The famous Parc. There were definitely elements that blew me away, but some that left me wanting more. To start, I had the French onion soup, which has to be the best French onion soup I've ever had. The cocktails were pretty good, I would say not very strong. For my entrée I got the steak and frites and I do think it was lacking. While the steak was cooked how I asked, there was really no flavor or robust seasoning. For dessert we got the crème brûlée. It was decorated very nicely for a birthday celebration. But the crème brûlée itself was cold and not very appetizing. Our bill was pretty hefty and I think it was a bit overpriced for the quality of food that we received. If wanting to try Parc, I would recommend having something from the lunch menu during lunch hours. You'll still get the same experience, but don't really have to pay the price. read more

Good ambiance but I wasn't in love with the food. I went for lunch and it was still rather crowded despite being in the middle of the day. I sat and the bar and it was a small fit. The bartender was nice a personable. The overall ambiance more a lot busier than I anticipated and I did not love that. I ordered the warm shrimp salad that everyone seems to love, hot apple cider and a side of fries. The shrimp was well cooked, not overly so and the beurre blanc sauce was well made. I just didn't feel that it was anything extremely special especially considering the cost The fries were good, thinly sliced type that I liked but not as good as other fries that I have had and I wished it was more crispy and fluffy. Park is always a reliable, consistent, great place. You always know what you're getting although it is on the more expensive side. We went on a Saturday after my half marathon. The waitress that we had was really nice. And very attentive despite it being very busy. I feel like their service is always really good despite how crowded it is. Food wise also they did a great job. We split the French onion soup and it came already split into two different bowls without us asking, which was awesome. I got a quiche which was delicious and my boyfriend absolutely loved his club chicken sandwich. I got a Bellini, which I think was a little bit heavy on the juice. I would've liked to see a more champagne as it was very sugary and heavy with the excess grapefruit juice. But overall a great experience and always enjoy this place ambience is always busy and never disappoints. read more

This was one of the best dining experiences I have had lately. Not only was my meal delicious, but the service was excellent. I mentioned that I had a gluten allergy and my server reassured me that my order would be marked as such and handled with caution to avoid cross contamination. All of the staff was so attentive and friendly and it was just a really good treat to wonder in off the street and find this place. ....a short update on Parc. I've been there several times since my last review and somehow missed the Mushroom Tart. What an oversight! You must experience this 'appetizer', as it seemed like it could have been the main course! The flaky, buttery pastry crust was layered with mushrooms, scallions and grated Truffle Pecorino cheese. It was incredibly flavorful! We had the Beef Bourguignon for our main dish. It was a plate with chunks of short rib, covered in this deep brown gravy, that decadently melts in your mouth. It's accompanied with a Pommes Purée, that guarantees to be the smoothest, creamiest mashed potatoes you've ever had! Of course, we got the Profiteroles to complete our meal, which I believe, is their best dessert. read more

Getting a table for a large party on a Saturday isn't an easy task and we were appreciative that the restaurant was able to accommodate us . The place was busy and almost full late in the evening when we got there. The space is similar to most french bistros ie. Pastis in the meatpacking ( nyc ) or Balthazar's in soho ( nyc ). Though the space is similar , the main difference is the food quality . We shared the french onion soup ( not ideal for sharing ), crab and avocado ( flavorful but could use more avocado slices ), tomato salad ( crowd favorite ) , tuna carpaccio ( needed some salt and a tad bit more olive oil ) and the delicious bread basket with butter for appetizer. The main entrees were burger, sea bass ( flavorful but overcooked ), moules frites ( good ) and the biggest disappointment was the steak au pouivre ( preferred temperature was medium but I get the sense it was either sitting there for some time or it was sous vide as it wasn't warm and juicy when served , the crust was heavy with pepper , maybe better if it was warm ). Shame as french bistros are normally known for their steak and fries ( and of course escargot which we didn't order ). On the other hand , the whole table agreed that the best part was the service ( I wish we got his name ), he was on point , attentive to our needs / requests while maintaining a professional, kind gesture ( great customer service ). Overall , we had a good time as it's all about the company in a nice setting / ambiance with good service. Minor tweaks like making sure the food is warm when served can make a huge difference and allow the restaurant to thrive in Philly especially in a beautiful neighborhood like Rittenhouse Square . read more

We had the following: 0) Bread - Parc provided sour dough, multigrain raisin, and white bread roll. Sour dough was excellent and probably best that we had in a while. Multigrain raisin bread was also very good. 1) Onion Soup Gratinee - This was unfortunately the biggest disappointment. The soup had good flavor but it was salty.... 2) Grilled Chicken Sandwich - Parc did a good job with the sandwich and fries were good. 3) Beet Salad - Parc did a good job with this salad. The included beets were good and good blend of dressing for the leafy part of the salad. 4) Beef Bourguignon - The dish was excellent. Sauce was excellent with good flavor and beef was tender but a little dry 5) Steak Frites - The Ribeye was cooked perfectly per our request with great flavor but a bit salty. The fries was also good. Sunday morning we celebrated my wife's 90th birthday with my daughters at your restaurant. Many years ago, I've had breakfast at your restaurant every single Monday and it was outstanding. Having knowledge that we were coming to your place, I was anxious to try your breakfast again. I must say, that I was extremely disappointed in the breakfast food- especially the sausage that used to be juicy and delicious. This week, it was small in diameter and had no flavor at all. Not like the old days. Visiting Philadelphia for the July 4th weekend and I had Parc on my list of restaurants to check out. This place did not disappoint! My friend and I got here for an early dinner reservation and sat outside because I had my dog with us. Our server was great - friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks first while reviewing their food menu. I got their Romarin and my friend got their Whiskey Noir. My drink was so refreshing on this hot July evening! We shared the Escargots app and both loved the hazelnut broth it came in. We were also provided a basket of 3 different types of complimentary bread which was great. For my main dish, I chose the Mediterranean Sea Bass and my friend got their Duck and Plums. The tapenade on my fish added great flavor and I loved the crispy skin on top. Had a bite of my friend's duck too which was quite delicious. We decided to also share a dessert and got their Profiteroles. Loved the cold custard and the lightly drizzled chocolate was a nice touch. I also ended up trying their Crème Brûlée dessert cocktail which was interesting but quite good. Overall, a great dining experience at Parc. The restaurant is huge with classic dining decor. A lot of inside seating along with a lot of outdoor seating as well. My annual trip to Philly brings me to Parc this year as this was recommended by one of my colleagues. This just happened to be right around the corner from where my hotel is (and also happened that Kamala Harris decided to stay in the same hotel, making getting in and out a pain in the @$$). Reservations were already booked up, but luckily they allowed walk ins, where you put yourself on a waiting list. The wait only took about 10-30 minutes depending if you had a preference on sitting inside or outside. Overall fantastic service throughout, including the hostess. When you're first seated, they bring out a bread basket, which had three different bread. One of the three is the Bread du Jour. We happened to get Currant Oatmeal Swirl and it is crack. We requested another bread basket with only the Currant Oatmeal Swirl. It's that good. For appetizer, we split an order of the Salmon Tartare ($18), which was fantastic. I may have squeezed too much lemon juice so that was on me. Fair warning. It's served with a few veggies slices (a variety if I may add) for you to scoop and pop. For entrees, I got the Steak Frites ($38) while the fiancé got the Moules Frites ($25) or simply mussels. We substituted the fries for mash potatoes and spinach. Everything was delicious. Take some of that bread from the bread basket and dip it in the mussels garlic creamy sauce for some enhanced taste. read more

I went to Parc for brunch with some friends and I'm glad I finally got to try it! I got a burger and opted to add an egg, and it was perfect. The French fries are some of the best in the city! I also tried my friend's steak and it was delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked. This is a must try in Philly and I can't wait to be back! read more

Nice restaurant in Rittenhouse with a Parisian vibe. I came here with a large party and the service was excellent. I ordered an espresso martini, which was amazing. I shared the shrimp salad and lamb with my husband. We enjoyed both dishes a lot. We have had a shrimp salad before and it did not disappoint. I will probably order this salad every time I come here. The lamb was very good too. It has great flavor and the meat was tender. We tried a bite of our friend's Steak au Poivre. I would order that as an entree next time I dined here. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and the creamy pepper sauce was delicious. We shared dessert amongst the table. We ordered the pot de creme. My experience is that with reservations you usually get better seating but maybe that's just me! We got to sit right by the window looking out into the city. You can also sit outside right along the sidewalk! I did see some larger groups waiting outside as this place sits right on the edge of Rittenhouse Square. Food was delivered promptly with no issues. Service was great, and our server was wonderfully attentive. Since our table was quite small, plates had to be squeezed in a but but they cleared our tables in a timely manner so this wasn't too much of an issue. Food itself was delicious! My friend had the steak and frites cooked medium to perfection! And yes, it's the thin fries in case you were wondering, very delicious. I had some vegetable pasta.... Cannot remember the name. Definitely cheesy, buttery and well seasoned veggies to top it. I do have to say the French onion was definitely the star of the show - Thick, stretchy, gooey cheese and a warm toasted bread soaking up that delicious soup right in the middle of it all. Highly recommend and hopeful to bring my husband next! It's in a very touristy location so I do recommend reservations in advance, as I cannot imagine the wait for weekends! read more

So happy to have revisited after 2 years. This time we came at around 6:30pm with reservations. We were seated almost immediately. The seating this time, unfortunately, was a bit disappointing. While we were still indoors, our view was another table that was sitting outdoors. I felt our space was a little too close and honestly you could hear everything that was being said. Besides the seating arrangement, the food was decent. I missed the variety of bread and was so happy to see the bin when we sat down. I love how they offer a variety of bread to start with. We had the steak tartare as appetizer (hm, it was alright, but I think the ravioli was still better), I had the duck l'orange as my entree and the moelleux au chocolat for dessert. The best part was definitely the duck, still juicy as ever. I savored every last bite. Probably what keeps making me come back for more. Came here on Memorial Day for a late evening dinner. It was a bit chilly after the sunset and we sat outside. The staff were quick to ask if we wanted the heaters on (yes please!) or if we wanted to move in indoors. Little things like this, the silverware service change between courses, checking in just enough to ensure our meal went well - this is why Parc remains one of the best places to have dinner. No photos, because honestly I think every dish is on here at least once but we enjoyed the bread basket, the chicken liver parfait, the pea soup, the warm shrimp salad and the Monday special fish dish. The three different breads were a fun starter and I really enjoyed the walnut bread paired with the butter. The service was good and my glass of water was constantly refilled which helped tremendously with the saltiness of the food. The ambiance is intimate and feels timeless. Overall, the service and ambiance is nice but the food was just not great. The gave use a bread basket that had the most wonderful selection of breads! He enjoyed an iced coffee and I had a an espresso martini. He had mushroom tart and the Croque Monsieur while I had the beet salad and the Quiche Lorraine. Everything was incredible!
