I will never…read moreuse anyone else, and in my opinion, no one else should either unless you enjoy wasting time, money, and your dog's intellect. As a former public school educator, his philosophy was the only one that made common sense to me in how a dog and frankly, how humans learn. If he is your first call, you don't need to make any other calls. If he is your last call, you'll be kicking yourself for not finding him first. He comes to the house, for 15 minute training sessions first with your dog, then with you. Guess what your homework is, 7 minute practice with your dog twice a day tops. Then, you are going into bookstores, etc. with your dog. I had a 50 lb 6 month Pitbull/Rottweiler/Am Bulldog mix. I could NOT physically walk him anymore. A leaf blows by, a squirrel, a child squeals and wants to pet the puppy...I was yanked off my feet (I am a single, 5 foot female weighing around 110-115) Our world was getting smaller and smaller. Breyers changed our lives in a matter of weeks. So now I get to experience all of life with my dog by my side. And I'll close with this story. I got a call on a Monday at 5pm from my Dad coming back from a UT football game. "In Hillsboro at the split, I fell asleep at the wheel, woke up rolling and the car is totaled and I need you to come get me." Two girlfriends came over, one is a super small Asian woman that's never owned a dog and the other is older and has only owned purse-sized dogs. Within 30 seconds, I taught them how to walk Presley, and I got in my car and booked it down I-35. They could not believe how gentlemanly and well behaved Presley was, he waits until they walk through doorways, they stop, he stops, one even took him on the elevator, and prior to training, he wouldn't let me do that! And they didn't have to know or give any commands, just his name. So if you want a dog that understands how to behave when you have guests visit, when you are out walking, when you wanna pop into a bookstore, and who ignores squirrels, has respect and boundaries, and who can think and problem solve for themselves, hire Breyers. Again, I am a CPA and I put my name to Breyers Lane and his company Breyers' Canine Academy, and he is the only dog trainer I will ever endorse.

Instead, I witnessed behavior that was completely unacceptable. While I was there, I overheard someone using racial slurs while speaking to an employee who works at the business. Hearing that made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. There is no place for that kind of language in any professional setting, especially in a business that serves the public. As a paying customer, I expected professionalism, respect, and a positive environment not to witness racist language being used. Because of this experience, I will not be returning, and I hope the owner takes this matter seriously and addresses it being that she's one of the owners so no other customer or employee has to experience the same thing.

I honestly don't know where to start with this experience…read more I left my dog, Luca, for a two-week training program and received absolutely no updates during the first week. I was told Laura would be contacting me with progress reports, but I never heard from her. When I finally called to check in, I was told she had "just left." I decided to stop by in person to find out what was going on, only to learn that Laura had actually been out sick and hadn't been there at all during the first week. She asked me to give her another chance and keep Luca for the second week, which I agreed to -- and that's on me. Unfortunately, the second week was just as bad. Again, there was zero communication, no follow-up, and overall, completely unprofessional service. I'm extremely disappointed. This experience was frustrating and far below the standard I expected for my dog's care and training. One thing I was say the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and nice and help a lot in this terrible situation

While I was the one who spoke with him on the phone and would be training the dog, he insisted said he needed to meet with my boyfriend to do the session. Within the first 10 minutes he kicked my 15 pound shihtzu, who was only sniffing his boot, which was not the dog that needed training. Our concern is that our Frenchie cries when I'm upstairs, his recommendation was to crate her and let her cry, walk her on a choke collar to show her authority and not let her use a doggy door or access toys. Found his vibe to be abusive. He also only works 12-3pm and insisted we take off work to accommodate his schedule. Needless to say we had him leave after 40 minutes.

Any dog owner knows how stressful it is on the dog (and the owner) to be boarded somewhere new - especially an old dog. I found Joseph on Yelp, and I'm extremely happy I did! I really felt comfortable with Joseph after an initial phone call and brief meeting. He was very knowledgeable about dogs and gave off lots of good energy. My pup really seemed to take to him. Even though it was pretty last minute, Joseph made a way! I dropped my dog off and later on that first day, he sent me texts and videos containing updates on how well Simba was acclimating to his new environment with his temporary master. This was the BEST part. I trusted Joseph with a little piece of my heart, and he really gave me the peace of mind I needed to enjoy my vacay! I will definitely call him again when I need doggie daycare or short term boarding.

For the first hour Lauren provided some good information and things to try with Darwin to help him. After that she said she wanted to bring in her dog for Darwin to be around, I stated I wasn't really comfortable with Darwin being around another dog and I didn't think it was the best idea. Lauren assured us that her dog Mable was extremely friendly and did not care about other dogs (Mable is a pitbull mix that is only 1 year old and about 50 pounds)! As Mable was brought in Darwin was barking and growling (his normal), and Mable was ok but then she started growling and getting aggressive. Her hair was standing up and Lauren said she was just correcting Darwin, so we just kept watching which was a mistake. Mable snapped at Darwin's ribs and bit him. We didn't see he was bleeding until she left. The next day our dog was very lethargic and sore, he couldn't jump up on the couch or walk with out crying out. Lauren did send me Mable's medical records at my request and was made aware that Darwin was bleeding. She did not offer a refund for the training. We already knew our dog has issues to fix, that is why we hired her, now he is even more scared of other dogs. The good news is he is healed up, but we will never use this company again. Please make sure to communicate what you want and you know your dog better than anyone else, do not put them in danger.

Danny is a wonderful groomer who always greets us when we arrive & comes out w/ Sophie when I pick her up to verify that I like her cut. The whole process from start to finish, from making the appt to pick up is made so easy for clients & their pets!! The staff knows pets & their parents. If you are in need of grooming for your pet, boarding &/or doggie daycare, I cannot recommend Dallas Pet Den highly enough!!!

Very Disappointing Daycare Experience -- Grooming Was Excellent…read more I was initially very cautious about taking my dogs to Dallas Pet Den because I had seen several negative reviews regarding grooming. At the time, however, I was only interested in daycare, not grooming. Even getting started was difficult. Their online registration process was extremely confusing and not user-friendly. After finally submitting both dogs' information and vaccination records, I waited two days and never heard from anyone. I also tried calling several times but repeatedly found myself on hold, eventually hanging up. I ultimately went into the facility in person and spoke with a woman who told me she had been there for over 23 years. I explained my concerns about the registration process, lack of communication, difficulty reaching someone by phone, and the negative reviews I had seen. She apologized, assured me she would help, and got us set up for daycare. We went ahead and purchased daycare packages because I felt comfortable giving them a chance. I will say that the grooming experience itself was outstanding. I met the groomer, who has more than 20 years of experience, and she was wonderful to work with. My dog's groom was excellent, and she deserves a 10/10. Unfortunately, my experience with the front-of-house staff was the complete opposite. When I went to pick up my dogs and pay for the grooming service, the employee assisting me was extremely short, curt, and unfriendly. When I asked where my groomed dog was, I was told, "I don't know, probably in a suite." When I asked about my other dog after hearing him barking, I was told, "Probably." There was no explanation, communication, or attempt to help. I left and planned to return around 6 PM, but I felt uneasy about the entire situation and decided to come back sooner. That's when I learned that my dogs had been separated for essentially the entire day. My understanding is that once a dog is groomed, they don't return to daycare. That's perfectly fine--but no one explained that to me when I dropped them off. Had I known that my dogs would be separated for the day, I absolutely would have come back and picked them both up after the grooming appointment. They are brothers who are accustomed to being together, and I would never knowingly choose to have them separated all day. When I brought this concern up, rather than receiving an apology or an explanation, I was met with attitude. I was told that there were notes in their system describing me as "rude." I found that incredibly disappointing. I explained that I didn't need an attitude; I simply wanted my concerns addressed and wanted my dogs. What happened next made the situation even more concerning. I watched another customer's dog come out of the boarding area without a leash, running toward its owner while I was standing nearby with my dogs. Then, when my groomed dog was brought up, he was also brought out without a leash, and I was asked through a partially closed door to hand over the leashes. The entire experience felt extremely unprofessional and lacking in basic customer service and communication. I want to be very clear that the groomer was fantastic. Her work was excellent, and I would absolutely recommend her based on my experience with her. However, based on my experience, I would not recommend Dallas Pet Den for daycare. The communication, customer service, handling of the dogs, and overall experience were extremely disappointing. There was also an unpleasant smell in the lobby during my visits, which added to the overall impression of the facility. I gave this business a chance despite the negative reviews I had initially seen, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed many of my concerns. My dogs will not be returning for daycare. Grooming: 10/10 Daycare/customer service: 0/10 I hope management takes this feedback seriously because the grooming service itself is excellent, but the front-of-house experience and communication need significant improvement

Shortly after bringing him home, the puppy was diagnosed by my licensed veterinarian with pica, a compulsive disorder that causes ingestion of non-food items. As a result, he required one obstruction surgery and was taken to the emergency room five times for ingestion of foreign objects during the three and half months that I owned him. This condition required ongoing management and significant expenses. I ultimately returned the puppy to the breeder as outlined under the contract, with a very tearful goodbye. He ingested another foreign object, and I could no longer afford medical expenses for the puppy after spending approximately $15k in medical expenses prior to receiving any insurance reimbursement at that time. In order to return the puppy, I signed a liability waiver and non-disparagement clause, which stated that no financial reimbursement would be provided, a new puppy would not be provided, and that I could not make negative public statements about the breeder. This whole experience has been financially and emotionally devastating for myself and my 5 year-old son. I am sharing only my personal, factual experience so that others can make informed decisions. I would be happy to speak with anyone who would like additional factual information or documentation regarding my experience.
