Our first to this local wine and whiskey bar. We had read about their "crazy" hour and "happy hour". The crazy hour was excellent. The drink and food specials were not to be missed. Our fantastic bar server was Abby. She joked about trying everything on the menu... and we almost did. Short of maybe one or two items, we did enjoy all the food. The drink pours really weee generous and the selection of crazy hour wines knocked it out of the park. Ambiance- well lots of outdoor space and garage door walls made it well lit and enjoyable. It's easy to slide from crazy hour to happy hour because of the food, drink and service.

Grabbed dinner with a couple friends at Parallel last night. My friend selected this restaurant after hearing all great things. We were slightly nervous because no reservations were available online. However, upon check in we were seated immediately. Parallel offers seating at tables or the bar with a low light upscale vibe. The menu was quite impressive with a wide variety of options available. We tried a few of the appetizers and desserts which we found to be delicious. Our meals were decent portions with stunning presentations. I will say service was on the slower side, and that our waiter did have to be reminded about a couple requests. All and all a great spot for a night out with friends!

Went during their brunch time (I think 10am-3pm on weekends). Place has a rustic, casual vibe, with such a large alcohol selection from their bar. Their serving portions are pretty large! The avocado toast was fancy-schmancy, with not only the avocado, but topped with arugula, chili oil, and paprika egg, with potatoes on the side! I would say that the toast did get a bit soggy under all the toppings, but otherwise, quite filling. For the grilled cheese and tomato bisque I loved the focaccia bread and the tomato bisque was YUMMY and creamy, although I can't say that I loved the cheese very much. Might be a bit picky because brunch foods aren't usually my thing BUT would definitely come back to try their dinner menu items.

Located at corner-unit within a typical shopping plaza; parking is ample and the ambiance is upbeat. Outdoor seating / music is great here in the warmer seasons. We ordered the Stuffed Portabella Mushroom Cap, Allen Brothers Farm NY Strip Steak*, mushroom flatbread and the spicy chicken burger. Going to be completely honest here - all the menu items had an average taste. While the flatbread merited itself a 7/10, everything else a solid 4.5 - 5/10. Not necessarily grotesque or inedible, yet not quite tasty enough for you to associate great taste with this spot. Service is very friendly though, and proactive. If looking for a fun spot to reserve for an event, or to just socialize and grab a few drinks, this place is a 5/5. If you're a foodie like me, and want some good found, it's a 3/5.

This is such a great spot for a casual get together, happy hour, or a date night. I believe they have two different entrances, once for where the whiskey tasting/room is and other for wine/dining (I could be wrong...). Vikki was our server, she was super attentive and kept coming by to see if we were ready to order or needed anything else. We ordered a couple drinks and some food to share. They were reasonably priced and tasted great. We asked for burger to be cut in half, and they did...even split the fries, which was perfect! When ordering the wine, I asked Vikki for a recommendation based on my favorite reds and she brought me a sample. Once I finally looked at the wine list, I asked for a sample of the Cigar wine and she brought that as well. Drinks ordered: -Avia Pinot Grigio ($6) -Cigar Bourbon Barrel Cabernet ($10) -Dealer's choice mocktail drink ($8). Food ordered: -Double Parallel Smash Burger (no bacon jam, w/duck fat fries) ($18) -Burrata Bruschetta & Red Pepper Hummus ($14) I would definitely return and want to try the other side. I do think this place is worthy of 5 stars, but knocked off one because the live music was just too loud for such a small space. Also, while the minimal lighting set the mood, it was a bit too dark.

I absolutely love this place. The food is phenomenal. I haven't ordered a single meal that wasn't delicious !! Great prices as well. Their outdoor seating area is beautiful when the weather cooperates. The inside seating is just as lovely though. They have a rose sangria and it is to die for!! The service has also been fantastic the last few times I've been.

If you are in the area and don't stop here you're REALLY missing out. Thick cut bacon, wagyu sliders, and the banh mi is INSANE. So good that I had to order the butter chicken to go because I KNOW it's gonna slap. Seriously. Not kidding. This place is incredible. I don't want to leave but I have a flight to catch. And that thought brings me to tears. By the way, all I got was a picture of the bacon and deviled eggs because that's before I knew my taste buds would be blown to smithereens.

Came here for a private party. Got to sample a lot of their food, which overall I thought was excellent. Sliders, deviled eggs, flatbread. Chicks and waffles, charcuterie, and a wonderful slab of fried pork. Beverages were also quite good nice draft beer. And a white sangria that was tasty.

Pear and prosciutto flatbread and peach rose sangria

Fantastic place and service, food is delicious and a variety of options are impressive. The prices are very nice for the quality and quantity of food - we'll definitely be coming back to try everything on the menu.

First time at Parallel and we entered on one side, but they seated us in the other building across the walk way which seemed to be quieter. Maybe it was because we had a bigger party. The drinks and food were outstanding. We ordered a bunch of things to try and share and everything was tasty. The steaks were cooked exactly the way we wanted. All of the dishes were great to accompany wine or a drink. We definitely want to come back and check out the brunch menu.

Good music, service, food and drink. Nice place to go. One of our week end favorites especially when they have the right musicians lined up.

The lights were dimmed, which gave the restaurant a cozy vibe I almost fell asleep lol. Since the restaurant is still fairly new, it wasn't too crowded, which made the experience even better. One thing I really liked was that the menu is chef-curated, so the dishes are served as-is and thoughtfully put together. You can really tell there's intention behind the flavors and presentation. For drinks, we ordered a smoked Old Fashioned and a chocolate martini for me, which was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we tried the Wagyu sliders, and they were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. For our entrées, my boyfriend ordered the lamb shank over mashed potatoes. The meat literally fell off the bone, and the mashed potatoes soaked up all the lamb juices, giving them so much flavor. I ordered the salmon with broccolini and added chimichurri and garlic butter sauce on top. I loved that they asked how I wanted my salmon cooked. I ordered mine medium well, and it came out perfect. The skin was crispy, theand the broccolini was soft and cooked just right. Our waiter was fun, attentive, and really helpful when it came to choosing drinks and entrées. Overall, we had a good experience.

Steak and the eggs were perfect. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Really like the atmosphere. Maybe a while to return as I live in CA, but I definitely will be back with hopes to upgrade to 5 stars.

My mom is extraordinarily sensitive to anything remotely "spicy"--even black pepper can be a problem, and sometimes arugula! Our server David listened carefully to her concerns and made sure the chef knew exactly what she needed. The kitchen modified her dish accordingly, and she was able to enjoy a delicious meal without worrying about what might be in it. But the food was only part of what made the evening so enjoyable. David and Ceara were both fantastic--warm, attentive, and incredibly personable. They really listened to Mom and made an effort to engage with her. Mom eventually started telling jokes, including a few that were definitely on the bawdy side. David and Ceara were wonderful sports and laughed right along with her. They made her feel welcome rather than simply accommodated, and that distinction meant a lot to all of us. Clarity gave us delicious food and excellent service, but more importantly, they helped make my mother feel celebrated on her 91st birthday. A memorable evening and a restaurant I'm very happy to recommend.

We've been dining at Clarity in Vienna for years, and it was particularly a favorite for intimate,…read morespecial-occasion meals. Chef Jon Krinn's menus and his warm, personal touch with diners made the place special. After he left, Chef Tracy O'Grady admirably revived it with creative new menu concepts, and under Chef Danny Ahn the brand has now expanded to a Reston location. Through it all, bartender Victor has been a steady, caring presence -- even as service slowed and courses started taking a long time to arrive. After one visit where we waited 50 minutes for dessert, we stayed away for a while. We decided to come back to celebrate our anniversary. The new manager, Jeff Miller, and the rest of the staff greeted us warmly, but the dining room was nearly empty, and the air conditioning was set to meat-locker levels. Victor had the day off. Clarity is known for a daily-changing tasting menu, and we were looking forward to that night's advertised special -- giant tiger prawns, lobster and black truffle risotto, and venison. Instead, we were handed a menu with octopus, cod loin, and duck -- solid dishes, but standard fare you'll find at plenty of restaurants in the area, not the standout the website promised. We ordered from the regular menu instead. For appetizers, we each got the grilled Wellfleet and Old Salt oyster platter. For entrées, my spouse ordered the yellowfin tuna with tiger shrimp; I asked if I could get the Maryland soft-shell crabs as an entrée with two crabs instead of one. The waiter said no and suggested I add a sweet corn bisque to round out the meal. When he mentioned to the manager that we were unhappy, Jeff offered to plate two crab appetizers together for double the appetizer price. I happily agreed. The manager explained that website updates were no longer handled in-house, that the tasting menu posted online hadn't actually been available for months, that other guests had complained about the same thing, and that the takeout/pickup menu was also wrong -- to the point that he' had just contacted customers to tell them their online orders couldn't be fulfilled. Service was slow, and the waiter never told us which oysters were Wellfleet and which were Old Salt. To kitchen's credit, the portions were generous, properly cooked, and genuinely tasty. The dessert menu seemed uninspired, so I asked about a double shot of Angel's Envy rye instead. It had always been reasonably priced when Victor poured it -- generously, too. This time, I overheard the manager quote the waiter $56. A 750ml bottle (25 oz) currently retails at Virginia ABC for about $75, or $3/oz -- so $56 for a double shot works out to about $18.67 per ounce. I said that wasn't acceptable. At that point, the manager repeated, for the fourth time, that he was still on the phone trying to get the website fixed. I told him his reiterated efforts might help future diners, but it didn't help us that evening. He said Victor had trained him and that he was charging what Victor would charge -- I told him I didn't believe that, since Victor had always been fair and accommodating. I also said that as the manager overseeing service, he should be checking the website' daily for accuracy himself. He then offered to pay for my "cocktail" out of his own pocket. Before I could point out that a shot of whiskey isn't a cocktail, my spouse asked him to just leave us alone. We paid and left feeling genuinely sad to see a restaurant we loved fall this far.
