The broth is perfectly balanced not too salty but with all the flavor from the slow-cooked onion. The cheese pull is next level, with a thick, golden layer of Gruyère that stretches with every bite. Food was great - just like France. Onion soup was flavorful and head a great cheese pull. Not too salty and just right. Boeuf Bourguingon was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection. Tender, moist, and not over cooked. The bacon pieces were a pleasant surprise. Service was above par and in line with French restaurant hospitality. A couple of old friends treated me to dinner at Parc when I was in Philadelphia last month. It was a really great experience. First we had a drink at the bar, and then dinner at a table (they had made a reservation). I debated getting Beef Bourguignon, which I'm sure is awesome there, but I was coming off of a day when my stomach hadn't been feeling great earlier in the day so I played it safer by getting roast chicken instead. But what amazing roast chicken it was!! Really fresh and delicious and it came with creamy mashed potatoes. I can't remember what my friends ordered for their entrees, but we all enjoyed the bread basket. We all had coffee drinks after dinner (I had a cappuccino) and one of my friends ordered sorbet and we all had some tastes of it. All in all, it was a great experience! Our server was a really sweet young guy who came by from time to time to check on us and see if we needed anything. I love the decor inside - it definitely has that European flavor. I'm sure it's fun to eat outside there too since it's in such a lively area. read more

The food was nice but in my opinion $18 for onion soup is a bit steep especially for the size. It was good, lots of cheese but not $18 good. The crispy artichokes were around the same price. It was again decent but not at that price point especially for the amount. The drinks were reasonably priced. The bread was amazing. So glad to finally checked this restaurant off my list! We had reservations for Saturday night, fairly busy when we walked in. Nice ambiance, lively bar area. Our server, Richard, was lovely and very attentive. Drinks: this is one of my favorite dirty martinis. Blue. Cheese. Stuffed. Olives. Need I say more!! I also tried their signature martini, the Nicoise. I liked it BUT the dirty martini was by far the best. We ordered the salmon tartar, beet salad, steak frites and duck l'orange. Salmon tartar was fresh and lite. Beet salad was flavorful and I'm a sucker for anything with goat cheese. Steak frites are a classic and fiancé enjoyed it. The highlight of the meal was the duck. I was BLOWN AWAY by the orange sauce abs the duck had this amazing crispy skin. 10/10!!!! Couldn't leave it out dessert so we ordered the passion fruit tart and vanilla bean crème brûlée. Perfect ending to the meal. That passion fruit tart was to DIE FOR! I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu. read more

This place definitely has rats - but it's the ratatouille kind - helping them create the best dishes and culinary combos!! We've been here for breakfast , lunch , brunch, and dinner - everything they make is amazing. I am certain that Remy or someone like him is partially responsible for some of the greatness of this place. The servers and managers are really great too. Everyone is really friendly and accommodating ( there were a few French things we wanted to try that they made for us as side orders ) It's prob better to make a reservation here, but we came in spontaneously when they were busy and they found a way to fit us in pretty quickly. I've been here quite a few times over the years. Even worked for a company that made the awnings. It's always been a place I enjoyed. However I don't often think of it. Which is a shame. Most recent visit was for my wife's graduation. The bread basket is delicious. But it can be easy to over eat. I got the pea soup and I loved it. Normally pea soup has a bunch of additives. This however was very green. So I think it was all pea. It was really good. The mushroom tart we split was amazing. I got a cold brew. Was not the best I've had. Not very potent and was more like iced coffee. There's a difference trust me. I got the roast beef sandwich that was absolutely delicious. The side gravy they give you really sets it off. I'd say the only place that does bread better is Le Bus. So if you're in the area and thinking about eating don't forget Parc. read more

Not fresh at all, just a bunch of awful smells on a plate. Jambon beurre baguette was another disappointment. Your chef needs to visit Paris and learn how to prepare French food the appropriate way. I had a great experience here as a solo diner! There seemed to be a long wait, but being by myself, they were able to accommodate me within just a few minutes. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating with the tables and chairs facing toward the sidewalk. It gives a nice replica Parisian view and vibe! The food was great!! I had the salmon tartare as well as steak frites. The salmon paired perfectly with the bread (and the extra bread from the bread basket) and tasted so fresh. The steak frites were cooked to perfection - rare steak and crispy but not oily fries. I highly recommend checking out Parc! It won't disappoint! read more

We really wanted to try Parc after hearing good things and knew it would be a long wait on a Saturday afternoon so we got here to put our name in and they said it would be a 1-2 hour wait. We decided to shop around in the area and wait it out. After waiting an hour and 45 min we called to check in and they were pretty rude and said well it hasn't been 2 hours yet so no your table isn't ready. We made our way back anyway and waited another 15 minutes before our table was ready. Ended up being well over 2 hours. The ambiance inside is really cool and especially the holiday decor. But I wasn't impressed with the service, our waitress took so long to even come to our table, come back to get our order, everything. We ordered a bunch of apps and those were definitely the hit of our meal. The bread was absolutely divine, as was the burrata and fig toast. We didn't like our entrees as much, the burger was okay but not worth $24 for sure. Great espresso martinis though! I don't think I would return especially if it's another 2 hour wait. read more

Parc was recommended to us by some friends who live nearby, and it is wonderful. Lovely ambiance, excellent service, and wonderful food and drinks. Just stopped in for drinks this time: the Martini Niçoise and Lady Marmalade (Casadores tequila, orange marmalade and lime) - great flavor. Look forward to returning! I came back the next day with my husband and daughter for breakfast. The service was incredibly slow, actually non-existent . After waiting about 15 minutes with no one coming by to fill our water glasses or take our order, I believed we had been forgotten, so I went to the front desk to notify them. Fortunately, after that, a waiter quickly came by to take our orders, and later on a manager came by to apologize and made it right for us. That was certainly appreciated, The ambiance is beautiful, and the food was great The breakfast sandwich was amazing, especially the thick crispy bacon. The pancakes were really good too. Salmon benedict was all right. I substituted a salad for the potatoes, and it was wonderful. We'd love to come again for lunch or dinner. read more

Color me disappointed. I had not been to the Parc in several years. Prior visits yielded great food in a bit noisy environment but now the food quality was down and the noise was up. From the Star Resturant group description of the resturant "Magically transporting Philadelphians to the enchanting sidewalk cafes of Paris, Parc pays homage to the beloved French bistro...". It's simply not true. There is no bistro in France like Parc. There were two of us this time sitting in the main dining area. The sound level was even louder than I recall. I guess sucess breeds success as I don't remember this place being so large. I decided to try the sadine appetizer. Having had this in both France and Spain with one or two sardines nicely fried and salty I was looking forward to the treat. Imagine my surprise at a tin of sardines on the plate. At least I didn't have to open the tin. This was my first disappointment. (They did remove the charge from my bill.) Steak frites again because I love this dish. Tender, juicy, and hanger steak is always a treat. But to my surprise the steak was not hanger steak and the frites had definitly not been double fried as they are in France. Yes, rib eye steak is tender but it does not have the distinct flavor of hanger steak. This place is expensive. If I wanted a tin of sardines and a rib eye I could get them elsewhere at half the price. I guess I'll need to find a French Bistro in Philadelphia elsewhere. Two peple and two dinners plus bottled water, one glass of wine, no appetizer, and no dessert $209 including tip. I won't be back. read more

Went Saturday evening for a birthday. The waiter was so wonderful and friendly and the food delicious. The manager gave us all of our apps for free because he said there had been a delay in our entrees coming out. We did not feel that delay at all! Free dessert for the birthday girl too. I went to Parc with a friend on a balmy late May day. It was pretty crowded and we didn't have reservations. We asked for a 2 top outside and they told us it would be about 30 mins. We decided to go to the bar and get palomas while we waited. The bar was crowded as well but we got our drinks pretty quickly. $48 for two Casamigos palomas. Pretty pricey but delicious. It was maybe in my top 5 best palomas. My friend got the text that our table was ready so we were seated outside. The wind took my menu and spilled my drink on the table. We let the server know but we had to ask him to bring us new flatware even though it was obvious the whole thing was soaked in my drink and we had to use the napkins to clean up the mess. I ordered another paloma and the steak frites. My friend ordered the tuna carpaccio and fries. The steak came as a whole piece. It was a little tough despite being cooked med rare as I had asked. The steak butter and the juice from the steak made the fries just sing! It was great. The second paloma must have been made by a different bartender because it wasn't as great as the first. All in all, I enjoyed myself but some of that was definitely due to my company. I hadn't been there in a while but I'd definitely go back to Parc. read more
