    Pisco Sour

The restaurant looks great; whoever did their social media did it justice. It looked exactly like IG. Started my birthday dinner with Pisco Sours and ended it with Espresso Martinis; they were absolutely perfect. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, and what she likes, great personality. Definitely made for a positive lasting impression. The appetizers were literally the best I've had in a while. Ceviche usually comes in smaller portions and is not as flavorful as theirs. I was very happy to eat the ceviche here. We did eat other equally amazing apps; unfortunately, I did not get a picture. Also, unfortunately, we didn't like or finish our entrees; they just didn't seem to have any flavor. We'll definitely return for the drinks and apps. They also have a DJ, we're looking forward to going for the DJ.

This new Peruvian restaurant in Astoria is worth the visit. The decor of this restaurant is amazing. This restaurant gives a luxury vibe. Now, because this restaurant is new, they did not have a drink but our waitress Pam made some suggestions on what we should have to drink. Drinks Lychee Martini 5/5 Coconut Guava Margarita 5/5 Piso Sour 5/5 PStar Martini 3.5/5 Food The wonton tacos are a must as an app. The Snapper was good but the snapper needed more acidity and flavor but was cooked perfectly. Lomo Saltado was really tasty and was the perfect portion size. Tres Leche cake was perfect cap to dinner. Not overly sweet. The meals were about $28-40 and each cocktail was $18. This location serves hookah after 11 and it's $50 and $25 for refills.

The experience was amazing! We tried their fish dishes and steak with rice, and everything was delicious. The customer service was excellent--they always made an effort to accommodate whatever drink we wanted. The place is spacious and very Instagram-worthy as well. Few seating options. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Amazing Peruvian food and such a great experience overall. Vicki was so friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. We started with the jalea and ceviche -- both were super fresh and full of flavor. The passion fruit pisco sour was delicious, and the lychee martini was one of my favorites of the night. For dinner, the lomo salteado was excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. The branzino was the perfect size, fresh, and seasoned really well. The seafood risotto honestly might be the best I've had anywhere. We finished with the churros and tres leches cake, and both were absolutely worth it. Everything we ordered was delicious. Definitely a place we'll come back to.

Super excited to have a amazing restaurant with a wonderful ambience, food is just perfect proportions and super flavorful, lomo salteado and the chaufa sooo good. I dropped a star, because the service was a bit slow, drinks were taking longer than usual. Had to ask for utensils and napkins because food came and nothing to eat with. Understand its their second week opening, but the hats standard. Otherwise good place to hang out with your girls or date.

The service was good in the VIP section and the bartenders at the bar were very attentive. The meat empanadas were absolutely delicious, the flour was crispy and the filling was tasty. I ordered margaritas at the bar which were very well made and strong. The only thing that really ruined the experience was seeing a roach in the VIP section. I know these things are difficult to control since the location is very close to the train but it did ruin the experience either way. The music was pretty good, had a variety of different genres. I would come here again to maybe have a drink at the bar but not for their VIP.

The bartender did a great job preparing our margaritas and the empanadas we ordered were delicious. The upsetting part was when I was in the middle of a conversation with a friend and a cockroach the size of my middle finger landed in my arm. I didn't let it ruin my night, but they should do a better job handling their pest issues.

Yesterday we stopped in for some food and drink and we saw that they were setting up tables for an event. It looked beautiful. We were told that they were closed due to the event so the wife went to use the restroom before we left. While waiting, I started talking to a very friendly guy named Joe about the Knicks. Funny enough, he turned out to be the owner. When the wife came out, I asked if we could just have one drink at the bar since we came all the way out there, and Joe told the bartender "Let these two sit and order some drinks". We sat, drank, and talked to the owner about business and life in general and it was one of the most pleasant times we've had at a bar in years. We are fans of Cityview (and Joe) for life.

Is it the most impressive view of the skyline? No. But that's not where this place really shines. What truly sells City View Rooftop is the space. It's incredible. You could easily host a full on graduation party, baby shower, or just about any event you can think of THEN add that you can see the Manhattan skyline. The indoor outdoor layout is beautiful and works perfectly for summer, spring, or even a crisp fall day. The sound system is great, and there are seven or eight screens along the wall showing different visuals, which adds to the vibe. Service was excellent throughout our visit. And finally let's talk Shirley Temples. As a self proclaimed Shirley Temple connoisseur, I can confidently say theirs were chef's kiss.

It's a quaint little bar that hosts different DJs and Karaoke Nights. People were very lively, and all the songs were pretty popular. The drinks themselves were amazing. We got the Mermaid, one of their signatures, but replaced the rum with vodka, and it was genuinely so good. It tasted sweet and paired well with the salt rim. We had a couple of other drinks, such as a Strawberry Mojito, but I can't exactly remember the names of the other drinks, since they made them based on the flavors we wanted. They were extremely well-made drinks, though. The only side note is that the bathroom is a little questionable since it's two toilets in one bathroom, but, nonetheless, Chowk is still a vibe. It can get a little tight if there are a lot of people, since it's a small spot, but the drinks and vibes are worth going in for.

Loved this place and will continue to come back every Saturday…read more I came here specifically to listen to jazz. Every Saturday night, they host a jazz night, starting at 8pm. I love jazz and thought I should stop by and see if it's any good. I was so surprised at how great it was. Going to Chowk, you'll first notice a few things. It feels a bit gimmicky. It's partially the decor, partially the plant wall thing, partially the neon sign. The entire place is set up in a way so that every pic you might post on social media would look great. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's a vibe. The shape of the place makes it feel a bit like a railroad apt. Bar is on the right as you come in, with a couch set up between the windows and the bar. On the left is long wall seating. Small tables as well with stools on the other side. At the far end is a good size stage with a jumbo screen behind it. I looked at their cocktail menu and decided to get a "My Name Is." It was delicious and it's the only cocktail I've gotten on the three visits there. It's a Nepali bar and I've also had one of their Nepali beers which was also good. In regard to the jazz, it was phenomenal. I felt somewhat bad that they don't have the crowd (yet) that they deserve. When you go, there's no doubt you're in the presence of greatness, that these musicians have practiced their entire lives to bring this to you and you're able to just sit there and enjoy it. I felt truely blessed. The staff here is chill and kind and are appreciative of patrons. I can't wait to go back for more. Highly recommend as just a chill vibe cocktail bar and highly recommend for the jazz.
