We recently stayed at the Paradisus in Cabo San Lucas. Do not make the same mistake. It was one of our worst stays anywhere ever. We have been to resort hotels in Mexico 7 times over the years. Paradisus rates dead last. We were supposed to be picked up at airport. But car did not arrive for 2 hours after we landed. No apology. The room we thought we were getting booking through the hotel website turned out to be a misrepresentation. Ocean view does not mean ocean view. It means a partial view. What gets an ocean view is ocean front. But when we booked through the hotel website, all they showed on the website was the ocean view. But no distinction between ocean view or ocean front on the web site. The front desk clerk was very rude when we brought attention to our room situation. They did finally change us to a better ocean view but not the ocean front room we thought we had booked. We were led to believe we would get certain things if we listened to their club presentation. We attended the presentation but everything they promised did not come through . The food for the 5 star class of resort we thought we were booking was average at best. At least one restaurant was closed every night. So choices were limited. The Italian was buffet only. Who wants to eat Italian buffet style at a nice restaurant? Do not eat at the steak restaurant. You will be charged ala carte and it will cost you far more than you would pay at a high end steak place in the US. The Asian restaurant and Sante were good though. Service in most of the restaurants was very slow. Even though it looked like at any time the restaurants were no more than 1/2 full. Many of the staff spoke little or no English. Very hard to communicate wants and needs. Do not order room service. The food was inedible. Maid service was spotty. Some days early. Some days later afternoon. Turn down service happened on some nights; other nights not at all. Could go on but overall a very unsatisfactory experience. Would never go back there or any Melia hotel. read more

I'm not sure why I have not checked Yelp more for Cabo / Cancun resorts. Have not had luck in the past. I would say overall this place is between a 3.5-4. Let's start with the positives: *a little more secluded, seemed like less people than other resorts *near a bunch of golf courses *pretty resort *friendly staff *assigned host *kids play / daycare (over 4 I think) *large beach area, swim-able *Italian, asian, Mexican dinner options. Asian was my favorite *in the middle of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, cheap Uber ride *swim up bar near kid pool area *snacks in room Negatives: *limited overall food wise, some lacking flavors. No lunch buffet, no major American / seafood option really. Dinner Restaurants not open every night *service is a little slow both at restaurants and room service even though they weren't near capacity *no real kids splash / water park area *limited on some drinks, for example didn't have stuff to make a blue Hawaiian Overall, I've been to worse, but not really that many better in a lot of ways. We loved the staff here, and I think they are working on upgrading the hotel which is probably a good idea. If you like all inclusive maybe you will like this, but this was not for me. The rooms had a very bad smell and we asked for at least something to mask it with but got nothing. (Think musky, moldy old public pool). We were not able to confirm a cabana reservation but once we arrived we got taken great care of by Jesus who is the pool manager. And we got a cabana with a great view for the four days we were there. Carlos was our main server and he and Jesus managed to get us some good champagne! They worked so hard and we were so thankful for their help and attention. You have a few different restaurants to choose from, but the food is just ok. (Undercooked rice at the sushi place is just one example.) The people was great! The place was ehh ok. read more

Paradisus Los Cabos is a gem of a resort! We planned a mini getaway to find some sunshine during the January month and we are so glad we did. The resort is about 25 minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from the marina. So pretty centrally located but not too close to all the hustle and bustle. We were warmly greeted and had a very nice check in at the Reserve lounge. We paid a little extra for Reserve which we thought was very well worth it. It comes with a personal concierge, private pool, restaurant, bar access and more. So so good! Our concierge was Juventino and he was amazing! The room was nice and modern. Not the biggest but who spends all their time in the room anyhow. The only issue was the bathroom was smaller than most and the lighting was a little strange the way it was all connected. Other than that totally fine. What we truly loved was the quaint atmosphere and beautiful natural grounds. The pools, walkways, landscape, views are all breathtaking. The beachfront is also great with a beach you can walk through and swim in. Now for the best part..the food! Out of all the all inclusive resorts I've stayed, Paradisus by far had the best food. Paradisus is our first all-inclusive option. We had the pleasure of checking in for 5 days. We ended up eating at all the restaurants. The pool atmosphere - very chill. A few days they had music and a DJ going. A few others, nothing. It's a great way to start your day and get some early sun. The bar opens at 10am. Not a whole lot going on, but if you're into chilling and grabbing a few drinks, this is ideal. The ocean was very rocky. Purple and Black flags everyday, but there is an area to enjoy around there that doesn't get hit with the massive waves and undertows/rip tides. Entertainment - not a lot going on. They have music at night but doesn't play past 10/10:30pm. The coffee and ice cream area is delicious. Throw them a few dollars for their troubles. The breakfast buffet is a must. Another great way to start your day. Overall, it's a chill atmosphere, but wouldn't expect to be overly entertained. You have to do that for yourself. The services was incredible and the friendliness of the staff was also amazing. It would be the perfect honeymoon, an older adults stay, or just a few day getaway. We stayed over Labor Day weekend. Overall, it's a large, clean, and beautiful property with modern aesthetics and well-kept grounds. The layout is a bit unconventional--especially the swim-up rooms. While they had everything we needed and included a semi-private patio, the privacy is compromised by other guests swimming past your area, which was a bit awkward. The resort does offer free entertainment like a fire show and karaoke, which was a nice touch. However, we visited during the off-season, so not all the restaurants were open every day. The Asian restaurant stood out as my favorite, but the others were pretty average. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel--and paid extra--was because it was advertised as one of the few with a swimmable beach. Unfortunately, the waves were still rough and we kept getting knocked over, so it didn't feel worth the upgrade. We ended up going to Medano Beach for better swimming conditions. Our room wasn't ready at check-in, and we had to wait two hours. To their credit, the staff let us use another room to change and explore while we waited. They also gave us a complimentary one-hour massage as compensation. However, the massage took place in a basic room (not in the actual spa, which was under construction), so it didn't feel like a true spa experience. The massage itself was more of a light rub than anything therapeutic. One thing to note: the hotel does not offer a free shuttle unless you're staying four nights. We paid $19 per person for a shared shuttle, or you could pay around $70 for a private taxi from the airport. All in all, I'd rate this resort a 6 out of 10. It has potential, but given the lack of a truly swimmable beach, off-season limitations, and a few service misses, I wouldn't return. read more

Imagine arriving to your hotel after a long day of traveling, checking in at the front desk to only have them surprise you with an additional $1,700 invoice, despite already having a paid confirmation receipt from their reservations department. This is the horror story we had to deal with as a result of entertaining their Meliá Circle presentation on our previous stay here at Paradisus. Let me first warn you: DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT ON THE "5 Day, 4 Nights complimentary gift certificate" they are pitching as an incentive for sitting in their 2 hour presentation for time share. After not buying their pushy sales pitch, they issued the certificate via e-mail a week later. The email states that in order to "activate" it you had to pay $49 as a processing fee and call a number in the Dominican Republic. At no point during the initial pitch for timeshare, the presentation or booking process did they mention that when one arrives to the hotel, it is at that time they will will discover how much the "complimentary" stay will truly cost. When we arrived from the airport, they initially tried to tell us that they could not find the complimentary gift certificate in our reservations. So I had to show them the email confirmation on my phone that I received after paying their "activation fee" Then they doubled back and said, "oh well.. yes, your room is complimentary but the food and drink will be an additional $1,700 for your 4 night stay." We felt completely blind sided and manipulated, so we asked to speak to a manager in which a Circle supervisor came to speak to us. Unfortunately I didn't take note of her name but she was so rude and completely disregarded our situation, saying: well, I'm sorry if no one told you but that's how it works" I told her to show me anywhere in paper work where it states what they are claiming as "how it works" She asks to look at my emails and after 15 minutes she zooms in on the terms and conditions on page 9, last line, where it states that: "Please check with your Circle by Meliá Network Counselor for applicable rate." But we never had a "counselor" so this was all a big scam. To expect travelers to just fork over that kind of money, without warning is really predatory in nature. There was no kind of transparency. The lady supervisor from Circle by Melia offered no kind of attempt into trying to resolve the situation. She didn't sympathize with us being shell shocked and forced to charge that amount of money on our cc. We ended up leaving and finding a beautiful luxurious condo for rent that had breath taking views of the arch and was located on a secluded beach front for 1/4 of the price Paradisus was trying to charge us. I guess it was a blessing in disguise for us because we really enjoyed our condo rental But the moral of this story is don't fall into their sales pitch for time share and don't believe the "5 day 4 nights" complimentary stay scam they try to lure you in with as an incentive. read more

Almost all staff here were nice to us. Cleaning room service super tidy! They organized my toileties and makeup, and fixed my shoes and jackets. 10/10!! Room service food tasted better than some of the restaurants here. Swimmable ocean area is small BUT super clear! We saw small fish around the rocky area. We had a personal concierge, Roberto, which we didn't use much but he was friendly and always offered to assist us in anyway he can. Shout out to Jose Luis and Ventura at Sal restaurant. You guy were amazing. They had a live small band at night from 9pm to 11pm everyday near the gin ger bar. Now the less than great parts. There is no heated pool or jacuzzi area. Pool area closes by 6 or 7pm. There's nothing really to do here other than be by the pool and wait for the live music. Wish they had more activities here. Ping-pong table is on the verse of breaking. Restaurant service is slow, you order and you won't get food for at least 45 minutes. Ice cream place was disappointing. At the coffee shop, there was a fly inside the pastry shelves... after that I steered away. Tokimeku was alright, Cielo has a VERY small menu and the food is neithergood or bad. Sal has great food, Palapa food was decent. Club Gabi delicious food (we said FINALLY SOME FLAVOR). Breakfast buffet at Naos has good continental breakfast options, but the dinner buffet did not taste good. Almost all food here needed salt, so make sure you have a salt shaker nearby and it should be fine... The pool bar does not make good drinks. I know they advertise 4 pools but I struggle to see 4 pools here. I see the main BIG pool that has the swim up bar, the smaller reserve pool area, and maybe the swimmable beach area if you would count that? I really hope they don't count the tiny pool that is basically the 'swim up area' for other people's rooms as a pool. That area has no seating area, just grass and basically only aesthetics for the people that have that room. Here in Cabo, the don't try to get you for a timeshare presentation... its called Membership presentations. It seems like people at the airports and your hotel try to get you to hear out their presentation. You stay and hear them out can you can get some activities for free. But they wanted something from 13k to 30k for this membership with an 8% interest fee (contract for 30 years)? No thank you. The person that explained the membership perks was nice and super friendly. If we were in the market for something like this, we would totally go with the person that explained the membership. But he isnt the person that handles the contract. The person or manager who breaks down prices for the membership, had a completely different attitude. He was rude while talking to us and made it seem like we are dumb for not wanting to sign up for their membership. That we are "only thinking of short term and not long term expenses." There are other ways of talking to people if you're trying to convince them on signing up for things, this is not one of them. He only gave up once I told them I was less than impressed by the reserve room considering they are advertising a "Luxury" 5 star hotel. There was paint peeling from the wall, my water was lukewarm, one of my ceiling lights didn't work, piece of my floor was broken, and the toilet takes a long time to refill in order to flush. So if you and your partner go to the bathroom back to back, it'll be a while before you can flush again. We stayed 5 days... Day 1 and 5, shower water was lukewarm, days 2-4 (maintenance was called on day 2 for the water) we had hot water. I wonder if they shut it off on the day we were leaving on purpose... I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my best friend's wedding at Paradisus Los Cabos. This resort is located right on the beach, and loaded with all-inclusive restaurants, night shows, pool and bars. The wedding was structured as follows: Night 1 - settle in, party or rest Night 2 - Welcome Party/Speeches Night 3 - Reception Night 4 - 6: my gf and I stayed an extra 3 nights and explored town and enjoyed the resort! We spent lots of time by the pool (play their karaoke trivia if you get the chance!), sushi restaurant, Italian restaurant and Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend this resort! Carlos was our personal concierge and decorated our room for a man's birthday beautifully! Our room was a swim up unit which was ideal for our stay as we enjoyed the pool. The Sal Steak had delicious food and we went there for my guy's birthday. They sang happy birthday and had a fun fireworks like candle for him too! We loved the San Juan excursion with another Carlos who hosted our trip. He did an excellent job narrating the tour and the chocolate factory was our favorite stop, where we bought their chocolate items for gifts. Highly recommend. The lovely staff at Sante restaurant was very attentive to our needs. We ate breakfast and lunches there. And saw whales in the mornings from our table!! We also saw the baby sea turtle release our second afternoon on property. It was amazing and we tipped them and everyone. Even though they say you don't have to tip, I recommend doing it because everyone works so hard to make an exceptional stay for us. read more

Really enjoyed my stay here, it would have been 5 stars but the food selection is not great. The resort customer service was excellent!! Everywhere you went there was someone that tailored to your needs. The room was clean, they had aromatherapy of your choice. Room service took 50 minutes. We stayed in the reserve, which is all the way over on the other side. There is nothing over there except the reserve lounge. Our room had a personal swim up pool, but there are neighbors that share same pool just, boarders in between. The neighbors were nice though. The best restaurant was the Japanese restaurant, the others not good except the Gabby bar. I would love to return to Los Cabos. Maybe different resort, because of the food. We stayed at the Paradisus Los Cabos during the first week of December, and while we enjoyed parts of our experience, there were some notable drawbacks that might influence whether we'd return. What We Loved: * AC System: The fan mode that stayed on was a lifesaver for white noise sleepers like me. I didn't have to pack my travel fan. * Double Showerheads: A small luxury we've never had in a hotel--it was such a nice surprise. * Beach Cabanas: The open seating cabanas were a highlight. No reservations needed, and there was always one available. Other resorts could definitely learn from this. What We Liked: * Food: Solid 7/10 (my husband gave it a 6.8/10). The selection was limited to 1-3 restaurants depending on the time of day, but each had standout dishes. That said, we prefer the variety and quality of Palace Resorts. * Daily Room Maintenance: The staff did a great job maintaining the room , and the coffee pods, water, and sodas were regularly replenished. What We Didn't Love: * Water Temperature in the Shower: It fluctuated unpredictably to scalding. * Coffee Shop Hours: Although advertised as 24/7, it didn't open until 7 am. * Room Service Food: Unfortunately, the food fell short for us. My Cobb salad was unrecognizable (a wedge of iceberg lettuce with bacon strips, corn, and dried cranberries), and the pizza tasted pretty- frozen. * Pools: They weren't heated, which made them uncomfortable in the evenings. Also, there was no jacuzzi on the property. * Gym: Extremely small (about 500 sq. ft.) with tightly packed equipment and no additional amenities like showers, sauna or a steam room. * Lack of Entertainment: The resort was very quiet. While we appreciated the tranquility for our first couple's getaway in 14 years, some live music or entertainment would have been nice. Other Observations: * Bees on the Balcony: We couldn't enjoy the balcony or leave the slider open due to bees swarming near the patio light each morning. Covering the light with a washcloth helped, but it was still an issue. * Spa: We were disappointed with the spa experience. No one was available to show us the facilities or answer questions. Instead, we walked down the beach and got incredible $60 per person massages by the ocean--better value and ambiance. * Mini Bars: Our room had beer in the fridge but no full mini bar. This wasn't an issue for us but might be for others. * Snorkeling: Bring your own gear! The ocean was the same temperature as the pools and offered great fish-watching opportunities. * Golf: If you're golfing, pack your own golf gloves and balls to avoid expensive rentals and purchases. * Transportation: Ubers are affordable and readily available, costing about $10-14 to San Jose del Cabo each way . The Art District is beautiful, and we highly recommend Lupitas for the best tacos we've ever had. * Time Share sales: We were only asked once to attend a presentation and declined firmly. That was the end of it. Would We Return? Probably not, but not because it's a bad resort. It just didn't wow us. We prefer to explore other properties for our next vacation. My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort. We upgraded to the reserve for an ocean front view and enjoyed the service we got in the Reserve Lounge. I will say we had the worst experiences with service at the reserve restaurant and avoided eating there within our stay. We also were mixed up with another group during the first 2-3 days of our stay which was frustrating. We also were a little disappointed our ocean front room was not on the reserve side and had some view of the Gabi restaurant and trucks. Roberto was our concierge and while he is still in training and there were some flukes throughout our stay, he still was tentative to most of our needs. It was easy to book excursions on site and we used Cabo adventures. We loved the mezcal cocktail at mole and the service by our server at the Asian restaurant on our last night was outstanding. She went above and beyond. Overall service is pretty slow and If you're in a hurry I would plan on at least 90 minutes at any of the restaurants. The live entertainment each night was great but I wish they would do more at night (I.e such as at the roof of Gabi Beach). Food overall was decent and there were some meals that were excellent. Cocktails were best at the reserve pool and lounge and beach bar vs general pool they felt watered down. The beach is also swimmable. Overall, I give our experience and stay a 3.9. We've stayed at more luxurious resorts but this was a great and worth it Cabo all inclusive for a little more of an expense. read more

I can say this place was absolutely great. I struggled with giving the resort a 3, but I believe they deserve the 4 stars. Arriving here everyone was so kind. They great you at the entrance of the lobby with a towel to cleanse your hand which was extremely refreshing. Services: I loved that we were able to book reservations for the restaurant. However, so places reservations were not needed and some didn't allow us in, specifically turned around by Capri twice. One was a scheduled reservation the sending time was a mistake on the guest services. They scheduled us a reservation for a place that was no longer open and we couldn't have dinner at any other restaurant. Which was an absolute bummer. Our favorite spot was Ginger bar and the restaurant near the adult pool. Amenities: For the most part, things were ok. The main pool with swim up beach was 'okay', and this is only because this was a kids friendly space, and being mindful of children while drinking. Because I wanted more relaxation, we noticed a private adult only pool, and you had to pay for it. There was no swim up bar, however, servers from the restaurant can serve you. Small pool, but very quiet and chill. The spa was pretty cool, some of their amenities, were a bit outdated, otherwise, we enjoyed our massage as well as the fruit and tea that was offered after. Excursions: book on your first day! Inquire about the length of each one and if there are additional experiences added in. The camel ride was a pretty long day, so prepare to be out for some time. This excursion included an informational about the eco farm and the other animals. This was a nice experience, just was not prepared to spend an hour and half doing so. The Tour itself was beautiful, especially on the beach. Lunch is provided afterwards. We also did the dolphin tour, and they had a lot of rules and regulations that were simple for us, however, was not provided ahead of time. While swimming with the Dolphins, it is required that you have nothing on but swim wear. Absolutely no scrunchies or clips for your hair. Otherwise, I had a really good time. Overall experience was great! I can always wish for more, however, this trip was relaxing! The weather was great! The people were nice! And there is always something to do! There an event going on each night that you can also inquire about! I also think this is a dope place for family vacation. Plenty of things for the kiddos to do! read more

My partner and I stayed at Paradisus last week for 7 nights. This was a last minute reservation because our original plans were impacted by hurricane Sara. We really needed a getaway to relax from our lives where we had experienced some recent tragedies. This was our 4th trip to Cabo, we previously stayed in Le Blanc, Esperanza, and The Palmilla. Even though we read mixed reviews about Paradisus, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, this Melia resort needs help. We'd rate this resort 3 stars. Food was average, room was average, service was ok as long as you didn't have any problems. Prior to our stay, we requested a quiet room on a high floor, away from elevators and housekeeping stations. At check in we confirmed with Patricia, the front desk rep, that they'd received these requests. Without asking, Patricia gave us a disabled hotel room even though we aren't disabled but we accepted it thinking that it was going to be a quiet room. Boy, were we wrong. Every night during our vacation, we were woken up in the middle of the night by loud bumps and scraping noises upstairs that sounded like furniture being moved. The hotel construction seemed to be poor since you could easily hear the guests upstairs walking around and closing the bathroom, balcony, and room doors. Every morning, we heard them wake up, stomp around, slam doors, and leave their room around 6 am. Additionally, late at night, the acoustics in the hallways allowed you to hear guests' voices and the slamming of other room doors. By the morning of Wed, Nov. 20th (3 nights in), we couldn't take the lack of sleep any longer so we decided to speak in person with Susana, the Front Desk Manager. We complained to her about the loud guests upstairs and we politely asked to be moved to another room since we weren't able to sleep well. We had been informed by a few concierges that the resort was only at 40% capacity so we naturally assumed that she'd accommodate our request. However, instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and addressing our issue, Susana berated us multiple times for not informing her sooner about the loud noises above us. Additionally, instead of just moving us to another room, her only offer was to speak with the guests upstairs. My partner asked her what would be the next course of action if the upstairs guests were still loud at night after she had spoken with them. Would she move us if they weren't quiet after her conversation with them? She would not commit to saying yes; she merely frowned and said "trust me". When we asked to speak to her general manager, Susana stated that she was the manager and there was no one else above her. She asked us for our mobile number and advised that she would keep us informed. Even though we were frustrated and felt unheard, we didn't have any other option but to trust her. Ultimately, as we feared, she did NOTHING to resolve this problem and she didn't even follow up with us to see if we were still hearing noises. Guess what? The guests above us were still loud and kept us awake. We were convinced that talking to Susana again was pointless. We chose to turn on the white noise at full volume from our iPhones which was ridiculous but we decided to make the most of our trip. Unfortunately, even through the white noise, we could still hear the upstairs guests at night. Just to make our trip even more fun, during our last couple of days, Paradisus decided to start construction in the room next door to ours around 7:30 AM. Lots of banging and loud music, what a treat! Final note, this property will try to upsell you on upgrades, various timeshares and excursions. PROS -The beach was the best place for us. You can swim in the ocean. -Cabanas were free but extremely close to each other so you could easily hear nearby conversations. -Nespresso coffee in the cafe -Good service from some staff: Felix-bellman, Fidel-Cielo/Cappella, Gisela & Chef Daniel-Malva, Daniel-pool, Pablo-Agua Marina, Nidia-cafe. CONS -Noisy, noisy, noisy! -Pool was ice cold. -Carlos at the beach was only motivated by tips. We watched him only help guests with the Reserve wristband (brown) since apparently Reserve guests are more likely to tip him. Because I had a regular guest wristband (teal), he never offered to set up towels at the cabanas even though he wasn't busy. His loss, if he had helped me set up my towels, I would have tipped him. I even tried greeting him with a friendly "Good morning Carlos" but he just looked at me and said nothing. -Food quality at ALL of the restaurants was meh. Dishes were either too salty or flavorless. The menus left you guessing since they didn't display all of the ingredients in the dishes. At Tokimeku, when I thought I had ordered a vegetarian mushroom entree, it turned out it was mostly BEEF , cabbage, and one stray mushroom. Breakfast at Malva was better. read more

If I'm being honest, I'm offended by the one star ratings people have been giving Paradisus. If you found bugs in your food and have been ignored by staff continuously then you should give this resort a one star. But don't take out your anger on over priced resorts and a shortage of staff during busy seasons. You made a choice to book this resort during a busy season...so you knew what you were walking in to. Also, if you didn't, do some more research before booking! We stayed here based on Paradisus's overall 4.5 ratings compared to other all inclusive hotels in the area. What stood out to us what this hotel's access to the beach and ocean which we wanted and the beautiful views! We watched a few videos before booking and resort stayers mentioned the ocean view vs ocean front hotel room options required clarification. I forgot which one is which but if you want a room facing the ocean entirely make sure you do some research to clarify which is which, because as past reviewers have stated you might be expecting a view that isn't going to be delivered based on what you select (if that makes sense). We somehow booked during busy season but just missed the craziness, thank goodness! Our last afternoon at the resort is when a bus load of conference people came in for a week long stay. We were so happy we missed the commotion because staff looked overworked and understaffed. But again, this is pretty common at resorts especially all inclusives so do your research! We watched videos on what the best restaurants at the resort were because we are neurotic like that. We knew we wanted to try all the restaurants out regardless besides Naos because it was basically a mix of all the other restaurants and more of a kids scene. We started off with Mole (Mexican restaurant) since it was our first night in Mexico. Mole was a solid 3 for food and staff was tired and dazed. Next we went Capella, the Italian restaurant. Capella was 5 stars and the staff and views from this restaurant were beautiful. I recommend having dinner there right at sunset! Then we went to the Japanese restaurant which I forget the name of but we also had a great time here and the food was amazing. Gabi Beach for lunch was great as well because of the light food, copious amounts of seafood options, and beautiful ocean views. We loved getting room service for breakfast once we nailed down what we liked best off the menu. Don't forget to tip the staff members even if it is only $1. It makes a big difference and they work so hard. The amenities such as the gym and coffee shop are pretty good! We would wake up most mornings and hit the gym up before ordering breakfast. The showers in our hotel room were double showers which I liked for time management reasons :) All in all we couldn't complain too much. I will say I thought this resort was pretty good for overall service! I'm pregnant so I couldn't drink during my stay but my husband liked the drinks he got. He said they were fresh. I saw staff offering shots to anyone who asked for it so I'm not sure why some reviewers are complaining about their drinks being watered down! One complaint would be that you don't necessarily get everything you see noted on the website - such as free sunscreen, pillow menu, your own concierge. But, staff does everything they can to help which is more than I can say if comparing to an American all inclusive. Another tip is to book your boat tours or anything in town on your own and not through the hotel to save money. You can get much better deals that way. Also take Ubers and avoid using hotel taxis!! Finally, I would come back here if the cost per night was $200 cheaper. MAJOR Issues * Juliet lied about spa prices and clearly lied Infront of other STAFF members calling me the liar. My wife and I would never have spent $410.00 on a massage as we had no real interest in it, but Juliet said I was wrong, and she told me the price of $410.00 while my wife and I assumed the cost was only an additional $64.00 with the $100.00 hotel credit. Again, no assistance from anyone from the STAFF and I did get upset because another service provided by the hotel was again horrible for my wife and I who again only want to relax. I went to the restroom and went back to the spa and apologized to the staff that I would sort it out with management and gave the STAFF members a cash tip and apologized. * No bottle received in room after 3 requests to Julia * Entire staff in Reserve would give dirty looks every day * Staff at Reserve restaurant was always flirting with each other, I would have to interrupt to ask a question then nobody ever spoke English 05/08/2025 Contacted hotel directly via e-mail back and forth to confirm check in times, requested wheelchair, set up transportation to and from hotel. Connected AMEX travel directly to confirm everything was on schedule 05/09/2025 Friday CHECKIN Arrived at hotel and was escorted by a bell hop who told my wife and I that he is taking me to express check-in but not to use them for spa treatments and to come see him. I asked where the wheelchair was, and he claimed he had no knowledge. Was escorted to the Reserve Express check-in where a staff member took both our passports. My wife and I sat down and patiently waited, I had a medical condition with my nerves in my back that I made aware to all staff members of the pain I was in, and I was not able to control my movements that all I wanted was to get to our hotel room and lay down. Staff failed to acknowledge my requests. I did get louder and asked another staff member behind the desk if we could please get our keys to the room to lay down and we would come back he said he didn't know how and told me to go to the front desk. My wife and I sat back down for a solid 30-60-minute waiting with no communications on what was going on with check-in. I got very frustrated and raised my voice and demanded to get the keys to our room and we will come back to hear their spill. Jonathan the check-in clerk who we will get to know very well in a bad way responded aggressively back at me and my wife saying check-in was not until 3:00 PM EST. This conversation took place at 2:50 PM; so, there were 10 minutes for the room to be available is what STAFF indicated to us. When we finally sat down with Jonathan who started to check us in, he asked us to cancel the reservation with American Express and book directly with Mila hotels. I kid you not, I was floored he asked that question and I aggressively denied and demanded our room. We finally get back to our room, unpack, nap and then I go directly to Juliet our assigned so-called butler/personal concierge service provider for us and immediately introduce myself and IMMEDIATELY apologize to her and to her entire staff for my rude outburst and I really should have had to apologize at all, the check in was horrific and took over 2 hours. Two other couples in the waiting area also said they have been waiting a long time and all they wanted was there room too. Check-in was such a disaster it ruined my wife and my moods completely. We went from VERY EXCITED to escape and RELAZ we both decided to go to bed and recharge for the morning and were in bed by 8:00 PM EST. I said ABSOLUTLEY not, but we were smoking outside on the balcony. Then the very very very RUDE STAFF member stated that smoking was prohibited except for designated areas. I said, wow, I really had no idea, I apologized and said we would only smoke on the beach in the designated area and adhered to that 100%. When we meet with Julia she said if we would have not gone directly to the room when we checked in, she would have told us about the smoking policy and that it was posted throughout the hotel. I booked this resort in April 2023 for my husband's day via Costco, total $3000 all inclusive we also brought our 4 1/2 year old son.. we booked this place because they advertised on there website they had a kids club with a lot of things for kids to do... There was no kids club.... The food is not good the drinks are watered down .. the wait time at restaurants takes for ever... the service is horrible.... The resort will get boring there is nothing to do but pool and beach... only 4 restaurants and during our stay one night only one was open that we had just ate the night before.... we checked in our room to shower and the shower water leak out, the whole floor was full of water where my toddler slipped (thankfully not hurt).... The whole floor was full of water never in my life have I experienced this... They offered us a free 5 day stay but wanted us to attend a timeshare presentation for 1 hour... that was the biggest scam and so thankful I never bought into there timeshare... After attending we then redeemed our certification for free stay pre the agreement of attending the time share presentation... there was a conformation email explaining the stay was zero balance... we booked our flight for 1st of July week and when we go to check in the tell us we owe $1700 for food during our stay... We explained to the staff and they did nothing but keep saying we owe $1700 for food but room was free.. It's one thing to be transparent and be up front from the moment booking took place but they never did. $1700 for food let me tell you the food there is not even worth that price.... Where does one start with a bad review to a beautiful country??? Paradisus never accommodated any of our requests. When we arrived our "butler" was nice but pushed us to get reservations really early until we realized the good times were much later at night. Upon staying for 15 minutes in a great suite we started to smell mold and the air conditioner was not cool enough. I set it to the highest setting 70 and we went to eat since we got there at 6pm. When we came back the room was humid and not very cool. We called and a maintenance guy was sent. He had some trick to decrease to 68 but still seemed confused about it not going down. He ended up calling ahead and telling them in Spanish that everything is good, they don't know my wife understand and is fluent in Spanish. They opened a vent sprayed some perfume or "chemical" to hide the mold smell. When we started to get ready for bed, I pulled the covers and laid down..... the bed felt muggy and wet!!! Ughh this was the worst experience and we started to get congested. Called the front desk and asked to be moved as this was not acceptable. They didn't have a room but said they would see by tomorrow to move us. By the way it was the second floor room, went on different sites to see that there are multiple complaints of this room since it's so low. The "butler" did apologize and say that it's known that the room air conditioner doesn't work due to the humidity of the floor.. anyway we we're moved the next day by 1pm to a great room on the 4th floor not the highest but good enough. The hotel is ok as some of the restaurants they advertised went out of business and was not mentioned when we booked it, like the Le Petit Chef is no longer there. The only good coffee is at Nespresso shop they have even if the people there are rude. The value in going here is to enjoy the swimmable beach but for $975 a day for a grand suite is not worth it. Come here and get the cheapest room and you will enjoy the beach! The butler I give 1 star he wasn't that great and we saw him like 2 times the whole trip. He wasn't a butler just someone to complain about things not going well. For what we paid we should have had the cabana every day but only got it 2 times and we had to ask for it or we wouldn't of gotten it!! The food at La Palapa and Cielo were immaculate. Not to mention the staff through out the resort are incredibly kind and helpful. I had a decent stay at this resort. It was mostly a great experience with a few areas that could be improved upon. Pros: 1. Actual hotel room was nice and modern and there weren't any cleanliness issues present. 2. All the staff throughout the resort were very friendly and were able to help out with any questions I had. 3. The restaurants in this resort mostly had decent food. For dinner, you can choose from a Asian restaurant, Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant, and a international restaurant. My favorite restaurant here was the international restaurant. If you come to this restaurant and like lamb, I recommend ordering the lamb rack (it was delicious!). 4. There is a coffee shop, ice cream shop, lunch restaurant, and breakfast buffet on the resort. Those were all great, although the ice cream (all the flavors) for me tasted kind of strange. 5. The hotel is in a great location. It's only 30 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Cabo San Lucas, and 15 minutes from San Jose Del Cabo. Cons: 1. When I first checked into the room and entered it, I turned on the TV and noticed half of the channels were broken. It took over a day for this problem to get fixed. While they ultimately fixed this, this issue should have been caught before I even checked into the room since it was something that wasn't easy to miss. 2. There is only one restaurant you can go to for lunch. While it didn't really matter much to me, it may get kind of boring if you're staying at the resort for multiple days. 3. The service at these restaurants were hit or miss. In the international/breakfast restaurants, the service was great. However, at the Italian and Asian restaurants (and even on one visit to the lunch restaurant), it took well over an hour and a half for the food to come out (and I would receive no update on the food status). I understand that this resort may be short staffed. However, considering the price they charge to stay at this resort, I was hoping for slightly better service at some of these restaurants. Random notes (neither pros or cons) 1. Despite the food being decent in all the restaurants, nothing I ate really blew me away. The food here is a bit on the fancier side (see images below). My tastes are probably not sophisticated enough to maybe appreciate the food as much as I should of. If you're someone who can't stand even slightly fancier food, this resort probably isn't for you. However, if you don't mind eating more fancier/sophisticated food, you'll probably like the options this resort has. 2. For some really bizarre reason with dinner, you can't just walk in to any restaurant (lunch/breakfast allow walk-ins). You must set up a reservation with guest services (at the front of the hotel) or your concierge to go to any restaurant on the resort for dinner. I will not stay in this brand of resort again. Consider carefully before you make a reservation. The Paradisus Los Cabos is a nice resort with on the ground staff who are very service orientated. Once we got to the resort and were interacting with the staff there, everything was good. What was not good, in fact it was terrible, was the service we received after we made our reservations and before we arrived. We had reserved a number of rooms, had signed contact with the resort, and paid for the rooms months before our arrival. Nevertheless, 2 weeks before our arrival, the resort notified us that someone who was arriving prior to us wanted the rooms and the resort moved us to a different hotel for part of our vacation without even contacting us first. They said they would refund our money, but we would need to pay for the new rooms. They made no effort to compensate us for the change of plans or moving us without discussing it with us in advance. Only when I got an outside travel agent involved did they begin to address the situation. Ultimately, we got things worked out, but there was a lot of stress leading up to our stay. read more

Just about to leave this hotel and give an honest review of this place. First of all, the resort itself is beautiful located almost right in between San Jose and downtown Cabo/marina. The things that stood out for us included: Sabina (concierge) was very helpful answering any questions b4 and during our stay. Beatriz at the Naos restaurant was very nice/friendly when we ate breakfast the 1st morning. Xochitl our server at the Tokimeku restaurant was very nice and made us feel welcome. Adalberto at the Gabi bar was friendly and went out of his way to explain things. Diego, the manager at the Palapas & Mole restaurant was excellent during our tequila tasting session and gave us a great understanding/appreciation for tequila. (Well worth it!) Overall, the food was very good (the grilled octopus at the Gabi bar was OMG so good!// grilled fish, pork belly, etc) except for the breakfast which was just your basic relatively general buffet. For the most part, the service was good with some people being outstanding and others just OK. The nightly entertainment was very nice as well. We just stayed here for my birthday and had an amazing time! We got one of the rooms that had its own swim up pool and it was so worth it. They have great restaurants but the best by far is la palapa. Our stay was made especially wonderful by Joshua Ortega who was our server the many many times we ate there. He was friendly and outgoing, thoughtful and caring. He found out it was my birthday and set up a beautiful table for us that made me feel so special. He specifically is one of the reasons my birthday was so wonderful and he is one of the main reasons we want to come back. Joshua, Omar, and the entire team at La Palapa was so friendly and amazing we ended up eating dinner there every night. Boris was another amazing person who took great care of us and who we sincerely appreciated. He was attentive and kind and always gave us the best service. We ended up never leaving our swim-up pool because he was so great, we never wanted to go to anyone else for our drink orders!  Dafne was also amazing in helping us get information about various things during our stay. Her charisma, kindness, and beautiful personality made us just fall in love with her. The grounds and the hotel itself were beautiful but what truly made our experience the best was each and every person we interacted with.  The only thing to make sure you are clear on is the policy for the spa. They have a 6 hour in advance cancellation policy, so if you end up changing your mind after that time or not being able to go, you will still be charged a portion of your services. By far, very disappointed by this resort! There's so many things that went wrong. I would give it no stars if I could. Once we arrived we got a room that was NOT ocean view. We paid ocean view thru expedia.(expedia or not, I don't think you'll get ocean view from reading other reviews).Instead, we got golf view. Went back to the front desk and complained.Then they gave us another room, supposedly ocean view, and we got garden view with pool.(see photo) On top we had to pay additional 95 dollars a day for the 5 days because it came with amenities but was not impressed. All we wanted was ocean view! While waiting for our room to be ready, the employee I believe roberto kept talking us into doing a timeshare and was very insisting and we said no, we are not interested. He kept pushing and pushing. He asked us if we had wassup, I said yes, HUGE mistake! Everyday I got messages on discount packages if we did the timeshare. It was constant. Was so frustrating! 3 and a half hours dealing with the room and timeshare sales. We just wanted to start our vacation! I told him I was ready to drink by the pool. He seem to not respect that because later I saw him approached my husband at the pool and I was not happy! This was NOT a relaxing place. And that's all we wanted. If you go to the beach and use the cabanas, you get bothered by the vendors constantly asking you if you want to buy anything.(see photo) That was also frustrating. That beach is not safe.No matter how much I tried to stay in the shallow, I happened to fall in a hole or drop and I couldn't feel the sand any longer. I immediately started to swim just enough to get out of that situation. Luckily, I can swim just enough.No signs that alerts you about that. I didn't go back in after that scary moment. Not a calm beach, but very deceiving. All around, it didn't feel like a real vacation where we could unwind and just not be bothered. Plus all the money we paid (3k) was not worth it. Food was not up to par. People would return food even my husband did. Most food didn't have flavor, which was disappointing. I can say the employees were very nice.But that's it. You will not get an ocean view no matter if you pay more. Pool was a party every day. A couple brought their own music and had it loud next to us.They don't have menu at the pool where you could order food thru a waitress and they bring it to you if you're hungry. Instead, you have to leave the pool, go to a restaurant and eat there, you can't take it to the pool. Also, what stood out was we saw a couple that brought their two kids.(under 10 yrs old). It's not an adult only resort like it said online. Also, bring sunscreen cause we had to pay 50.00 U.S. dollars. If you want to be relaxed, quite, be unbothered, don't come here. We never had an issue with ocean view in other vacations we have taken. I feel like they didn't exceeded our expectations. I do feel we deserve portion of our money back. This review for Paradisus Los Cabos resort focuses on a few specific topics - transportation, baby sea turtles, massages/spa, snorkeling and sportfishing. Overview: During early November 2022, we stayed at Paradisus All inclusive for 10 days, with an upgrade of Reserve Ocean View (aka Royal Service). If you have been reading other reviews, you should know by now that you are not really paying for your "personal" butler/personal concierge. Instead, the resort throws this person to you so that he/she can do marketing, such as selling you the "time-share like" presentation that will cost you 5 figures. They will try to make a good impression, be friendly, just so they can land their sales pitch smoothly. Nothing wrong with that, but it's better to know what you will be getting into in advance. When you make a reservation (dinner or spa), make sure someone sends you an e-mail confirmation. They typically start taking reservations for next week on Saturday and you can only make a week at a time. Again, tell them to send you an e-mail confirmation. Staff are friendly here but some of them will only go half way and mess things up, so don't be surprised. One thing about the reserve...you actually get to access a nice bar with top bartenders such as Francisco and Hector....this does make a difference. Other than that, keep your valuables in the room safe...yes, the cleaning crew might go through your luggage even if it's closed and zipped, so lock it if you have to. It happened to me on the first day but fortunately I didn't have anything worthy to be taken. Transportation - From Airport, we booked Expedia's Gray Line. It cost around $64USD for two people, round trip. Once you arrive at Paradisus, they will tell you that you have 24 hours to schedule your return trip. This is a false statement, they tell you that so they can sell you more stuff. Just talk to the front desk concierge to schedule/confirm your ride back a day or two before your departure. Other than that, go with Uber for the rest of the trip. Uber is completely legal here. We took more than 14 Uber rides, and they all arrived within 2-5 minutes. They will pull up at the front of the hotel circle, so no, you don't have to walk to the street. It literally takes less than 10 seconds to walk to an Uber from the front door. By the way, you don't want to Uber from/to Airport...that will be a pain. Everywhere else will be fine but that. Baby sea turtles - This report offers an event called sea turtle release at no additional cost...but just keep in mind, this is inhumane. I personally observed this from the beginning to the end. They have turtle eggs caged so that baby turtles won't run away once they are hatched, and yes that also protects them from the predator. But I was there 6am...when those baby turtles were already out and tried to get back to the ocean but couldn't. I stayed there for more than 2 hours...but no one attended to them. As you can imagine, they were hungry and suffering. They already missed their prime time to get back to the ocean. Now...after 8-9am, someone collected those baby turtles and put them into a box, covered them up, and took them back to the resort. They will then "release" those turtles after 5pm. Again, I was there, and out of 30+ turtles, only 4 made it back to the ocean. At least half of them were dead. The staff collected the rest and put them back into the box and took them away, told us "we will release them again later".... I think half of them ended up in the trash can. Again, very inhumane in my opinion. Spa/Massage - In Paradisus, there is YHI spa that will cost you from $160 for a 50 minute massage per person. If you don't care about privacy, your alternative is to take a 10 minute ride with Uber for around $10 USD (one way) to Massages At The Sand Bar on Medano Beach. It's only $49 for a 90 minutes massage. Price is transparent, and they do take credit cards as well. Snorkeling - There is one place on the Paradisus beach with red flag (rest are black flags, which means you can't swim) where you can do some swimming and snorkeling. There is some debate on whether this is a true swimmable beach...well, ask yourself, are you a strong swimmer IN THE OCEAN (not pool)? If you have never done ocean swimming before, don't do it here. If you have to ask "what defines a strong swimmer"...don't do it as well. There isn't much fishes here to worth your risk. What you need to do, is to take a 5 minute Uber to Chileno Bay and bring some hotel snacks in your mini bar (peanuts etc). Bring your own snorkeling equipment (snorkeling goggles, life vests, fins are optional). Go there before 8am if possible, so you can avoid all the snorkeling tour ships. If you can do all that, you won't need to spend $100/person to join a snorkeling tour, which will waste your entire day. I am surprised more people aren't leaving reviews regarding the food. It was such a gilded gold vibe. The food appears like it will taste delicious but almost everything had the most forgettable flavor profile. I kept thinking, "surely not this time" when we tried something else and each time it was boring flavors. There were barely any passable items. It was beneath basic. Many arrangements were organized beautifully but yielded the same experience of mediocrity. The sheets literally felt greasy like they hadn't been washed. They smelled. When we asked for a sheet change, they came by the next day instead of "soon" as we were told. Changing sheets resolved the issue though. Our refrigerator was also malfunctioning to add an extra aspect to flaws within the room. Oh and we ordered room service that never arrived. The coffee machine had nasty sticky residue which we asked to replace but that was never done. That Staff was nice. And there really were so many beautiful views but I can't get past the "fake nice" vibes. The food was edible for survival but unenjoyable in a comical way. Like I couldn't believe how boring it was. PLEASE READ ...I'm not really sure where to begin. When I originally booked the resort I opted for the junior suite. I discovered that because I did not upgrade to the "Reserve" that we would not have access to certain areas of the Resort including the swim up bar. To me, the swim up bar and the Adult Only area was what I wanted. In addition there were restaurants that we would also not be able to eat at. So I paid the extra money and upgraded. I'm not really sure it was worth it though. By the way. I was surprised to see that this multi million dollar resort only has five restaurants? The resort advertises 4 pools. This is totally misleading as one of the four are a private swimming area attached to the rooms and then a tiny one next to the adult only pool. We never did find the fourth one unless you consider the hydro spa pool a fourth one. The cabanas- you have to reserve these 24 hours in advance and most of the time people don't show up. The beach chairs, people will come down at 6 am throw their stuff on the chairs but you won't see them until 1pm in the afternoon. See picture below . When we arrived to the resort they took us to this special guest service area for the upgraded Reserve guests. Once we were checked in, I was told by mistake I needed to pay a balance of $3,000 plus dollars. What???? I bought the trip through Southwest Vacations and it was paid for in full way before I arrived. Once that was straightened out, we got our bracelets on and headed to our rooms. The room we got was really nice. No complaints as we got a room off the main level with a swimming area outside off the deck. I was told this was an upgrade from the reserve we paid for which kind of scares me that the extra money we paid for would have probably gotten us a view of a brick wall. The swim up bar which is an amenity you pay for as a Reserve guest still allows kids at the swim up bar. We were told that the adult pool was this private great thing and it ended up being this tiny swimming hole while the awesome pool area where the swim bar is has kids swimming all around it. See my photo. We were assigned a concierge which was really of no help. All reservations for the restaurants were late (9:00 at night). We would walk up to the restaurant earlier and typically they accommodated us at an earlier time than our reservation. Our concierge didn't really explain anything to us. We had no clue about any of the entertainment going on until after it was over. We had to figure things out on our own and by the time we did it was too late. Taxi vs Uber if you want to go down to to Cabo or San Jose take an Uber! It's half the cost. An Uber was $10 to $12 vs a taxi being $35.00. The taxi was a recommendation from our concierge. So there you go. Ubers cannot go the airport though so get a shuttle service. The excursions in the hotel are too expensive. Go see Amanda at Cabo Blue. It's 65.00 a person. They are awesome! They feed you, drinks, snorkeling, etc. The Reserve upgrade was also supposed to include an aromatherapy every night when they turn down your bed. This was not explained to me when I checked in. Some of the housekeeping staff had no clue and I got this service one night out of 6. I asked for food delivered at the pool. One waiter said no another said yes. Lol You have to reserve the cabana 24 hours in advance. Half the cabanas weren't even being utilized but they still wouldn't let you have them. So they stayed unoccupied all day. Most of the staff was helpful, friendly, and very accommodating with the exception of guest services and the front desk. I don't like the fact that you have to tip everywhere and everybody. You can easily go through several hundred dollars. I think the resort should take care of this. It's a beautiful resort and view of the beach is nice but I think it's overpriced. The food is ok but not the greatest. The wine is blah. I have had way better wine. I would choose a different resort with more restaurant options. We still had a good time an learned what to do differently next time. We hope you will learn from this as well read more

BRIDES- read before you consider booking your wedding at Paradisus. After many months of extensive wedding destination research in Cabo, my fiancé and I decided to host our wedding at Paradisus Los Cabos. We visited the hotel a year before our wedding, and received amazing service from Ariadna, (Romance & Leisure Groups Manager) and Apolo (Group Sales Manager), and staff. We were blown away by the attention to detail, from the personal tour of the hotel to the delicious food tasting, to the meetings with potential vendors, our stay was phenomenal. However, once we started making payments to Paradisus for the wedding, we no longer received the same quality of service and communication from the wedding team as we did during our visit. To make everything as easy as possible for Paradisus, I created a 14 page "inspiration PowerPoint" in English/Spanish, that outlined every detail of our wedding. Unfortunately, even with the detailed presentation, the following were red flags that arose throughout the planning process: -Apolo (our wedding planner) took over a week to respond to any of my emails regarding important decisions such as flowers, decorations, and lighting. -The Paradisus accounting team sent us several invoices with incorrect amounts and the links to make payments often did not work. If we didn't pay close attention, we would have paid hundreds more than we were supposed to. -Paradisus changed our wedding planner last minute. We were notified 2 months before our wedding that Apolo would no longer be handling our wedding, even though he had been working with us since day 1. Our new wedding planner, Beatriz, had only been working at Paradisus a little over a month with no prior wedding planning experience. -Our new wedding planner, Beatriz, did not follow up regarding important action items. I emailed her numerous times about a DJ, lighting, flowers, rental equipment, print materials, dinner reservations, spa reservations and she was unresponsive. At this point, we were a month out from our wedding, and I was EXTREMELY nervous that our wedding was going to be a disaster. Therefore, we decided to hire an outside wedding consultant, hoping he could pick up the pieces that Paradisus fell short on. -When we arrived at the resort for our wedding, as the bride and groom, we expected to receive a warm welcome, however, the front desk couldn't find our reservation. -When we finally were able to get into our room, houskeeping didn't inspect the room, because there was a bra on the bench in the closet. -Paradisus YHI Spa and Salon made mistakes with my hair, nails, and makeup. I received a gel manicure the day before our wedding, and unfortunately that same night, my nails started cracking. On my wedding day, I had to spend the morning redoing my nails. In addition, YHI did not have the hair and makeup inspiration I prepared and detailed in the presentation. I had to brief the makeup/hair stylist on exactly what I wanted the day of our wedding. -The flowers for my bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, table bouquets, and our ceremony arch were all the wrong color. All the flowers needed to be redone at the last minute before the wedding, which delayed the ceremony. In addition, they did not have boutonnières for the groom or any of the groomsmen. These had to be made on-site an hour before the ceremony started. -Paradisus did not deliver food for the groom and groomsmen to their suite while they were getting ready for the wedding. The order was scheduled 3 days before the wedding, however the food did not arrive, so the groom had to quickly eat at one of the restaurants by himself while the rest of the groomsmen finished getting ready. -We were required to use the DJ Paradisus selected unless we wanted to pay a $600 outside vendor fee. We paid for a DJ with a proper DJ booth, which was represented in the quote. Instead, the DJ arrived with a red MacBook on a small stand, not even close to what was represented. Even worse, he announced our names incorrectly and all of our bridal party in the wrong order. -Since our return home from the wedding, we have spent the last month contacting Melia Corporate and customer service. Unfortunately, Paradisus did not take responsibility for any of the issues mentioned above and have not provided any sort of compensation for ruining what was supposed to be my dream wedding. All in all, we had such high hopes for a beautiful wedding at Paradisus. Instead, we experienced stress, frustration, and lack of organization from the entire resort. Although the Instagram posts look amazing, and Paradisus seems great from the outside, I would NOT recommend booking your wedding at the resort. read more

We stayed here for a family vacation with the Reserve members upgrade & all-inclusive for 4 days (3 nights). We booked through Costco. Starting January 2024, this resort has converted to adults only. Pros: 1) Reserve members get an exclusive lounge. The lounge is small, but the drinks at the Reserve bar were definitely better compared to the regular bars in the resort. 2) The service - I felt well taken care of by our personal concierge. She checked in on us and answered all our questions (very timely) on WhatsApp. She helped us make reservations to restaurants throughout our stay. I recommend making the reservations on your day of arrival because the good times can get booked up quick. 3) You can book excursion activities within the resort. Although pricier compared to booking online or vendors, it guarantees authenticity and legitimacy so you do not have to worry about scams. 4) Variety of food - restaurant food can be a hit or a miss, but we really enjoyed: Gabi Beach House (shrimp tacos) and SAL Steakhouse (the fluffy bread and chocolate soufflé). We did not have time to try, but our cousins loved the Italian restaurant - Capella. 5) Beautiful views 6) Location - About 30 minutes away from the airport, 15 minutes away from the Art Walk, and 20 minutes away from the Marina. We were able to book an Uber to the Art Walk and Marina (price was reasonable) 7) Safety - I felt safe in the resort. Cons: 1) We came on a busy weekend, so lots of the resort activities were fully booked and we did not get to experience them. 2) Activities/Amenities - There was only one ping pong table and one net for volleyball in the pool. The main pool was quite chilly in January. They didn't have heated pools. The Reserve pool was much warmer. 3) Ice cream was not that good. Overall, I would recommend if you are going on an adults only vacation for a short getaway vacation. read more

Visited this inclusive hotel in September during covid restrictions. They were in "orange" stoplight restriction zone when we visited. Three of their restaurants were closed, but we had two restaurants available for breakfast, lunch and dinner each night. The food was so delicious at the reserve restaurant, the Italian restaurant and Molé! The swim up room was definitely worth it! Good service throughout our stay. We will wait to return until they are fully open, with all restaurants open again! read more

Very beautiful, top quality all inclusive resort in Cabo! The property is amazingly well kept and super clean. It is bright and airy and open. From the rooms to the pool area to the restaurants and every place in between staff are diligently working to make sure everything is in order and up to high standards. I had no issues at check in or check out. Actually both went very smoothly. The pool is large, well kept, and has a bar with stools in it if you so desire to sit there and have a few. Staff were always available to bring you a drink or food. Lounge chairs and covered lounge areas were always available. We didn't have to go out at 5am to reserve a chair which was nice. Pool towels are easily accessible at various stations around the pool area. Restaurants are very good. There is a steakhouse, mexican, japanese/hibachi, and buffet. We enjoyed them all but my least favorite was the japanese/hibachi. One of the reasons for my 4 star rating instead of 5 was because I do think they could turn it up a notch with the food. That's not to say it is bad, just not totally on par with the rest of the resort. Be sure to make reservations for the restaurants upon your arrival as they do get booked quickly. Entertainment at night was very nice as well. I particularly enjoyed the laser harp which I had never seen before. Although this is a smaller resort compared to some others in the area, I actually appreciated that as staff got to know us and made sure we didn't want for anything.
