Caramel Iced Latte was far too sweet I couldn't finish it. Tasted fake. Got a sausage egg and cheese with avocado - covered in butter, falling apart. I walked for a few blocks to south station with it in the bag they gave me so didn't really have the opportunity to smush it in any capacity. I wish I went to Tatte. Waste of $20. I walked past this cute cafe on my way to work and thought I'd stop by for a drink. I ordered their iced strawberry matcha and it was easily the worst I've ever had. 50% of the drink was just smeared strawberry preserves and with a splash of milk and a sprinkle of matcha. A shame because their sandwiches looked interesting but I don't think I'll be back to try anything else. read more

Stopped by for lattes & quick breakfast on a Saturday morning -- unfortunately we did not enjoy the latte or breakfast sandwich. We left without finishing our food or coffees. The lattes were scalding hot (which tells you the almond milk was over steamed) and the taste was sour, burnt tire which is not palatable. **For the coffee lovers out there, you'll want to head to a different coffee shop for an elevated experience (still searching myself - had to make my own Onyx Coffee Lab instant version to start my day). Got the southwestern sandwich yesterday which was pretty basic sandwich like chicken, lettuce, tomato, avo, bacon. Was so bland hot sauce didn't help and it was supposed to have chipotle but it was straight nasty white mayo. Also had the worst stomach cramps at work later and it was all I ate all day so never returning here. read more

Cute cafe right by Seaport, the Financial District, and Chinatown! They serve beverages, pastries, and actual food! Big and small bites! I went in on a Monday around noon and there no wait and the service was quick! Happy to share that the hot and iced beverages are roughly the same price! At least for matcha lattes, which is what I got -- a small, iced matcha latte with oat milk. I didn't mention sweetener and I'm not sure if they put it in but it was yummy! $5.62 after tax for a small. It's been a personal goal to check out different cafes in Boston and this one was pretty good for what I got. There are three Sorelle's in the vicinity, so be sure you're getting the right one. We stopped into the one on Congress near the Federal Reserve building for breakfast today. It's a small place and it was busy this morning! Ordering at the counter and our breakfast sandwiches were prepared to order. Mom and I both got salmon bagels, getting the last of their "everything." The bagels were okay, different than what I was expecting. These seemed more baked than boiled and baked as a bagel should be. Still tasty and the cream cheese, salmon, onion and tomato were good. A cute little coffee shop for a quick snack or bite to eat. I was in the city for a day of job interviews and had a few hours to kill. I ordered the caprese sandwich and it did not disappoint! Ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the wait was not long. The best part was that it was relatively affordable for a filling meal-- food in this area can get pricey! I sat at the window to charge my phone and finish some paperwork, and I didn't feel unwelcome staying for a few hours even though I'd already finished eating. Upon arriving in Boston in the early afternoon, my two friends and I were looking for a cute little coffee shop that was relatively close to South Station. We ended up decided on Sorelle and made our way there with the superior mapping app: Google Maps. I ordered a caramel latte and a prosciutto panini. The panini was delicious, albeit the prosciutto was on the saltier side. Nevertheless, it still hit the spot. A lot of the reviews on here talk about how the service was really bad. It's strange because I had a great experience! The two young workers were chatty, funny, and quick to get things done. Maybe it's because we seemed to be around the same age as them (college student age), but there was not a single thing wrong with our experience there. Sorelle had wifi, outlets, and a clean and modern vibe to the place. The only thing I would suggest is to add larger tables with more seating so more than two people can sit together without feeling cramped. read more

It's a Saturday. Not much open around here for breakfast except for Panera up the road or this lovely place. My bff works next door and often says how good this place is. I was going to stroll to Panera but came here instead. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious. They have egg and cheddar, potato spinach fritatta wrap, Nutella and banana panini and some other scrumptious items. Lunch items look tasty too. I got a bacon, egg and cheddar on country white with arugula, caramelized onions and tomato. Yummy!! I was happy that I could customize it a little. Desserts and breakfast sweet things (oat bars, muffins etc) look and taste good. I tried the berry oat bar and it's pleasant. Not too sweet and very yummy. Really bad first impression. Hadn't even ordered coffee yet and already felt like I'd walked into the wrong place. I came in Saturday morning: two staff working, one previous customer or friend of barista is chatting with her when I get there. It's one of those scenarios where the customer feels awkward for interrupting the employee to inconvenience them with something petty like, you know, placing their order. Whole interaction with me was perfunctory, transactional, and done while half continuing her conversation with her friend, now halfway down the counter from the register. My standards may be way too high. But I work hard and try to be professional. I judge people harshly (obviously) when they don't at least try. If you guys are going for the casual look, don't name your cafe an Italian word that takes some working knowledge of the foreign language to properly pronounce. Latte was ok. Too light (weight-wise) to be an actual latte but as far as cappuccini go, at least it wasn't burnt. read more

Dyla and Alejandro were especially remarkable with the service they provided. This place is great. It's clean with a good selection of drinks and food. I also found the customer service and cleanliness to be refreshing. They have a good system in place and both appealing outdoor and indoor seating. Win-win! Well Sorelle disappoints again. The only reason this place functions as a business is because it is so accessible to the downtown offices so they don't actually have to make an effort. I have now been to this location twice and I know I will be back, especially since it is a stone's throw from my office. The first time, some friends and I went for lunch. There were plenty of tables available when we arrived, but they filled up quick. One friend and I ordered pressed sandwiches and we both thought they were great. My friend even mentioned that he actually wanted to go back to the counter and tell them how good it was. I can't recall what my other friend had, but she was also pleased and we all said we would be back. Today I was heading back to the office and thinking I didn't want my soup, but was in the mood for a sandwich so I decided to stop in again. I ordered another pressed sandwich - the Caprese, and it was just so delicious that I almost want another. Both times we have gone in, the service has been really good - friendly and knowledgeable. Long lines on a Saturday morning, likely from the guests at the Intercontinental around the corner. The two young ladies behind the counter were clearly trying hard, but struggling to keep up and appeared to have little to no training, frantically moving back and forth between orders in an attempt to get things out and not making much progress. I ordered the salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onion breakfast sandwich on a bagel, but the person making it clearly wasn't familiar with the offering and got confused between two different lines on the menu board on the wall she was reading for instructions. What I ended up with was cold-smoked salmon, tomato, egg white, and swiss cheese - an unpleasant amalgamation of two sandwiches. It was like a deli/breakfast episode of Chopped, and I the reluctant judge. Error aside, I credit the employees for clearly rushing to get things done, though the result was subpar. Perhaps someone with more knowledge was running late or called in sick or maybe it's a management failure to provide proper training. In any event, I wouldn't give it a second try. read more

Food: have ordered their bagels, pumpernickel and wheat w/chive cream cheese. Taste fresh, plenty of cream cheese. Prices: Reasonable, especially for the seaport. Can get a small coffee/small drink and a bagel for ~$5--many other places charge ~$7-$10. Service: Friendly, fast. Lady told me difference between traditional macchiato vs. Starbucks' version (I'm not a huge coffee drinker, this info was very helpful). Ambiance: modern cafe. The area outside was well-maintained as well as the inside was super clean and a nice area to sit down and have a cup of joe before you walk around and see the Tea Party Harbor or the surrounding attractions. Sorelle has been in operation for several years in the Financial District and I have frequented there often. In general I give Sorelle 3 stars for past performance, but have lowered that to 2 stars based on the past two experiences. While it is important to make a positive first impression and get through that first year of operation and then that second year where the vast majority of restaurants fail, beyond that proprietors need to reinvigorate themselves and keep their returning clientele happy. This is where Sorelle has failed in recent months. The positives in addition to location near the Greenway park and the Fort Point Channel park areas include the vast menu. They offer salads to wraps & sandwiches to pressed sandwiches to flatbreads and soups. They also have unique dessert offerings and assorted breakfast muffins, biscotti and coffee beverages for the morning crowds. Negatives include the layout of confusing lines for ordering and where to stand awaiting your order without crowding customers seated at the few window tables. Sometimes the staff is helpful in directing newbies to an open register and other times they are left behind to fend for themselves. This is hit or miss based on my multiple prior visits. More relevant to my recent experiences and 2 star ratings have to deal with the customer experience. While no clear signs are posted on the door indicating their hours of operation, I entered Sorelle after the lunch rush (close to 2PM) on a Friday. Upon approaching the register to order, I noticed the staff already cleaning. Instead of asking what I wanted and if that item was available (like a pre-packaged salad) I was met with disappointed eyes and the statement that they were closing. So, who was I to even ask if they had something quick to take out without much prep, I just walked away since they didn't really care that a customer was in their open establishment. Based on that experience I was tempted to just write Sorelle off forever, but I have been there many times prior and admittedly I was there after the lunch rush (but clearly during open hours since the doors were not locked). Today I went in during the lunch rush and ordered a pressed Cuban sandwich to switch things up on my end. They are pre-made, wrapped and in the refrigerator until time to be pressed, re-wrapped and served. I paid for my Cuban and waited. When called I took my bag and left only to find my sandwich still ice cold inside without even the cheese melted. That was so disappointing to uncover and the sandwich only suitable for the trash. With so many lunch options in good weather and bad, I guess it is time to find an alternative location where proprietors still value the customer experience over keeping the line moving and the register ringing before it is time to cut out for the day or weekend. read more

Coffee is ok. Staff is very nice. But every time I order a bagel, it comes with the tiniest amount of cream cheese and they never cut it in two. Small complaints, but it's just annoying. Let me start by saying i don't typically review restaurants. But my experience at Sorelle this morning was awful! This morning my girlfriend mentioned a bakery that we should try. I live in the fort point area and have been looking for a new bfast spot to frequent since i have grown sick of Flour Bakery (Flour is awesome, friendly and tasty). So i was excited to try Sorelle. We arrived to the bakery at about 810 AM i was happy to see we beat the rush. there was no one in line. About five seconds after we walked in a gentlemen came in. He must have been a regular because the staff looked right past my girlfriend and I and began to serve this person. we happily stepped to the side because we were figuring out which sandwich and pastries to get. Shortly ppl began to to stand behind us. we were standing slightly to the right. another gentlemen was standing right next to me. the barista decided to take his order. I told her excuse me we have been here before anyone. She responded by saying "i know but you looked unsure and now I need to serve everyone else go to the back of the line." She chose to not acknowledge us when we entered the bakery, she chose to not serve us and she chose to send us to the back of the line. no reasonable person would do this. We chose to walk way and not spend any of our money there. We will continue our hunt for another bakery in the fort point/financial district area. In the meantime, i will keep going to Flour where i will at least be treated as a person. read more

I go every other week that I'm in Boston during their lunch hour (yes, it is insane busy BUT I do get my Southwest Chicken Sandwich within barely 6 minutes): Cons * Hot chocolate is a pass * Menu list needs to be updated -- no homemade ice cream sandwich or soft serve yogurt??? * their staff seems overworked, probably hence why they seem rude. Since I've been going there for lunch it's clear to me that there's a reason why --- management or...? I'm an HR manager in NYC. Pros * Delicious sandwiches made less than 10 minutes (that's pretty good compared to other cafes in Boston) * Drool-worthy yogurt parfait and salads (big portions) * Good coffee, lattes, and cappuccino * Friendly staff once you get to know them and are nice to them (go back to point #3 in "Cons"). They pretty much mirror back whatever attitude you give them. That can be good and bad * Clean environment with good music My favorite sandwiches: Southwest Chicken Sandwich Prosciutto, Fig, and Goat Cheese Sandwich Sorelle Club Caprese 4 stars because I know the staff works very hard, especially during the insane lunch hour rush. Plus the food is delicious. UPDATE: I'm cutting off two stars from before, updating it to two stars. The disrespect that I've seen from the service side is appalling. Came in last week during lunch and had a change of heart on how I feel about this place. DON'T GO HERE.
