    BANGUS SISIG
    Aidalyn Christine S.

For starters, the food was great, we ordered a bunch on the menu, the best one was bangus sisig, the service was good ,the person serving us was nice and friendly, waiting time was a little slow, i guess because it was packed when we went and the place is new, they just opened a month ago, simple and small (family owned) restaurant has 6 tables, has comfortable seats, clean. Overall, it was a good experience. We recommend everyone to try it.

    Pares and Bone Marrow

Super sarap!!! Such a good place to go to for good Filipino comfort food. We ordered the Beef Pares with Bone Marrow, Veggie Lumpia, Sisig, and Chicksilog. Everything was so good!!! The pares with the chili oil is THEE combo. The suka to pair the veggie lumpia -- the best! Thank you Ate Leslie and Kuya Edward for having yummy food and comforting place to eat in. We were taken care of from the start!

My favorite would be the deluxe chirashi box for the wide variety of sashimi and salmon sashimi is my absolute favorite. I love getting salmon sashimi from every sushi place and this place def has some of the better ones. Service: we've never actually sat down in the restaurant since it looks super small and the tables are really close to each other and they're also typically busy and full. We order to go either over delivery or pick up and I would say it's pretty reasonable timing although I would recommend ordering ahead of time if picking up.

The space is very small, with three tables that seat two or three people and four stools at the counter. We ordered two rolls, the Oh Baby and Mango Salmon, as well as the sushi tacos. The quality and texture of the fish were good. Our favorite of the three dishes was the Mango Salmon roll. The mango paired nicely with the salmon, and the salmon itself was soft and buttery. The sushi tacos were enjoyable as well. The nori shell was crispy and added a nice texture, but I felt like the sauce was a little overpowering and took away from some of the other flavors and ingredients. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and appreciated the quality of the fish. It's a small spot, but worth checking out if you're in the area.

Stopped by Yoshi in Serramonte and had a really good experience…read more I ordered the chirashi bowl with a large hot sake, and my mom got a Sapporo. The chirashi bowl was so good, and they were generous with the sashimi. The pieces were thick and fresh, which made it feel worth ordering. Shoutout to our server, Gunwoo, who was super friendly and helpful with the menu. He made the whole experience even better. There was also a good crowd watching the World Cup, so the restaurant had a fun, welcoming energy. I also liked the Japanese-themed interior and the music playing in the background. It all came together really nicely. Definitely planning on coming back for lunch since I saw they have some pretty good lunch specials.

I immediately saw red flags and we should have left. My bowl arrived with a vegetable in it that shouldn't have been there, and I have no idea whether it was remade or simply removed. The biggest issue was safety. The server placed a sizzling hot beef teriyaki platter directly in front of my son without any warning that the plate was extremely hot. That could have easily resulted in a burn. The $27 beef teriyaki itself was disappointing--very little sauce and served over sautéed peppers, onions, and cabbage, making it feel more like fajitas than teriyaki. Overall, cleanliness, food quality, and attention to safety were lacking.

Despite the name, I've never actually had ramen here…read more This is my go-to to-go lunch sushi place and I live maybe at most 7 min away. The lunch-only special is only $23 ($25+ tax), and it comes with 7 pieces of nigiri, 6 pieces of a california roll, a miso soup, and a side salad. I don't know of a better deal anywhere. I've been going for probably close to 2 years and the quality is always great, and I get takeout probably at least 2-3x a month. I am honestly contemplating giving Tom Sam Ramen a glass reusable container since I order so often there but haven't done so yet to reduce waste. I prefer the sushi nigiri special more than the sashimi special because there are more kinds of fish. Sashimi includes very thick pieces of fish, but they were maybe only 4 kinds repeated. Pros: - Great prices, especially for lunch - Omakase sashimi (anytime) is also a great deal at $38 for 9 pieces - Combos are also well priced Cons: - They are now on DoorDash, but none of the lunch specials are on the menu - There are no dinner specials for nigiri (only sashimi) - womp womp for me - Parking can be hard - it's on a strip and parking is often full in front. There is parking behind the strip, otherwise you'll need to park around the neighborhood or in the Home Depot parking lot close by. - Rolls are on the average/higher side like most places

The sauces complemented the ingredients perfectly without overpowering them, and overall it was a very delicious meal. I would order from here again. The only downside was that a few of the grape tomatoes weren't fresh. The spicy salmon was incredibly fresh, the tuna was outstanding, and the sauce combinations? Absolute chef's kiss! The endlessly customizable bowls were a treat. The dude behind the counter had generous hands, loading up our bowls way beyond what we expected. A total and very welcome surprise! We couldn't wait to dig in, so we grabbed one of the tables right there and made it our pre-adventure fuel stop. The space is cozy and laid-back. There were a few tables, a water dispenser, and just the right noise level for easy conversation. It's the kind of spot that's small but mighty. We are absolutely coming back. Poke

The purity rep was super patient - going over the different products with us and even gifting us with a little gift set and out with purchase. Michelle helped us with figuring out concealer color and breaking the tie in lip color. We ended up getting two drawings because of our purchase. On to the rest of the store. We got lunch boxes and they were meh. I like the banchan and the quantity of food, but the protein dishes were lacking in freshness - the eel was better than the kalbi, which was just lackluster at best. Will go for the sushi next time. I did score black rice and toasted black sesame seeds along with rice paper. And the gluten free baked goods of course. Until next time!
