The vibe is awesome with brick walls, tasteful decor, and pleasant music, and just what I look for in a local coffee shop. Prices are fairly reasonable with many drink and food options. Although there was a bit of line when I visited, it moved quickly and staff was efficient in getting ordered items out to guests. I went with a white mocha frappe (5/5), asking for it to be made less sweet. It's not something I ordinarily see on the menu at local coffee shops, so was delighted at how good it was, with just the right amount of sweetness to it. It's shame that there's nothing like it at coffee shops close to where I live, as it's something that'd be in my regular rotation of caffeinated drinks I'd order. As my friends and I enjoyed our experience here, I'd definitely return to Black & Brew, and would recommend them to others looking for a quality coffee shop in Lakeland.

We spent our first half hour in the kitty lounge petting many a friendly cat and were thrilled that a few were comfy enough to crawl into our laps. Our hearts melted! Cats are all healthy and well cared for, and the space is clean with LOTS of seating, cat towers, cat beds and play toys around. Of course, we fell head over heels in love with many of them. Afterwards we each enjoyed amazing desserts and beverages, served on an ultra-clean dining room with nice and comfortable chairs. The desserts were off-the-chart amazing! So were the coffee and other beverages. The kind gentleman who guided us and served our snacks during our visit was very gracious and friendly.
