Great doctors, super friendly staff, and nice facility for sure. Dr. Khanh instills confidence in her patients and is happy to answer any questions you may have. Their glasses selection is a little limited, but I'm a contacts gal anyway. I'm also not a huge fan of their policy of Optomapping your eyes and then telling you it's your decision whether or not you want them to USE the images for diagnostic purposes (for an extra $39-- every other place I've been does it automatically, and there's no extra charge.) She was patient and kind enough to go through all the processes with me slowly so I could understand what was going on and why (because I'm that type of person). If you are on a budget, like need frames within your 120 frame allowance for insurance, not a huge selection. I did find great frames for 138 though. I'm very glad we found Parmer Eye Care. We have actually seen several doctors there, and they are all excellent and very good at putting you at ease. My daughter is eleven and very shy and has no problem speaking up and talking to the doctors here. I've had 3 appointments and my two daughters each have had one within the last year with Dr. Albrecht. All 5 appointments have been a nice experience. I've never had any trouble getting scheduled or rescheduled as needed. Dr. Albrecht has a very pleasant, caring demeanor and a great chair-side manner. The staff seems efficient and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. I've also never once felt that they were pushing for extra, unnecessary visits or products. I had some issues with the way the lab made my lenses. Tri-focal transition lenses are hard to make. They got the lab to remake the lenses even after their "normal" window of replacement. Just picked them up yesterday and the are much better!!! read more

Although the optometrist was friendly the service provided by the rest of the staff was horrible in the 20 years that I've been purchasing glasses I've never been in a more uncomfortable situation at the eye doctor. When I first walked in I wasn't even acknowledged by the 4 women standing behind the counter it was very clear that I was interrupting their conversation. When I had questions about glasses/ cost since I was paying out of pocket....you could tell the woman helping was irritated. I ended up leaving without glasses. read more

I have been going to Parmer Eye Care for over eight years and have never had a bad experience. They have early, late, and some weekend hours. They are good with kids and still call my daughter by name all these years later...she's now 21. They recently moved in to a beautiful new office that is in a great area with lots of parking. My entire family sees Dr. Khanh, although I've also seen Dr. Lemanski and I liked her very much. The staff is uniformly friendly and professional. The techs are super - fast, friendly and gentle. The doctors are terrific - we've seen them for annual exams, vision correction and an eye infection. The facilities are very clean and the Optomap experience is far more comfortable than dilation and the usual somewhat invasive exam. The fees for eye care are extremely reasonable in comparison to other practitioners. We highly recommend Parmer Eye Care and continue to be patients there, even though they moved to a location far less convenient to our home. We have been going to Parmer Eye Care for about five years and plan to continue as their patients. Three out of the four members of our family require glasses and one of us wears contacts or glasses. We didn't buy glasses there, but only because I figured we could get glasses at a location closer to home. They do have a nice selection. read more

I went to Parmer Eye Care for the first time this week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They clearly explained everything my insurance covered and showed me all of the options I had as far as ordering new contacts. The office was clean and inviting. Dr. Albrecht was good, she was nice & professional. It was a regular eye exam, I also had a contact lens fitting for the occasional times that I want to wear contacts. I think her recommendation to do dailies was reasonable, I used to do the monthly one so it feels lighter on the eyes. The other staff seem fine. One of the front desk people are not very friendly / bordered on rude, but they did their job. It was convenient to have my contacts delivered at home (it takes 7-10 days). They seemed super busy when I went in, or whenever I called. I liked that they were fairly efficient and scheduling wasn't difficult. I wish you could look at their frame collection and order eyeglasses online. I like the eyeglass shops where you can upload a photo of your face & virtually try on eyeglasses. Their office was so crowded when I was done with my exam so I didn't want to hang around and wait some more to try on frames and either wait some more or decide in a hurry. read more

Update 4/7/0216- Extremely poor experience second time around when calling to make appointment to schedule an exam for my daughter. The lady on phone would not allow me to make an appointment without me giving her all my daughter's insurance info. I explained I didn't have all the info because she is under her father's plan. I could bring it to the appt. She was very pushy and said she needed to verify insurance. I told why was she afraid they wouldn't get paid? I just needed to schedule an app that at that time. She then said they could set it up as private pay. All they wanted was info on how they were going to be paid. WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HELPING THE PATIENT? WOW!! I was really shocked since my own visit went good when I had my eyes examed. However, they had verified my insurance and knew they would get paid before my appt. There are dozens of optical places in the area to choose from and I will not be going back to this one. March 2016-This optical establishment met all my expectations. I've been looking for a new optometrist. The doctor who examined me was exception! She was very professional and answered all my questions. She allowed me to talk and didn't make me feel rushed. She is on top of her game. The opticians were very friendly and courteous and didn't make me feel pressure to purchase. I loved all the new hi-tech equipment they used to scan the retina and take pictures of the entire of your eye. It was very interesting and thorough. They have an excellent selection of eyewear. They accepted my insurance and made the transaction very simple. I will be a regular patient here. read more

I am so appreciative of all of the staff and optometrist at Parmer Eye! I had a wonderful experience, was worked in quickly, and they were endlessly patient with my contact lens issues and provided me with multiple samples to work through as I transitioned from RGPs to dailies. They were very kind when I was freaking out because I thought my vision was getting radically worse all of a sudden but no, I had actually managed to abrade the front of the contact lens. At one point I even had two contacts in one eye, and they acted like that was totally a normal thing everyone does. Overall I was very satisfied and I feel like they went above and beyond considering the paltry sum my insurance company forks over. read more

It is starting to feel like to much of a sales pitch for optomap. For example, during my appt. I was asked twice if I "was doing optomap today or having my eyes dilated?" Posing the question like this makes it seems as if one has to choose one of the options. I mentioned to the tech helping me none of the above today. I was then asked by the dr. if I was doing optomap. Come to think about it, optomap was pitched to me three times. When I have done optomap it feels like a lot of money just to view the picture with a brief and half-hearted explanation about what the dr. is viewing. Regarding my benefits and check out the front desk person who helped me seemed confused. At first I was told I owed a ridiculous amount close to 300. I asked for clarification and was told my eye exam was not covered. I proceeded to show them my benefits statement and told them it was covered. She later checked again and it was. Secondly, when I went to order my frames and lenses I was quoted a higher rate. I asked for clarification again. Without asking me I was told, "Oh, the lens is a phoneix lens, which the dr. recommends." I asked to have that remove and re-calculate with what my insurance covers. I went through the benefits I had listed on my phone and told them I want everything that is covered. It lowered my bill substantially. Why would you do this? Not explain to people the added cost of upgrading to a newer lens and assume they want it? This is unethical and predatory. What if I had just paid and handed over my card. I would have been charged for a "better lens" without my knowledge or consent. Let me be clear, I find the dr.s and staff helpful and knowledgable. However, the sales pitch and "upgrading" customers without their consent has to stop. read more

Excellent eye care. The office is easy to find with front door parking. Inside is a welcoming waiting area with attentive staff who greet you quickly. The tech asks pertinent questions including history and changes and does a variety of tests. The doctor is prompt and both asks and answers questions. While they operate efficiently, they don't make me feel rushed. The glasses are stylish and competitively priced for the quality. Dr. Lemanski is compassionate and knowledgeable. I absolutely love this office. I have been a patient with them over the course of 7yrs. They have always had my best interest at heart. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They have a decent selection of frames for both adults and children. their prices are fair and they do their best to give you the best price possible.They give honest recommendations even if it doesn't benefit them. My husband also sees these doctors and he's very particular about who he lets exam him in any way. I also have three boys 13,11,&6yrs. old. they have all seen these doctors. This was my youngest sons first visit and they were very patient with him. they have an Optomapping machine that takes the place of dilation. It cost $40 for each person but well worth it if you need to drive right after your appointment. Plus my 6yr. Old was terrified of having the eye drops put in his eyes so this was extremely helpful in keeping him calm through out the whole exam. My oldest son will be getting contacts for the first time and they have set him up a class to teach him how to care for and take in and out of his eyes. They also recheck to make sure the contacts are fitting his eyes and that they are comfortable for him to wear. Oh, and I almost never have to wait to be seen. The most I've ever waited was 10 mins. Not bad. Plus they have online patient forms you can fill out so you don't need to show up early to your appointment to fill anything out by had. It's a great place and I recommend giving them a try. :) read more

The eye exam was fine but picking out frames was awful. They have a good selection but if you have poor eyesight, don't rely on their opinion. The frames I ended up with were completely unsuited to my face and worse, way too big. I can't believe three people in the office assured me they looked great. When I picked them up, it was obvious from the receptionist's face they looked terrible. I'm really surprised. Sure, my fault too but when you can't see you have no choice! read more
