I called in with a couple questions about shipping times and ordered online, but then called back when I realized that I forgot to order my stainless lines. I don't remember the name of the guy who helped me but he was really nice, and offered to place the order for me to make sure I got it the next day alongside my pads (since my caliper order was placed about 2 hours prior and had already shipped at this point). He offered me useful advice about brake fluid (sometimes one bottle isn't quite enough apparently, so it may be a good idea to have a second on hand) which was much appreciated. He also gave me some brand advice and told me a little bit more about what to expect from stainless steel brake lines. Definitely a knowledgeable guy (good hire, ProParts. I hope you're able to figure out who he was because I really appreciated his feedback.) I placed my initial order just before noon, and within two hours I had already gotten my shipping notification. That's REALLY fast... Like, beating out Amazon Prime speeds kind of fast. Both orders arrived at my door the next day (although I AM local). I like to give my business to local places whenever possible. Offering turnaround times faster than Prime with more knowledgeable people just makes that really easy on the part of your customers. It was not serious and I knew I could buff it out but I didn't know what kind of compound I should use. I'm from out of town and the AutoZone where I live, has helpful and knowledgeable employees so naturally I searched for an AutoZone nearby. I walked into the business and talked with an employee, Genia and asked if she would come outside to take a look at the scratch on the side of my car. She came outside with me, looked at the scratch, took her finger and immediately was able to rub some of the residue off. We went back inside the store where she showed me a line of products that would effectively buff the scratches out. She told me that I did not need an expensive compound because the less expensive ones were basically the same product. Genia was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and did not try to sell me a more expensive product. She was pleasant throughout my visit. She is definitely an ambassador for this place of business. Last one was an AGM and ran almost 10 years. I have a couple of vehicles which include a motorcycle and RV and I do pay a lot of attention to my batteries; keep them fully charged with a charging tender and a couple times a year, run a desulfation cycle. IB is all over the country if you need any service and for me highly recommended.

He was having battery issues so I tested it for him and it came back as a bad battery. I told him to take it down to Pep boys since it has its 30month free replacement. He took it down they tested it, they agreed it was a bad battery. They further told him they don't carry that battery anymore and upsold him on a lower end interstate gold battery that's flooded and not AGM for $26. I'm pretty sure free replacement means free replacement. But they upsold him and gave him a crappier battery. He then brought it to me so I can reinstall in his vehicle and the car wouldn't start. The battery has a date code of 1/26. I had to hook it up to a charger for sometime to get it brought back up. The initial voltage said 11.9v and was at 30% capacity. Terrible they should be ashamed of themselves.

Pep Boys charged me over $600 for an oil change and an AC "recharge" because they said that was why…read moremy AC was taking too long to cool. Two days later, the AC stopped working again. On top of that, my car suddenly had a humming noise after their service. When I took it back, they changed their story and said I actually had a leak, and that the humming noise was "probably" a transmission problem. Then they wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee. So after spending over $600, my AC still didn't work, my car came back with a new noise, and their solution was to ask for even more money. Completely unacceptable service. I will not be returning.
