What a novel idea! Who doesn't like Popovers?! They have plain, savory, and sweet ones. The even make a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Popover! Must come back for breakfast! I ordered a plain. It was heated up and served with butter. Excellent and very yummy! It's located in the Boston Public Market (about 1/4 mile from Quncy Market). Scaled down and not as crazy as Quincy (ww had just come from there). The woman that served me (maybe she's The Popover Lady?) was very pleasant and helpful. Can't wait tomgo back! read more

Had a little time to kill before our flight out and this was a block from our hotel. It was delicious. Got a couple savory and a sweet and enjoyed all of them. It's also convenient to a bunch of other places in the market so you can get coffee or a donut to round out the meal. Swing in and grab it to go or eat at the tables in the market. read more

The Popover Lady makes good popovers which in turn make very good breakfast sandwiches! I was looking for something hearty and filling and this definitely fit the bill. The popover was light and fluffy which paired very well with the weightier egg, cheese, and sausage. I visited on the weekend and they were busy, put the sandwich was ready pretty quickly and served nice and hot. read more

Stumbled across the Boston Public Market and wandered through to find this gem. I'm from NYC and grew up going to a restaurant that specialized in popovers. It's been over 20 years but these popovers instantly took me back to the great memories of my childhood. I ordered the mixed mini set which was conveniently packaged and made it home on my flight today. I also ordered an Asiago popover which was warmed up as I waited. It was light, buttery, with a hint of cheese. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy them again. The vibrant atmosphere of the market was fast pace but still felt cozy. read more

Solid popover sandwich. I ordered the bacon, egg and white cheddar cheese on an everything popover. It was ready in about 5 minutes and it was delicious! My only complaint is that the cheese could've been a little more melty, but it was a fantastic way to start the day. read more

The popovers are amazing! I didn't know I liked popovers this much until I tried one. I went to visit the stall after having a bagel and was thinking I was just going to get another carb item. Boy was I wrong! These things are so different than a regular bagel and I regretted not getting these instead. They're so fluffy, crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside and somehow has so much airy texture in between. It has an eggy flavor so something between bread and pastry. The popover lady heats it up right there for you (or it could be freshly made) and it is so warm and soft. It's $4 for a regular sized popover and I got the Asiago cheese flavor with nothing in it. It was already packed with flavor from the cheese, no cream cheese or filling needed. It's so good we went right back to get more to take home. Next time, we will have to get the sandwich version to see what those taste like. read more

All I can say is that I didn't know that I needed an asiago cheese popover when I woke up on Sautrday morning. By the time I got to the Boston Public Market and saw the plump dough-y popovers, it was love at first sight. The asiago cheese definitely came through, but didn't overpower the delicateness of the pastry. Two pats of butter were the perfect amount to accompany every airy and light morsel. I loved it from end to end and am thankful that the Popover Lady exists! read more

Full transparency I've never had a popover before but this place changed my mind. It was made upon ordering so it came out so warm and fresh. The batter was soft and everything goes well together. I will say breakfast has never been my favorite meal of this day but a bacon, egg, and cheese Popover what the winner for best food we had at the Boston Public Market. Sorry to the French but these popovers are much better then any croissant I have ever had. The other nice thing about the Popover Lady is that the cheese they you is so creamy and has so much flavor. Also check out the pictures but they really load up on the bacon too. Nothing is more frustrating then a breakfast sandwich lacking in the bacon. For a amazing breakfast/brunch or even lunch sandwich this is the place to go and the winner of our trip to Boston Public Market. read more

I needed to eat something savory to recover from the box of overly cloying baked goods at Mike's Pastry down the street. Just to settle my stomach. A popover was just the ticket. I picked a regular one. Warm and smeared with butter, it was light and crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I also tried the Asiago and the Onion. All three were really good. The Popover Lady is located in the corner of the Boston Public Market next to Crescent Ridge and across from Mother Juice. It's a small stall front with a few different popover options. I got the asiago popover and turned it into a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that I got toasted. The worker asked me if I wanted any salt, pepper, or hot sauce and I only opted for salt and regretted it later. The popover is super light, fluffy, and airy with a slight crisp from the toasting. The moment you see the pink neon popover sign you know you're in for a treat. The Popover Lady is an absolute hidden gem! It's clear they take pride in what they do, and the quality shines through in every bite. What stands out the most is the perfect balance of texture--crispy on the outside, soft and eggy on the inside. Even my cats like these popovers. They never steal people food, but both have stolen Asiago Cheese popovers right out of my bag when I've bought them home. Great service and tasty product! Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** I got mine to eat in person at BPM, so my pancake was heated up and served in a little tray. She asked if I wanted any toppings on the side, and I requested syrup and butter. I got everything with a fork, knife, and napkin, so it was a perfect package all ready to eat -- super convenient! **Decor and cleanliness, 5/5** This stall is located in BPM, which is very cute and well maintained. The stall itself and the displays were also super clean, and the woman helping me was wearing a mask and prepared everything with gloves. **Presentation of the food, 5/5** After heating up my blueberry dutch baby pancake ($5), she dusted it with sugar and served it to me with all my requested condiments. The pancake itself is very cute and they're really generous with the blueberries. **Price and portion, 5/5** I thought this was the perfect size for a snack, but not enough for a breakfast. $5 is a bit high for what I would usually spend, but I totally understand because rent in BPM is probably high plus small business owners need more support right now. **Taste of the food, 4/5** Like any pancake, it was a bit bland without the syrup, so I'm glad I was able to get that on the side. When I think popover, I think of the Neiman Marcus popovers and the consommé. I miss it. The popover was decent. I brought a mix of three (original, asiago cheese, and toasted onion) and a mini box of cinnamon sugar flavor. I did not heat it up since it was taken away, but the was still fluffy without heating up. I dipped the original and cinnamon sugar flavor with vanilla ice cream, it taste really good. The asiago cheese and toasted onion, I heated up but it kind of tastes similar. the asiago cheese doesn't have a strong flavor compared to the toasted onion flavor. I do recommend the original and the cinnamon sugar flavor. read more

Here are the highlights: - They toasted the popover to order. It was warm and crunchy, but not particularly custard-y inside. I really appreciated that they didn't smush the popover when they wrapped the sandwich in foil. - The Canadian Bacon was salty, while everything else was not. My wife is English, so I've had a fair number of Yorkshire puddings and those are quite similar to what they're serving up at The Popover Lady in Boston Public Market. A very flexible platform that does savory just as well as it does sweets though I prefer sweets. Today, I got one of their "Dutch Baby" style popovers, which is a very large "bowl" of batter and then a big scoop of fresh blueberry jam added to it. They'll also dust it with powdered sugar but it really doesn't need it as it is sweet enough. Easy to eat with knife and fork, get yourself a coffee from George Howell or better yet, a tea from Soluna. read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and to get out of the cold wind! We both ordered the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. There was a nice serving of bacon & the use of a popover was such a nice change and we really enjoyed them. The gal working the counter was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms in the market are locked and need a code. There are tables in the center of the market and we had to share ours but there was plenty of room. I would totally go back again! My first popover from The Popover Lady was back in 2016, when she was a temporary pop-up at Boston Public Market over by where Levend Bagelry currently resides. I picked up 3 popovers for $7 and I figured maybe I like the thought of popovers more than the reality of them. Love the Popover Lady! Enjoyed having breakfast almost every day while I was in Boston. Tried the Cinnamon and the Asiago cheese- absolutely delicious! My friend had the popover w/eggs and bacon. Price wasn't too bad for the location (Boston public market isn't that cheap) and this economy- $6 for the egg and cheese and $7.50 for the blt. Popover sandwiches are lovely flaky and light bread bowls stuffed with goodness. If I could give this shop a 10 I would. This is the BEST DESSERT IVE EVER HAD. Order the Boston Cream Pie and it won't disappoint, ate the whole thing up (alone)! The meal options are all on laminated pages instead of on a big board, but they did have a lot of good options. We started with regular drip coffee which was ready quickly and we could sweeten to our liking. We tried the house breakfast which was two eggs any style (got them fluffy and scrambled), crispy bacon, cheesy potato fritters with tomato jam (similar to ketchup), and sourdough bread (we asked for butter) it was all very filling and some nice spins on a traditional breakfast. The bakery selection is out of this world - from breakfast pastries to delicately crafted desserts. The cinnamon and pecan rose was just like the center of a cinnamon bun, which was fantastic. It was big enough for two people to indulge without overdoing it. There weren't a lot of outlets, so not ideal for long term laptop use, but the food came quickly, it wasn't too loud even with a ton of people coming in and out. The prices were reasonable, and everything tasted amazing.

Orange blossom latte- frankly didn't get any flavor of orange blossom in the latte, until it melted totally I could taste it a little in the coffee. The vanilla was also really light. It's a pretty unadulterated coffee (as is typical for a cold brew) and I kinda like my coffee sweet and creamy, so I was not too impressed on a first taste. But once it melted I liked it a lot more.
