Hidden jewel for sure... Great place for breakfast or lunch. Must be fun in the summer with outdoor seating. Service was very pleasant and efficient from the beginning. Definitely worth the slightly high prices... Getting natural quality ingredients, good service and nice atmosphere... I tipped on top because places like this are rare. Bar or table seating... Order at counter and food comes to you. I will certainly be back. And BTW, if you are looking for cheap food, stick with McD's or if you are so upset that they didn't make their employees work on Labor Da and give a one star review, well, both of you are self centered and shouldn't be screwing up a business's reviews over silly sh**. You should be ashamed... 15 seconds for you but they have to live with an unfair review forever.

I was shocked to see so many negative reviews of this place - I'm not quite sure where they came from. We had a lovely experience here. We stopped here for breakfast this morning and this place was so cute, had great customer service, and good food. The menu is relatively small, but this place is so mindful of dietary restrictions and offers vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. They have pastries in addition to their full menu as well. The staff was super friendly and had great customer service. I didn't catch our server's name, but one of the people in our group didn't love the food that she ordered - she ordered oatmeal and didn't realize it was made with milk. The server offered to refund us for the purchase and remake the meal and was so sweet and understanding. The space itself was charming and had plenty of booths and tables for people to sit. We're looking forward to coming back here!

Food was good but the juice was very expensive. Two French toast breakfast with three juices was over $40. I would recommend it but recommend getting the self serve water. My friend got the breakfast burrito and he said that was good.

Hinesburg is a small town with few options for restaurants, that is especially true for breakfast. Parkside Cafe is really our only cafe in town. While it had a rocky beginning, under new management it is a great spot. They are improving daily. Standard breakfast options like eggs, house granola, and pastries, but some excellent choices such as egg burritos, egg tacos, egg bagel sandwiches, and more. I have been loving the lunch options, many sandwiches, wraps, meat and veggie options. Coffee is good, espresso is decent. But what you have to come here for now is the tacos, empeñadas and quesadillas! The new owner is making everything in house and bringing amazing authentic Mexican and Dominican food to the menu. It's so good. Can't get a lot of this anywhere else. The staff here is super friendly. The owner is always taking time to talk with and get to know her customers. I spend many days a week in here for class, meetings and catching up with friends. They take Covid precautions but allow indoor dining! Please come out to Parkside with a good friend and enjoy good conversation over excellent food.

Wow! Amazing food. The sandwich croissant came with scrambled eggs, I wanted over easy eggs and I had no problem with switching them. The two sweet young ladies at the front were such great help! They were patient and very kind. (Bianca and Brie). The tea was Vermont made. Also VERY kid friendly! Between the food and customer service, I wish I could give this place 10 stars!

Been here before a while back and it was strained. This time the atmosphere and ambiance were much improved. It's a pub-casual environment and feels relaxed and casual. The service was good, and prompt. No complaints. The primary issue on this review was that I ordered the Buffalo Schnitzel. I had thought it was going to be with some buffalo sauce, but balanced, as the menu simply describes it as "tenderized pork loin, panko fried, buffalo sauce, Caeser salad, bacon, blue cheese" But unfortunately it came out with at least a 1/4 cup of Frank's Red Hot drenching the top of the meat. It so overwhelmed everything, and was not brushed on or anything. Will return to try other options but this visit was a miss.

Service was quick and efficient. We went on a Monday night and all the outside tables were full. I appreciate that they have overflow with picnic table seating and activities outside for kids. That said, prices are definitely inflated a bit, and that would keep me from making this a regular dining spot.

It was only for myself and I was a pleased when they were able to get me a seat at the bar right away. It was a very busy Saturday morning but I was helped right away. I chose this restaurant due to them having vegan options and I remember how good it was when I got it in Portland, Maine. The employees were friendly, the food was great. I got the vegan scramble and pancakes (highly recommend)!

Last year, I remember the pancakes being super fluffy and satisfying. They may have changed the menu in the past year, because now they're vegan and gluten-free, and you can tell. A bit dry, not as fluffy, and smaller than I recall. Definitely need syrup, but I do love that you get a little bottle of real maple syrup with them. Some vegan butter could help them but this place doesn't stock that. I also ordered a side of tofu scramble (again, just ran a marathon) and it was very dry. However, I asked for hot sauce and tried their housemade maple turmeric hot sauce and that made the dish. Not too sweet, not too spicy - they should sell this by the bottle! Five stars for atmosphere. If you want a fun diner experience that's cute and not dingy, Friendly Toast delivers. Drinks-wise, I just ordered black coffee. It's very dark and very strong. I watched the bartender and he was making some fun-looking drinks ... can't comment on how they taste but the little juice flight looked appealing (and Instagram-worthy).
