    The fun team!!!

The location and a quick place to get coffee and either breakfast or lunch. The employee s (Jan, Milkana, and Nargess) are the best! And the food is good, too.

Tiny cafe at the corner of the INOVA building. It's a narrow corridor with few seats indoors and a couple outdoor tables. I stumbled upon this as we tried to find new brunch places in our area - it's less than a 5 min drive from home and we can bring our fur babies. It's actually a bit too cold now to be outside but I did notice they have ceiling furnaces so hopefully they'll turn those on soon. The food is fresh and tastes homemade. Some of their things seem to sell out which is understandable at its small size. Their coffee is delicious and the staff have been pleasant to deal with. Their bakery items are so good! I ask them to heat it up and they happily obliged. I always get their low carb feta Turkey avocado wrap and it's never failed to fill me up. The simple cheese panini also seems to be my mom's go to now- she loves how "clean" everything tastes. I have to agree! I'll be back to try their other items.

Decided to final stop by after my appointment

The Cinnabon was so damn good, I plan on trying the one with pecans next. And the breakfast burrito was hot and filling. I left my appointment and was starving and wanted a quick bite before a ventured on with my journey. This spot did the job. However, I would have like a warm greeting and acknowledgement when I walked in as it was not busy. The place is super cute and I wish the mood of the employees lived up to the hype if the ambiance.

"Not your average Lemon Bar." Very lemony. Warning: it will scorch the lining in your mouth.

They serve Illy coffee. Very mild roast. If you prefer dark roast this is not your option. Large cup $4. Good selection of baked goods including breakfast burritos. Free parking in the lot.

    Black Forest cake- amazing.

The best pastries in McLean. Just love Sweetbites. Their cakes are so delicious. They bake all of our family birthday cakes!!

Can't count on fingers and toes how many mouthwatering pastries I've had (veggie quiches, pumpkin whoopie pies, fruit tart, foccacia bread, chocolate chip scones, chocolate chip cookies, brookie, keylime pie, toffee pudding, strawberry cream cake, S'mores brownie, peanut butter brownie, gluten-free brownie, and a dozen different types of cupcakes...nom nom nom!)! The unique selection of sweet and savory treats is impressive and always keeps me guessing! There's always so much to choose to from and the daily selection is always different. My favorite sweet treats: tangy Key Lime Pie, Pina Colada Cupcakes, scrumptious Chocolate Chip Cookie, slice of heaven strawberry cream cake, moist lemon poppy seed bread, decadent S'mores brownie and Peanut butter brownie, and best of all Brookie (brownie + cookie). The pastries are fresh, moist, and truly a sweet bite! The only things that I wouldn't recommend is the dry and stale quiches, focaccia bread, and vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough cupcakes. As cupcakes were the bread and butter of the Sweetbites food truck, they are a side piece at the bakery and nice to see the shop expand with a variety of sweet and savory pastries, breakfast burritos, and sandwiches. The cafe is now open on Saturdays too (8am - 3pm), excited to bring my hubby! Sandra, the owner, is passionate and just as sweet as her decadent baked goods. So glad she opened up this cute cafe in McLean right near me! Tucked inside Inova medical building, Sweetbites is truly a hidden gem with lots of sweet bites to offer!

This a small cafe with a lot of baked goods! The selection is wide consisting from strawberry tarts to quiches to croissants and cookies. The chocolate chip scone is pretty good, tasting like a chocolate chip cookie with the texture of a biscuit.. the strawberry scone is my favorite but it's maybe a once a week occurrence on the menu! A slight strawberry flavor with a crumbly texture ~so gooood. I wish they had fruit flavored scones more often tho :/ I came here for lunch with a friend and we both got pesto paninis which were crispy but a little too salty for me. The workers were really friendly here and the cafe smells so goood because of all the baking happening.

SWEETBITES a great place to pick up lunch or an afternoon coffee, and even open on holidays!!!!! Thank you to the friendly staff.

Even during COVID this place is great! And the bakery smell fills the whole first floor of the building, wonderful.

Turkey and Brie sandwich with apples and avocado! AMAZING!!!!

Adorable place. Excellent food. Great service! Everything is homemade and delicious! Will definitely be back!! Thanks for the amazing food!

I ordered a sandwich and wanted to make it a combo but they only do it with fries, no chips. For most, thats an awesome deal - I just personally wanted chips. They have the fancier drinks and not your typical soda options so keep this in mind. My roasted turkey sandwich was $14.95 to start, and toppings like pepper relish cost extra (I feel like a spread should not be half a dollar but sure). Meat quality was good and bread felt fresh but just a little hard to chew. For basically 16$, there was only two thin slices of provolone. Compared to some of the photos I saw, the sandwich was a bit lacking on the toppings of meat/cheese. People super friendly and service was quick. They had tons of desserts, pasta salad, and a few actual pasta dishes on the menu too. I'll have to come in to give them a try for a cheesesteak or the caesar salad wrap next.

The roll was reminiscent of a Philly sub roll, which - now this may be polarizing - is the standard by which I judge all sub rolls. Philadelphia just has the best subs ;) Anyway - they use good deli meats here. I don't think they make their own fries, but they were nice and crispy with a bit of seasoning on them and went well with our sandwiches. My husband had the cheesesteak and said it was just meh - definitely steak-ums - but we are from the self-proclaimed cheesesteak capital of the world :) Don't pass up the dessert case though - I am not a sweets person, but they had this triple cheese thing that was like a cheese danish, but with a million times more cheese and just a little bit of pastry, we... uhhh... devoured it... It paired really nice with their house chocolate gelato, which was the definition of rich, decadent chocolate. The lady at the register was kind enough to allow us to try a side-by-side of the house and the machine gelato... word of advice... skip the machine, go with the house gelato - the flavor (and the serving size) knocks that name-brand, machine mumbo jumbo out of the park :) Honestly, just a great sandwich joint with a little store selling specialty items, many of which are from Italy (I will be back for some squid ink pasta the next time I am cooking for friends!). Lovely little gem :)

That's the level of consistency and quality he brings every time. Great customer service is one thing, but consistently making drinks this good is a skill. For Valentine's Day, the Linzer sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam was delicious! So glad I grabbed the last one by 11am on Saturday! For Mother's Day, there were colorful macaroons. All of the fillings with the donuts and croissants are whipped and pretty light. There's a parking garage next door and you can get parking validated for 1 hour. While there's plenty of seating inside, it can get packed over the weekends. There's no outdoor seating (there's some makeshift seating around the high-rise building). Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh.
