I told him what kind of minivan we wanted and how much we were willing to spend. Within a little over a week he called me with a minivan he found that was PERFECT for us and even more than I expect for our low budget! He was actually able to get it for a little less than our budget. We scheduled a time to meet up to look at the van and after looking it over we were impressed with how clean it was and it ran perfectly! We bought the minivan and have been so happy with it! About a week after we purchased it, the door lock on the passenger side went out and wouldn't lock or unlock when using the power door locks. Jeff told us he would buy the part and fix it at no charge to us! I have never been so impressed with buying a car and the amazing customer service and honesty that Jeff showed to us! He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchase and was so willing to fix the door lock which he didn't HAVE to do since it was working when we bought it! I will be going to Jeff for any of my future car purchases and would refure him to all my friends and family!

I looked at the car at his Bellevue location and when told him I wanted to have my mechanic take a look at it in another town, he was very workable. The entire experience was easy and smooth, which isn't always the case when buying a used car. While he may be considered a "dealer" because of the Magnolia Motors location, I found the experience to have the best part of the personal experience with the advantages offered by working with a dealer. I'd highly recommend if looking for a good deal, with a personal touch and great customer service.

Last Saturday, my partner spoke with Jim about a Honda Civic. Jim asked my partner to speak with John, who was in the office that day. When we arrived, John was incredibly friendly. He kept referring to my partner as "my friend," and showed us pictures of his recent trip to Ireland. He also immediately started talking to my partner as if the purchase of the car was a done deal. He accompanied us on a test drive of the vehicle. During the test drive, John mentioned taking the car onto the freeway, but then directed my partner back to the office after driving right down the street, circling a lot, and then driving back. When we arrived back at the office, John pulled out some paperwork and gave it to my partner. Again, he was acting as if the transaction was a done deal. When we started trying to negotiate with him, everything changed. "My friend" went straight out the window, his smile turned into a frown, and he said to us twice that he wouldn't have had us come all the way down there if he had known that we were going to try to negotiate. What car dealership expects customers to purchase a vehicle without negotiation? I had to bite my tongue to keep from telling him that he didn't have us come down there, and that we chose to come take a look at the vehicle. At one point, he pulled the old "let me go talk to my boss" routine and stepped outside for a few minutes. When he returned, he refused to negotiate. Needless to say, we did not purchase the vehicle. And also needless to say, we do not recommend this business.

I arrived to a shop that looked like an abandoned building, but inside was filled with beautiful classics. I'm only talking about this so that if anyone in the future decides to look into this company ahead of time, just know you are in the right spot when you pull up to a white, abandoned-looking building. Here's what this place did great, and here's where they went wrong: Right off the bat, when I walked in the door, they had the carfax report on the table and were very open about the 2 crashes the car had been in. I appreciated that. This 4Runner I was looking at also happened to have extensive documented maintenance, that was prepared and on the table for me to view when I walked in. We then took this 4Runner out to the shipyards near magnolia where I was given free rein to drive it around. This 4Runner was a manual. The clutch was seriously wrong, and it was noticeable. It did not have transmission issues, but the clutch pedal was not effective and it was tough to drive, so it was noticeable. We drove it around for a little bit and headed back to the shop where I sat down to look at the maintenance records they had available. This particular 4Runner had a lot of clutch work done, so I was concerned. I brought it up to Alex, and he recommended to take the 4Runner into their shop to get it fixed before they were to sell it. That was much appreciated. They didn't try to shrug me off and move on to another customer and try to sell a broken 4Runner for $14k to the next customer, they stopped, addressed the problem, and tried to move on. In my opinion, that's how business should be done. Kudos Here's where I believe they went wrong. They were trying to sell a 4Runner with 90% of the factory options for the price of a 4Runner that had 100% of the factory options. When you go on used car markets elsewhere, you could find that exact car for $8500-10k easily because nobody wants a 4Runner without all the 4x4 factory options. To make things worse, they were trying to sell that 4Runner with clutch issues. In my opinion, that is not how you do business. They had already taken the time to do repairs on the 4Runner ahead of time, the clutch pedal should've been addressed prior to listing or the price should've been lowered. I wish this team the best of luck selling that 4Runner, and I wish you luck on finding a car that's right for you. If you decide to come here, make sure to ask for Alex. He's about as stand up as a dealership salesman can come. I will still recommend this shop to anyone looking for specifics. To me, this shop appears to only buy specific cars that are in high demand due to rarity, price, etc. so they might have what you're looking for. I should also add that even though they had some questionable ethics, this shop was the most honest dealership I've been to in the last 3-4 weeks and I've been inside 7 different shops across the Seattle area this month. P.s. I ended up buying a truck of Facebook marketplace. I went to this shop with the intention of buying the 4Runner, but was turned off by them asking $13,900 for a 4Runner without the factory lockers and with clutch issues. You can find the same 4Runner on Facebook marketplace for anywhere between $8,500-10k because nobody wants a 4x4 4Runner without the factory lockers.

The process was quick however the plates took a while. A week later I noticed a burning smell and acceleration issues, I brought it in to them for repairs which they did for free probably because he was aware of it's issues prior to my purchase, however they were bandaid fixes and the car experienced total engine failure about a month later unexpectedly. He first told me he repaired the oil housing but later said he didn't do that but it was the catalytic converter that was replaced. The shop I took it to said there was no way that I could have caused that level of damage to the vehicle in the short time I owned it. The pistons were shot, stuck in limp mode, vaccuum issues and misfiring which they said would require an internal engine rebuild or a new engine. The shop told me the issues I brought it into the dealership for were clear signs of that impending engine failure the dealership should have caught. I asked the owner, Jason, for service report mulitiple times which he refused to provide. I reached out to the owner about this and asked for repairs since the shop didn't have the tools to do that level of repairs, he led me to believe it wasn't worth fixing and offered a trade. I brought the car in January and handed him the service notes from the shop for review and reimbursement. He didn't even look at it and tossed it aside and said "they don't know shit" and offered a laughably low price for the old car which brought me to tears, it meant I sunk 4k into a car I only drove for a couple of months, without even bothering to look at the car at all when I requested him to saying "it could be a paperweight for all I know, I'm doing you a favor". The new loan for the 2019 aqua blue Mini Convertible, which has a cracked windshield and broken parking lamp, was to absorb the remainder of the old loan. A responsible dealership would have used the funds from the new sale to payoff the old loan, however after following up with him week after week for three months on it and numerous excuses "we sent the check" twice and delays, he made clear that he didn't even have the funds to make that payoff three months later and needed to sell cars first. He paid just enough of the old loan to bring it to zero and less than the contract required and didn't compensate for the payments I made while he didn't have the funds to pay it off. I reached out to him about the payments, repairs and permanent plates per contract, that haven't been done after three months and the delays and excuses continue probably due to lack of funds also. I felt decieved since I originally requested the first car be repaired since I was attached to it and he told me it was not worth fixing but evidently it was because he has since listed it in his inventory and the repairs listed don't address the engine failure at all and the carfax is locked behind a paywall when it wasn't before. At best the 2011 spice orange Mini Convertible is a ticking time bomb like it was when I bought it. Be ware any car they sell especially that one. This would have been a wonderful experience if only he had repaired the 2011 properly like I requested but instead he made a total and incriminatingly hot water disaster of this experience. To this day, April 16th 2026, I am still waiting for reimbursement of the payments I had to make, the permanent plates and repairs that were all promised to me by Jason in January. Ashley, the accountant, is a sweetheart and deserves a massive shout out for doing her best considering the irresponsible and unethical owner she is so very unfortunate to have to work under. Beyond that, Erika was sitting at the front desk and was the first person I ran into. Which is wild to me, since most car dealership GMs aren't that easily accessible or reachable. I ended up working with Evan Olivier and I had one of the best car shopping experiences I've ever had. Evan was extremely personable and real with me. He mentioned the extended warranty one time, I mentioned I wasn't interested and that I had a bad experience with extended warranties in the past, and he didn't bring it up again. He didn't try to push unwanted services or products on me and respected my position on upsold products. I can't say the same for other dealerships... Otherwise, we were able to test drive 4Runners and Tacomas and I learned a ton about Toyota's the day that I visited. Evan was extremely knowledgeable about the different generations and capabilities they had and Evan being a Seattleite, knew what driving a Tacoma or 4Runner would be like in the city because he owned one, it wasn't just word vomit to be more agreeable with me. Instead of doing this crazy test drive, we parallel parked the Tacoma outside the dealership, we reversed into a parking spot, and we even focused on the turn radius like I'd experience in a Seattle parking garage, we almost took it to my apartment complex to check garage door heights to see if it would actually fit in my apartment complex, but phoned ahead and my apartment manager let me know it was a no-go for that specific 4Runner. Evan and I literally tested the exact things you need to check out when you live in Seattle and management was 100% okay with doing this odd check I had requested like taking it to my apartment complex. A+ for effort! The warranty transparency, pricing, knowledge, and information Evan shared with me and the experience overall was worth dropping a note here for others to review.
