I understand the hype around Parc; I just came back from France and yes, it has all the styling of a bistro but... meets Cheesecake Factory in terms of the scale/size of the restaurant, ha. It's a bustling and noisy inside but very charming. The food is pretty outstanding as well: *Pastry Basket ($17 - lemon poppy seed cake, blueberry lemon tart, pistachio raspberry danish, pain au chocolate, croissant, chouquettes) - all the pastries were so perfectly baked! *Onion Soup Gratinée - for $20, French Onion soup better be outstanding and it was! It was lovely - savory with the little bit of funk from the gruyere on the nose and a slightly sweet broth from the onions. Lovely. *French Toast ($18 - blueberries, chantilly crème, lime zest, maple syrup) - this STOLE the show. I am not a french toast girlie but Parc has made me a french toast girlie. It was soaked lightly and soft and pillow-y. The fresh blueberries and lime zest with the luscious yet light chantilly - CHEF'S KISS! Service was great!

Parc is another place that was really popular as we walked by during that weekend in Philly! Brunch scene was crazy and due to the fact we did Green Eggs and Rouge on the two days over the weekend, I had to drop in Monday morning before I flew outta Philly. Outside didnt seem as welcoming as it did over Sat and Sun so I sat inside. Very French place and looks like you're in France. I wanted to get something quick as I had some places to check out before I flew out so I went with the Croissant Sandwich which was accompanied by a fresh batch of mixed greens. Basic but very good! Washed it down with a nice cafe au lait. Server Navid was nice but he could disappear at times. Enjoyed my visit yo Parc and plan on returning on Sat or Sun when I hit Philly again!

I can see why this place won best breadbasket in America. The bread is absolutely delicious and fresh. The butter makes it perfect. The rest of the food however, not bad. Just ok. Honestly though I'll probably come back to enjoy some drinks on the cute outdoor section and snack on the bread.

He loved his French toast. My omlette was very literal white eggs and healthy ingredients. Too earthy to my liking. The bread asked was fun and you can tell many come for the bread with a dedicates to go window area within dedicated to bread orders. We only had brunch, our friends had suggested visiting based on their dinner experience. Make a reservation to avoid a long wait.

Honestly came here because of a podcast on the bread. The bread was really good and they give you a few types, which is nice. We tried: - Escargot - Strawberries & Burrata - Steak Frites - Beef Bourguignon - Botanique The strawberries were extremely fresh and the escargot was buttery, oily, and garlicky. The steak was beautifully, but the fries a bit too salty but still good.

PARC WAS IT! From the moment I arrived, everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. My reservation was originally for 9:00 PM, but I was hoping to dine a little earlier. Although nothing was available online, I was encouraged to walk in and, to my surprise, there was a table waiting for me at 7:30 PM. That flexibility was truly appreciated and set the tone for the evening. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and I immediately felt taken care of. I also loved the option of al fresco dining. Located directly across from Rittenhouse Square, the setting is absolutely magnifique. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal while taking in the scenic view The beverage selection was excellent, with plenty of wines available by both the glass and bottle, as well as a great cocktail menu. The French-inspired menu offered so many tempting choices. I ordered the steak au poivre, and it was succulent. The peppercorn sauce was rich and flavorful, and the accompanying spinach completely surprised me. I'm not usually a big spinach fan, but the subtle citrus notes paired beautifully with the steak and elevated the entire dish. Even the complimentary cranberry bread was a thoughtful touch and a delicious start to the meal. To finish, I had the crème brûlée served with a warm madeleine, which was the perfect ending to an outstanding dinner. A special shoutout to my server, who guided me through the menu and made excellent recommendations. Great service can make a meal memorable, and that was certainly the case here. I cannot wait to return and savor more of this incredible French menu. PARC absolutely delivered.

I definitely thought Parc would be overhyped food-wise and the best part would be the ambiance & views of Rittenhouse - however I was pleasantly surprised! My husband and I were seated at a cozy table inside the restaurant but right on the edge to the outside, facing Rittenhouse Park, and the views and vibes even on a Sunday night were immaculate especially given the warm weather. We shared the tomato tart, ricotta ravioli, and ended with the moelleux au chocolat. First, I have to say the complimentary bread basket was good but not the best I've ever had - the raisin bread was good and the butter was perfectly soft but the baguette felt tough. However the rest of the food was splendid - the tomato tart was flaky, nicely cooked, with creamy goat cheese and juicy tomatoes - really good and would get this again. The ricotta ravioli I had expected to be similar to The Love since both are Starr restaurants but I LOVED this version - super plump ravioli stuffed with creamy ricotta in a proper dousing of tomato sauce & parmesan. So so good! Couldn't decide my favorite of the two savory options. Dessert was perfect - soft, gooey chocolate cake with chocolate crunchies and sweet ice cream - and I would happily order any of the dishes we ate again. I am willing to admit Parc deserves the hype, at least in our experience.

This was my first time having brunch at Parc. As always my expectations have been blown away. The waiters and staff are amazing and the food is on point! I think for the experience and food the pricing is so reasonable. Parc is still probably my favorite restaurant in central PA area.

parc is a philly staple, but you don't come here for the food, you come for the vibes. the restaurant is gorgeous and always busy, but the best part is sitting outside to face the rittenhouse square park and people watch. i love coming here on a dilly dally day when the weather is nice, and the complementary bread is always delightful. my favorite is the one cranberry and walnut. overall, the food isn't really anything special, but they do have a solid french onion soup. i've come here countless times for brunch/lunch/afternoon whatever, but nothing has ever hit me as a must order. while the food isn't the highlight, i had to give this iconic spot 5 stars for the experience. i always find myself coming back.

I have been wanting to come here for awhile but it is always very busy, I would recommend making a reservation. I can see why it is so popular now, the waitstaff is great, always refilling water and very friendly, also the free basket of bread is unheard of these days and the bread is actually fresh and amazing! The ambience is a Parisian cafe vibe right on the park, perfect for anytime of the day and very lively. I had the eggs Benedict and it was perfectly cooked, eggs just runny enough, sauce was perfectly balanced and tasty and a good English muffin. The frites were also fantastic, perfectly crispy and seasoned. The menu has something for everyone and brunch is great! Would recommend!

I visit Parc each time I am in Philadelphia. I love the location near the square. Seating outside in the warmer months is great for people watching. The atmosphere inside takes you back in time and is classically beautiful. The service is timely and our servers are always helpful and attentive. The Steak Frites is my go to main course. They offer Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Mid-Day and Dinner service. The bar is highly appointed and lovely for a drink with friends. The classic French bistro offerings will invite you to keep coming back.

If you're looking for a little slice of Paris in the heart of Philadelphia, Parc absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is transporting--think warm lighting, tiled floors, and the smell of fresh-baked bread that instantly sets the tone for a classic French bistro experience. Overlooking Rittenhouse Square, it's one of the best spots in the city for people-watching, especially if you grab a sidewalk table. I came for lunch with relatives, and we had a good time while enjoying dood food. I had the shrimp cocktail, the cheesebirger and a margarita. Everything was delicious! The food lives up to the ambiance. Parc excels at traditional French fare, from rich onion soup and escargots to perfectly executed brunch staples and steak frites. The bread basket alone is worth the visit--fresh, warm, and indulgent. The menu stays true to classic flavors, and that consistency is part of its charm. Service is another highlight. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to guide you through the extensive wine list, making the experience feel polished without being stuffy. Whether you're there for a casual brunch or a special occasion dinner, the vibe strikes a perfect balance between lively and refined. Overall, Parc is a Philadelphia staple for a reason. It's not just a meal--it's an experience that captures the spirit of a Parisian café right in Center City. Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something a little special. Overall, 100% recommended.

Went to celebrate a half birthday after having head such great things about this place. Upon walking in with our reservation we were immediately seated in a beautiful area. The ambiance was so nice we were next to these huge beautiful windows. The service was super friendly and nice and quick for how many people there were. The food was absolutely delicious the free bread to start was fantastic. The cheese board was great and the oysters were amazing some of the best in the city. The steak frites were solid and the chocolate cake was so good. The highlight was definitely the drinks they were all amazing. Definitely try the frosé blanc!

I saw some nice appetizers and chose a sandwich as well. I started with the Artichoke Hummus with Feta and Grilled Focaccia - it was excellent! Large chunks of artichoke with the creamy hummus and little balls of feta were such a great combination. However, it was the Grilled Focaccia that brought the spread to its peak. Light and slightly crunchy it was so delicious with the hummus! Next up, the Pistachio Herbed Ricotta with Lavender Honey Bruschetta. I took my first bite started to chew and had to close my eyes as I was transported to a 'heavenly' taste. The pistachio with the creamy ricotta was amazing, and with the lavender honey, it was over the top. I told the server it could be a dessert as well! After two great appetizers, I was really looking forward to my 'main dish' - the Smoked Chicken Sandwich with Cabot Cheddar, fresh tomato and arugula, and a truffle herbed aioli (I opted out of the bacon). I took a bite and of this thick smoked chicken breast with a fabulous aioli dressing and was delighted it was every bit as delicious as the appetizers! The chicken was tender complimented by the cheese, tomato and arugula-but I had the dressing come on the side and found myself adding more and more, it was so good! What a gem in Center Cjty - it's a must try!

Sure, there has been the occasional hiccup here and there, but that's simply the reality of the service industry. What matters is that the overall experience has been consistently excellent, and over time I've come to know and appreciate many members of your team. My most recent visit, however, reminded me exactly why I keep coming back and fully reaffirmed my ongoing state of Barcelona Bliss. I recently made reservations for myself and a friend to celebrate his birthday. Wanting to guarantee a great evening, there was really only one choice: Barcelona. As an added bonus, I had attended UNCORKED and was fortunate enough to win an extra prize along with my free tapas button: a $100 credit toward a bottle of wine. From the moment we walked through the door, the evening was off to a great start. We were greeted by Elliot, my favorite person at Barcelona. I've always found him to be welcoming, attentive, personable, and genuinely funny. In fact, he was one of the original reasons we became regulars. When he first served us, he combined exceptional service with an engaging personality that made every visit feel special. As always, he was on top of everything and even made a point of wishing my friend a happy birthday. I could spend pages describing the food, service, and atmosphere, but I'll spare you my rambling. Suffice it to say, the evening was exceptional. Every member of the team seemed committed to making sure we had a memorable experience. Whether it was the thoughtful suggestion to combine our table with another when our growing collection of tapas and wine began to outgrow the available real estate, the delightful sommelier, a funny and attentive blonde woman whose name I unfortunately can't remember, who guided us to the perfect bottle, or our server, who never missed a beat and seemed to anticipate every need before we could ask, every member of the team contributed to making the evening truly special. The 2024 Gessamí was an inspired recommendation and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the night. Fragrant and beautifully balanced, with notes of jasmine, citrus, and ripe stone fruit, it was vibrant, refreshing, and paired wonderfully with our seemingly endless parade of tapas. The entire experience was lovely, fun, memorable, and genuinely impressive. While I unfortunately can't remember the names of either the sommelier or our server, that is in no way a reflection of their service. If anything, it simply highlights the shortcomings of my memory. Their attentiveness, professionalism, warmth, and contributions to the evening certainly did not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. This visit reminded me exactly why Barcelona has become such a favorite destination. Time and again, you deliver the perfect combination of outstanding food, exceptional wine, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both exciting and comfortable at the same time. While Barcelona Wine Bar is certainly a great name, in my mind it will always be known as my Barcelona Bliss.

They have a huge vinyl collection and only play vinyl while you sip and enjoy. This particular day, a few folks were working remote from the cafe tables. We were on vacation and decided to drink some wine. The bartender was so friendly and allowed us to try a few really unique selections. They had natural wine from Uruguay, South Africa, and plenty of other places. The South African wines were probably some of my favorite -- sooo unique and like nothing I've tried before. They also have a small bottle shop where you can make purchases for takeaway, which we ended up doing ourselves. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone who's a fan of coffee, natural wine, or vinyl!

Went here for lunch, had a good experience!…read more Food: 8.8/10 - I really loved what u ordered. I could eat everything again. Good portion sizes too. We also got the Cacio e Pepe which was fantastic and Al Dente. Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 8.3/10 - This venue is pretty small. Don't sit outside or else you will smell the fishy streets of Philly.

cute restaurant in center city with the iconic spicy chicken caesar!…read more all i can say is: spicy chicken caesar. it lives up to the hype, and it is delicious. i've eaten here several times now and none of the other food is particularly memorable, but the spicy chicken caesar is fantastic albeit a little expensive. i really need my boyfriend to learn how to make the spicy chicken caesar so i stop coming back, but it makes for a fantastic girl dinner. most of the times i've come here were either for restaurant week or the spicy chicken caesar. i really don't think it's worth coming for restaurant week, it's kind of a bummer that your whole table has to order the same thing and that you share a lot of the dishes. it ends up being not a whole lot of food, and i did the math and the cost comes out to be about the same. overall, it's a decent restaurant with good service. it's located right in center city with a million other restaurants so it's easily overlooked, but when i think of prunella i think of spicy chicken caesar.
