My wife and I have been walking by this bakery for a very long time and as were come back from Pizza Regina today we stopped in. It is very small and amazingly there was no lines like Modern, Mike's and Bovi. Everything was very good. I've been trying to get to this bakery for a while. The hours of operation and the secluded location always made it a tough visit. Thankfully I was able to find the time to visit on a random cold day in Boston and it was definitely well worth it! Cannoli's in this part of town are the really great, there are a few other challengers for the title including one on the corner which holds far more friendly hours. Parziale's Florentine Cannoli ranks up there with the best. I'd be back in a heartbeat to get another one and grab a slice as well. read more

So, you know when you visit a city/town and the same two places come up on a list as the 'best', then you walk by a place that smells and looks great, isn't crowded, and go, let me take a chance on it? Welp, that's what happened here. Instead of Mike's and Modern, I decided to take a step inside this place as two elderly women were walking out with large boxes of what I assume were pastries or cannoli's, which gave me hint number one to go in. Perused the cases, and as I walked in, another elderly couple walked in and immediately ordered a dozen cannoli's and other cookies, and hint number two. One of the two employees asked if I needed help, I responded I would, but just wanted to check out all the cases first incase I missed something while ordering. The friendly response was the nail in the coffin to make sure I got some stuff. Food wise, I ordered a choc chip cannoli, and a few cookies. The cannoli was VERY good, i'd gladly go back for them any day of the week, the cookies were hit or miss, some were good, some were just not for me. I'm glad I walked into this place, and would easily come back the next time i'm in Boston. read more

So the bread is absolutely delicious for those that don't live in Boston and you live somewhere else outside more like the southern states of the nation. It's the water. This would've been easily a four or five star review however let me get to the service. Mind you it's not a big place not a lot of selections but I felt rushed. I spent a week and a half staying with a friend in the Little Italy neighborhood of Boston, and this was my favorite bakery! I went 4 or 5 times over the course of my stay; the margarita pizza was fantastic, and I loved the selection of fresh-filled cannoli's! I also tried the ricotta pie which was only subtly sweet, really great texture of the ricotta filling. One worker in particular, Ben, was super nice and friendly. In all the traveling that my wife and I have done, the one tip that I always take with me is this: if you want to find the best places to eat in places you visit, ask a local. This tip has never let me down and all the years that I have traveled. That is no different in Boston. We took a walking tour of historic Boston and at the end of it we decided we wanted a treat. The north side of Boston is rich with Italian culture, and I love a good cannoli. We asked our tour guide where she would go if she wanted a good cannoli and she recommended two places. We had heard about a place called Mike's that was supposed to have the best cannolis in all of Boston, but she never mentioned Mike's. Instead, she said Parziale's or Bova's. Ironically, they are right down the street from each other. We decided to go to both places because the only thing better than one cannoli is two cannolis. I am not going to share which place had the better cannoli because I want you to have the same wonderful experience that I had. I will say this, however, if you're in the mood for a sweet treat, definitely try both of these places out. They are amazing And you feel like you've walked into an old world bakery. The line for the other 2 more famous spots with cannolis was 90 mins a piece. Walked in here and was out the door with 8 cannolis in 3 mins. Fresh filled on the spot. Better than Mikes and Bova (albeit less flavor selection). They have original, chocolate chip, pistachio and hazelnut flavors. I'm not a hazelnut guy but that was the best hazelnut anything I've ever had. Disappointed I didn't grab any other baked goods. Pizza looked legit too. read more

We visited while on a walking food tour in Boston. The original spot we visited was packed, so our guide brought us here because he said it's his favorite pizza place. As we approached I saw the sign and thought this seems odd, we are getting pizza at a bakery, yes indeed we were. We walked inside and they had many delicious baked goods sitting there, but they also had a ton of people ordering pizza too. We were told our pizza would be a few minutes so our tour ventured down the street to look at some sites and then made our way back up to grab our piping hot slices of fresh, delicious pizza. Given that Bova's is around the corner, this bakery doesn't get as much love as it should. All the the staff is really friendly and helpful, their bread is delicious. My favorite thing to get here is the pizza, you can get a slice for 4-5 dollars and it's so good. I come here when I'm looking for a thicker crust pizza and it's so worth it. I haven't tried any of their desserts yet so I can't speak to that aspect of the bakery but the pizza alone is worth a stop. read more

Initially my friends were going to visit Bova's, but decided to pivot after seeing the offerings in the window. While Bova's might have still been good, I am so glad we stopped by Parziale, since these were the best cannolis I ever had. The casing was so flaky and crunchy, and the filling was light but so delicious! We also got an eclair, which I usually find underwhelming. But this eclair was so good with a nice chocolatey glaze. We ate right out of the bakery and some folks noted that this spot is "where the locals go". If that's true, I can absolutely see why - will pay another visit when I'm back in town! read more

I originally wanted to go to Bova's next door, but the line was insane, so I visited Parziale's instead and didn't have any regrets. There wasn't any line at all, but there was definitely a much smaller selection. If you're just looking for a cookie or small treat to go, this is a solid spot. However, if you want specialty cakes or other fancier treats, you might want to endure the line elsewhere. There isn't really anywhere to sit, but it's fun to take your treat with you while exploring the North End. Don't expect much in the way of ambiance. Also, be prepared to either pay cash or spend enough to pay with card. With all the delicious treats here, that shouldn't be a problem! This is the best bakery in the North End. Period. Best cookies, and most importantly, absolute best calzone! The feta spinach calzone is unbelievable. They had lots of sweet treats and fresh loaves, but the cannoli was calling your girls name. Truly, one of the best cannolis I have had and I have had plenty in Italy, so definitely working with an extensive line up! My husband snagged the oreo cake cup, also tasty and light, but the cannoli really stole the show for me. Filled to order with classic filling and chocolate chips. After trying 3 different cannoli places during my Boston weekend, I now consider myself a cannoli connoisseur. *ahem* it is my expert opinion, that these cannolis are the best in town. Ok, not an expert but definitely did love these the most. The cannolis are filled fresh upon ordering. Then they are topped with chocolate chips (if you wish) and ready to eat. It had the right texture, flavor, and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Wish I had taken one more for road. Not as huge of a selection as other bakeries in the North End, but Parziale's is still worth a visit. Their cannolis are filled to order, which is great if you like a crispy shell that hasn't gotten soggy from sitting with the ricotta filling in a display case for who knows how long. I tried a lemon fruit square ($2.50). The lemon flavor was strong and the crust was super flaky! The square as a whole wasn't too sweet. Some of the reviews here rave about their pizza, but I really couldn't bring myself to try a slice. The pizza was sitting on the countertop under a sad-looking heat lamp... it felt like a recipe for food poisoning so I had to pass. For the taste and value alone of the lemon square, this place deserves 5 stars. Don't come here expecting incredible customer service, but their prices can't be beat. Stopped in last week for St. Joseph Zeppole's and was not disappointed, they had two (2) choices of filling: ricotta or custard (in my family yellow cream). Chose the custard, and bought two (2) was provided courtesy forks and napkins. It was beautiful see photo attached -- decorated with whipped cream flourish on the top and a cherry. Possibly the prettiest zeppoles I've ever seen and they were delicious. Will be returning to try their black/white/half moon cookies and other treats I saw in the case. read more

Most slept on place in town. Given the notoriety of Bova's next door and Mike's and Modern a block over, it makes sense, but still crazy how Parziale's seems to get a fraction of their business. Everyone here is down to earth, loving, and talkative - amazing hospitality! These are the best cannoli in town. Fresh and hand-filled, you can't beat it. Honorable mention to Walnut Sandies, pistachio and almond macaroons, and their turnovers. They have amazing, themed ice cookies around each holiday, which are my favorite cookies around. Their bread is baked just hours before opening every morning, with healthy and few ingredients. Try the 8 grain on Fridays or Saturdays, and the Scala everyday. We love Parziale's! read more
