UPDATE 6-23-15 Barrett-Jackson was willing to refund all fees associated with this deal to help facilitate a resolution for the problems we have had with Park Place and their Owners. Park Place remains the only party unwilling to step up and do the right thing. As such, we filed complaints with the BBB, WA Licensing Board and Attorney General. Furthermore, a civil action is being prepared in Arizona against Park Place. read more

Not exactly truthful... I bought a very unique 2004 Mercedes CL55 AMG that had been completely customized and has only 22,000 miles. I traded in a very nice 88 Rolls Royce Silver Spur II with low miles (57,000). They charged high end retail for the CL55, which was fair because it is extremely unique, and gave me wholesale on the Rolls. So far, so good. However, when the CL55 was finally delivered (4 days late), three very obvious items were wrong. One of the expensive Asanti wheels had severe scratches on it (never mentioned), the only key did not work to lock the doors, and the trunk could not be opened at all. The entire trunk latch mechanism had to be replaced at the tune of almost $1,400. All tolled, the car cost me an additional $2,000+ so far. They acted like it was fine when they had it, which is pure bullpuckey. They stated they would pay a small amount, $260 and complained about very minor issues on the Rolls, which is a considerably older car, obviously. I buy and sell a lot of cars - one a month on average - but I probably won't be doing business with them again. read more

I successfully consigned our Mercedes SL class here a few years ago. It went so well that I didn't hesitate to bring my Tesla over to consign after I had ordered a new one. I informed them that I would try to sell through them up until the time my new car arrived, then I would trade it in. 6 weeks later, the car hadn't sold, so I called them to let them know that I would be trading it in. The consignment manager asked me, "You have a contract did you read it?" I had of course, there was nothing granting them exclusive right to sell the car. After I pushed the issue, they made me a lowball offer to by the car (less than wholesale). I declined of course. Finally they offered to pay me about 500 dollars over what I would get at trade-in if I agreed to keep it on the lot until Jun 8. If it sold, I would instead get the agreed upon price. Once I agreed, they stashed the car behind the lot. They were obviously unaware that Tesla owners can view the location of their cars in real time. Once the agreed date passed, the car miraculously sold almost immediately! I decided that it wasn't worth getting very upset about the 3500 difference, but here is the problem, They still haven't paid for the car! My credit union won't fund my new loan until the old is paid off. The car was sold on 6/9. Park Place gave us a check for the difference between the sale price and the remaining loan on 6/15, and said that the check was mailed to my credit union in Seattle on the same day for the balance. Apparently the check still hasn't made its 15 mile trip in the mail yet. At this point I am skeptical of everything I have been told, but will edit this part about payment if by some chance they really mailed the check when they said. Several local Tesla owners commented on the excellent treatment they got when consigning through Platinum Auto. I wish I had done the same. read more

I got a message from Donovan expressing interest for my car listed on cars.com. I told him that I am not interested in consignment and he ensured that he is not wasting my time and asked me to come out. I bring my car next day, he points me to Brian who checks out the car and finds nothing wrong with it. Then he says he needs to talk to his general manager to finalize the offer. Next day he calls me and gives me an offer $20,000 less than the asking price. Says he pulled carfax and realized I bought the car new couple months earlier than he though and there is less warranty on it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with them. read more

I am pleasantly surprised. No, actually I'm totally shocked at how great that went. I have bought a number of new and used cars from local dealerships. I had always left the lot feeling like I needed a shower and wasted tons of time saying no to undercoating, extended warranties, paint protectors, leather protection, service packages, prepaid oil changes, you name it, and wasted an entire day with some sales twerp trying to upgrade me into more expensive colors and options while trying to measure the thickness of my checkbook and the quality of my clothing. In the past, more than one salesperson has suggested that I should "have my husband with me". And the incessant calling afterwards... holy moly... Imagine my surprise when I found absolutely NONE of these tactics at Park Place. I figured they'd be even worse! I was *so* wrong. From the moment I walked onto the lot, Hunter was professional, was able to answer all my questions (although once or twice he had to go find out - which he did, quickly), and ... really helpful(!!). He didn't pester me with emails or voicemails, he left the ball firmly in my court and simply made himself available to help me with anything I wanted, on *my* schedule. Park Place, a dealer that sells Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches sold me a new Saab without any nickel and dime tactics, a quick and relatively painless negotiation (which was basically trading 3 phonecalls). Once we agreed on a really fair price, I walked into the showroom to sign papers and it only took half an hour to execute the sale even though they mis-spelled my name and had to reprint every form.... (my name is hard - it's mis-spelled more often than it's spelled correctly). There are a number of dealers in the area who should learn something from Park Place. The best, best car dealership I've ever met. To be honest, I did not purchase any car here but a couple of services for my Aston and my SAAB. It's an absolute heaven for petrolheads. The collection is absolutely amazing! Porsche 959, Alfa 8C, 300SL... (If you don't know what I'm talking about, next door BMW certainly welcomes you.) The sales people here really know cars. Unlike any other dealers who would try anything to get money from you quickly, they feel happy chatting with me for ages about the cars (The culture, the history, the heritage etc.) they have in store. Yep, I know they do realize a 21 year-old would not have enough cash to purchase anything from them yet. But still, they treat me really well. And I'm so happy that there's at least one dealer in town operated by real car people. You know what others would do to blokes like me? Beamer would force you to buy their cars right away and Merk would simple kick you out of the store. Note: Their services are pricey so are their cars. (I really don't mind about it.) P.S. Probably the only Spyker dealer in the region now although they don't have any in store for a really long time. I'll order one from Park Place, sooner or later. I love dealers to show a bit of exclusivity, or, in the eyes of non-petrolheads, cocky. I love it. read more

Bought a 1976 restored Bronco from Park Place and David Khazai. Everything seemed on the up and up. I traded a 2015 Porsche 911 turbo S and received a fair deal on that. Of course they found some damage. But, when I got the Bronco it crapped out in an hour. It spent a month in the shop before I got to drive it. During that time Park Place sent me the old records from the previous owner and all the problems I had were acknowledged in these reports. I have tried to deal will Park Place in giving the car back, but they would not deal or stand behind this car at all. I come to find out it was on consignment. These guys are just silver tongued high end car sales men that spent no time evaluating the vehicle they sold. We will see each other again. read more

This is a review for the service department only. I had my Mercedes serviced recently, just an oil change. I took it to Park Place because Adam at the Mercedes Garage has been taking care of me for years at his old location. He recently moved and re-opened as a shop-inside-a-shop at Park Place. The price has gone up a little, and they didn't wash or vacuum the car out like they used to. But, the customer service was great, and they did the service very promptly and had the car was ready when promised. I'll definitely go back. read more

As with most used cars, there were a few minor items that needed fixing and they took care of all them and put a brand new set of tires on the car to boot! I have had two horrible experiences with Park Place. The first time I tried to buy a car they basically said we don't want your business with no explanation. The second time was yesterday, I called at closing and a person named Vick/Vik answered. I was interested in a car they had for sale. He seemed a bit confused and told me he or someone would would call me back in the morning when they open. I never received a call. I bought a car from another dealer. It seems that they discriminate based on their first impression and whether you are worthy of buying a car from them. I live in Colorado and saw a 2007 Porsche 911 that looked beautiful on their website.......just what I was looking for. I had a complex deal in that I wanted to trade my Classic 1986 Porsche factory turbo body. I emailed pictures of my car to Rene [my salesman] and talked with Ryan [the general manager] to get the deal done. I received a fair trade-in price for my 1986. The only information I had to go on was the pictures of the 2007 Porsche because I live in Colorado. The only information they had to go on regarding my 1986 was the pictures Rene requested I send to them. We managed to work out a deal over the phone I was happy with. The reason I worked with Park Place is because they deal in exotic cars only and would appreciate the value of my 1986 Porsche factory turbo body, thus the fair trade-in price. Again, living in Colorado I had to buy only on the pictures and description of the 2007 and same for Rene and Ryan regarding my 1986 trade-in car. They helped in shipping [closed container] both ways. It was a smooth deal both me shipping to them my car and them shipping the 2007 to me. I at first was apprehensive because I live out of state and was not able to test drive or even see my new purchase. The car just arrived a couple days ago and it is beautiful.......I love it!! I had heard that Park Place Ltd. deals only in quality cars and thus eased my fears about buying the car out of state. I think they are the premier dealership of exotic cars on the west coast. I believe over 50% of their business is done out of state like my deal. I highly recommend Park Place if you are buying out of state. I came here to see a used, one year old BMW 328i that I saw on autotrader.com. I made an appointment in advance to come in and see the car. They are a dealership for some very high end cars (Maserati's, Porsches, Lotus, Aston Martin). I stood at the reception desk for a good 5-10 minutes before anyone offered to help me. People walked by and ignored me. When I finally got someone, I told them who I was looking for and that I had an appointment. That person came out and told me that he had something else that he was busy with and found another salesperson to help me. We saw the vehicle, and it looked good. Our salesperson seemed nice enough, so we negotiated a reasonable price on the car. Then came the inspection. I had the car inspected by an independent mechanic. This was a 1 year old car with less than 10,000 miles on it. The mechanic reported back to me that the car had been in an accident and the front bumper had been repaired and repainted and the suspension on that side had been replaced. I reported this to the salesperson whom I had been dealing with. He didn't sound surprised or apologetic. He just said, "Ok. So we can find you another vehicle then." No, thanks! We went to BMW Bellevue a few days later and bought a new 328xi instead. The moral of the story is, just because you are at a fancy-looking, snooty-acting dealership that sells expensive cars, it doesn't mean that they won't try to rip you off. So always get an independent inspection for used cars before buying! I was just annoyed that it cost me $200, but well worth it to walk away from that car. I won't be dealing with Park Place Ltd again. read more

Made an offer online for a 2007 Mercedes SL550 they had. The email I received back was very rude and condescending. I am a consumer who does research and tries to purchase things that are negotiable at the best price possible, especially when it comes to cars. CarGuru shows vehicles that are $5000 plus off of retail, so these deals are not unheard of. In the future Park Place LTD, tell whomever is replying back to email offers, not to be a snobby douchebag and just say " we are not interested in selling the car at the price you offered, thank you for your consideration". I wish I could share this email with my fellow Yelpers, they may think twice about stepping foot in your dealership. But as I read some of the reviews, it looks like I am not the first to encounter poor customer service by your dealership. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could! I took my car to have it washed here thinking that the d-bag atmosphere meant that they would take good care of my car. Unfortunately, just because a place displays Lamborghinis doesn't mean they will handle your car with care. When I got my car back I realized very quickly that they destroyed the tint on my windows. EVERY window in my car had tiny dots of missing tint with threads of white terry cloth hanging out. When I brought it back they looked at it, seemed concerned and remorseful then said they would be in touch. They never called so I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I received documentation with their response that my car was dirty so I must not have seen the missing tint before it was cleaned.....Of course it was dirty, they are a car WASH! I now have damaged tint. Thanks Park Place LTD! Please save your car and NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! read more

I purchased a high end vehicle from this group. Days after purchasing the vehicle I learned there were bubbles in my tires and the rims on the vehicle were bent. When I brought this information forward to the sales team who sold the car to me, they reminded me that it was a used vehicle and I was on my own. It is just mind boggling to me that one would be treated this way when spending more than $45k on a vehicle. It's a good reminder that you can't trust dealerships. Understand I did not buy my car from Park Place...it is one of those cars that you just can't live without...however, it is older and repairs are seriously costly...but, stubborn person that I am, I will keep it forever. Fast forward...Purchased an extended warranty from Park Place (thank you, Hunter)...had a couple of sleepless nights worrying about paying so much for an "insurance policy"...but it has now (we're into it for 1/2 of its duration) more than reimbursed me for the repairs and I have another 1 1/2 years to go (not sure what I will do then)..so ...what I am saying is "if Park Place asks you if you want to purchase an extended warranty on your dream car"...DO IT! read more
