I love this nail salon. Ive been going here regularly for years, even got one of my besties to love it as well. This review is not about the service but the change in design since they've changed ownership. Besides the amazing service, I loved the dark walls, the dark wood, dim lighting asthetic they had going on. I could legit close my eyes and relax. I went in this morning and was blinded by fluorescent lighting, white walls and crystal chandeliers... Why change it? I miss the darkness. I can only speak for myself but most nail salons are too bright and i found solace in Paradise Nails before the change in decoration. I still love this salon but I'm also sad. read more

I found this place on a whim. It was early in the morning coming from Jamba Juice and so nobody was in here. My understanding is that mornings or weekdays are the best. This is now my third time here and I absolutely love it. I've had different staff each time for manis and pedis. Absolutely amazing with the service. I don't want to give away my favorite go-to nail salon, because it's the ONLY nail salon I use in Sacramento. It's clean, friendly and convenient to midtown and East Sacramento. Jeannine is the best beautician for gel pedicure and acrylic powder for manicures. Summer time wrecks my feet (sand, sandals etc) and Jeannine keep them happy fresh all year. I had a hard time finding the right place. I went to various locations for a couple years before I found Paradise Nails. What I like best is the way they clean my cuticles. All the other saloons use a cutter which doesn't help. Paradise does it the European way, using a nail drive to smooth the dead skin away. As a result my manicures last longer even after weekend housework. Good to know; it's cash only. There is an atm, with a fee. Or there's Safeway next door for cash back. Also come early because parking is tight. But once you find a spot it's a great place to relax. Good for groups, events, wedding parties, mother day, friends night out. read more

Visited Friday 4/14/2023 Dip nails and pedicure $95.00 Dip nails chipped by Sunday Morning. They repaired one nail with an appointment. Once I made it home a second nail chipped. Sadly, I was only visiting a friend. Once I made it to Oakland. Third nail chipped. Suggestion ask for three dips. No fault of the shops the two dips were not strong enough. After spending $95 and your nails don't last. Not a good look at all. Continue Tuesday! I lost a nail. I had to file down. Wednesday! Nail chipped! Less than 6 days nails completely damaged $45 down the drain! I was told dip last 2-3 weeks 'pre like 2-3 days. read more

Came here for a manicure and pedicure and the moment I walked in the attitude of the staff was the worst I've ever witnessed in my life. The male staff member was particularly unhappy. If you do not enjoy working with other humans, do something else, you're making your customers extremely uncomfy. So much for making an appointment at this establishment. I've been coming here for a long time and ever since they've been under new management things have gotten worse. I had an appointment scheduled for 11 AM. I arrived at 10:50 and was told there would be an hour and a half wait. Just before I walked in, there were two other customers that walked in, had no appts and were taken. This is not the first time this is happened. Appears they are more money hungry then satisfying customers and keeping the appointments that they scheduled. They also don't tell you that they are cash only. I literally brought people there. every single time other than the first time I was there I've been very disappointed. I don't understand why when you get a pedicure they act like you're bothering them when you tell them to please scrub the bottom of your feet. That's the whole reason why I came here. I usually go to M Nail Salon, which I love because the staff are so friendly and do a great job. I went to Paradise Nails one time due to my regular salon being closed. I've been getting gel pedicures forever without issues. Paradise Nails somehow caused a longitudinal long crack in the nail of my big toe, which extended halfway down the nail, and I didn't know it until my regular salon removed the gel polish. To add insult to injury, I also had a fungal infection in the crack in the nail. So gross! It will forever to grow out the nail and resolve the infection. I will NEVER go back to Paradise Nails. read more

I have finally found a nail salon to go to on the regular. First of all, they do a very good job on the gel manicures and pedicures (regular polish) that I have had. They are fast and very friendly. The other very important thing is that I go with my partner who is trans (MtF) and they have been absolutely wonderful with her, fussing over her nails and doing fancy little extras. When given their menu to pick what service I wanted, it was handed to me with their a few services face up and I was not informed there were other pedicure options that didn't include all the add ins. It started off as a nice relaxing pedicure, but I was not massaged at all on the legs or the feet. She's simply just rubbed lotion into my legs and feet. The other woman who did my fill and gel was great, she even mentioned she would get her to massage my feet since it was not included. I got the paradise manicure which includes sugar scrubs, parafin wax, mud mask, and an oil/Himalayan salt massage along with polish and clean up of the nail. I definitely recommend her!
