But as it stands, I've been here only once in my adult life and that was for my birthday last year. The decor and ambiance are so choice. I had a big glass of pinot noir with thick legs and a heavy price tag. Then I had another. I wasn't sure what I wanted for my third, so the waiter brought two tastes of his recommendations. That was nice of him. My husband's Ketel One martini, a little dirty, was just the way he liked it. My father-in-law was talked into the whole catfish. It tasted nice, but this is enough food for a family of 5, so exercise caution when ordering. Fish is not one of those things that you can pop in a to go container and eat later. It was barely touched and a huge waste of money. And I can still see it looking at me as if to ask, "Why? Why me?" I don't remember what I had (three glasses of wine, for sure... maybe that's why), but I know I loved every bite. The service was superb, the bathroom facilities spotless, and the lighting flattering. I got the catfish and omg its was sooooooo good. Very filling and i am sad I didn't even finish it. In fact I was pretty close to picking up the fish and eating it with my hands. SOo crunchy and the sauce to dip made it even more yummlelicious. I know thats not a word but it in my vocabulary when its in my tummy. I really would have eaten like a pig if i wasn't on a date. lol I also go their desert. O M G!! thats all i can tell you i should post up the photo of my desert shortly but it was was soo good. Always good long time institution of Pasadena for nice evenings out or celebrations, classy yet not pretentious. You can make a whole night out of a four course meal here. Same owners as the arroyo chop house which is another great meat lovers haven. I can't find anything wrong with their menu or service - true California cuisine that is consistent. I came here with a group of friends a month ago to celebrate a promotion for a friend. What a better way than to dress up, dine and wine the night away. We got seated in a secluded room with only a handful of tables. A big round table was more than enough to fit our drinks, entrees, side orders, and utensils. I'm used to eating at hole in the wall or trendy places in LA where space is limited and you feel like you are talking to your neighbors! I ordered the filet mignon. The steak was cooked to perfection. They did offer about three different sauces for the steak. I enjoyed all three, but honestly could have eaten it all without anything. Asparagus was nicely charred and grilled. Brought out a smokey flavor to the dish. We also ordered a lobster quiche side that was a special for the night. It was a hit or miss because sometimes I tasted the lobster and other times I didn't. Overall I did enjoy that side very much because of it's creaminess. Mash potatoes- not a big fan generally but the mash potatoes here at parkway grill complimented all the other things on my plate. I had to top it off with a nice glass of Pinot Noir and I couldn't tell you how good that was!!! Although I don't live in the area anymore, this is my favorite restaurant in the Pasadena area. We would always go there for celebrations. Promotions, birthdays and such. Its too hard to say what is the best on the menu because its all exceptional. The pizza is a must have and so is desert. Not sure how long Parkway Grill has been in business but I have been going there for at least 20 years. Its longevity alone speaks volumes. My only complaint is that I live so far away. There are only two restaurants in Pasadena to which I'll give 5 stars, and both of them are Smith Brothers establishments. While Smitty's is a place you go to for yourself, Parkway is a place to take someone else: a date, your wife on your anniversary, your Mom on her birthday, your boss, a business client, or anyone you want to impress. I won't take issue with any of the other reviews I've read on the first page. I've never had a bad experience here, but no place can please everyone. This place is classy without being snobby, and therefore it's not inexpensive. But if the menu item sounds appealing, then order it - you'll enjoy it. If you haven't been here in more than two years, give it a try; they changed head chefs in late 2008 and as would be expected, he needed some time to hit his stride. My wife and I usually eat in the bar unless we're treating someone to a special dinner. My wife knows all of the bartenders by name and has been a bar regular for 20 years. Frequently when we've eaten somewhere else, we'll come here and sit in the bar for late drinks and dessert. I like the crab cakes and the carpaccio - oh, and the cheese plate is decadent. My wife will recommend the cocoa crepes, stuffed with lobster or the flat bread. The desserts change, but there's always something wonderful. read more

So I was taken here, at my request, for one of my birthday dinners. I have heard so many good things about it, I thought I must try. I wanted to see their herb and vegetable garden, but apparently, to my disappointment, you need an appointment to see that. The first thing I noticed was the wave of NOISE when we opened the front door. For such a nice place (and full of older people), you would think it would be a bit more quiet. But the service was attentive and the dcor classy, but not stuffy. I was impressed with the bread basket (cone). Several different types, including cheese sticks and crisp flat breads. We started out with the gorgonzola/pear flat bread since so many suggested here suggested it. And I'm glad you all did. I don't even like gorgonzola cheese, or cooked fruit with my savory food, but there wasn't too much cheese, just enough for flavor and it complemented the pears perfectly. Unfortunately he forgot to bring out this appetizer and I had to ask for it during our meal. But that's okay, we packed it all up and I had it for a snack the next day. His garden salad was quite nice with a mild dressing and my bean soup was quite good, but the cilantro sauce on top was so miniscule. It needed more. For the meal we had the seared duck and the mesquite filet mignon. Each dish was about $35. Expect small portions. My duck breast was quite good. Cooked just right and not too fatty. It came with a tiny grilled dark duck meat sandwich with cheese and pears. Yummy! I didn't really get the banana Brule it came with that was just a banana cut in half, standing on end like a big erection on my plate, with just the very tip seared. *shrug*. I would rather have had some vegetables. I am not a beef person, but the filet mignon was awesome. And when he left the table for a bit, I was snatching bites of it. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and some crispy potato wall thingy around it to make it purty. I really thought there would be more veggies and herbs since they boast their garden. Oh well. We tried desserts that he said were brand new that day. Hazelnut crunch cake and lemon custard. Both were really good. I think next time though, I would get the Kobe burger or the whole cat fish, because scoping out other people's plates, I could see these were BIG portions for the same price. Yup. read more

You've got a pianist playing some jazzy tune in the background.. while you're sipping on a rich glass of wine.. it's kind of a casually elegant place good for a dinner date and/or a special occasion dinner with friends/family. Here's what to order: Appetizer: -Special cheese bread topped with pecan brittle with raspberry caramel vinaigrette -Crab cakes - they just updated this, I like it - it now comes with sliced avocado stuffed with crab meat -Cocoa crepe lobster - this is delicious.. the sauce is amazing.. -Poached pear salad - special surprise in the pear! The BEST FILET EVAH! Old school, classic American fine dining - think low lit wood paneled room with a menu of classic foods like steak, grilled lamb, crabcakes, and with impeccable service (from Lance) in a room full of older white people. So I admit that I'm a NY strip girl (no not that kind!) - I likes flavah! But I was talked into the filet by Lance - who steered me right. It was the tastiest and most tender filet. I didn't miss the fatty goodness of a strip. I also had the tuna tartar and tried the BF's blue cheese salad - both were awesome - nothing fancy or unusual, just really great ingredients and well executed. Downsides - the mushroom/potato sides with the filet were downright bland. The desserts were good..... but nothing that I haven't had before and I've had better too. read more

I decided to revisit one of the most popular and well respected restaurants in Pasadena. The Parkway Grill has been awardeded-congragulated -praised for over twenty years. Would it pass the Peter Dills' test? Sure , with flying Colors. Why is The Parkway Grill so successful, I believe owners Gregg and Bob Smith will settle for nothing less. Am I giving you a "homer" review? Nope!!! Paid for my own meal and in fact still not sure if I can give the Spit Fire a thumbs up yet. But let's stick to the task at hand. On my last visit, .....seems that I have been here a hundred times, I decided to sit in the bar for lunch I wanted to keep on eye on CNBC in hopes that my stock my actually break even. My server was Kevin and he gleefully handed me The Chef's Lunch Spring menu. A two course meal at $20, what a lunch special at Parkway Grill????? Have the Martians landed, is The Russian Army on the 210 freeway? Seems that the owners have felt the bite along with the rest of us. First course is your choice of a salad or soup of the moment, I opted for the Caesar Salad, ahhh perfect, Caeser Cardina would be very proud!!! The Romaine was prefect and the croutons were mixed correctly with the dressing. We are off to a very good start. Second Course, was a choice of Angel hair pasta with shrimp, tiki salad, pizza and my final choice the Kobe Burger, again I'm two for two- the meat is grilled to a prefect medium and topped with Maytag blue cheese dressing, all with a very generous handful of sweet potato fries. All in all two thumbs way up!!! Parkway Grill always is a great choice and today's lunch was no different. Consider the dinner specials as well, it's a three course meal for $45. We were three guys on our way to a friends party, who's idea of party food is boxed pizza and canned beer. So we decided at the last minute to get a good dinner before the party. I think our first phone call confirmed a 45 minute wait and our second to the Parkway Grill offered a table in their private room that they had just opened. Pulled into the valet parking and as we walked in felt just a bit under dressed for the environment. We were met by a fine looking hostess and that confirmed out last minute reservation and walked us past the piano and bass combo to our table. We were quickly greeted by a very polite and attentive server and proceeded to order a round of drinks and glance through the menu. This was not a huge menu but seemed to have all of the bases covered, seafood, salads and meat dishes. We asked to hear the specials and I chose the veal and risotto special and both my brother an our friend had the New York steak dishes. The food was very very good. We all thought that our meat dishes were prepared spot on as were the side dishes. Funny that a a food review should dedicate so little space to the food but what more can you say about a good piece of meat fixed just right. We wrapped up our pre-party dinner and all left very satisfied and staying away from the wine list but not skimping on the drinks kept the bill at about 100.00 per person with the tip. can u say overpriced? for a $36 filet mignon- u'd think it would have more flavor... i mean it was tender and cooked to perfection (medium well- slightly pink) with mushrooms and marsala wine reduction but seriously lacked in taste. I was disappointed. The mashed potatoes were so-so also. I was disappointed...so da sad.... Oh and our waiter didn't tell us the specials either! I heard another waiter telling specials to the table next to us and would have chosen one of the specials instead if I was given a choice! UGH!!! The crabcakes were crispy on the outside with dungeonous goodness but damn it was the size of a 50 cent coin for almost 20 bucks!! The bf had the shelton chicken. It was so so bread basket was pretty and my basil lime martini was way too strong. My bf's chicken was better. This place is pretty fancy. Make sure you come decently dressed. I ended up leaving my jacket on during the whole meal because I was wearing a Tokidoki t-shirt. Most of the customers here are older. I definitely felt like we were the youngest of the crowd. So due to the hype with the catfish, I ordered the catfish. The catfish is huge!! The menu says whole fried catfish and literally it is the whole catfish - from head to tail. I really didn't know how to attack it, but my husband just went at it as if he were eating it in a Chinese restaurant (kinda cute actually) Seriously, this fish is something we would order for family style dinner - big enough to feed a family of four. Growing up eating fish, this is something we would normally eat at a regular family dinner, so I don't know if it was really worth the money. I think I would've preferred the fish steamed (probably the Chinese roots in me). My husband ordered the new york. That was pretty good. Lots of flavor. We finished our meal with the creme brulee. Not your normal creme brulee. It's actually custard sandwiched in between layers of crisp phyllo squares. The crispy layers were a nice balance to the custard. Definitely a nice place for a business meeting or to impress someone. read more

We've been here a few times over the years, most recently with a couple of friends last week. Let me just mention the idiotic AC that I like to complain about in all my reviews. Hideous! Moronic! Imagine a perfectly pleasant evening outside, then boom! You step inside and temperatures have plummeted to sub zero, so people are sitting there all bundled up in their winter jackets while they eat. How can you enjoy your experience like that?? So we mentioned this right off the bat of course- not once but twice, and they did eventually turn the AC down which made things considerably more comfortable. Service was a little strange. The hosts were pleasant and professional, but our server was kind of rushed and minimalistic and didn't seem to have the friendliest attitude which was a bit off-putting. The food was really great. My companions all had the NY steak which was cooked perfectly and delicious, while I had the salmon, which was another dish of high quality. Portions were exactly right. We also love their endless bread basket but the butter that comes with it is way too stingy - barely enough for one person. This is one of those well established places that caters to a slightly older clientele, but what's nice about it is that they haven't let standards fall by the wayside with the passing of time. The décor could do with a gentle refresh perhaps, but it has a certain charm to it as well. Hip, young, trendy and crazy this place is not, but overall, it is a cozy, comfortable and classy restaurant with decent food and a relaxing vibe; we had fun and will happily continue to revisit every now and again... read more

Wow... so many fancy cars in their lot. That's probably what sticks out most in my mind since that was the first thing I noticed when I turned into their lot. They have valet service but no flat rate. Everything you pay will be in tip. As for the restaurant itself... the ambiance is nice. There's a piano for some live music. But the walls are a bit plain. I had myself a Chilean Sea Bass. It came out kind of small compared to the giant Catfish that Lillian H. got. Still, it was good. The server was nice and very tall. It felt weird talking to him while seated in my chair. And they were quick to clean our table once we were finished. I'm reading Kien V.'s review complaining about the special of the night and I'll have to agree on that one. The price on my special Chilean Sea Bass ($40)... and the size... if it wasn't for Lillian's catfish, I probably would've left hungry, too. But hey, it's called specialfor a reason, and it was good, so if you drive one of those nice cars I saw in the lot, by all means, get your sea bass! or two! or three! read more

Parkway Grill.. came here for a business lunch. The service was not as good as I would have imagined for the premium price we paid. The ambiance was very nice- reminded me of an upscale place at Disneyland or something. The bathrooms were very nice, mahogany wood, orchids, stone, and TV sets above the urinal. SCORE! We had 8 people at our table and they squeezed us in the back corner with really little elbow room. NOT IMPRESSED. This was after 2 weeks notice prior. The food was descent. I tried the daily special fish which was sea bass in a lemon mashed potato and zucchini thing. Quite bland if you ask me... and the fish was lightly seasoned. I felt it was overcooked a bit for my taste. My co-workers all had some great stuff though- the steak sandwich was served open faced with a generous portion of steak. My other co-worker got the fillet. Looked quite delicious and juicy. The annoying thing was that they ran out of what we really wanted- which was the short ribs. The bread basket however was quite impressive. Filled with delicious cornbread (really good!) bread sticks, flat bread, etc. etc. Very delicious. Too bad the butter they gave us was frozen and very un-spreadable. I hate when that happens. We also ordered their signature flat bread with Gorgonzola and pear. Delicious. Must try this! Very good! Aside from my wobbly chair, the forgetfulness of our waiter with the specials, the shortage of short ribs, and the table size... it was alright. This is somewhere to bring your parents to. Parkway Grill, you looked so gorgeous, you smelled good, and you were so friendly, only to disappoint me once I got to know you... Okay, no one likes to hear the nags so I will cut to the chase of how it went down... - Fresh Oysters ($MP). The party started with fresh oysters, this seems to be the restaurant's special also what the waiter recommended. Oyster was at standard and fresh, no cooking required so I can't rate it. - Appetizer, Tiger shrimp corn dogs ($17) - sounded innovative and hip. It was yummy but basically tempera shrimp on a stick. I give the name 5 stars and the food 3 stars so this item average out 4 stars. - Organic field green salad ($12) - The dressing was tasty but very little of everything. - For main entree, I chose the Grilled Prime New Yoke ($38) - The restaurant is called Parkway grill, how can you go wrong with steak? WRONG! The pinot noir reduction over the steak killlllllllled it, came back, and stepped on it. The reduction was slimy and tasteless, over a piece of mediocre beef, eeek! I was very disappointed. I ate half of the steak and took home the rest. I chopped it up the next day and made fried rice with it, it wasn't good. This dish gets 1 star for the au gratin potato that came with it. That was delicious. - Dessert was chocolate lava cake ($9) - This was good, teeth-hurting sweet, but very yummy with the ice cream. Wine with food for about $80-$100 per person, not exactly ideal for what the restaurant had to offer. I'm opened about giving it another chance. My first impression of the restaurant was nice. It felt like a big warm living room. I did notice that 85% of the people there were 55+. Set forth a very conservative mood. Since moving back to LA recently I was more accustomed to the younger, hipper crowds from Hollywood and DTLA. I felt a little silly becuase it was Halloween and I was in a Amy Winehouse Costume. As for food... They brought out an assortment of bread. The crispy cheese cracker/bread was my favorite. There were also cornbread Madelines which looked great but were extremely dry. In addtion there was a wheat bread. Bread didnt taste fresh. All a little dry. Sometimes I'd prefer you just bring out one type of bread but make it right. We started out with the Green Rocket Salad with fennel. It was a little on the bland side. I didnt' have much dressing on it and we had to season it with salt and pepper. My friend had the Duck which was cooked just right. Tender and juicy. Flawless dish. I had the Fried Whole Catfish. It was perfectly fried with a slight batter on it. The fish was so fresh and tasted buttery. The dipping sauce was a simple kikoman soy sauce. I had to add some lemon juice to it so it wasn't that salty. The fish was so good on it's own it really didnt' need anything else. The fish was HUGE .. we could have shared it. I took the rest home and it made an amazing lunch the next day. NOt as crispy but the flavors were still very good. It also comes with some jasmine rice and a side of pickled cucumbers. I would definitley get this dish again. I wonder if I could possibly order it to go. It's a dish that you really wnat to be able to use your hands and Parkway Grill feels a little too primp and proper of a place to do that. Service was yucky! Our waiter didnt even show up at our table until about 15 mins after we sat down. We ordered 2 glasses of wine but the starters came out before the wine. This shouldn't happen at such a nice restaurant. This waiter didn't seem like he belonged at this type of restaurant. I could see him more at an Applebees or Yard house type. Just his mannerism. Left a bad taste in my mouth. If management is reading, he's the tall tanned mid 20s male. Overall very well executed food. Definitely an older crowd. Wish the service was better. read more

I was superbly impressed with the food here. American bistro food has some high expectations to live up to in my book but nothing I ate this place was bad! We started munching on bread before we got our starters. It was all tasting ordinary until BAM, I bit into this cheese-infused cracker thing, and it all just went uphill from there. So addicting. For starters we had the tuna tartare, lobster crepe, and oysters on the half shell. All AMAZING but if I had to choose a favorite, it was the crepe hands down. Drool worthy. For lunch, I had the steak sandwich with french fries. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned, just the way I like them. The steak was perfectly medium. Dessert was recommended to us by the waiter - the creme brulee. Although it was not your typical creme brulee, it was still delicious - much better than the OG if I do say so myself. I kept eating it despite being stuffed. Service was excellent and smooth. Ambiance was a bit on the older/businessmen side but hey, it is Pasadena. read more

The food was good and we had good service from our server Dennisse but I probably would not have eaten here except for the fact that I had been given a $75.00 gift card. I really enjoyed my meal here. The service is impressive - just the right combination of attentive without being pushy, snobby or saccharine. Our waiter told us where we could go to get the amazing, rich vanilla ice cream (directions, cross streets, and a website address! all of the top of his head). My boyfriend and I had the ahi tuna tartar, which was lovely, especially because it was made with avocado. I love me some avocado. We each had the filet mingon, and those were fabulous. Cooked just right, with really delicious potatoes and incredibly flavorful mesquite sauce along the edges of the plate. Dessert was the ice cream with fresh mixed berries (which they brought free because it was my birthday dinner), and then we ordered the flourless chocolate hazelnut cake with milk chocolate sauce. Do I even need to go into how delicious that was? (Answer: very). So there was delicious, varied, and very well presented food with great service. I will definitely be coming here again. The place is extremely elegant and has a definite air of occassion. I've always had excellent service here, and all of my dinners have been perfectly executed, regardless of what I've ordered. And just when I thought I couldn't eat one my bite, I've always had room for their fantastic desserts. One of my favorites is their creme brulee Napoleon. I think I actually cried tears of joy the first time I had this. Okay, that's overstating a bit, but it was pretty darn good. Came here for the first time during lunch today. I may give it a second chance and see if dinner is any better. The decor is rustic yet modern. I love the crisp white tablecloth and the brick wall backdrop. The hostess was very friendly and our server was fantastic! He was so friendly and high on life! It was awesome! Tiger Shrimp Corndogs- It's fried shrimp skewers with Thai cocktail sauce and mustard sauce. It was nicely tied together with onions. The shrimp was nice and crispy and the sauces were delicious. It was lightly sweet, sour, and a kick of spicy. I thought this dish was nicely executed. Parkway's Signature Black Bean Soup- I'm not a fan. It was bland and mediocre. Maybe Parkway needs to bring the signature back into this black bean soup. Seared Scallops- I love scallops. Did I mention how much I love scallops? Well, this one was a bit overcooked so it came out a bit rubbery. The spinach, avocado, and sun dried tomatoes turned into a decent salad. Can't really comment on the dijon vinaigrette since I can barely taste it. Pappardelle pasta- It came with beech mushrooms, beef tenderloin, sundried tomatoes, in a sauce. Pasta was al dente. It was a bit difficult to digest. The beef tenderloin pieces was a bit overcooked and chewy. That sauce has really salty. The mushrooms seems to just sit there and does nothing for the dish. Very relaxing place for lunch or dinner, and the food is good, sometimes very, very good. Only complaint was at lunch; they had a sort of retro tower dish (the kind where the ingredients are stacked up in an arty way) where the base was--cold (or almost cold) mashed potatoes. Did I dream this? Alas, no--and I had a guest visiting from San Francisco. Deeply embarrassing. But the chicken with little fig somethings at dinner is wonderful, and so is the fish, and their take on a Napoleon makes me want to cry, it's so good. Nice atmosphere. read more

I came to Parkway Grill to celebrate a birthday. To be honest, I was disappointed at my very first experience here. I called in advanced to see if they did anything special for birthdays and the hostess said they did. I made a reservation through Opentable and I made a note about how I would prefer a nice, cozy and intimate table. Under the fine print, they do say they may not be able to accommodate to certain requests, but I didn't think my request was too much to ask for. We were seated along the rail next to a large party table. Not cozy and intimate. The restaurant was LOUD. We found ourselves having to raise our voices because it was that loud. The birthday boy found a nice hand written card saying "Happy Birthday" from the restaurant. We were greeted by the waiter, who just so happened to introduce himself as the head waiter. I was glad to hear that because then I would be expecting superior service. Nah. That didn't happen. He was just ok and he never really checked up on us too much. I saw the busser more than I saw him. Now about the food... Complimentary bread basket... I'll skip. I would prefer a basket of just the breadsticks alone. We ordered the Tiger Shrimp Appetizer (~$18) and it was tasty and perfectly fried. Honestly, I thought the appetizer was overpriced. You get 4 pieces, so you're basically paying almost $5 a shrimp. We ordered the infamous Fried Catfish ($33) and the Garganelli Lamb Bolognese ($22). The catfish is worth ordering just because you get a whole catfish to yourself and it's a great alternative if you don't feel like getting steak or poultry. The catfish comes with a bowl of rice, pickled cucumbers and ponzu sauce. All were complimentary of each other. I was disappointed with the Garganelli though. It was incredibly oily and salty. The lamb bolognese just sat in the puddle of oil when I was done picking out all the pasta. I wouldn't eat a spoonful of it. Also, if you plan on getting a drink.. don't. Basically they charge Vegas prices but with less alcohol. *$4 per/person cake cutting fee. Crazy. Our waiter basically dropped off the cake, presented it, took it away, and dropped off the cake pieces and the rest of the cake back in the box. For a cake cutting fee at a classy restaurant I expected better presentation and care. Overall, I did not feel like Parkway was the best place for a birthday celebration. Nothing felt special at all. Dinner felt rushed. Literally. We were in and out within an hour. Not kidding. For a $$$ restaurant, I expected a little bit more. The overall bill came out to over $115 for 2. Had I known, I would've taken my business elsewhere. Since Parkway shares a parking lot with Arroyo (and also owned by the same people), I would've expected them to improve on their valet parking. My review about Arroyo's valet addressed my issue with their valet and the owner said they were going to try and improve. We waited 3 minutes outside by ourselves because no one was at the valet stand. Then when someone did eventually come, we waited another 5 for the car to arrive. Did I mention no one was before us? I regret coming here to celebrate a special occasion. I don't know how the birthday boy felt about his experience. But to be perfectly honest, I feel ashamed for taking him here. read more

Had dinner at Parkway Grill in Pasadena! All of this came out to $140 before tip but a meal like this once in awhile was very well worth it. We had the lobster crepe for appetizer, braised ribs and roast duck as the main course, and the bread pudding for dessert. Each dish was excellent and the service was fantastic! read more

Last night was the first time I have been to Parkway Grill. I have read about it in my Zagat Restaurants 2009 book. we started out with the crab cakes. the crab cakes went well with the diced mango. crab cakes were pretty good. I wanted to try the catfish w/ponzu... but they had ran out :( so... i ended up getting the special: seared char with vanilla bean/jasmine rice my bf ordered the other special: veal with mashed potatoes and baby carrots the veal was oh so yummy.... **eyes roll back** it went well with a nice glass of red. Came here on a Thursday night for our company Christmas dinner. Made a 630 reservation, sat down by 645 which is fairly quick considering the place was packed! I ordered filet mignon medium rare, meat was delicious and tender, but the flavor was on the bland side for me. The Yukon gold smoked mash potato was also delishhh! Appetizer - get the risotto with green peas and the crab cake! One of My coworker ordered a Grilled Prime New York Medium Rare+ with scalloped potatoes. She asked the waitress if she knew what medium Rare plus was, and the waitress nodded and walked away. Then she came back with a filet mignon..and my coworker told her it was the wrong order and the waitress just picked it back up without apologizing and walked away. Then she came back with a RARE steak...and by that time everyone was almost half way done with our dinner. If our waitress was a bit more bright and less grumpy - this restaurant definitely deserves 4 star unfortunately our waitress was not up to par. So 3 star will just have to do for now read more

I love this restaurant. It has great food and never disappoints. Try sitting in the bar for dinner. You usually never need a reservation and its a beautiful setting with an oak bar and a piano player. Relaxing place to have a drink, appetizers, and dinner! read more
