We just moved to the area and heard great things about this place. A small, intimate place with a comfortble feel. We were not disappointed. The service ( by Sean) was terrific. We were checked on at reasonable intervals and he was very pleasant. The food was very good although the ribeye could be a little less fatty, but was tasty all the same. They have a diverse menu which should please everyone's palat's. I didn't read the negative reviews but some are hard to please no matter what and even the best places have their faults now and then. But not on this visit. If you're visiting MB or NMB i would recommend The Parkway Bistro to anyone. We will be going back on a regular basis. Thanks guys! read more

So far, only had the Old World Eggplant. It's different from the usual eggplant parmigiana because they use provolone instead. Another eggplant dish does use ricotta and is also pretty good. Sorry to report, however, sauce is acidic and the calamari is rather substandard. When a neighborhood used frozen calamari that's not a problem, but the squid just ain't good. Had to toss it upon first bite. I still like the place, and looking forward to trying other things on the menu. I'll update when I do. read more

Stopped in this week while house hunting. I had a 9.95 sausage and peppers over pasta dinner special. Delicious and bargain of the week. Wife had a 15.00 steak. Very tough and she said no taste. I had to give her some of my sauce for her to eat it. Definitely a place for locals. Since we bought a house..will be back for another try. We visited in May 2016 and it was fantastic! All of the staff members were super friendly and the food was sooooooo delicious! We ordered entrees and dessert - everything came out as good as expected. We entered the restaurant hungry and we left completely satisfied! They serve you a good portion of food and the wait staff always makes sure you have a full glass of water. A fellow golfer recommended this restaurant. What a great find! Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. They are happy to guide you if you have menu questions. It is a small place so I would make a reservation. I had Mussels over pasta. The number of mussels was impressive. It all tasted fresh. My friend ordered a specialty burger. Her eyes nearly popped out when she saw the size of it. And it was tasty and juicy. We had no room for dessert but will know to order less next time so we can sample that, too. What a hidden Gem, who would have thought that a nondescript strip mall could have such a Gem of an Italian restaurant. We ate there tonight and what a pleasant surprise. The food was very good, a nice atmosphere, very quick service and very reasonably priced. Back again! After a fantastic meal the last time we returned with a friend and neighbor. Dropped from five star to four and here is why, I ordered the grilled Grouper. Should have ordered the stuffed Grouper I guess. Before I get into it my wife and friend loved their order and they did look good. Mine was thin and smelled of not being so fresh, it had ample lemon to over come the smell and was not so thin it was not moist. Still disappointed because I expected it to flake and it could not. The flavor was not bad but not great so maybe I was expecting it to be high quality like my last meal there. The salad was first rate and the potato's were fine. Like before the service was excellent. Not giving up but would not order the grouper again, must stick with Italian dishes from now on when there. Remember if you like grouper order stuffed or it may be too thin and don't order baked when it is thin unless you want it to be tough along the edges. Maybe they will see this and correct the issue by ordering fish of better quality especially considering they are so close to the ocean or raise the price so they can afford to serve thicker portions. read more

We have tried to dine here three times. It is nearly invisible to be able to find. We finally did find it one night around 7pm. The sign was not on and it was closed. Even if you are closed leave your sign on so people can find the place. Not sure if we will travel out 9 again to try this place. We finally were able to get back to PARKWAY BISTRO and try it out. Food was great. I am glad we found an Italian restaurant close to our home that we could include in our dining rotation as we dine out a lot. read more

Just went for the first time today. A very nice small bistro with an open view kitchen. The service was very good and the staff was great. Food was very good as I had the Chicken Parm which was great and the wife had a Rueben which was delish. Prices are fair and portions are also nice. My in-laws brought us here today for dinner and absolutely delicious! I had the Italian wedding soup which was definitely homemade and just amazing. Could have had a giant bowl for dinner. I got the veal with the eggplant and switched out the angel hair with seasonal veggies. Good size portions with great simple flavor. Probably my favorite Italian restaurant so far in SC! My friends invited me to dinner Sunday afternoon. I had never eaten there before even though I live around the corner. I'm glad I went. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. I had the Blackened Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo and it was such a large portion I took some home for lunch the next day and it was just as good as it was the night before. The bread was baked in house and delicious and the salad dressing was delicious. Unfortunately I ate so much I didn't have room for dessert. Came in with my family at 8:30, they were closing at 9 that night, and the staff stayed open late for us, very friendly and quick the whole time. Our waitress did not give off an attitude of "please let me go home" like I might expect staff to at a group coming in that close to closing. Holy Cannoli....what an amazing dinner we just had. Members of our party had lasagna (the last 3 servings), chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, Mr. Collins burger and chicken philly sub with onion rings. The onion rings were HUGE!!! We also had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Some had the french onion soup and the rest had salad. The blue cheese dressing was great. Wow, wow, and wow. I was introduced to this restaurant earlier in the week by gal friends. I was so impressed with how good everyone's lunch was, that I wanted to bring my husband back for dinner. It was exceptional. I had the steak and shrimp risotto with mushrooms and basil. My husband had the Parmesan encrusted pork chops. In between bites, all we could say was wow. Out of a 10 this place is definitely a 20. The staff is wonderful. Ed is a brilliant chef who truly cared how everyone was enjoying their meal. The portions are amazing as are the prices. Parkway Bistro will now be our go to place. I recommend it highly. read more
