My wife and I were in town for a long weekend of Gator sports. As we packed up our things Sunday early afternoon we wanted to grab something quick before we headed home. We went to Vietnam a couple years ago and now anytime she has a chance to get Banh Mi she does. We'd been here before but I think they recently added the Korean sticks to the menu. I always get a #1 without cilantro or mayo. They haven't messed it up yet. Pate is not really an American thing but it's a good combination. There's a dark sauce they put on the sandwich too which is really good. There's are freshly sliced jalapeños so take note if you don't like spicy. They are very thinly sliced so it's not overwhelming but there's a little kick. My wife got a sandwich but also tried one of the Korean sticks. She got the stick without a hotdog. It was basically a block of cheese coated in diced potatoes, kind of like frozen breakfast potatoes you can get at the grocery store. They deep fry it so the cheese is completely melted. I think she's glad she tried it, but I don't think she was impressed. We'll just stick to Banh Mi next time. read more

Meh, I'm from Orlando and have been to the other PBM. Thinking this may have been the same owners, I ventured here. It took a while for anyone to greet me to take my order but after I ordered it did come relatively quickly. Not as fast as other banh mi places though. The banh mi itself was probably the worst one I have ever had. The bread tasted refrigerated and was very chewy. It actually took a lot of effort for me to bite and chew it. Definitely not good eats. I saw great reviews for this place on Yelp so I figured I would come try it out. There were lots of snacks and other pantry good available to buy, but I was pretty hungry so I went straight to ordering a B1 banh mi and a taro milk tea. My sandwich came out quickly in just a few minutes, but after about 15 minutes, I figured I should go ask about my drink since it had still not arrived. It turns out the order had gotten lost, which was a bit odd since there weren't many other people ordering at the time. Overall, the banh mi was a bit different from a traditional banh mi, but it was definitely tasty, from the nice, warm baguette to the flavorful meat. My drink, however, left much to be desired in terms of taste and texture once it finally did arrive. A really cute bakery in Gainesville with a wide selection of Banh Mi, baked goods, deserts, teas/coffees as well as Vietnamese snacks. I got the B5 and thought it was delicious. Good value, generous serving and it came quick. The baguette was warm and soft on the inside but toasty and crispy crust (but not too crispy, where it leaves your mouth chapped!). The filling was a littler sweeter than what I'm used to, but tasty nonetheless. I got the sea salt coffee at the recommendation of the owner, which was also tasty. We came in on a rainy day and no one else was here besides us. Since it was our first time dining here, we ordered through the self ordering kiosk to better see the images of the items we want. I ordered a beef pho (~$14) and requested extra meat for an upcharge (~$2.5). I also ordered Paris milk tea special with boba. We got the food at a reasonable amonut of time. However eventhough I asked for extra meat still it felt like there isn't enogh meat even for a regular order. Since it was my first time here I wasn't sure if that's how much they serve in each portion. Besides that both pho and the drink were delicious and I really enjoyed the flavors. We came in after a month and this time ordered a pate bahn mi and a Ramen. The orderd was delayed and we got the ramen first then after 15 minutes got the Ramen. We'd rather have both of them at the same time to eat together. They were both delicious but Ramen had much smaller portion compared to their Pho. So if you are really humgry pho might be a better option. We came in for the third time, again ordered pho and bahn mi. Again the order was delayed and came at a different time. So one us was eating and the other one watching! This time I didn't ask for extra meat but somehow I got more meat that the first time I asked for it. Also the vahn mi didnt taste as fresh as last time. The pate was alittle bit stinky. While I like this restaurant a lot but the lack of consistency and order management makes me give them 3 stars. read more

This would be a spot I could live at if I lived anywhere near UF! Located directly across from the campus in the bottom floor of an apartment complex, this place was a jewel to find. My kids were excited just to see a boba tea spot so close to our hotel. We walk in, & I am doubly excited to see all the Vietnamese flavors offered in the convenient style ala hoagie shop. They offer counters full of Asian snacks and some local pastries along side a pork bánh mi! Service was very friendly. Bathrooms and cafe are clean, spacious, and bright. We only ordered boba teas this time, and they were beautifully made and delicious! Only wish there was a way to be little more earth friendly with these drinks! The cups are really high quality here, so I wish we could reuse these. We bring our own straws to save the turtles, but surely we can do more. read more

After many weeks of hearing great things about this place, I KNEW I had to come visit another great Vietnamese restaurant! I've visited two times already before this review, and both visits were amazing! Right off the bat, the interior was bright and roomy. We didn't have to wait long at all, as the food and drinks came out super fast. Both times, I got the usual -- the Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng (grilled pork) and a Peach Black Tea with boba! The sandwich was so yummy, and the meat was juicy and warm while the baguette was perfectly crispy and light. The tea was super refreshing and paired along quite nicely with the sandwich! Great and friendly service. Surprised they've only been open a year considering. I had the munchies and stopped by with my bf . I tried the potato dog and the red velvet cheesecake. The cheesecake was creamy and moist , a little dense. The Korean corn dog was amazing and came out hot. They give you what seems to be a half sweet sour half sriracha Mayo sauce. The potatoes on it were perfectly crunchy and I was scared that the potatoes would be too crunchy considering how tiny they are on the dog but they fried it perfectly . The Bahn Mi was amazing! The grilled pork was flavored perfectly with the crunch of the pickled veggies complimenting it. I devoured it before I could remember to take a picture! Paris Banh Mi will always have a special place in my heart. I was very happy to see that Gainesville had a location since the one in my previous town closed. Paris Banh Mi is located in the heart of downtown near UF and parking is a pain but for their Banh Mi? Totally worth the hassle. Parking at Publix is your best bet. My go to here is always the grilled pork banh mi, extra mayo, extra soy sauce, extra sour veggies, extra cilantro. The pork is so flavorful and they are not selfish with the servings. The bread is warm, the sour veggies adds a nice texture, and that mayo? It's amazing. Their boba tea is also very delicious and this location has hot dogs! I tried the half potato and half mozzarella and it was bit dry. Next time I'll add sauce on it but the concept is dope and it's very crunchy. I have never been to a Paris Banh Mi where the owners and staff isn't kind. This location was no different. I highly recommend this place. read more

I decided to try Paris Banh Mi today, and I was incredibly pleased. The customer service was great, with friendly staff members to greet you. The options seem plentiful from Vietnamese sandwiches, burgers, Boba tea, bakery items, and dessert. The prices are also very reasonable as well. I decided to order the Pate Steamed Pork (Banh Mi Pate Thit Do). I was incredibly satisfied with the portion size, and taste of the sandwich. The ingredients tasted very fresh, and the flavor was incredibly rich. In terms of price point, the price was comparable to Publix subs. I would hands down prefer to order another sandwich from here! I went during intersession, so the restaurant was empty. I also know that it recently opened. I hope to see more people try out Paris Banh Mi. You can't go wrong here. The food seems to be of great quality, and the prices are very reasonable. There a couple of Vietnamese Pho restaurants within a 10 minute radius, however, Paris Banh Mi fills a void through offering sandwiches and bakery options which campus has been lacking. I absolutely love this place. The Banh Mi here is amazing and has a wide selection. Boba drinks are also very great with chewy tapioca boba the way I like it. Pastries and Snacks are also available with some great dessert options in the cake display. They now also serve noodles and I had to try the Pho which was amazing. Fairly new and welcome spot under The Standard apts. Cute spot with amazing looking pastries, interesting snacks, various grab and go bread options along with their food and drink menu. Both the banh mi and grilled pork were delicious in very different ways. Not usually a huge banh mi fan but this one has made me a fan. The croissant was warm and buttery while the pork was flavorful and filling. The drinks were refreshing in this hot summer weather. Staff is very helpful with suggestions if you aren't sure what you want. Menu board prices are for cash, there is a small % extra if you pay by card. I don't usually write reviews but this place is shady. I ordered online thru their website and when I went to pick it up, they were closed. The sign on the door said they would be closed for the holiday but the dates showed it starting the next day. My order still went through and I got charged for it even though they were closed. Maybe it glitched or something, no big deal. I called them when they opened back up and they said they cleared it and I should see a refund, no prob. But then 2 weeks pass, no refund. My partner brings it up when he is in there and the owner literally laughed in his face. A week or 2 later, after still not being refunded, I called and they told me to come in for the refund. I get there and no one, including the owner, has any idea how to log into their system. They ended up telling me to just call my bank and dispute the charge. So basically, they charged me $30+ for nothing and after multiple calls, laughing in our face, and having me lug my baby across town for no reason they don't refund me or even just make the order, and tell me to dispute the charge so the bank has to pay me back. Anyways, the food is pretty mediocre. There are other restaurants in town with better banh mi's. Their corn dogs are a novelty so if you do decide to eat there, don't trust the online thing. read more

So excited about Paris Banh Mi opening in Gainesville! I went to their soft opening yesterday and got the special combo and Paris By Night boba. They serve burgers and croissant sandwiches as well. The place is spacious and there is plenty of seating available. Even though they were busy on their first day, the service was fast and efficient and we were able to get our orders within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was great! It was the perfect amount of bread, meat, veggies, and sauces. It was so good we went back later that night for a second round of Banh mis . Stopped by for a quick sandwich while driving to Sarasota. The restaurant would be easy to miss in a drive by but we are on the lookout, thanks to Yelp. My sandwich had all the traditional Bahn Mi fixings + pate. The pate added complexity to the layers of flavor in the traditional Bahn Mi. The pickled veggies were fresh and just the right amount of tangy. I asked for light jalapeño but recommend getting the regular amount for good balance in the flavor.
