Another win for Oakland, what a beautiful space and place ~ Parche off Broadway. With no reservations, a friend and I wanted to grab some bites and a bevy. We were seated right at 5p, but were told there was a reservation for our table at 6:30p which gave us plenty of time to sit down, relax, and enjoy our meal. Wowee, the restaurant space is so vibrant and full of life. Friendly staff that helped to guide us through the cocktail and food menu. It was suggested to order 2-3 shared plates, and our server was spot on. We did the Sweet Plantain "gnocchi", Empanada de Ajiaco, and the Costilla Negra. What a treat! The Gnocchi dish was entirely vegan made from actual plantains, but would never have known. Topped with vegan sausage, eggplant, and in a hazelnut puree/vegan sage brown butter sauce. So unique! The empanadas had a shredded chicken base and were juicy/plump. We enjoyed the jalapeño-cilantro aioli sauce to dip. And the showstopper dish, the bone-in short rib (Costilla Negra)..yes yes yes. Accompanied with a coconut-yuca puree, it was simply divine. Would go back for this dish alone. Fall-off-the-bone meat in a creamy bed of mash..what foodie dreams are made of! For contemporary Colombian cuisine with a beautiful cocktail list in downtown Oakland, this is a great spot. They also have quite an extensive NA/mocktail list too. We took a ride-share because parking downtown can be rough, and also didn't mind the extra wallet splurge of an early evening girly meal.

Wonderful food, service, lively and vibrantly decorated space at Parche in Uptown Oakland. Offering delicious modern Columbian food and introduced during Oakland Restaurant Week. Ordered a variety of items to share (family style) and dishes all presented beautifully and flavors on point. From the salad del Norte with lots of textures and flavor, corn arepas with melty cheese, crispy, flavorful brussel sprouts and savory, nicely seasoned empanadas, everything was delicious with no complaints Our server, Celia was friendly, efficient and engaging...great service which made the dining experience really enjoyable! I'd definitely return as soon as many items to try (ceviche!) and repeat as the first visit had me wanting more! Metered street parking

My husband and I came here on a date night. It happened to be Oakland Restaurant Week, so there was the option to do the restaurant week Prix Fixe menu or their regular menu. We opted for the regular menu since I wanted to try the whole Brazino. The table next to us ordered the rest week menu, so we got to peek at their food. It all looked really good as well. We even lucky with the tapas platter from the restaurant instead of just empanadas because they kept mixing up our table with the one next to us. The ceviche was really yummy. It was a treat to be able to try a varity of small plate items with the tapas platter they brought to our table by accident. The Brazino was really cool, and tasted fine but it wasn't amazing. There were a few birthday celebrations when we were there. They bring your drink out in this elephant head statue to wish you a happy birthday. Overall, I woudl recommend giving this place a try. I would go again, but not sure that I would rush back soon.

Parche is a whole vibe. The lush greenery , vibrant decor, and upbeat music make it an easy spot to unwind with friends, whether you're winding down after a long day or kicking off a night out. We ordered a few items to share: Patacones - Crispy flattened plantains served with ají, onion marmalade, and papaya salsa on the side. Not exactly what I expected, but in a good way. I ended up really enjoying them. Empanada de Ajiaco - Filled with shredded chicken, corn, and capers, paired with a jalapeño-cilantro aioli. Flavorful!!! Santa Marta Ceviche - Trout in a mango leche de tigre with squid ink aioli, basil oil, and coriander oil, topped with crispy salmon skin. Sooo good--bright, fresh, and packed with flavor. Scoop it up with fried plantains.... Yuuummm!!! Amaranta Cocktail - Vodka, colombiana reduction, vanilla, passion fruit, and bubbles. Smooth and slightly sweet... but definitely a creeper. Friendly, attentive service, a lively atmosphere, and solid food all around. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Such a cute spot. Excellent service. Great vibes. Amazing food. Came here on a Monday and there was a wait. We ordered the Santa Marta Ceviche and Mojarra Frita. The flavors in the Santa Ceviche was layered and complex but blended so well together. The fried branzion in the Morjarra Frita was crispy but moist, but the star of the show was the arroz titoté, a rich, sweet-and-salty, coconut rice. Parking can be difficult, as it's in a busy area.

I came here for Oakland Restaurant Week and was blown away. The restaurant is well-decorated and gave such fun vibes. The waitress we got had great energy and was super helpful. My boyfriend and I got the special dinner prix fixe menu which allowed us to try four different dishes for less than what you would normally pay for them. Everything was so delicious but the fried plantains definitely stood out. So crunchy. So good. I was also pleasantly surprised by the portion of steak we got. It was hefty and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I can't wait to bring my parents here next time!

Located in Uptown Oakland on Broadway, Parche is an interesting Columbian Restaurant on Broadway with a classy Columbian Andy Warholesque even high ceiling "Tiki-Columbiano" vibe with excellent service and is a great place to try out for lunch. The service is friendly and top notch. My review is based on the lunch I had today, 3/23/2026. Appetizers are tapas style and we ordered Ceviche (5/5) and a savory plantain dish (5/5) with three toppings, once peppery and vinegary which I love and the other two were sweeter toppings which I didn't prefer (3/5) as much. We also ate an interesting pan fried Brussels Sprouts seasoned with some sort of sugar or syrup (agave? Maple syrup?) with some kind of red looking berry that was pretty good (4/5). I normally do not like sweet and prefer savory but this was intriguing (4/5); For my main dish, I had a pork belly dish that came with shredded pork, red beans and rice and was heavy but not bad (3.5/5). We also had one other side that was like chips from some kind of starch that was pretty good. All in all, this is an interesting restaurant with an amazing relaxing atmosphere. Would come here again.

I seriously can't remember the last time I found food to be this fantastic. Parche knocked this meal out of the freakin' park! We went with friends for Oakland Restaurant Week and tried everything on the menu. The fact that everyone at the table had a different favorite dish tells me all I need to know about how quality a place is. For me, my highlights were the Bruselas El Prado and the Arepa Choclo. I don't know who thought to pair brussel sprouts with a touch of sweetness, but that person is a genius. The AREPA CHOCLO OMFG. Literally the best thing I have ordered at any restaurant in AGES. Perfectly buttery, the natural sweetness from the corn, and the luscious pull of the melted farmers cheese...absolutely perfection on a plate. Service was slower than expected but the food was worth the wait! The ambience was chill and unpretentious and the space itself is well decorated. I would recommend planning a day around eating at the restaurant. I will definitely be back soon.

Yumyumyum!! Came in on a weekend evening sans reservation, and was luckily able to get a cozy seat in a corner near the bar. First of all, vibes are amazing. It's vibrant and upbeat and just cute and fun. So much of their menu sounded so good. We tried the plantains with slow cooked beef, beef carpaccio, chicharrons, and Brussels sprouts. Beef carpaccio was good! But in comparison to everything else it was okay (lol). Plantains were my fav and definitely add the beef!! It was so juicy and I loved the 3 different salsas you can add to your diy taco. The plantains were delightfully crispy and chewy. Perfect texture. Chicharrons came in a smaller portion than we expected, but was also really yummy. Brussels sprouts were my friend's favorite haha. They were a little sweet, came hot and crispy straight from the oven. Overall amazing vibes and amazing food. I'll be back to try their ceviche for sure!!

Loved our experience here! We came for our date nite and had a great time. The decor was vibrant and fun which gave me the feel that we actually traveled to Columbia. The menu is divided into 3 sections designed to share which allowed us to try different items. The salmon tartare was fresh, flavorful and plantain chips gave the perfect amount of crunch with a hint of sweetness. The brussel sprouts were crispy and well seasoned. Finally, the rib eye was juicy and the sauce took it to another level.

This restaurant is truly a little gem of Colombia in Oakland. The service was genuinely nice and welcoming, even though I could tell they were a bit short staff and they still handled everything with grace. I absolutely loved the presentation and flavor of the salmon ceviche. It was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. I also ordered an espresso martini; it was good, but I personally missed that little touch of Baileys to make it perfect. The décor is colorful, lively, and full of personality it really adds to the whole experience. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because my steak arrived slightly cold. However, it's nothing they can't improve, and I'm definitely willing to give them a second chance very soon. Thank you, Parche team see you soon!

WE LOVE PARCHE! WOW. What an great spot. This place exceeded all expectations. Every dish was delightful. Great (strong) drinks, great music, and friendly/lively atmosphere. It was an upscale meal without the pretentiousness of a stuffy white-tablecloth place. We will absolutely return.

Upon entry I was ready for a really great experience. I love the decor, I think it lends the right combination of bohemian artistic and inspired by Colombian art. We had wanted some tapas so knew this was a shared plate situation. Ordered ceviche, brussels and the pork belly. Server "Oh oops we are out of the pork belly, for some reason they don't tell until we try to order it" (handheld) I call BS or bad management there but no biggie. I asked him to come back. I had a NA cocktail which was nice. It had a smokiness that mimicked mezcal. Ended up with the two we chose plus the lechon. At $49 I expected better. So the ceviche. Decent. Honestly a little fishy, but not spoiled just strong flavored for rock fish. No salt tho and no salt on the plantain chips... Brussels - inventive, good flavor. Lechon - unfortunately cut of pork is lean, stuffed and then cut in slices. I think then each piece put under the broiler maybe? Made for a drier then should be dish. The flavors were a bit over bearing too. Everyone was nice, hospitable, seemed to be informed and trained well. So the staff is not an issue. Everything is expensive now so I wouldn't say the prices are completely out of line or anything. Just wanted more delivery for the caliber of the place. I'd try again and hope for another star.

It packed the flavor punch of homestlye cooking and would rival more expensive sit-down restaurants. What a gem! We ordered the Venezuelan arepa, birria empanada, mushroom empanada, side Macondo salad, and passion fruit juice. Every dish was fantastic, and I'd easily recommend any of the above. Venezuelan arepa -- the was ridiculously yummy. The perfect balance of creamy, rich avocado sauce with chicken. It was hearty, balanced, and perfectly seasoned. Birria empanada -- this was delicious, rich, and perfect for the particularly chilly late afternoon. Birria on point. If you're craving birria in a delectable, crispy empanada format, you'll be quite happy. Mushroom empanada -- yummy. We love mushroom empanadas and they executed this one well. Macondo side salad -- surprisingly fantastic! Did not expect it to be so tasty. It was only a side dish for the combo, but it held its own among the baked goods. That's how yummy it was. Passion fruit juice -- sweet and relatively thick. They definitely didn't water it down! If you're a fan of passion fruit juice, you'll must try this one. Environment was fast casual. Only drawback was althe comfort level of a few of the dining chairs, which sloped backwards in an awkward way. The bench actually felt more comfortable, so we opted for that. We ordered the Venezuelan, Colombian, and Pulled Pork BBQ arepas, the birria empanadas, pandebono with dulce de leche, and the chocolo arepa. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish most of the food. The birria empanadas and all three arepas were way too salty. I'm not sure if they went a little overboard with the salt today, but it was overwhelming and made it hard to enjoy anything. The pandebono with dulce de leche was also disappointing. It's described as being filled with dulce de leche, but it was actually just a plain pandebono with a small side of dulce de leche. The texture was also a bit too chewy for my liking. The only item I truly enjoyed and was able to eat was the chocolo arepa that one was actually decent. Overall, I was pretty disappointed because I really enjoy arepas and was excited to find a new spot. I may give them another try in the future in case it was just an off day, but this first experience didn't live up to my expectations.

The flavors are AMAZING and so unique...Top 3 Standouts were the Duck with grilled ramps and papaya (seriously best duck I've ever had), the Kanpachi Crudo with habanero (I was scared of this but they totally tamped down the heat with carrots and pineapple and added sunflower seeds for crunch), and the flan which was impossibly THIK and smooth (best flan I've ever had hands down). Also really enjoyed the made-in-house guava sorbet and pavlova (which tasted like crispy honeycomb). Super relaxed atmosphere with friendly, unpretentious service. The only down side was that it WAS fine dining so each dish is extremely small and it does take a long time between courses. The opening bite with english peas was one of my favorite dishes, though it was too large for a single bite. The wild salmon was well cooked but a little boring, while the pork was unfortunately overcooked. The panna cotta was delicious and one of the highlights of the evening. The wines by the glass were fine but not especially memorable. The cocktails were much more interesting, and the one I tasted was excellent. The restaurant was half empty when we arrived, which made such a large dining room feel slightly lonely. If you're looking for some good comfort food in a very chill environment, this is it! Two of us opted for the Pepian de Gallina, a delicious chicken stew with vegetables in a mildly spiced brown gravy. It was served with seasoned rice and two freshly made, delicious tortillas. One person made a meal out of side dishes that were quite good including a tamal Colorado and cooked corn on the cob with a drizzle of mayo, mustard, catsup, and cheese. For dessert we tried the platanos in mole sauce. This was new for us as we've only eaten chicken mole. The sauce was largely the same and mildly sweet. The people are friendly and very laid back. And the music is very mellow and nice.

I decided to try this place with a coworker one day and was so happy I did, we keep going back…read more Guatemalan Restaurants are a little harder to find, even in a culturally rich area like San Francisco. The website shows colorful images of their menu items, which made it easy to determine what to try first. They have a variety of savory dishes, breakfast, soups and smaller plates. The items on the menu vary in price and have found that there are items under $10 that are great for lunch. On my first visit, I ordered the Chuchito, a small type of Guatemalan tamale filled with chicken and a tomato based sauce, wrapped in corn husks. The chunk of chicken was large and very juicy. I also ordered the Tacos Dorados, which are like Taquitos or Rolled Tacos, also very good and filling. My friend ordered the Pepian de Gallena, which is a traditional Guatemalan stew of Kaqchikel origin from the department of Chimaltenango. The flavors were so rich and savory, she took just the broth home that was left. On my second visit, I ordered the Tamal Colorado, which reminds me a lot of the Nicaraguan Tamales that we make in our family. The similarities are that they are wrapped in banana leaves and have a softer smooth masa. I also ordered the Dobladas, these are fried tortillas folded in half with beef with vegetables. It comes accompanied with cabbage and tomato sauce. This looks like a taco, but tasted like a savory empanada. Declious! Other items that we have ordered here are the Carne Asada Plate (a lot of food) and the Paches Tamale, similar to tamales colorado with the difference that Paches are made of potato and are spicy. Originally from the department of Quetzaltenango! The food here is delicious and unique, I love the flavors of the different dishes and also the Rosa de Jamaica. You need to try this spot.
