I like this little place. It is in an odd shopping center, but even more reason to give them a go. They have tasty looking desserts and other edible items. Today, I went there for 1 reason: macarons! I love French macarons and couldn't wait to try PB's. They only have a few flavors so I grabbed a strawberry and what I think was vanilla. They were $1.50 each and definitely bite sized. They were ok. I didn't really taste much flavor. They were pretty soft., and didn't have much filling. I also picked up a chocolate cupcake. That monster was only $2.50! I love the Paris Baguette chain, but don't like this store in Fullerton. Their cake was not fresh. I asked whether the cake was made within the same day when picked it up, they told me yes. Haven't used yelp in a while but I'm on because the customer service was superb !! I came back from the restroom and the girl in black with long hair kayla has brought us our drinks to the table ! This location use to be awesome!! But now they don't have anything appetizing. Isn't the cronut your stamp pastry?! Every time I call ahead they say they don't have them, then I ask for their famous chocolate cream donut with the strawberry and they say, "um we don't make those anymore." The worst! The parking lot became crowded because of the Arirang market that opened up... this plaza used to be a dead-weight for as long as I can remember... I only got a hot jasmine tea so I can't review much on the quality of pastries but all Paris Baguette's pastries are above average so I will assume the same (hopefully...). The tea was fairly good and we were drinking tea in my car because the air-conditioning was going to make the two of us freeze in our seats. They do not have baguette sandwiches. I went in and asked if they had ham and swiss sandwiches (as they do in Paris) and the girl at the front literally looked at me like I was speaking another language. We visited last evening. What a nice place! The pace was leisurely. The choices were lovely and it was a great little find, tucked way into an old strip mall. We had several different pastries, including almond French toast, apple strudel, rice doughnut and a little vanilla pudding, which is in a bottle. The cakes are beautiful! I still love this place but I went inside to get a treat for myself and this really sweet blonde worker dropped a baquette on the floor and asked her boss if she could put it back for people to still eat it? Located in a really ghetto, crowded parking lot with people who don't know how to drive. The store itself is clean, organized, with a wide selection of pastries. However, looks are all theres to it. Iced Coffee - $2 for this dinky little thing, strong flavor but way way waaay too sweet. Eclair - Dry as hell, flavorless whipped cream. I prefer custard. Strawberry Cream Puff - Dry, subtle strawberry flavored whipped cream with fresh strawberries - probably the one that was ok. Cheesecake - almost $7, about 5 inch round, 2 inches tall. Dry, flavorless and terrible. I understand that asian cheesecake is different, but it should still be moist and fluffy in texture, not like a dry pound cake. Cannelle - Dry, flavor was ok. I've had fresh ones and this is nothing like it. Another review mentioned Portos. This place cannot compare to Portos. I would definitely recommend the shaved ice with fruit toppings! Satisfied my craving! It is cold in there though. I also tried some pastries that were pretty good! Chocolate, strawberry, apple, all had flakey crusts and good flavor. I tried the cheesecake bar once and thought it was okay. It's not like a regular cheesecake, its fluffier. Worst customer service ever..the employees always look like they are confused and have no sense. I arrived at the bakery before work at their posted opening time because I wanted to take some pastries to my coworkers. Of course there were employees standing around acting like they didnt see me and the other three people standing at the door 15 minutes past posted opening time. An employee finally shuffled their feet over to the door and unlocked it with a straight face..no greeting ..no smile..no apology for not opening on time she just turned around and walked away. Nothing was on display yet and we were all standing around with our tray and tongs while their slowest employee proceeded to fill in the breads..it would have been nice to ask the people who were clearly all dressed for work what they were waiting for so we could get our breads and get to work but they obviously have no sense.
