Our 3 year old Dalmatian Blue absolutely loves everyone here. We have used Park Cities for boarding for a weekend get away and sometimes for 2 weeks at a time while we are out of state. We have consistently been taking our beloved Kobe, who is like our son, to PCOS for 4 years now. He absolutely loves it there and if he could have his way, he'd stay with the loving and wonderful staff instead of us. They are all amazing and cannot be applauded enough. This is why we are loyal clients. When we travel, we don't worry at all, knowing he is in safe hands. When we have hectic work schedules, we drop him off for "puppy camp" and have an exhausted happy pup once we pick him up. Sure, he sometimes comes home with a minor scrape or cut... but dogs are pack animals and meant to play and be together! Not locked up in a crate alone! If Kobe is happy, we are happy! My healthy 2.5 year old lab DIED at this daycare. They left a group of dogs unattended and another dog killed my dog. No one was there to intervene. A totally preventable death if they had just done what their website advertises- supervised play by trained experts. See attached photo with words highlighted. They told me it was because she was wearing a collar. All dogs on their website daycare section are wearing collars. See attached photos. Hallie was wearing a quick release with a name tag, which is required by a lot of daycares. It wouldn't have been an issue if the dogs were just being supervised like they are supposed to be. (See attached photo with highlighted words on their website) They also waited hours to take my dog's dead body to the vet. Her legs stiff, and her body warm.... Sickening. These people need to be shut down for negligence. They should not be allowed to care for animals. read more

We couldn't be happier with Park Cities Obedience School (PCOS)! Klode (pronounced like Chloè with a D) has been going here for years. Why are they the best? 1 - When you park to pick your dog up, they walkie talkie for your dog to be brought up front. Other places (including the large chains) take FOREVER to give you your dog back. I've felt on multiple occasions that my dog was being held hostage and that my time was of no concern at other places. 2 - They remember your dog by name, etc. At other places, I've been returned my dog and they say "He had fun today". Me thinking "Wow, SHE was here all day and you didn't notice she was a female?" 3 - Very warm, professional, and thankful staff.  Klode LOVES the staff! Sometimes I worry she loves them more than ME!   4 - Very reasonably priced, especially for the value. 5 - She NEVER stinks when I pick her up. 6 - Above and beyond customer service! 7 - Your dog isn't inside all day in a room with no windows. Love this place. The staff seems to really care about your dog, remembering facts about their day and always courteous (shout out to trevor who our hyper puppy adores!). Also offer bulk doggy day care discounts. We take our dogs here weekly after our german shepherd went to training (vet rec) here last year. One suggestion would be to get web cams so I can spy on my pups playing! read more

I cannot recommend this school highly enough! I have taken two obedience classes so far and the change in my dog has been amazing! The instructor really knows her stuff and is very good at explaining and showing all of us in class what to do (and she's funny!). She also goes above and beyond by answering everyone's questions about all sorts of issues with their dogs. She provides her cell number and is basically "on-call" to help everyone inbetween classes and beyond - that is unheard of and very cool. I will definitely attend the next class again to keep on improving with my baby and look forward to going on to advanced class. I have to disagree 100% with the review that someone named Larry posted here the other day. He can't be upset with the instructor because he didn't put in the time and effort working with his dog. She didn't criticize anybody - she offered advice to help them improve! She is very passionate about what she does and it shows. Also, daycare staff is very caring with my dog - they understand it is my baby that I entrusted into their care! It says alot about the place and people when you drop off your furbaby and they can't wait to get inside to play and they are so happy to be there. read more

Do not take your pet to Park Cities Obedience School!! We took our Boxer to them for their two-week Board & Train program. We ended up having to pull him out 10-days into it because of several injuries. He has multiple holes in the back of his neck, one side of his face is open/raw, he had a severe allergic reaction, and his hind leg was hurt and he couldn't walk. And a day later he started vomiting blood and had to be hospitalized for two days. Our vet bills are over $2,000 and they are denying any wrongdoing. We believe they used a prong or shock collar on him. He is mutilated. They refuse to take responsibility for his injuries or pay for his vet bills. read more

Boarded our dog for Thanksgiving break. He survived and they didn't lose our reservation, and staff were friendly. HOWEVER, when we picked him up, the poor guy was filthy. We had to get him bathed immediately before taking him home since he smelled so bad! After we got home we realized we'd left his doggie bed behind. But no one ever even called us to return it. We had to call them the next day and someone actually took a while to "look for it". Then we had to actually ask them to launder it before we picked it up. Was no one keeping track of clients' items at all? They would've just kept the bed if we didn't think to call!! And then, the first time our dog pooped after coming back, he had diarrhea. We had made it very clear to ONLY feed him the food we sent because he has a sensitive tummy. Clearly no one was paying attention and he ate something he wasn't suppose to. We were very dissapointed by this place. We have boarded him somewhere else before that was much cheaper & much nicer (clean, no smells, kept track of all his belongings, gave us a report card, & washed his bed without prompting before pick-up). So, needless to say, NEVER AGAIN. There are way too many good options for boarding in DFW to be bothered with this place. read more

As if they needed another bad review, but... We signed up for the class, you pay for all 5 or 6 up front. We went, our dog hated it, the instructor gave zero personal attention to us, there were 12 people or so in the class, but our situation could have been addressed if only for a moment. During the class, the instructor did manage to say something offensive. After the class we went to the instructor, asked for help, she told us to take him to Home Depot, aka, get him out of the house, when we explained that we did that every day, she had nothing more to say. We asked for our money back because our dog has never reacted so negatively to a place. That part is not their fault, but it was going to be a waste of our money and time because our dog couldn't calm down (all the other dogs could, so this was obviously a unique situation). Not only did they they not give us a refund but they were rude, unprofessional, and did not apologize for the offensive comments they made. At this point they could keep their money, we just wanted out. read more

We LOVE PCOS!! We take our dogs here every time we need them boarded, and our large Alaskan Malamute had her training done here!! (Alaskan Malamutes are notorious for being nearly impossible to train and for being a huge pain. They did an incredible job with her and were extremely patient!) We love it! The service is great, fares are competitive and our dogs are safe and loved! read more

Our obedience school experience was completely negative. The facility is grungy and cramped. The instructor made a strong speech at the beginning about the need for consistent positive reinforcement and praise in order for learning to take place. She said she had lengthy experience in corporate HR, and she saw many managers fail because all they did was criticize. Then she proceeded to hurl constant criticism toward all the dog owners as they worked with their dogs. NOT a good learning environment. We quit after the third class because she was so unpleasant. We're now at another obedience school where the instructor is consistently encouraging and we're making good progress every week. Steer clear of this place unless you're a glutton for punishment. read more

Penny is no longer going to PCOS. Penny and I have both loved her time at PCOS, but I do not believe the dogs are getting the same attention previously provided. Twice now, Penny has become ill due to PCOS giving her access to bones. I do not elect to feed Penny these kinds of bones at home and did not authorize for them to provide them to her at school. Rather, after the first incident I expressly requested she not be given them any further. The issue continued and due to the fact that I do not want to clean up vomit anymore or risk further vet bills, Penny will not be returning. Penny went to PCOS for over two years. The entire staff at PCOS is fantastic and I know they all loved my dog. The owners on the other hand seem more focused on the rescue organization than that of their paying customers. read more

I regret taking my dog here I left him there for 2 weeks for the boarding and training and got him back with a really bad kennel cough the place told me he just got it 2 days ago whenever I went to go pick him up the next day he was not doing nothing just laying down and mucus just coming out like crazy so took him to the vet the vet told me that it was really bad that he did not know if he would make it that he must of been sick more then 2 days it looked like he was sick for a week to have developed a server congestion like he did I called back to the place to see what happened they told me the manager would back me back but never did so I was out $800 for boarding and $900 for medical bill on my pup not cool but thankfully he is a whole lot better don't really commend this place read more

Do not board your dog here. Park cities obedience school allows Riff's dog rescue to house their dogs at their facility. I adopted a puppy from Riff's rescue that they let run around in common areas with dogs being boarded. This puppy had blood in her stool and turned out to have parvo. She is now being hospitalized and may not survive. Park Cities Obedience School seems unconcerned with the fact that this puppy ran around with the dogs that were being boarded. I'm aware that you have to be up to date on shots to board your dog at this facility, but there is def a lack of cleanliness here. I saw with my own eyes the staff sweep up the bloody stool with a broom without sanitizing the area, then several dogs ran through it to their owners. Just disgusting. read more

We took our three Shih-tzu girls in for a two-week board and train, with a follow up in-home visit plus weekly classes. Couldn't be more pleased with Park Cities or with our follow-up counselor, Nancy. No harsh methods, no gimmicks - just calm, firm encouragement. We did the 2 week board and train for our almost 4 month old shih tzu puppy that was OUT of control. What an amazing transformation. He learned everything promised(sit, stay, down, come, stop as well as no biting, jumping ). He is a perfect puppy now and all of his chaotic energy is gone. Discipline is so beneficial to dogs. I believe he is truly happy now and all credit goes to park cities obedience school. For the first time since getting the dog he laid next to me and slept today! read more

My dogs love going to daycare!!!! Taking them to daycare is a blessing! They were destroying couches while I was at work for 10+ hours. Now they come home and are too tired to rip apart cushions. This place is the best! They are inexpensive, really really love dogs and are super accommodating. Our dog loves this place and always comes back really happy and tired :-). They're always accommodating with us, for example if I happen to be running late someone will always stay after pick up time to make sure my dog gets home. I love this doggie daycare. My boxer loves playing with his friends at Park Cities and comes home exhausted from his day of play. I travel a lot for work and they always took great care of my pup when I would have to board him for the weekend. Do not board your dogs with Park Cities Obedience School! I arrived to drop off my dogs and the place was closed down for a staff meeting, even though their office hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. After waiting for 45 minutes for someone to return (30 minutes past the time posted on the door), I walked around the building to look for somebody. While I was gone, my car was broken into and my window smashed. The owner could not have cared less. He barely apologized and did nothing to make it right. Furthermore, he acted as if I was being unreasonable for being upset. He didn't care at all, didn't even ask if I was OK. The guy was still at my car when I came back around the corner. He could have had a knife or something. Apparently, this has happened several times at their location. It was clear this guy was watching me and waiting for the right moment. If the ownership doesn't care about its customers, I can't believe they care about the dogs. There are too many other places with great reputations to continue to give PCOS my patronage. Btw, it wasn't even a staff meeting; they just went to lunch. read more

We used this place for the first (and last) time a few weeks ago to board our large breed, 9 month old dog. When we picked him up from his weekend stay, he smelled AWFUL, had a rash all over his body and in his ears, and was so traumatized he didn't eat for three days. Also, when we called on that Saturday to check on our dog, since it was his first time at a new place, the lady who answered spoke almost no English and had no idea who our dog was, obviously. My guess is our dog spent most of, if not all, his time locked in a cage. Do yourself, and your dog, a favor and STAY AWAY from this place!! Needless to say we will NEVER use this facility again. read more

Bear and Jonah love going to PCOS! One of our dogs was adopted from their shelter, and they both went to training at PCOS. They have boarded several times, and go to doggie daycare often. The staff at PCOS treats both dogs like family. The best review I can give comes from the dogs - as soon as we turn on Dyer both dogs go crazy with excitement. I am so thankful for Ray, Claudia, Perla and all the other staff who take care of our babies. They are kind, yet firm, and have helped us so much with Ellie Mae, our Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd rescue. I had never boarded or trained a dog before, and was very nervous about how Ellie would do. I signed us up for the group training classes, and realized that Ellie was trainable, but needed more. Then I signed up for the boarding/training, and have been taking her in for daycare 2-3 times a week to continue the socialization training. She loves it! And I love how it has helped us be more comfortable having guests in our home with Ellie. read more

Have used Park Cities Obedience to board my bc maybe 1-2 times a year for over 10 years. They have done a good job and seem to remember her and take good care of her on the rare occasions she does not travel with me. I trust them. Maybe not the cheapest but only hear good things about them. Limited pick up hours on week end is only thing would change. read more

NEVER, EVER take your dog to be boarded at this facility. We took our dog in to be boarded for five days and when he returned he had gashes all over his face/neck and a horrible case of giardia. No one at the facility said anything to me about the wounds and, of course, never said anything about him being sick. Also, the place smells like rancid dog feces and urine. This place is the worst. I called to make an appointment for training and it took over a week to get a return phone call. Then, I finally get a call from Kim and make the appointment. I leave work early to accommodate the only time she could fit me in. Show up on time, Kim is not there. The 2 people at the front desk tell me to sit and wait. After 20 minutes, I go back to the desk and ask if they can call Kim. The girl at the desk said, "oh yeah, she just called and said that she isn't going to make it." What?! Total lack of professionalism. And, on top of it, the place smells disgusting, is dirty, and the dogs are all crying and barking from the back while the employees are sitting in the front talking to each other. read more

This place is wonderful! We were so worried about our puppy for the week she was away for board and train. When I picked her up she was happy, better behaved, and smelled amazing. The bath before pickup was a nice perk. Whenever I called PCOS, they answered my calls and gave me reports on how our puppy was doing. I was consistently put at ease with their updates. Our puppy had plenty of exercise, played with other well behaved dogs, and seemed to pick up on training quite quickly. PCOS gave us the tools to better train our puppy and instill good habits early on. I will definitely be using PCOS again day camp, boarding, and training classes! We have been taking our dogs to Park Cities Obedience for several years, and they both love it. I will say this to those who are upset that their dogs came home sick or scratched. One of my dogs got sick at another boarding facility with playtime and also got a very bad injury from being bitten there, but I kept going because she loved it so much even though that manager told me both times that it was not their fault. I did finally switch to Park Cities because they are much better at making dogs behave themselves when necessary. Even so, when dogs play together, they can get injured, and if they share water, etc., they can also pick up things and so on and so on. I like that our dogs can play a lot there with other dogs and that if they board for a certain number of days, they get a free bath. We have one rather rambunctious dog, but the guys and gals watch her, and she behaves for them. Everyone there has always been very nice and taken good care of our pets. read more
