Smelly old cat food can stuffs behind couch
    Nick B.

We stayed here a few years back and had an awesome time and decided to come back, however the quality of the establishment is much morse than we remember. We arrived in time for check-in however they asked us to come back in a half hour so they could clean our room...I don't know how good a job they can do cleaning a small cabin in 30 minutes but we didn't really think much of it at the time. There were ever enough towels and while we were out skiing for the day, housekeeping came in only to drop off a facecloth and a note telling us not to use them to take off makeup or they will charge us. The beds had stains, there were empty rotten cans of cat food behind and under the sofa, and live cockroaches running up the walls periodically. Needless to say we will NEVER be staying here again. Which is a shame because it is close to some of the main attractions of the area. Good thing there are plenty other places near by!

So cuuute. Nice ride, yeah? Where my truck is is another room. The suite is the small house.

Okay, I feel the purpose of Yelping is to help others make a decision with all the facts, as I would want in a review. I hope this helps you. This spot is a diamond in the rough. It is really, really sweet. I will not be contrary to any of the other reviews, however. I believe it was left alone for awhile until this family saw what I see. The personal love for the property was displayed by the owners. They without question upgraded us to the suite. Long story about nothing, I must have clean air. I got it, even at 8 degrees when we really couldn't open the windows. So, I got everything I needed in the pet friendly, suite. It was NOT dirty. Neither, pet friendly, room/suite that I saw, was dirty. No Vermon. Nothing like that. I checked the bed, trust me!! Give these owners some time and it will be lovely, again. Cannot beat the price. At least, we couldn't. I brought them only one, constructive criticism. The Stars and Stripes out front needed to be relieved of duty. The gentleman immediately started to rush to show me the order he had already placed for a new flag. I was delighted as you can probably tell. Again, #4 little bungalow was cool. I could see the on ramp for Franconia Highway. Close to everything. Epic spot. Hot water and heat was fine on a very cold weekend. Give them a try. I would stay there again. He even knew how to dispose of the flag. That was so cool to me, having always served my State of NH.

I can not give this place a rating. If there was a negative a million i would. This place is infested with mice and mold. Holes in the screens just disgusting. We arrived late at night so we didn't notice how awful it was until the morning. We were so grossed out. I do not recommend staying here.

Check-in was quick and easy. One thing I wasn't told, though, was that your room key is needed not only to use the elevator but also to activate the lights in your room. Thankfully, I've stayed at hotels with this feature before, or I probably would have been pretty confused. The resort is huge, so if you're bringing a lot of luggage, definitely grab a luggage cart. It'll save you from making multiple trips. I also reserved a room with what I thought would be two queen beds, but it turned out to be one queen bed and a pull-out couch. After a few nights on the pull-out mattress, my back was definitely feeling it. Another thing to know is that the in-room refrigerator doesn't have a freezer. Luckily, I brought my portable electric fridge/freezer cooler, so I just plugged it in on the balcony and kept all of our food in there. The outdoor grills are a great feature, and we cooked steaks a couple of nights. Just be aware there aren't any grilling utensils provided, so bring your own if you plan on cooking. We also had dogs staying next door that barked almost nonstop, especially whenever people walked down the hallway. It was a little annoying, but I'm a dog lover, so I wasn't going to complain. My room also felt on the smaller side. If we came back during snowboard season with all of our winter gear, I think space would be pretty tight. Now for the good... The resort is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. There's really no reason to leave the property. Between the winery, the upscale Italian restaurant, and the pub-style restaurant, there are plenty of great dining options. Both restaurants offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy food and drinks by the pool. The food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The pools and hot tubs are outstanding honestly, they're comparable to what you'd expect at a Disney resort. There are also tons of activities for kids, including poolside movies on a projection screen, arts and crafts, ice cream events, and guided hikes. It really feels like a place where families can make lasting memories. I don't usually work out while I'm on vacation, but the fitness center here is so nice that I had to use it. It's honestly the kind of gym I'd pay a membership for. I even took one of the spin classes, which was a great experience. The only thing I didn't see was a sauna. Maybe there is one somewhere on the property and I just couldn't find it, but if there isn't, that would be a huge missed opportunity especially during the winter months after a long day on the slopes. I'll definitely be coming back, and I could honestly see myself buying a timeshare here someday. The only thing that surprised me was that no one ever asked if I wanted a tour or gave me a sales pitch. I don't know if they just aren't pushing timeshare sales as hard as other resorts, but I was expecting to at least be asked. Overall: 4.5/5 stars. A few small improvements would make this place nearly perfect, but it's an outstanding family resort and one I'd happily recommend.

On March 11, 2026 when I write this review they had one lift and barely two runs open from the midstation. The slopes that were half open were half covered with snow. This is when all of their competitors had ample snow and had almost all their slopes open (not glades but that's always hit or miss). When we asked for a refund the manager smirked and made comments about their policies and basically blamed us for not reading the report from the day before. So when Cannon gives you dangerous conditions and one twentieth of the area open they say too bad and that's our policy lump it. Incredible. The state of NH that runs this mountain is running it like the Motor Vehicle Registry. This was the second time I was there and absolutely the last. Such a shame. They couldn't even acquire Mittersill correctly. Cannon is the worst ski experience I have had in my life and the people who run it make it even worse and that's difficult to do but they aced it! If I was the NH governor I would fire everyone who was working at Cannon today based on total incompetence.

While their lift tickets can be a bit pricy, hitting them up during the shoulder seasons can help with affordability. I've been here in both early winter and late spring and found the trails to be in good condition! As someone who sticks to the greens with an occasional blue mixed in, their trails offer enough variety to keep me entertained throughout the day. I like having my pick of 4 chairlifts and a gondola to check out different sections of the mountain. On my last visit, there was a very challenging weather day the day before my visit and it was clear the staff were hard at work overnight to groom the trails. Throughout the day, they were actively working to open additional trails (at which they were very successful) as well as firing the snow machines to get other parts of the mountain open as soon as possible. The lower lodge is straightforward, offering plenty of seating to change into your ski boots and eat a meal. The food is pricy but we always try to make sure we have options out in the car to manage our costs throughout the day. That isn't unique to this ski resort of course though. The upper lodge at the top of the gondola is nice as well. Unlike the lower lodge, their bathrooms are on the same level as the entrance so no having to manage stairs in clunky boots. The coaster is clearly marked and when we got there, the line was very small. We had a timed ticket so we had unlimited rides for two hours. We rode the coaster a total of three times (took just over 30 minutes total) and that was plenty. It was a lot of fun and it's a thrill going through the trees so quickly...even the ride up is fun and scenic. There are a lot of staff helping on-board and off-board riders and they were all very friendly and helpful. The ride is safe for all ages and we saw little kids riding with their parents, youngsters riding alone (if they met the height requirement) and even grandparents riding it.
