Cake was frozen and dry. Disappointed in the cake, I thought it would be fresh not frozen.

Well, I was super excited to try this place. Everyone has been talking about it, opened just a little bit before Covid hit. It was packed. I asked for 2 almond milk lattes. Waited longer than usual as the staff figured out who makes what of the orders they had. I also ordered 2 different egg sandwiches. Those go in the toaster oven as they are pre-made. Person calls out 2 lattes. I asked if they were made with almond milk. Confusion amongst them, chatter, looking the order and yes, I had ordered them with almond milk. While they remake those, I get the 2 eggs HOT sandwiches. Took a bite at the table while waiting for the right coffees. Cold!! Cold eggs inside the 2 thin layers of croissant. Maybe the egg muffin is hot? Nope. Cold! The bread was warm but everything inside is cold. Took them back in and asked them to re-warm them. Guy is super nice and gives me 2 new ones. Got the coffees in the meantime. I'm back and forth the store and outside table like 7 times doing this. Get second set of eggs sandwiches and nope! Same coldness as the others. Maybe the top layer of the English muffin was a little warmer which made me think they were hot this time. I gave up. Didn't finish eating them. Too bad. Wasted. Went back in to get pastries to take home. Dry. They are ok but nothing at all what I expected from a bakery that's supposed to be good. They have been opened for months so they should figure this out pretty quickly. I don't think I'll go back. Maybe just for coffee but there are so many coffee places around. Ugh! Sorry guys. So I'm in love!!! This place is my all time fave French bakery ever! The selection alone sets them apart from all others. They have sandwiches, the have grab and go baked good, baguettes, cream puffs, drinks, macaroons, whole cakes, cake slices, coffee, spritzers, and I'm sure I forgot something. Needless to say they have all you could want at your finger tips. I walked in and grabbed a lemon cream filled donut(bomb), cream puffs (delicious), a slice of strawberry cream cake (will update), an almond croissant (beautiful), and a strawberry and lemon mini croissant. I'm in heaven!!! I will definitely be back because there's so much more I want to try including their heavenly cheesecake which is reminiscent of a Japanese cheesecake. Lucky me, this cute Korean cafe chain opened up recently right next to my work building! The cafe design is modern and minimalistic; right up my alley! They carry a large variety of coffee, tea, pastries, cakes, and evens daily soups and grab n go sandwiches targeted towards the office crowd and residents at The Boro. The pastries are a bit pricey but the quality is good. I'd come here to grab something if I forget to bring my own breakfast pastry, want a quick sandwich for lunch, or have a craving for a slice of cake to treat myself. Their cakes aren't sweet at all so it's definitely catered more towards the Asian palate. I also enjoyed the Japanese cheesecake, but the sticker on the bottom indicates that it's distributed from CA (aka. prefrozen and not freshly made), not a big deal to me as long as it tastes good. read more

Ordered online a couple days ahead of time for 2 different cakes for pickup in store. The blueberry yogurt cake was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet. The mocha cake had a decadent chocolate and coffee flavor, the cookies were a little soggy but it might've been because the cake was prepared ahead of time. Since these were birthday cakes, appreciated how they provided candles and placed a chocolate bar on the cake that says happy birthday upon request! Nicely packaged too, the box had a plastic holder in the center that made sure the cake wouldn't shift on transport. read more

Paris Baguette recently opened close to my wife's work so we decided to stop by. The bakery is Korean owned so you also have the option of having some Asian desserts (red bean ice cream). You get a tray and load it up with the most amazing looking desserts and breads. We got some mini croissants, a hot dog wrapped in puff pastry, and a macaron. Everything was good but I expect it would be that much better recently made (we went in the evening). I will definitely be coming back to try a slice of cake and buy more macarons, which are a bit pricey but so darn good! Street parking is available and there is a little parking area past the bakery but be prepared to drive around a couple of times if it's super busy! read more

Updated: I'd like to add that the 7$ americano (hot water and espresso) was made from the same machine that airlines use in their executive lounges. Traditionally, espresso is ground fine coffee made per shot and poured with a specific temperature drained for a select amount of time. About 6-10 seconds. None of the above occurs here. I'd also like to add that many other premium coffee shops (I live in rosslyn) allow indoor seating. Lastly, I was standing and eating the 7$ 3oz dry cake. To date, I have published 6 reviews on Yelp. Careful folks! So I walked in here after doing some physical therapy. I was eager to try a new coffee spot. The cashier was great and I asked her what her favorite dessert was. I got an americano and a slice of cake (prolly 3 oz) for about 14$. Nowadays it's expected. Since I was having physical therapy I specifically asked if it was okay to eat quickly here, as is customary, and the restaurant being open with no guests I went to the furthest corner of coffee shop maintain social distancing. I was about 25 feet away from the nearest person. The cake was awful. It was mushy and not sweet. So high price, I even tipped them, and they were rude and confront There are other premium coffee shops that allow social distance eating. It's a trying time for restaurants during these unprecedented times. Customer service and product value are critical. This was the rainbow cake. read more

My favorite bakery near me! I come hear way too often and even during quarantine I often pick up breads or ask them to deliver. My absolute favorites are the twist donuts, almond croissant, sweet rice donut, and tiramisu cups. Everything is always spot on in terms of both flavor and quality. There's absolutely no criticism I can think of for this place. How have I never been here!? It is delightful.. and open late! It's a great place for a quick breakfast, a tasty lunch, or a late night snack. Came here with some coworkers for a quick escapade into trying out the new cafe on the block. I was pleasantly surprised with the items that this place had to offer as the pastries and food all looked extremely appetizing and the various beverages all looked great as well. I settled on getting a pastry that had red bean and cream which was delightful. The fillings were a nice balance where the red bean flavor was present and enhanced by the well leveled sweetness of the cream. I think the most notable thing for me of the place was the amazing smell you get to experience when you open the pastry display to grab your choice. That being said, while this place is a nice addition it is also quite average in terms of competition that exists in nearby areas in general. A lot of other cafes and bakeries are just as good, not necessarily better but Paris Baguette does not do anything to make itself stand out to me. I'm giving this 3 stars but seriously. Go here! You can't go wrong with it, it's just 3 stars because it really is average but it's average against places that are all really good to begin with so I can't recommend it over others but I'd 100% recommend. read more

This bakery is so cute! We celebrated my parents' anniversary a few weekends ago and I decided to give Paris Baguette a try. We pre-ordered a cake a few days before, and let me tell you, you should be on it because certain items sell out quickly! I wanted to order the Blueberry Chiffon cake, however, it had sold out by the time I was ordering, so we ended up getting the Mango Coconut cake instead. Even though it wasn't my first choice, we were not disappointed! The cake was so delicious! It was light and fluffy, full of coconut and mango flavors. The inside had pieces of cut mangos in it as well. My family loved the cake and I'll definitely order from them again! read more

It's a newly opened pastry/cafe place located in a commercial building. It offers variety food such as: pastries, cakes, coffee, tea and sandwiches and hot soup. They also offers frosty things like ice pop and boxed desserts. The food was very good and looked very pretty. The cafe is nice enough and the coffee itself is passable. They have a tendency to serve the milk about 10 degrees too hot compared to better coffee shops like Northside Social or Peregrine Espresso. Baristas need more training. The biggest fault with this location is the parking which is extremely limited and always full of employees vehicles. The same cars are there almost everyday and most of the time. Most days I'll pass by wanting to get some coffeethere, but see no parking and will just go to the Starbucks across the street instead. It was freezing outside and they blocked most of the seating inside and we had small kids and had to sit outside and eat/drink quickly since it was so cold. We were very much looking forward to frequenting this establishment, as we are always looking for a good coffee shop and pastries and this is relatively close to our home! Especially since Paul's recently closed down in the mall! Unfortunately, the past three times we have visited Paris Baguette, we have been disappointed to find that each time the establishment has chosen to serve patrons without masks. In fact, there have been droves of up to 6 adults within the shop without masks at any given time. This not only endangers the health and safety of other patrons, but also the employees, and more importantly the greater community. This is not only unlawful but unacceptable for us as members of this community. I'm saddened by this establishment's lack of adherence to both the letter of the law but also the current CDC guidelines. Reluctantly, and as much as I would have loved to keep coming back, we have to find another place for our coffee and pastry fix. read more

I was like a kid in a candy store! This was my first visit and I was impressed and amazed by the large selection of croissants and like pastries. There were so many unique combinations of fillings, toppings and sandwiches. I felt like I was in NYC. I got a cream croissant with peanut topping (never saw anything like this before) and it was slightly sweet and delicious. Better even was the ham, swiss and egg croissant sandwich they heated for us. My husband and I split it. The pastry was very flaky and flavorful. I cautiously order a black iced tea - I don't like when tea is too tannic. It was perfect and my husband said his hazelnut coffee was better than most. It had an exceptional smell. We got 2 other types of pastries to take home and try later. I have visited the newly opened one few times at Bora Tyson's Corner. It's always packed with customers. However, I was shocked to see many people inside the bakery without wearing masks and the staff didn't do anything about it. According to the phase 3 reopening, people are requested to wear masks indoor which obviously not happened in this bakery. read more

This place specializes in baked goods. Some of their croissants are at a different level, especially the ones filled with matcha cream or coconut cream. They have savory baked products which look yummy. Ice coffee is made well. I have bought several cakes here for various occasions and they all have been delicious. I recommend this place. read more

This place is a mega chain - I remembered that the first one I went to was in California, and had fallen in love with their light fluffy breads and not too sweet fillings. This location is no different - pretty consistent breads, cakes, and sandwiches. I really like their bread loaves, and would usually get a loaf to take home for the week. Their custard and red bean breads are also good sweet breads - not too sweet, and the break is nice and soft. Their cakes are also good - the cake itself is just OK in my opinion, but their buttercream is really good so makes up a bit for their cake. We've tried a lot of their other things too - hotdog buns, croissant donuts, mochi donuts, etc. - none of these really stand out to me, and there are better places for those sweets. But for the variety and being able to quickly pick something up, I frequent this place quite often for breakfast and sometimes lunch. read more
