PARC WAS IT! From the moment I arrived, everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. My reservation was originally for 9:00 PM, but I was hoping to dine a little earlier. Although nothing was available online, I was encouraged to walk in and, to my surprise, there was a table waiting for me at 7:30 PM. That flexibility was truly appreciated and set the tone for the evening. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and I immediately felt taken care of. I also loved the option of al fresco dining. Located directly across from Rittenhouse Square, the setting is absolutely magnifique. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal while taking in the scenic view The beverage selection was excellent, with plenty of wines available by both the glass and bottle, as well as a great cocktail menu. The French-inspired menu offered so many tempting choices. I ordered the steak au poivre, and it was succulent. The peppercorn sauce was rich and flavorful, and the accompanying spinach completely surprised me. I'm not usually a big spinach fan, but the subtle citrus notes paired beautifully with the steak and elevated the entire dish. Even the complimentary cranberry bread was a thoughtful touch and a delicious start to the meal. To finish, I had the crème brûlée served with a warm madeleine, which was the perfect ending to an outstanding dinner. A special shoutout to my server, who guided me through the menu and made excellent recommendations. Great service can make a meal memorable, and that was certainly the case here. I cannot wait to return and savor more of this incredible French menu. PARC absolutely delivered.

I definitely thought Parc would be overhyped food-wise and the best part would be the ambiance & views of Rittenhouse - however I was pleasantly surprised! My husband and I were seated at a cozy table inside the restaurant but right on the edge to the outside, facing Rittenhouse Park, and the views and vibes even on a Sunday night were immaculate especially given the warm weather. We shared the tomato tart, ricotta ravioli, and ended with the moelleux au chocolat. First, I have to say the complimentary bread basket was good but not the best I've ever had - the raisin bread was good and the butter was perfectly soft but the baguette felt tough. However the rest of the food was splendid - the tomato tart was flaky, nicely cooked, with creamy goat cheese and juicy tomatoes - really good and would get this again. The ricotta ravioli I had expected to be similar to The Love since both are Starr restaurants but I LOVED this version - super plump ravioli stuffed with creamy ricotta in a proper dousing of tomato sauce & parmesan. So so good! Couldn't decide my favorite of the two savory options. Dessert was perfect - soft, gooey chocolate cake with chocolate crunchies and sweet ice cream - and I would happily order any of the dishes we ate again. I am willing to admit Parc deserves the hype, at least in our experience.

Went to celebrate a half birthday after having head such great things about this place. Upon walking in with our reservation we were immediately seated in a beautiful area. The ambiance was so nice we were next to these huge beautiful windows. The service was super friendly and nice and quick for how many people there were. The food was absolutely delicious the free bread to start was fantastic. The cheese board was great and the oysters were amazing some of the best in the city. The steak frites were solid and the chocolate cake was so good. The highlight was definitely the drinks they were all amazing. Definitely try the frosé blanc!

Raving for a good old bouillabaisse, we got a Friday early dinner slot and enjoyed authenticate French fish stew. Outstanding broth, light saffron, rich and aromatic...perfect dish for the night. Beef Tartare is very good, delicious, well seasoned, hint of salt and capers. Generous portions of sliced French bread with butter is much appreciated during dinner...all fresh and enjoyable. Great when dipped in the bouillabaisse broth or beef tartare on top. Escargot was just fine served with slices of mushroom. Personal preference is to serve with its shell on a ceramic dish. Overall, outstanding dinner, staff and server are friendly and attentive. Place is noisy and loud, just like any French bistro.

If you're looking for a little slice of Paris in the heart of Philadelphia, Parc absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is transporting--think warm lighting, tiled floors, and the smell of fresh-baked bread that instantly sets the tone for a classic French bistro experience. Overlooking Rittenhouse Square, it's one of the best spots in the city for people-watching, especially if you grab a sidewalk table. I came for lunch with relatives, and we had a good time while enjoying dood food. I had the shrimp cocktail, the cheesebirger and a margarita. Everything was delicious! The food lives up to the ambiance. Parc excels at traditional French fare, from rich onion soup and escargots to perfectly executed brunch staples and steak frites. The bread basket alone is worth the visit--fresh, warm, and indulgent. The menu stays true to classic flavors, and that consistency is part of its charm. Service is another highlight. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to guide you through the extensive wine list, making the experience feel polished without being stuffy. Whether you're there for a casual brunch or a special occasion dinner, the vibe strikes a perfect balance between lively and refined. Overall, Parc is a Philadelphia staple for a reason. It's not just a meal--it's an experience that captures the spirit of a Parisian café right in Center City. Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something a little special. Overall, 100% recommended.

Back at Parc, but this time for lunch! We really enjoyed the new Strawberry Buratta appetizer and the quiche!! Our servers were so sweet and brought out a sweet birthday treat for both the birthday girls! Once the weather is a bit warmer I would love to come back and sit outside, the tables are super cute.

Stopped in for a quick dinner on a rainy Wednesday night. No reservations but was able to get a table. Restaurant was very busy. Hubby had a steak. I have a burger. Both were very good & served quickly! They also gave us a complementary basket of bread. Our server was pleasant.

Still a phenomenal experience. The service is exceptional and their crowd control is practiced and well done. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. The quiche was so tall and delicious. Side salad was surprisingly good. Pastry basket was phenomenal. The potatoes were so good. The mixed berries were quite pricey at $10 but they were the freshest, ripest berries in February. It was insane how good they were. The waitress was always one step ahead and so thoughtful. Appreciated the little anniversary touch. Completely worth every penny. Pro tip, buy a baguette to go.

Visiting PHL over the weekend and thought we would try out this French Bistro, Parc for Brunch. Being a long weekend, we were not able to make a reservation via OpenTable nor by calling in. Although they were very sweet to let us know that they do take a few walk-ins. After finding parking in a nearby lot, we arrived around 11:00am, to find that the brunch menu was closed and they were now serving lunch. We were seated in about 10 minutes which was great as the restaurant was packed and we didn't have reservations. The place had some light music playing and was quiet but busy. Annie, our wait staff was just awesome ... She was super attentive and her recommendations were spot on. The choices on the lunch & drinks menus were huge. The table bread basket with warm bread that came in shortly after we sat, was just right to kick off this lunch. After having their Cafe Parc, aka Coffee Martini, we had the Soupe L'Oignon, aka French Onion Soup or just Onion Soup. The portion was huge and the flavors were just Fab !!! We proceeded to order a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, again huge portion, Shrimp Salad, very flavorful, a Crab & Avacado, which was tasty and my fav the NY Strip. By this time we were so full, that we skipped dessert. On our way out we saw their Boulangerie that sold Baguettes, Wheat Boules, as well as their Cramalized Onion+Cheese Sourdough bread. That was cool. All in all the experience was just awesome and we so glad that we were able to get to have lunch here. Will definitely look this up again the next time I am in PHL.

Location is perfect right across the park and the scene looks like a French street al fresco dining. Food was spectacular starting off with a basket of bread. My only suggestion is they bring out room temperature butter bc the one I got had fridge burn flavor. I started off with a warm shrimp salad - absolutely delish - simple but elevated with lemon beurre sauce and lettuce, a parm shred and roasted tomatoes. I also had the steak frites and it was also very simple but perfect - garlic butter, crispy fries and a perfectly cooked strip steak. My waiter was ok but the real star was the bus boy. He was so kind and attentive.

    The Parc bread basket.

My family and friends have eaten at Parc many times and it's a great example of what has made the Starr restaurant group a powerhouse in dining: consistency. I have never had to worry if my meal at this French bistro will be excellent. It always is. And the dish will be the same every time: no mucking about with the recipes or presentation. Philadelphia's best omelet will always be Philadelphia's best omelet. The service is fast and friendly by waiters who are dressed like they jumped out the third reel of GIGI. The place looks like it's always been there or maybe like somebody simply disassembled the joint in Paris, shipped it over, and set it up at 18th and Locust. And the look works -without being corny or kitschy. The Atlantic magazine recently wrote that Parc has the best free bread in America and I heartily concur. I dream about it. Each basket has a huge assortment of house-baked breads from baguette to their famous cranberry walnut loaf. It's worth it to go just for the bread! A few notes: Reservations can be hard to get but if you book for between 2 and 5 pm weekdays, you're likely to get in. It's pricey, but not outrageous, and I believe it's value for money. Parc is NOISY. VERY NOISY. God knows what that decibel level is, but it's bad enough to reconsider the idea of going there with someone hard of hearing. One of my all time favorites. Go!

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.
