I'm giving Alen 5 stars and he didn't even finish my smog check! When I brought my Mini Cooper in for a smog check, she had a check engine light on. Having never had to get a smog check before (lucky, I know) I didn't realize this meant an automatic fail! Alen kindly explained to me what the error code was on my car and advised me on what to do. He could have completed the smog check and charged me to fail but instead he was honest-rare in the world of mechanics! 6-30-2017: just brought a newer car for smog. Again, pass or fail does not have a bearing on my review. Upon pulling up to the driveway, my car was on the dyno within a minute, and the test was completed within 10 minutes therafter. $40 this time all inclusive with the Yelp promo (which seems to be available as their standard price to everyone), and out the door within 15 minutes. Okay, i didnt pass, but its because i didnt drive for 50 to 100 miles since a recent repair was conducted my car. I found this place because of all the Yelp reviews and the $20 off coupon on Yelp. Everything happened so fast that I almost don't know what to write. The person in the garage greeted me immediately; he was extremely nice and polite. He told me that he was finishing up with a customer and showed me into the waiting room, offering me tea and snacks. After a few minutes, he brought me paperwork to sign and retrieved my keys. Another few minutes later, he handed me back my keys and told me he was finished. I was hoping this place will satisfy me. I was very glad that this place lives up to my expectation. There were 2 cars in front of me but the owner was very glad to tell me it shouldn't take long. I wasn't in a hurry and he showed me to the waiting room which is also his office. The place was very clean and professional. The owner was very nice and he really like doing his job. He took care of the smog check very quickly and even told me some tips about my Mercedes. He is very knowledgable, professional, happy, nice, smiling, clean, honest person. I went in for the smog test, the owner told me that since I had an aftermarket intake, I needed to contact Injen to get a CARB sticker before I get a smog check. I did as he said and went right back the next week with my sticker and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. He even remembered me and asked how it went contacting Injen. An honest shop run by the nicest couple, and it's hard to find a cheaper and easier place. read more

I'm a procrastinator... I got my car smog checked here about 18 months ago, but it really was a good experience. For 45 years I've always done as much car maintenance as I can myself: brake jobs, tune ups, oil changes and even rebuilding carburetors (back in the old days), so I know about a bit about engines. I've always been hesitant to have another mechanic work on my car and a bit paranoid about getting ripped off. At this shop I was pleasantly surprised. I had changed the air filter a few days before the test, and on a 2005 Dodge Stratus, you have to disconnect the battery. When Alen checked my car it gave him a 'Not ready for test" error since disconnecting the battery wiped out all the data in the cars computer. Alen still ran the check and my emission results were excellent, but because of this error, he could not send in the report to Sacramento. He told me to put some mileage on the car, so the computer would store enough data, and then come back for a retest, which also went fine. He only charged me the standard fee for the one test. Bottom line is: I feel Alen is a straight-shooter and even I felt comfortable that he is very knowledgeable and honest. read more

I went to this place for an oil change - I was not entirely sure if they performed such a service or not. I called and spoke with a gentleman named Allen and he told me that he can help me.
