The front office staff super friendly, in person and over the phone; I've called to see if I can go in earlier to my appt. and they were able to accommodate me; plus every appointment they send me home with a complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. Love it, gives me a nostalgic feeling since my childhood dentist did this and lot of dentist office don't give any goody bags anymore. I needed to find a new dentist after years of not going after a bad experience I had with another dentist. Chrissy did a thorough but gentle cleaning, making sure to be careful with certain areas that were brought to her attention. Danielle, who took my X-rays, was very professional and sweet. Dr. Gretchen has a lovely "bedside manner" and took the time to explain what was found on the X-rays and went through a treatment plan with me. Shout-out to the two kind ladies at the front desk. October 31st 2023 -- Recent visit for Cleaning. At the end of my visit with Kristy, Dental Hygienist, I had asked about if I needed to plan to make any appointment in the future for Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing. Kristy said, "No." She had mentioned that I have taken good care of my teeth between visit, so she doesn't see any reason in the near future for any Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing. I do Dental Floss and use various mouth rises like Listerine --Cool Mint, Colgate Peroxyl Antispetic Mouth Sore Rinse - Mild Mint, and Biotene Fresh Mint Dry Mouth Oral Rinse. Preventative Care, really helps. I do ask and listen to Kristy advice. Dr. Gretchen Gadwood let's me know if I need further maintenance. Refilling the one back tooth with resin was nice since it had worn away with a little decay to prevent it from going any further bad. i did a lot of research and decided on Dr Gadwood because when i called and Candra answered. She answered all my questions to the point and provided all the information I needed. it was a simple, transparent process and no rabbit holes to waste time on. The first office visit took about 2 hours. Pearl was in charge of administrating Low radiation X-ray. A very forgiving rounded device was put inside my mouth instead of the actual film that pokes into your mouth tissues. Many measurements and pictures were taken to establish my baseline. Dr Gadwood is very amicable and explained everything logically and in details with the aids of actual pictures of my teeth. These are very detailed pictures showing hidden back areas to review cavities, receding gum lines, etc... Kristy, the 'Guru' of dental hygienist, did a tremendous and thorough job cleaning my teeth. I didn't have to flinch once from something sharp poking into my gums or feeling the sensation of scraping in sensitive areas. She would tell me what she was doing and gave very good instructions throughout the entire process. The next morning, I received an action plan listing in order of priority the work that needed to be done-description of work, costs, discounts and my portion. Kudos to Dr. Gadwood and her Staff for having such a well thought out process. They invested in the right equipments to do the best job. Each staff member executed their roles flawlessly . Let me start off with customer service over the phone. Kendra(I think that's how you spell her name) was very welcoming and answering all my questions. Making my first appointment was very easy. Once I arrived to my appointment the front desk lady's welcomed me and told me who was going to take me back. I met with Pearl and she did all my X-rays and panoramic scan. She made small talk and I was able to relax. She tried answering all my questions. Then I had the pleasure to meet Dr Gadwood. She asked if I had any concerns about my teeth. Never been to a better dentist! Dr Gadwood and her entire staff are very kind, thorough, skilled, and patient. One thing I've never experienced at a dentist office is that they don't guilt you if haven't been taking care of your teeth properly, but listen to your routine and try to give you little manageable tips to improve. I also normally have a filling that gets replaced almost annually, and Dr Gadwood was the first dentist who told me it's actually just discolouration and the filling is still intact - so we are watching it, but no need to re-do it until it starts degrading.
