We love Gale's! We always have an amazing time here. Delicious food with huge portions and reasonable prices! Their complimentary bread comes out steaming hot and pairs perfectly with the seasoned olive oil. For apps, we always order the organic greens salad; it's so fresh! They had a special Valentine's Day white pizza with bacon and sausage that was SO delicious, I wish they would add it to the regular menu. Ordering a pizza is a must here, as their pizzas are consistently crispy, super cheesy, and never burnt. Also love getting the shrimp scampi! For dessert, the $20 dessert sampler plate is so worth it. You get it four pieces of dessert -- coconut cake, chocolate cake, creme brulee, and cheesecake. We also love getting the sorbet and gelato as well, which comes with two scoops each, perfect for sharing. Love that they have a giant parking lot in the back, which makes parking super easy!

Stopped by for lunch with co-workers and ate some really delicious desserts : coconut cream cake, chocolate flourless cake and mixed berry crumble topped with ice cream. My favorite was the flourless chocolate cake. It was not too sweet and nicely rich.

We stopped by while exploring Old Town Pasadena, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The food was better than we expected, and we really enjoyed our meal. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

The food and service were fantastic. We got a goat cheese and pesto pizza, cacio e pepe, and a caprese. The pasta was perfection. The pizza was equally as good, excellent crust. The caprese was good. I wish the tomatoes had been a little more ripe, but I did choose to order it in late December. The almond biscotti was a wonderful touch at the end of the meal.

Arrived at Gale's during lunch and they had several great lunch specials. I ordered the pizza special which came with a two topping pizza of your choice and a salad. This came out to about $26 with tax and tip which is reasonable considering that Gale's is on the higher end. The pizza was baked fresh and it was delicious! The salad was also delicious and had a flavorful dressing. They give you free bread while you review the menu. Service was excellent! The waiter was extremely attentive and kept checking on us. Gale's is spacious and is a more intimate space so I think it would be best for date nights or to catch up with friends. There is parking in the back in a shared lot with other businesses. Would recommend coming for their lunch specials!

4.5 stars Gale's is a true gem that has been serving tasty family style Northern Italian fare for over 20 years. I dined here a long time ago and recently returned because it's one of my uncle's favorite restaurants. This place is quite charming inside. I like the rustic décor and artwork by local artists on the walls. We had a cozy table to ourselves in a private nook area overlooking the main dining room. The staff were all very attentive, especially our server Gabriel. We decided to share several dishes: Steamed Artichoke, Eggplant Siciliana, Zucchini Flowers, Fettuccini Arrabbiata. I also ordered a Hugo Spritzer, which was served in an elegant Brighton Goblet. It was so tasty and refreshing that I had another. We enjoyed complimentary fresh, warm bread with balsamic & olive oil to dip in before our food arrived. The artichoke was steamed to perfection and was stuffed with chopped tomatoes & basil and topped with freshly shaved parmesan. The drawn butter on the side was perfect for dipping. The roasted eggplant was topped with a yummy marinara and melted mozzarella. It was delish. The zucchini flowers were stuffed with mozzarella & burrata cheese and served with a spicy warm Heirloom tomato Puttanesca sauce. The combination of flavors was delightful. The Fettuccini was another fantastic dish. Al dente pasta tossed in a spicy tomato sauce. It was addicting and the spice level was just right. For dessert we had the Blackberry Crème Brûlée. The creamy custard had fresh blackberries mixed in and the caramelized sugar topping was perfect. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to coming back. *Private parking lot or street parking.

Service was great! Always enjoyed their fennel salads and grilled branzino. Gale's been around for a very long time and I used to visit often until I moved out of the area. It always has that neighbor friendly feel. Changed different exec chefs in the recent years. Extensive wine list with one of the lowest markup in LA. I love their pastas, fennel salad, and steak. Zuppe di peces too! It does get crowded on weekend nights. Best to RSVP. I like their branzinos too. I noticed prices had gone up much in the recent years. Sometimes I wish restaurant would consider reduce portion size to keep the prices low or provide choices of entree size. For example, in the case of grilled branzino, 2 fillets per dish at $48, it was pretty much a whole fish. Would be nice to have a choice for 1 fillet at lower price for small eaters since fish is hard to keep for next day. Just a thought :)

Ive been here twice, but the most recent time left me disappointed. They have a parking lot in the back which is a plus! And they take reservations. The service here is slow and the server we got didn't know how to make food recommendations. That's not a huge deal, just a bummer. But the food is where the disappointment was at. My dad ordered the swordfish and it was overcooked, extremely dry. My mom ordered the scampi linguine that came with greens (broccolini?) and it was bitter. We told the staff and they shrugged us off. We also got the chicken parm and it was ok. The only good dishes were the fettuccini carbonara and shrimp spaghetti with lemon. For birthdays they give you complimentary coconut cake. There are better italian restaurants in the area.

Gales ia definitely a great spot for fresh Italian food. I enjoyed my first official meal and left satisfied. The bread was fresh, perfectly paired with olive oil and basil and balsamic vinegar simple and delicious. I ordered souo and salad, today soup was cream of mushrooms and side ceaser salad. Lunch price is modest making it easier to have a mid day bite. They have out door seating and the experience was satisfied. A local experience worthy of revisiting. From team Smiley

It was date night! And might as well end the night with a great and fancy dinner. We had a great time here and the pasta we ordered was cooked to perfection. The servers were very nice and helpful and very welcoming to their customers walking in. Would definitely come back here some time soon. Thank you very much Gale's!

The food wasn't as good as before. I was disappointed with their food it's my first time see chicken piccata in white color and has no taste is all blend and the fettuccine is overcooked. The only dish tastes good is salad. Will not come back again.

Came here for pre-opera dinner. One of the best-tasting clam linguines I've ever had, but I wish the clams were meatier. The beef meatballs were good if a bit gamey (maybe it's the spices not sure what it was, but I've definitely had better meatballs.) This is now my favorite spot for claims linguine. Oh the coconut 'light-as-air' cake is DELIZIOSO! Outdoor dining tent available in their large parking lot.

Only thing that didn't sit well was that it was known that it was my dad's birthday and we weren't offered any celebratory complementary desserts of any sort, not that that should be expected, but we did over order for our party so gave decent business I would say. The menu prices suggest that it's quite a nice upscale restaurant which it is, but the interior was nothing special, quite casual. I think I would want a little more pizzazz if I were going here for a romantic date - Calabrian salami pizza: amazing flavor profile, the salami gave a good saltines to it while the hot honey gave a tin of sweet. I'm not the biggest fan of when my savory food is too sweet, but I thought this one was really well done - squid ink pasta: really tiny portion, which was the only bummer but it was so delicious. I would probably still get it again not too fishy. If you don't love the Strong seafood flavors that this dish sometimes comes with. - whipped feta and bread: a classic go to appetizer at Italian restaurants, pretty good, but I wouldn't say any better than other restaurants that serve this - calamari: honestly would skip this. They only was nothing special and the calamari itself had standard batter. Nothing crazy. Whipped feta and bread

The customer service was warm and welcoming, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, and the ambiance created the perfect dining experience. What made this visit especially memorable was how authentic the food tasted. I recently spent two amazing weeks in Peru, and this meal instantly took me back. I was able to enjoy two of my favorite Peruvian dishes, and they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere. It was truly an amazing experience, and I look forward to coming back. The only thing that could have made it even better would have been if they offered traditional picarones for dessert!

I got the sea bass and the the fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sides including the polenta cake and the baby bok-choy hit all the marks in terms of flavor, texture and presentation. I realized they had changed their dessert menu since the last time I was here in February. To my pleasant surprise and relief, their new dessert options were really good too! We got 2 desserts and the chocolate mousse cake was to die for. My girfriends and I were fighting for it. The warm apple pie was good too. I got the margarita mocktail and it was incorrectly made the first time but then they fixed it and it was delicious. Service was good. The ambiance is always modern, intimate and not too noisy. I am glad my gfs chose to come here after I recommended and I had another great experience.

Although there's no dress code, most folks dressed in business casual or nicer. The food was delicious. Because it was shared family style, they split it across two plates, which kept the presentation nice and clean. The corn agnolotti is a must - the brown butter sauce, roasted corn, shallot, and ricotta cheese combination was perfection. The shrimp penne was also excellently executed. I also ordered the sea bass. The fish was good, but the sauce and vegetables lacked flavor depth. The drinks were also great. I got the berry mojito mocktail - it was one of the best mocktails I had. The service was above and beyond in all aspects. Think of the most ideal type of service at a restaurant - that's what I received. Overall, I had an incredible meal and dining experience at The Arbour. I'd come back for a special occasion and I recommend others to visit.
