Food: Excellent! Must orders are the branzino (the fish is cooked perfectly and the broth is so unique) and crab carimanola/bunelos (generous with the crab, perfectly fried). Most of the things we ordered were amazing, the only thing I would recommend skipping is the lamb shoulder (sauce/toppings were great but they did not cook the meat for long enough and it was tough/rare in some parts) Drink: The Xue cocktail was AMAZING -- so complex and unique. The Ostia Tia was a bit sweet for my taste but also good. The Rana Blanca didn't have the best composition/tasted mostly like straight vodka. Ambiance: Lovely! The decor is super cute and the music was great. One giant dining room with all the tables pretty close to each other which I thought was intimate but if you're COVID-conscious, may be something to consider. Not sure if it would be great for big groups. We made a reservation for 5 people and they did seat us at a 4-top so 2 people had to squeeze into one side. There were multiple other tables of 5 people like this. Service: I went about 1 week after they opened in January 2023 and a lot of the servers were still not so familiar with the menu however everyone was extremely nice and attentive! We came here to celebrate my daughter's 23rd birthday and received a warm welcome, as if we were part of their 'parche' (group of friends/tribe). Decor and ambiance were conducive to our festive mood. The cocktails Como un Lulo, La Lulada were stimulated all of our senses - but the piece de resistance was when charming Paul arrived with an elephant vessel with a special concoction for the Birthday girl and summoned us all the yell out 'que viva!'. We had the Tumaco ceviche - muy delicioso, the patacones, caramañolas de cangrejo, and the empanadas. Highly recommend all 3. These took me back to my childhood in Colombia, and surprised me with their magical realism twists. Our wish is that the portions would magically grow and replenish. Then we had the cod encocado - we could not get enough of the sauce! Lastly we had the burrata and the cornbread pudding - both deserts were to die for. Each item has unique flavor and to my surprise a lot of the menu is gluten and dairy free which made it that much better. So good! Went on a double date bday celebration. Highly recommend going with a group so you can try more items - so much of the menu looks amazing. We got the chia (mixed seafood) ceviche and the ceviche de chicharron. I didn't think I'd be as into the latter but that pork belly was SO delicious, and the accompanying sauces were perfect. The arepas were good but the blue crab empanadas were my favorite. The seafood bisque was my fave larger plate, although the short rib was also good. Creative cocktails also. This place was packed but felt very comfortable. I felt transported out of oakland. It was a vibe. There were people dancing in the back --it felt like a family owned spot and I love that for this place. We made reservations and there was no waiting. This was also the middle of the week and not a weekend sitting. The food presentation was amazing and it tasted just as good. My four rating had to do with the wait time on the ribs. I was unsure if it was timing the waitress out it in but it was significantly later and we order all the food at the same time. We got order one small plate, and two main dishes to share. I've been to parche twice for brunch, once for dinner, and once for drinks. Brunch never seems to be as busy as dinner but it is excellent. This menu works best if the party is interested in sharing a few items. For brunch today we were a party of two and split the Plantain Caesar salad and the San Benito. Both were excellent but the Caesar salad was especially exciting. The smoked salmon comes under a dome full of smoke at the table. It also has mint which was a lovely addition. The dark and stormy is my favorite of the non alcoholic cocktails. But the La Luda and Fresh n clean are also very good. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud for conversation and the service is on point. read more

The ambiance is soo fun, and I loved the music! They played throwback reggaeton and newly released reggaeton I wish they played some cumbia or vallenetos. Their food was sooo flavorful and delicious. It's hard for me to pick my favorite between the poquitos.. but for-sure the brisket cundinamarca took my heart and gave me a food baby lol. And the drinks were amaaazing I got the no sea sapo and had no regrets. Our server April was such a sweet heart while juggling so many tables. Also the host was so sweet and remembered our faces after we bar hopped a little bit and sat us asap for our reservation. And the owner took our picture before we left on the cute little rainbow seat. I will definitely be coming back! I totally recommend reserving a table because this place get super packed. I LOVED Parche! A friend suggested Parche after a prior visit where she said each dish was better than the next. We had reservations and the host staff was so welcoming. The server took the time to explain and recommend items to us. It didn't feel like a spiel, but real passion for the food. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, crab/plantains empanadas, arepas and the short rib. Each dish was better than the next. Literally the best, most flakey, buttery empanadas I've ever had. Arepas were great and the short rib was perfection (served with yucca coconut mash-delish). I was so impressed with the flawless service and attention to detail from all of the staff. I do not usually enjoy pork belly, but went back for seconds of the perfectly cooked, spicy pork with pickled veg. The ambiance is quiet colorful, vibrant, upscale but yet casual at the same time. I love their interior, the circular decor on the ceiling, & the backdrop is playful & fun while the lighting is dim, cozy, & can be quiet romantic. Their chicken empanada is scored 7/10. It was just ok. I scored the tamal 6/10. The beef & pork in the tamal is cooked very well and soft that it's easy to melt in the mouth. For whatever reason it seems to lack flavor. The ceviche de chicharron were so yummy though. I scored it 8/10 because it's crispy, chewy, and the combination of citrus flavors and the pickled radish was a brilliant idea. The soursop martini is scored 10/10. It tasted like juice ! Street parking seems very challenging since it's in broadway and the paid parking is quiet expensive nearby. I end up paying $24 for parking for just staying there 2 hours and half! I love Colombia, Colombian food, and all things Colombia, so when I saw this I had to try it immediately. As it turns out, Parche elevates Colombian food and ambience to a whole new level. The place has an incredible vibe, with music at just the right volume to groove on the amazing beats while not drowning out conversation. And it was packed, on a Tuesday night! The interior has been built out for comfort and there is a ton of cool stuff on the walls and Colombian iconic imagery everywhere. The bar kicks out amazing drinks (who ever heard about clarified Lulo? - OMG!) and while waiting for our table I was getting pretty psyched about everything I was watching people eat at the bar next to me. When we finally got seated we were assisted in picking out highlights from the menu that satisfied all our needs at the table. Dish after dish was sublime, with layers of flavor, nuance, and texture that kept everyone at our table eliciting ooohs and aaahs from all the yummy delights. While everything we ate was amazing, the Sancocho with whole Branzino stole the entire show. This was a delicacy that had my eyes rolling back in my head. I am not kidding. From the wait staff to the bar keeps, owners to cooks, everyone we talked to, which was pretty much everyone since we closed this place down was amazing. This is a fantastic Colombian restaurant. I went with my sister the opening weekend and it was a blast. The ambiance was warm and inviting, yet chic and sophisticated. We were seated right away and had a very kind server. The tumaco ceviche was refreshing and delicious, both empanadas were the perfect app to share, patacones were yummy and something I have never tried before but the real winner was the posta negra. The short rib fell right off the bone, and the yuca-coconut mash was an elevated side dish that had just a hint of sweet embedded into the creaminess.
