My son's buoyancy control is impressive and he is so much more comfortable in the water. Anthony is amazing - it's truly a gift to find such a knowledgeable, kind and patient diving instructor. The gear they stick is high quality and if they don't have something in store, they can quickly get it at a reasonable price and will help troubleshoot, modify and service what they sell. I feel lucky to have a dive store like this in the area. Highly recommended!

Our issue was time. With summer sports and activities and the impending start of a new school year, our options were limited. Anthony worked with me to craft a private program that both my grandson and husband would love. I've been a PADI certified diver since 2002, so I did a refresher course while they worked for their open water certification. Anthony arranged a pool dive and four open water dives. All were executed seamlessly. He is experienced, has high standards, but also made the course fun! His shop is beautiful and provides excellent equipment, both for sale and rent. So glad we chose SLO Ocean Currents!

They taste great but the decorating on the cakes is so poor it looks like a drunk oaf decorated them. There should not be cake crumbs mixed with frosting all over the sides. That's amateurish. The designs are very very poorly executed. A real mess. How about some staff training? Update. My adult daughter said the cake also didn't taste right. I thought it was more sugary taste than usual. Maybe missing vanilla flavoring. Idk. It's probably a mix anyway. I'm sure it not made from scratch. May 30, 2026.

Monday, 9AM is my weekly Costco trip, I should probably only go if I need something, because, and we all know this, you walk out with stuff you didn't intend on buying. Am I right? I've only been an executive member for going on 3 years now, the first year, I didn't go to Costco, but since retiring it's a weekly trip and usually there will be something on the Costco list we need. The SLO location is great for me, about 30 minutes from Paso, easily accessible, lots of parking, Costco gas and the reliable food court we have grown to love. I walk the store weekly, never in a hurry to get in and out, but the only time I've seen it really crowded was Thanksgiving week, 2025, but even then it was manageable once inside, it never felt crowded and the check out lives, including self check weren't a long wait. I feel the employees do a great job keeping the store stocked and clean, making it easy to navigate. I have use the optometry department, which was very easy, albeit a little bit of a wait to be served. They took all three of my prescriptions and I found a frame and a few weeks I picked my glasses up. Since then, they have repaired them once, no charge. If you need glasses, get them filled at Costco, so easy, good selection. Overall, I am happy with their selection, there are things I wish they would stock, miso marinated sablefish and Tejava being two of those items. It's nice to see some new items as I stroll the aisle and overall it's s great experience in SLO. Can't forget that hotdog meal on the way out, still a deal at $1.50!

Unfortunately, there is little room to look at this selection and comfortably try any shoes on. In fact, it can get downright claustrophobic and crowded, which makes for a very unsatisfying shopping experience. The overall quality of the shoes is good, but you had better be prepared to pay for that quality because the prices are extremely high. I would recommend Roxanne's if you are looking for ballerina shoes and tights for your little girl, or if you are in need for some sturdy slippers for some at-home lounging.

We were informed by a young man that he had already closed out his register and if we wanted to purchase our shoes we had to pay in cash. I'm sorry but I don't carry $200 in cash these days. Not sure why the door was open or why we weren't told that upon entering. We weren't the only ones... a couple were there to buy crocks and they were told the same and immediately left. If I was the owner of this store I'd be very upset!
