they were closing. That annoyed me because another customer had just arrived to START a pedicure. I gave the tech my credit card to run. She came back to me and told me it needed a pin. So, once again, I had to get up, barefooted, and walk over to the credit card machine, with slippery feet on a slick floor, doing my best not to fall, to type in my pin. Not hygienic or safe. The place is nicely decorated so that keeps it from getting only one star. read more

I have gone to Paradise Nails a handful of times. I went with a friend today, and I enjoyed it simply for her company. The service has always been very iffy. My nail tech had an attitude the entire time, did not smile at all me once... Their service list states that they offer a complimentary drink, and they didn't do this, I had to ask for some water. I understand it must have been a busy Saturday, but the customer service here is in need of a revamp. read more
