I stopped in at Parm after a morning of shopping with friends. The atmosphere was very "homey". We were seated right away & waited on in a timely manner. I had inquired about the chicken parm for a friend that was with me - which she ordered & I ordered the eggplant parm. I realized after taking the first bite that I had also been given the chicken parm. I called over the waitress and said, "I think you may have written the order down wrong, I asked for eggplant Parm, but I got chicken Parm." She said she distinctly remembered me ordering the chicken - which I did not my friend ordered the chicken, I ordered the eggplant. I reminded her that I not only said my order, but also pointed to it on the menu. I didn't want my meal to be wasted so I told her I would just eat it. She then walked away and a minute later the manager, who was also the chef came over. He asked how everything was, and said I understand you ordered an eggplant parm and got chicken, and said he would the eggplant parm right out to me. I explained that I didn't want to waste the meal that I had and it was OK, I would eat it. He was very nice, very friendly and said "you won't have to waste it you can eat both!" he asked if I had ever had the eggplant Parm from this restaurant before to which I said no, and he said you're going to love it! When he brought the correct meal out the conversation continued - he was very, very, friendly & compensating and wanted to make sure I was good with everything. The pasta and the pasta sauce are homemade on site. The meal (both chicken & eggplant) were delicious! The portions were a good size too! I had the opportunity to visit Parm again this weekend from an invitation from Chris -- first and foremost, thank you to Chris, Bella, and Caesar for taking great care of us. It is clear that these individuals really care about making dining at Parm a great experience. We were able to try a variety of dishes on the menu all of which were delicious: Pesto Arancini - Perfectly crispy rice balls filled with a garlicky pesto sauce served with a light and tart tomato sauce. Buffalo Cucumbers - I had no idea what to expect with these but they are addicting!! The crunchy cucumbers work so well with the spicy hot sauce for a refreshing treat on a hot day Garlic Bread - How can you go wrong with this?! Served with fresh mozzarella, this crunchy bread Eggplant Parm Platter - Quality and quantity at their finest, this giant platter combines the delicious traditional eggplant dish and a sampling of Parm's signature spicy pasta dish. Yum! Rotini Genovese - I'm always a huge fan of a pesto dish but the addition of fresh burrata on top creates a perfect creaminess without being overwhelmingly garlicky or salty Shrimp Scampi - PERFECTLY cooked shrimp...short and sweet. This dish was a homerun balancing the flavors of seafood, garlic, and cream for a very memorable meal. We stopped into Parm after some shopping. It was around 2PM or 3 PM and they were able to seat the 3 of us immediately. The staff was sweet, server recommended a few things and we loved all of it. Prior to the other day, I had not been to Woodbury Common since The Before Times - but I'm off from work this week and planned a little trip up there to check it out and do some retail therapy. After a couple of hours of self-care, I was feeling a hunger and decided to make my way to the Common's main food hall to pick up some lunch. Plans changed however when I was approached by Parm on my way there. Parm frequently sweeps across my Yelp feed due to there being multiple locations in NYC, and since my curiosity had previously been piqued, I decided to stop here for lunch instead. Parm's roots are in NYC - with its first location opening in Lower Manhattan in 2011 and then expanding to other parts of the city thereafter. Parm is owned by Major Food Group, which operates a number of other restaurants - most notably Carbone which is an iconic Italian restaurant in the West Village (and a place I've been wanting to go to forever - someday I'll make it). I'm generally picky when it comes to Italian restaurants, but since Parm has been on my radar for quite some time I wanted to try them out. Unlike most of the other eateries in Woodbury, Parm is a sit-down restaurant with table service. The space is large with simple decor - a bright, white color scheme with hints of red and green. They have a semi-open kitchen, a bar, and an abundance of booths and tables. The menu was fairly simple but had a good selection of apps, sides, sandwiches, platters, and pastas. Their signature dish is their chicken parm, so I couldn't pass that up. I was feeling a sandwich, and added a side salad to balance out the meal. If I'm being honest, I wasn't impressed - the sandwich was a generous size, but the cutlets were dry and tough. They just didn't taste fresh - I was looking for tender, juicy chicken and it just wasn't there. The side salad was done up nicely with tomato, olive, peppers, and a tasty dressing, but they used iceberg lettuce which isn't my favorite. Service was a saving grace here - everyone I encountered was very nice and my food came out quickly (but not too quick). Overall, I was a little disappointed by my Parm experience - for their signature dish I was expecting more. I'd be curious to see how their other dishes play out, but as of right now I'm not running back to any of their locations. read more

Stopped in mainly to try the famous rigatoni Carbone, but wanted to try everything on the menu! The restaurant was clean and attractive. It was not very busy on a weeknight after work. The servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered the fresh mozz with garlic bread and meatballs to start. The garlic bread is loaded with crispy cheese which was a little much (it made it pretty salty) and the mozz was yummy but also on the salty side. Really liked the meatballs which reminded me of my grandma's. For mains, I got the rigatoni Carbone and my husband got the roast beef sandwich. The pasta definitely had a spicy kick to it but the heat didn't linger too long. It was perfectly sauced and delicious. I am looking forward to trying their other pastas. The portion size was just right. As for the sandwich, the bread was seeded and toasted - crunchy outside and soft inside. A very solid 4 star experience. This is certainly the BEST dining experience at the Woodbury Commons and the food and service were on point. We got the Pizza knots as appetizer (Yummy!!) And the Chicken Parm with a side salad. Both were yummy!! We would recommend!! 3 glasses of Rose plus Rose Sangria cost more than the food, but what do we expect!? They were cold, tasted good and we were thritsty and ready to celebrate our purchases plus, the bartender was very nice and helpful. Do not waste your time coming here - the management is terrible. I can't even comment on the food because we visited on a Friday midday and found the restaurant half empty. After paying for parking because the shopping center was packed as usual, we walked in and were happy to see there was plenty of seating available. The hostess, however, told us there was a hold on the kitchen and she wouldn't be able to seat us for 25 minutes. I asked, can't you seat us so we can order drinks at least? We were a family of 4 and our kids were tired after being picked up from camp. She said no. 10 minutes into our wait, 2 men came in and she told them the same thing about the kitchen. They asked if they could eat at the bar. She replied an enthusiastic, sure! I asked why she hadn't offered us a seat at the bar and she said they wouldn't be able to order food there. 10 minutes later, their appetizers arrived. I pointed this out and asked if she could seat us now...she walked over to the manager, who didn't even give a look in our direction. She said no. I asked how long it would be. She gave me a blank stare. I asked if we'd be waiting 25 minutes for our food to arrive if we ever WERE allowed to sit and order. She said, "prolly". At this point we left. 10 minutes later we already had food and were sitting at Shake Shack, where I suppose we should have gone in the first place. Parm, we made a special trip on the way back from upstate to get our kids and YOU RUINED IT. Your management and front of house staff IS AWFUL. If you don't have enough kitchen staff to attend to a half empty restaurant, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. You are literally turning large tables of people away because your management sucks. In that 25 minutes we waited, there were easily 10 tables, one with 8 people, turned away. Will never, ever come here again. read more

We usually pop into the food court when we get hungry in the midst of outlet shopping. It's a bunch of standard/nothing impressive options. This time, we opted for a sit-down resto, a brand that had acclaim in NYC, though we never made it to the original location there. Anyway, keeping it short/to the point: Roast Beef Sandwich -- Delicious; would prefer the mozz to be melted a little, but this is intended to be a cold sandwich, so understandable why it's just chunks of fresh mozz Turkey sandwich -- If my rating was based on this alone, it would be 2 stars and only because the roll was good. This sandwich was awful, unless you like thick cut sandwich meat. I was not happy as the menu description makes it sound like fresh turkey rather than gross pressed meat. One look at the cross-section and I was tempted to send it back simply because of the false advertising. Had a few bites...bummer to waste a $17 sandwich, but it wasn't worth eating. Fries -- these are thin, crispy and delicious. That said, if we find ourselves here again, I will ask them not to sprinkle on the mozzarella as the fries are already salty enough. The bread -- sesame seeded hero rolls -- used for the sandwiches was great! Or server was good and we had a large booth, so plenty of room for the two of us. read more

A new location just opened in the Woodbury Common outlet mall, the biggest and best one yet with lots of indoor and outdoor seating plus tons of great new menu items. One of the best new things might be the Fried Italian Shrimp platter, which comes with a pile of super crispy, thin butterflied shrimp, and as an excellent bonus, a side of Spicy Rotini (or salad). They also do the great Caesar Salad table side at this location if you want a little extra fun to capture for Instagram. Another notable change to the menu is the disappearance of their classic ice cream cakes, which would otherwise be tragic if they weren't replaced with such amazing soft serve. Get it in one of three great sundaes served in mini baseball caps - the Tiramisu one with coffee soft serve is incredible, as is the Neapolitan, with vanilla ice cream, crushed pistachios and cherry sauce. With just a Shake Shack and a ramen spot as the only food options here, this is the clear winner and should crush it in this location. Looking forward to finding a reason to head back this far north of the city again soon for a chance to try all the great new items again. read more

LOVED this place so much! Decor is gorgeous and the food was 10 out of 10! I will dream about that lemon garlic chicken! Wonderfully moist and tasty, crispy skin... heaven!! Italian side salad was refreshing with it. Meatballs I tasted were incredible! And the pasta was al dente and so creamy and flavorful. I didn't love the tiramisu (mostly coffee ice cream with a little bit of delicious whipped mascarpone) as it wasn't a cohesive dessert to me, but the server was so nice and took it off of my bill. After shopping in Woodbury, Parm was such a treat. We were luck to some when it was not busy. It's usually super packed on the weekends but we got seated right away. Our lovely waitress gave us suggestions what to order. I forgot my waitress's name but she was literally the best. I love her We got the fresh mozzarella with garlic bread and fried calamari for the table to share. The fresh mozzarella and garlic bread was so gooooooood!! They make the mozzarella in house fresh everyday. Our calamari's batter was light and crispy. Our entrees were chicken parm with rotini pasta, bolognese, and penne scampi. If you're starving, you must come here. The portions are huge!!!! The chicken parm dish was to die for, crispy chicken, melty cheese, perfect sauce, and a huge portion of rotini pasta on the side. The shrimp scampi was so creamy, huge pieces of shrimp, and perfectly seasoned. The bolognese was a struggle to finish because it was topped with ricotta. It was on the heavy side so just an FYI! I was absolutely shocked by my experience here. I had driven past it 1 million times since I grew up in the area and they opened a few years ago. I just knew that they replace the old Applebee's and since it was in the commons I didn't think much of it. I assumed it was a chain. After finally having gone earlier this week I can't believe I waited so long to visit! All through the summer they have live music, Thursdays and Fridays, they just launched their frozen Apperal spritz, which was so delicious, and the food was absolutely amazing. They have some items that were made from scratch, and it most certainly shows! Not to mention their cappuccinos were amazing, and the inside of the restaurant was huge and so beautifully done. I was driving by Woodbury and stopped in to grab lunch. It was really busy so I decided to takeout and eat it in the food court. Their service here is a little slow/absent. They seem a little under staff because it was hard to find anyone to help you. I ended up just placing my order on Grubhub and waiting for it outside. I waited 35 mins and there was no notification that the food was ready so I went inside to check. There was of course no one to help so I looked in to the kitchen and waved down one of the staff and he directed me to my bag of food that was sitting on the counter. I tried their weekend salad, mozzarella sticks and the chicken Parm. The chicken Parm was delicious. The chicken was tender and the oozing mozzarella was chef's kiss. The salad was nothing special and the mozzarella sticks tasted a little stale but the marinara sauce made it editable for me. Overall, I think the food here is pretty decent. This was my first time at Parm as I've never been to the one in Manhattan. The food was tasty and the portions here are actually pretty big. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so we sat outside since we had our pup with us. The Rigatoni Carbone didn't taste quite like the one at Carbone (I didn't expect that it would) but it was still pretty good, just not amazing like at Carbone. I was excited to see a nice Italian restaurant while shopping. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. However, the food was in a word gross. We ordered calamari and it was rubbery and disgusting. We also ordered chicken parmigiana and it was cold and tasteless. Finally, we had spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was mushy and the meatballs were burnt and crispy on the outside yet mushy on the inside. Finally, the waiter offered us still or sparkling water, (like this was Italy,) implying it was on the house. It was not. It was $9 for a bottle. We were not offered bread, so I can't say how wonderful it is. I have received food at restaurants that was not to my liking. I have never complained or written a bad review. However, in this experience EVERYTHING was gross. It has been 3 days and I am still thinking about how bad it was. Ultimately it was about $100 for everything and everything was inedible. Made a reservation on a Saturday and was glad I did - the line was extremely long around lunchtime. Interior was open and nicely decorated, everything was clean. We got the chicken parm hero, rigatoni carbone, lemon garlic chicken, and spaghetti and meatballs. Portion sizes were just alright for the prices, taste was good but nothing outstanding. This was our first time to this Parm location which is located in the Woodbury outlet mall. The interior looks very similar to the other new Parm locations that have the updated dark green colors. There was a bit of a wait which wasn't super surprising as it's one of only a few restaurants in the mall but they were moving tables very quickly. As soon as we ordered our food, our food came out within 5 minutes. Our server was Heather and she was very sweet and just the right level of attentive. The food was all very good for the most part although the meatballs were blander than the ones we have had at other locations. Drove 40 minutes with my girlfriend to come to this restaurant and staff was great we got seated promptly and server was very nice, however our mozzarella sticks were literally still frozen inside. We sent it back, then our pasta came we ordered 2 chicken Parma. which was also cold and you could tell the pasta was soggy and not al dente. We shared the garlic bread and fresh mozzarella to start, which was absolutely to die for. The portion size on the chicken parm was good - we finished it, didn't have any leftovers, and were full after leaving. The spicy rotini as a side is great as well, it has a slight kick to it but is not over bearing. We didn't get any desserts or alcohol. I'm deducting one star for the fact that there is no bread served before your meal. What kind of Italian place doesn't give you a bread basket for free ahead of the meal? read more
