I ordered two doughnuts (1) raspberry filled another called French Toast. These pastries are not what is known as traditional doughnuts. The dough is heavier and more elastic texture. The raspberry filled doughnut was cold not even room temperature. The filling was nothing special and the doughnut itself was heavy covered with powdered sugar. If you have tasty product you don't need to drench it in powdered sugar. When I think of French toast. I am reminded of my mother's recipe which includes vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon etc. Lower your expectations and you'll not be disappointed. Since the price of these pastries are much higher than traditional doughnuts I expect to taste butter and the use of real spices and flavorings in the product. Sugar and colored sugar on top of the "doughnut ", not worth the price. It's not a bad product just not a special product. read more

Doughnuts are good. Very non-traditional but tasty. Cute atmosphere with shared open seating. The barista today was busy but quite rude when my teenage daughter asked her a question and again when I went to check on our drink as we had been waiting awhile. Holy crap!!!!! I've never had a donut like this. We had the french toast, the blueberry hill, and the raspberry pistachio. If it's possible for a donut to be life changing, I would have to say these fit the bill. Non-traditional in the sense of it being a donut, but absolutely amazing at the same time. The staff was really awesome. They were very nice and seemed to really like their jobs. My only critique is perhaps the coffee isn't quite up to the standard of everything else. We had a brewed coffee and a double espresso. We drink it black so there isn't anything to adulterate the flavor. (And yes, you can temper my statements by knowing I am probably a coffee snob). The drip is ok, (maybe better than that) but I found the espresso to be on bitter side. It could be that they use a blonde roast that I am not a particular fan of. It is also possible that dialing back the pressure to about 6-7 bar on the machine and a slower flow rate might have given a better extraction. In all, I have to say that it's been about 30 minutes since our great experience here, and we are already dreaming about the day we come back to Nashville to eat another donut at this amazing place! read more

The maple bacon donut was good , but if the coffee can't compliment the donut why even bother. The coffee is sour. They do not know how to grind the beans. Not your run of the mill doughnut. The place is clean, staff is friendly. Best of all the doughnuts appear formidable however they are a little crisp outside but soft and doughy on the inside. Went here the other day by chance and ended up LOVING IT! I had the breakfast tacos and they were stuffed well and tasted delicious, and the donuts were super layer-y and yummy! I live in Atlanta and love trying new donut shops. My childhood bakery in Lebanon, Claiborne's, was closed due to the weather, so we decided on the fairly new Parlor Doughnuts. When we arrived at opening time (7:30 am) there was already a line forming. They were getting the donuts ready and putting them out as they were glazed, but started taking orders right away at 7:30. Customer service was good and very friendly. We got the Sandy beach, French toast, chocolate chocolate, coconut cream filled, honey glazed, and maple pecan. The texture of the donut was sort of like a cronut but with a sugar crunchy exterior. The flavor of the dough was good. The coconut cream had a very mild flavor of coconut but was ok. The French toast I didn't get the flavor at all. Chocolate chocolate was good and a chocolate person would be very satisfied. The honey glazed for me was probably the best. I would probably go back but would only get the honey glaze unless there was a special flavor I thought might be interested in. The price was right at 20.00 which is about average these days for donut shops. read more
