Jenn was incredibly easy to work with and took the time to help us create the perfect menu for both events. She offered suggestions based on guest favorites from other catered events while also helping us customize selections that reflected our family's tastes. From the passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour to the wedding dinner reception, every item was delicious, beautifully presented, and received rave reviews from our guests. What truly set Blawenburg apart was the exceptional service. The staff was professional, attentive, and organized. It felt like we were working with a top-tier full-service catering company. We chose to provide our own linens, flatware, and décor, and the team handled everything seamlessly. At the end of the evening, they carefully packed everything for us, including personalized decorations and special items. As the mother of the bride, I expected to spend the day worrying about details, but instead I felt completely taken care of. The texture reminded me of a bread pudding, and crusty bread. It needed more of a vanilla flavoring. Filled Caramel Corn ($4) - This had sweet corn custard, caramel topping, and caramel popcorn. The custard was great. It appeared heavy when picking up, but that was not the case at all. The caramel topping reminded me of a crème brulee. The popcorn pieces were a little stale, but not a big deal. I liked the donut texture as well. Banana pudding ($4) - This was very tasty. We are so lucky that the bakery we found was La Bella Cakery! They were so nice, friendly, and accommodating, but even that took a backseat to the main event: the cake! It was incredible. Moist, delicious, creative, beautiful! The inside layers were all rainbow-colored, each with a corresponding layer of flavor to go with it. For example, the red layer had strawberries and the yellow had lemon curd. At the end of the night, we even scavenged the leftover crumbs when all of the cake had been cut because throwing them away seemed like such a waste of something so amazing. We are so grateful for La Bella Cakery! They are artists who use flour and eggs as their medium.
