I am a frequent guest here and have always had top notch service. Today was not that day. The place was not busy - probably due to heat. The fellow behind the bar acted like he remembered me, but then proceeded to ignore me. I didn't enjoy the beer I ordered, but was never asked. My fries were not hot, and my dis sandwich was less than enjoyable. I had to get up and find him to ask for a check, he then greeted other guests before coming to me. For the first time in many moons I only tipped 20%. Very disappointed, but will return if anyone else is working the bar. read more

My downside was my Mediterranean Chicken Risotto. The protein portion size was good - but the chicken was bland and I wished for a larger rice portion. Firstly, I loved how allergen friendly they are. They immediately ask you if there's any allergies to be aware of and are helpful when ordering. My husband has a serious dairy allergy, so considerations like these are crucial for a stress-free dining experience. Food was pretty good, too! My only criticism is that flavor felt lacking to an extent. For example, the chicken piccatta was great! But... I had to ask for a lemon to squeeze over it because I couldn't taste any lemon. I called 3 days in advance to book a reservation for a party of 7. I was told they could only accommodate a group of 6, I booked it anyways. As a turn of event , one of my friends cancelled. When we got to our table, it had 7 chairs! Not sure why I was lied to. Menu was decent. Paying for table bread is crazy though. I was also disappointed they didn't offer oysters nor mussels. Ordered: she-crab soup, crab crusted haddock with jasmine rice and broccoli. The service was slow. But the restaurant wasn't packed. There were quite a few empty tables. It Took over 40 minutes for everyone to get their appetizers and entrees weren't service until an hour into the service. Despite the service, the food was pretty good. She-crab soup was nice and HOT! I hate luke warm soup so I was happy it was hot. The serving size of the haddock was huge. The fish was crispy and well seasoned but the rice was bland and broccoli was too soft/mushy. Went on Valentines Night - Thankfully they had some extra space for a small party of 5. Our waitress was attentive, she gave us pretty good recommendations, and made sure we had what we needed. I got the Cabernet Braised Short Ribs w/ Mashed Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts and I definitely could taste to Cabernet. I wasn't expecting them to have a strong cab taste, but they were fine. The potatoes tasted a bit earthy considering there wasn't any peeling in them. The brussels sprouts was good. We also go the Filet Mignon, and it was under cooked, we asked for medium well and it was cooked medium rare. Then we get to the NY Strip, the strip was probably the best tasting out of the 3 in my opinion. The menu wasn't huge but still had some diverse options depending on what you're looking for. I've been meaning to get back to Burtons since the Yelp event, and the chance for a proper date night finally appeared. We arrived to a very busy dining room, just ahead of the Friday evening rush. After a short wait while the host checked on tables, we were shown to a comfortable booth. Our waitress was lovely and took excellent care of us, including a clear explanation of their allergy procedures. We're not gluten free, but it was reassuring to see that level of attention. We started with the bread service, which was a great choice. A warm pull‑apart roll with olive oil, butter and tapenade made for a simple, satisfying appetizer before the main courses arrived. Mrs. K chose the crabcake sandwich, a generous crabcake on a brioche bun with truffle fries. I'm not convinced the truffle fries were worth the upgrade since most of the topping had fallen off, and my regular fries were excellent. Your mileage may vary. I went with the Maxx Burger, cooked exactly medium rare as requested. A tall, indulgent stack with a big patty, all the trimmings and fried onion strings. Absolutely delicious, a little drippy and completely satisfying. Even though we were both full, dessert still happened. A slice of chocolate cake, boxed to go, packed neatly in a container that fit perfectly with the chocolate and raspberry sauces in small pots. A thoughtful finish. Cindy took wonderful care of us throughout the evening, and the whole experience made for a terrific date night. Burtons is definitely joining our regular rotation. I only ordered the general tso bowl so my review is based off one item, but it was SO good!! It was spicy, but delicious! My friend ordered the sauces on the side as she has had it before and wanted to control how much she put on due to the spice level, but it wasn't too much for me. Super flavorful. The restaurant was busy and had a lot of other items on the menu I would try in the future. This was my second time dining here, my first was for brunch. From start to finish, the service both times was amazing. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu regardless of which staff you ask. Our appetizer was the general tso cauliflower and Philly cheesesteak spring rolls. The cauliflower is amazing! The spring rolls were ok but I'm not sure I'd order again. I had the crab crusted haddock as my entree and opted for the sautéed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes as my sides. Both were amazing. We just came from a Father's Day meal and had one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I wish I could remember our server's name because he was great-very attentive, friendly, and asked about allergies (my Dad has severe shellfish allergy). We started with the Calamari that came with peppers, fried perfectly, and was very light. They have a lot of really good vegetarian options and my Mom had the roasted vegetable bowl. It was a nice size portion and looked and smelled delicious. My Dad had the chicken Milanese Alfredo and loved it. I opted for the steak frites with chimmichurri and it may be one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked medium rare, which some restaurants struggle with but Burton's got it right. It came with a side of parmesan truffle fries, and the chimmichurri was full of garlic and herbs. We were very happy to see that they had Fried Calamari...so started with that. For our entree, my husband ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and I ordered the Chicken Milanese Alfredo. We also got a side of Broccoli. Well, all I can say is that I'm now a fan. I really liked their Crispy Calamari. Bit smaller in cut than most, but I liked the batter and the mix of veggies. I was also impressed with my entree, Chicken Milanese Alfredo. It was such a generous portion, I couldn't eat all...but thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also nicely presented. I enjoyed the Broccoli too...very fresh, though it was quite basic. My husband seemed to like the foods as well. In fact, we both thought that the foods here were better than what we had at Firebirds or 131 Main, the two restaurants that we always felt were similar to Burton's (American food). I could be wrong, but I felt that Burton's was a tad more sophisticated, with a more fusion mix. Also, I thought the foods are presented much better here...always a bonus! However, this place has the most detailed waitstaff I've come across, bringing the rating up to where it is. Burtons Bar & Grill has been on my list for a while. I have heard nothing but great things, especially about their top-notch service and attentiveness to allergies and dietary restrictions. After finally making my way over to the Park Road Shopping Center location, I can see why people speak so highly of it. From the moment I sat down, my waitress, Sadie, made the experience even better. She was friendly, accommodating, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to answer my questions and made great recommendations, which only reinforced what I had heard about the restaurant's excellent service. Their menu covers all the bases with classic American appetizers, burgers, soups, salads, grain bowls, handhelds, steaks, seafood, and pastas. Whether you are craving something casual or a more elevated entrée, Burtons seems to have something for everyone. Two dishes that immediately caught my attention were the lobster roll and the jumbo lump crab cake. Sadie mentioned the crab cake has minimal filler, just enough to hold it together. With so many tempting options, I already know I will be back soon. For this visit, I wanted something lighter and ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad, swapping the chicken for grilled shrimp. The salad was made with romaine lettuce, BBQ glaze, black beans, bacon, corn, cheddar cheese, tortilla strips, and a house-made BBQ ranch dressing. Since I am not a fan of grape tomatoes or raw red onions, I asked for them to be left out. The portion was generous, and I could not finish it all. The shrimp were perfectly grilled, the toppings were plentiful, and the romaine was fresh and crisp. If you prefer a lighter touch with dressing, I suggest asking for it on the side. There was quite a bit tossed in, which some may find overwhelming. I also have to mention the sweet tea. It struck a nice balance, not overwhelmingly sugary like candy but sweet enough to meet Southern standards. Burtons made a solid first impression, and I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. read more

The first time I dined here, it was decent. The second time, it was just okay. I love the decor and atmosphere. I also like that you don't need a reservation to dine, and it's not overly crowded. From my initial visit, the margarita was pretty good. The short rib grilled cheese on ciabatta was okay. It had a hint of flavor, but that is something that has to be served hot so the cheese doesn't dry up. The firecracker shrimp were good.  From my most recent visit, the latte was what I enjoyed the most. The buffalo chicken dip was pretty tasty and had a hot sauce kick. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was not good. The chicken was extremely bland, the waffle was cold and had a chalky taste, and I have had better sausage gravy in the school system. It came straight from a pack, and they probably just added water.  Again, we were in the area and appreciated being able to dine without a crowd or wait; however, I can understand why those are the circumstances. read more

Tried this place while in town on business. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We tried the calamari and the tuna tar tar for starters. Both were good and the tuna sat on a unique bed of cream cheese and sour cream. My friend had the crab crusted haddock which he really enjoyed. Another had the risotto which also was tasty and quite a large serving. I had the chimichurri steak frites. The garlic was a little heavy and the meat didn't seam to have marinated long. Visited Burton's Grill & Bar for a Yelp event and really enjoyed it! I tried everything on the passed apps menu except the chips & guac and crab cake sliders--and everything else was solid. The Bang Bang Broccoli was my favorite. It was crispy, flavorful, and the ginger aioli was perfect. The General Tso Chicken Skewers were also sweet, savory, and tender. The Nashville Hot Chicken Slider had a nice crunch and good flavor, but it didn't hit my spice level. Still tasty, just not very hot. The atmosphere was cute and relaxed, great for casual vibes or a small group hangout. One heads up: don't sit near the patio doors if it's hot outside...that heat rolls in and makes it less comfy. read more

We went here for my friend Birthday. It was a group of six of us and only the birthday girl had been here before. Our waitress, Sadie was friendly and shared with us the specials for that day. She was knowledgeable and gave her opinions which helped us make our decisions. I ordered the Crab Cakes and substituted the side and coleslaw for truffle fries and broccoli. Their crab cake is all MEAT no filler. Once Sadie told me that I was excited. The truffle fries weren't as good as the sweet potato fries. My sisters ordered the classic Cheeseburger and the other the Veggie Burger. Birthday girl went with the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto which is her go to meal.
