Paris Baguette is a trendy spot for some tasty treats. They offer fantastic finger foods and prepackaged sandwiches to-go when you're on the move. They're good for a morning baguette to an evening slice of dessert. The menu and food options available however can be a somewhat limited selection, and many of the items are an acquired taste. The Paris Baguette's in the city are awesome but this one is lacking. They offered 'Buy 1, Get 1' ice cream and the Manager argued with me that the signage was wrong. They are poorly staffed. Wait times are long. The staff doesn't seem to know what they're doing. It's like they never got any training. Some pastries are good like croissants but others are too junky, dry, or sweet. The taste and flavor one has come to expect from Paris Baguette. I had an almond danish with a cream filled middle portion, and a cheese filled danish topped with strawberries. The almond danish had a flaky, yet crisp, exterior with a rich creamy interior - 9/10. The cheese filled danish had incredibly flavorful cream, with fresh, ripe strawberries that blended in perfectly with the danish, rather than seeming as an afterthought - 10/10. Became so engaged in eating that I forgot to take a picture lol. Definitely will be visiting again when in the area. read more

I got their regular ice coffee which had curd like thing on the top so I pointed this out to see if I can get a fresher coffee. The lady said that the curd like thing is natural because they use heavy cream. I was exhausted from the heat outside so I stopped questioning and left the store trying to trust what she said. It was a huge mistake. After sipping a few times, my stomach is so upset. Pretty sure she gave me something that was spoiled. Honestly the worst Paris baguette I've been to. The staff are soo rude. I placed an order through phone and really they charged me $50 for a cake when I'm other stores the cakes are $38. So I called them to cancel the order and the indian guy that picked up was so rude and he said I have to come in person to cancel my order. So the next day I go there and they said I didn't need to come and that they can just void it. Needless to say I never got my money back!!!! SO I NEVER GOT THE CAKE OR MY MONEY. read more

Always fresh pastries no matter what time of day you go in. Breakfast sandwiches are warm and fresh daily. Everything I've had is tasty. I also love their baguettes. The service is always friendly as well. They definitely beat out the local small bakeries in quality and freshness. read more

July 24, 2021 will mark my first and last time visiting this location. I walked in a little after 6AM to have a look around, as some of the items caught my eye. After about 5 minutes in the store, an Indian man, who is apparently the owner, walked up to me and asked if he could help. I explained to him that it was my first time there. He proceeded to try selling me on some of the items, but I calmly explained to him that I could read the labels on my own. He left me alone for a while, but would return later to demand that I leave. He claimed that he was checking on how long I was in there for, and that the amount of time I spent deciding made him nervous. He even went so far as to insinuate that I may be some sort of inspector and that I was scaring away other patrons. I'm not sure whether there was an undercurrent of racial or ethnic bias behind his words, but nevertheless, I kept my cool, calmly explaining to him that I was still deciding on what I wanted to buy and that I usually make notes to myself; for both immediate and future purchases. I even showed him my notes. This didn't seem to matter to him. He retorted that no one puts in a great deal of thought in what they purchase, they just walk in and buy whatever without really thinking. I didn't bother arguing with him or protesting. I simply acquiesced to his demands, leaving without incident. On the plus side, the setting had nice visual aesthetics and my experience with the actual workers in the store wasn't anything to complain about. Whenever I had questions about any of the items (e.g. What's the difference between the almond croissant and the almond pastry?), they were able to answer without getting annoyed or frustrated. It's a little unfortunate, as I had my eyes set on several selections (i.e. the sweet potato pastry, the almond pastry, the twisted donut, the pineapple brûlée pastry, the whole red bean bread, the choux cream bread, the curry croquette, the crab meat croquette, the multigrain bread, and the milk bread); but I'm no fan of being led, pushed, bullied, or coerced into decisions that I haven't put a great deal of thought into. read more

I lived in Korea for a long time so I am extremely familiar with PB and the expected quality level as well as product range. This branch was disappointing in flavor and also selection. There's literally 2 barren shelves and not enough of the hot selection. Nowhere near as clean as other branches. If it were a normal cafe, I'd be less bothered, but they don't measure up to the PB name and it's sad. read more

Glad to have a cafe that is open 24 hrs, but not particularly impressed with food, drinks or service -Though often crowded, the venue is well-lit with ample seating. Definitely a great place to work -Unfortunately, on numerous occasions I've found myself having trouble connecting to the Wi-fi. Such a great addition to the neighborhood. Very clean and cozy. Quality products and quick service. Coffee is very good and nice people.

This is the first Paris Baguette that I was aware of, much less visited and ultimately frequented. It has in short order become my favorite cafe in the ditmars section of Astoria, having quickly supplanted the corner Starbucks in my estimation. It is a large, well lit space which is kept tidy; music is of course in the background, contributing to the atmosphere, and never a source of distraction. The staff is always pleasant, and responsive to customer input. I only deduct a star because sometimes I sense orders at the counter are not being quickly enough, and have on two occasions witnessed a customer quitting her place on line after what I assume she felt to be an excessive delay. Perhaps this is strictly a function of not having yet fielded a team of seasoned baristas. I want this location to be successful, so if this is indeed a shortcoming, I'd like them to correct it as fast as possible. The coffee business is cutthroatingly competitive, and a well-established Starbucks on the corner chugs tirelessly along, looking to see this challenger fail. Viva Paris Baguette!! read more

I was super excited to see they finally opened in my area, so when my co-workers birthday came along I dropped in to place an order. Staff was helpful and processed my order quickly. I went in this morning to pick up the cake and it looked great! I didn't get the name of the person who helped me this morning, but he was very nice and courteous. He let me see the cake before he packaged it away for me, and even gave me a plastic cutting knife and candles. I will definitely be back :) read more

I have been to other Paris baguettes and was looking forward to one opening up in Astoria. But this location is lackluster due to how poorly run and inexperienced the management is. I have been waiting for this place to open for months now and I was very excited when it did. However I was very disappointed with the quality of their pastries and drinks. Avoid their bubble tea. It's literally a tea bag with water and stale bubbles which results to a run down disgusting drink. The sandwiches in the fridge are stale. I was excited when this opened but when I checked the bread, there was mold on one of the packages. I told the guy at the register. But that made me wonder if the rest of the stuff was fresh. I mean the place just opened, how could there be old stuff there. I thought they would do all the fresh baking on the premises. After I saw the mold I just left right away. I don't usually do reviews unless it's something worth commenting on. So here we are. The day before this establishment closed due to Covid-19, I came in for bread rolls for my kids. After paying I asked to leave my bread at the counter while I used the restroom before leaving. He said it was fine. So I waited for the person that's was currently inside. Then the manager lady started giving me attitude and saying I shouldn't be using the restroom. Rolling her eyes and everything. There was no sign that it was closed to customers since this is ALWAYS open to customers. And I had the ok from the clerk. I had to take the bus home and knew I needed to use the restroom before my 20 min ride. She goes on to tell me that I wasn't even wearing gloves and that someone the other day laid a big one and they had to clean it up. Correct me if I am wrong, but if you work at a sit in bakery, the employees are bound to have to clean the restroom. She asked me who was gonna clean it up if I made a mess. Wow! I just had to pee. Never had a bad experience until that manager lady came up to me that day. Really unprofessional. read more

I am so happy I can walk to this place and enjoy all their DELICIOUS pastries, in particular the croissants and creme-filled danishes and absolute BEST COFFEE in Astoria. Lately, I've tried a few of their sandwiches to go, my favorites are the Tuna and Turkey baguette sandwiches, YUMMY. Great price too at $6.50 and $1 for any iced drink (special after 11). The only reason not 5 stars is that it would be nice to have the sandwiches out earlier in the day to take along with me to work which has not always been the case. read more

It's a convenient location, definitely my go to spot in Astoria now before I hop on the train. The lines aren't too long, I usually come in the morning. The location's 24/7 however... a new paris baguette has opened on 31st in astoria and it's safe to say that i like what's available .from the sweet cakes and pastries , soups , salads , sandwiches hot and cold drinks you have plenty of choices .it's fairly new so the place is bright and clean with its modern decor and plenty of space with tables and chairs in the back , it's open 24/7 and i can only assume that some characters will stop by after midnight for dessert and coffee. i ordered a hot chocolate and some danish looking pastry which was ok but nothing really amazing . time will tell if a chain business like paris baguette will work in this part of astoria but they are plenty around the united states so they must doing something right . as the weather gets colder i wouldn't mind getting some soup which from my past visits to the manhattan locations have been always good and hearty . overall a welcome addition to astoria . read more
