I've ordered from this place several times as well as stopping by before or after the airport for reliable Cuban food. Not only do they have great prices, they're also very centrally located. Plus, they actually have a parking lot which avoids a hassle. Whether it's the ventanita or a full meal-they got what you need. I do appreciate how they really make their maduros nice and crispy on the edges. On this last visit, I added the blackberry Dijon sauce on the side to dip my chicken breast in and it was a pretty interesting flavor profile for such a small dip. It's a chill spot but w a miami Cuban diner approach to it so depending on the time of day or day of the week, you can expect a rush or just have it nice and peaceful. Loved this place. We flew in around 930am and was staying at the Embassy Suites so this restaurant was close by. We wanted breakfast and this place did not disappoint. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. My coffee cup never ran below 1/2 cup! We both got egg white omlets and both were oversized and cooked perfectly. Came through for breakfast and it was a beautiful reminder of going to breakfast with my Abuelos when I was a kid. Literally had the same dish (see the photos) and the cafe con leche was fantastic. She said that it was very good. I had the chicken and rice, a traditional Cuban meal. The rice was very good but there was hardly no chicken in it. The meal was all rice. I had the avocado toast, and it was fresh, seasoned well, and came out looking exactly like something you'd post up on your feed. Prices were reasonable, portions were solid, and the spot works whether you're flying solo, catching up with a friend, or squeezing in a breakfast meeting. My partner and I stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Its concept is similar to a classic American diner, but with Latin vibes and a Latin-inspired menu, which I really liked. The restaurant has a large indoor space, plus an outdoor terrace with many tables. In addition, there's an open takeaway window on one side, where people can buy Cuban coffee and other small items. We decided to sit inside. The restaurant was very clean, and all the furniture looked to be in great condition. Two waitresses came to take our order - one didn't speak much English, so the other translated for her. This was totally fine, as both ladies were extremely nice and sweet. The Spanish-speaking waitress was super attentive for the rest of our stay. She was always around, checked on our food and refills a couple of times, and brought the bill right when we asked for it. Great service! The restaurant menu is large and offers a good variety of food - mostly Cuban dishes. We wanted to try a few things, so we ordered four tapas: Beef Empanada + Ham & Cheese Empanada, Croquettes, Yuca Fries and Shrimp Ceviche. All of the food came out at once and pretty fast; we waited only about 10 minutes. The ham croquettes came in four pieces, served with a sauce that had a sweet flavor, somewhat similar to BBQ sauce. We liked the croquettes, and the sauce paired well with them. I had the ham & cheese empanada, and my partner had the beef empanada. We both agreed that the empanadas were tasty. By the way, I originally wanted the beef empanada too, but I asked if it had olives, and since it did, I skipped it, as I don't like olives. The yuca fries were very nice, and the portion was big! They came with garlic aioli on the side, which was very tasty. Last but not least, the shrimp ceviche was super delicious! Out of all four tapas, it was definitely my favorite. The ceviche had so much flavor! The shrimp were super fresh! The portion was generous; they definitely didn't skimp on shrimp. It also came with banana chips on the side, which was a great touch. To drink, I ordered watermelon juice, and it was absolutely fantastic - so fresh, flavorful, and tasty! I felt extremely happy drinking it. Our final bill for everything was $41, which I thought was reasonable. I especially want to highlight the $8.99 shrimp ceviche - an amazing deal for a large portion of fresh shrimp! I highly recommend ordering the shrimp ceviche as a starter; you won't regret it. Overall, the menu prices were very affordable and reasonable. Another plus of this business is that there are plenty of parking spots around the restaurant. But the only downside for me is the location - it's quite far from Miami center (where I live). The only way for me to get there is by driving, and from Midtown it's at least a 15-minute drive. Because of the location, this isn't a place I would visit regularly. Unfortunately! But I definitely wish to return to this place soon and eat there again. And I 100% recommend everyone visit this restaurant at least once. I'm sure you won't regret it! read more

My favorite place for many cuban dishes that include arroz con pollo, picadillo and chicken churrasco with moros... I've literally tried and enjoyed everything on the menu. So we come to Miami every year for work and play and the one thing we must do every year is visit the Latin Cafe 2000! The food is very good and always made correctly. The empanadas with that wonderful green sauce is an experience that all should have at least once in their lifetime! The service is always excellent and the waitress are all gorgeous and very kind. The atmosphere is awesome. You can choose to dine inside or out...it's up to you. My only complaint would be that the parking is a little atrocious and some of the cushions in the outside seating has seen better days. May be time for an upgrade. The food was different not in a bad way. So I'm from Texas I had the huevos rancheros and it is not the same huevos rancheros from Texas. Having said that I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was the beans and house potatoes were tasty and well seasoned, I also had croquetas which paired well with their house sauce. The jugo de parcha puerto rico or as i found out today maracuya was fresh and delicious. Now the cortadito with evaporated milk was a great way to end my meal and give me a boost for the day. In a city not known for its kindness (again I'm from Texas a howdy, smile, and nod go a long way), my server Thalia was a great she was helpful smiled and checked up on me multiple times. I always come to this location i have never had in issue with the service. The food sometimes has inconsistencies depending on the time and day if its breakfast or dinner time. Today i went to have breakfast was seated by a server with really thick dark glasses female her demeanor was off right from the moment we sat. She was bothered i requested a high chair for my baby. As my daughter was waiting for her food she was holding the sugar packets and the server took them off her hands . And walked away.... I can recommend you to try the chicken soup, the yuca, and the flan because they are delicious. I ordered the fried chicken pieces and the tostones, however that dish won't be my to go plate there because the chicken was dry and over-fried and the tostones were bland, it feel like I was eating crunchy carton but I was impressed by our server Yadira, she was splendid and so candid, she explained the reason why they didn't tasted fresh and suggested to try the yuca instead. My waiter last night was Julio, and I appreciated his attention to detail.The mashed potatoes I enjoyed was a good texture and not that dense. Likewise, I like the fact they have tortilla de plátano (Spanish style omelette with sweet plantains). I was able to satisfy my sweet tooth (pun intended) with a generous helping of plantain, and he had the kitchen keep the eggs runny to make it easier on my circumstance.
