I bought the: - Tofu pudding/dessert tofu/dou hua with brown sugar on the side - Delicious and silky! The brown sugar was light and added just enough sweetness to complement the tofu. - Taro buns (5 ct) - This is the best taro bun my family and I ever had. The breadskin is so light and fluffy. The taro paste filling was not overly dense nor sweet. You can really taste the taro in the filling. - Organic scallion buns (6 ct) - This is the best scallion bun my family and I ever had. We could taste the scallion flavor without it being too strong. The bun was a touch denser than the taro bun. - Meat and veggie buns - The meat and veggie filling was delicious and not too saltym. The veggies in the filling still has a crunch to them (unlike buns I've tried from other places). The bun itself was light and not too dense. - Unsweetened soy milk - The soy milk was light and the perfect consistency. It isn't thick or grainy like some other soy milks can be. - Tofu jerky - Flavorful, but not too salty. Great pairing with a bowl of rice! - Zongzi (Taiwanese style) - Delicious and light. Also not too salty or rich. The shop itself is small, but very clean and organized. The shop owner is so cute and enthusiastic about all of her products. She shared how to best store them since she doesn't use preservatives and how to heat them. There is a handwritten menu in Chinese on a board to the side of the refrigerated section. The refrigerator doors also had photos of the item with the name in English and Chinese, and the price. The non-refrigerated part of the store has shelves with sauces you could use to prepare/cook your tofu. Cash and credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) accepted, although there is a 5% charge for using credit card. They're located at the very end of Front St (dead end). They're in the brick building with no signage/store name. If the door is locked during the posted business hours, just ring the doorbell and the owner will open the door for you. Parking is shared with other shops on this street. With the flow of customers coming and going, I never had any issues finding a spot.

Once inside there is a white board with hand written menu of everything they offer. The menu is in Chinese with some English. I got the sweet soy milk and the tofu dessert. Both were phenomenal. You can really tell they make their soy products fresh in the factory next door. The shopkeeper is super sweet and offered bags of ice in case I had a long drive home. Overall fantastic spot to get some freshly made soy products - milk, tofu, everything made with tofu and some random things like frozen dumplings. Being your own shopping bag or box to carry your goods.

Second the owner Ice cream crafter is award winning and the friendliest guy explaining alll his custom yummy creations. Third there is also a craft beer counter serving craft beer and wine along with beer and wine floats using the homemade ice cream. What is better than two of the best things in the world beer on tap and homemade crafted gourmet ice cream!!!! I scream for both! This ice cream artist has taken it up on flavors and has come up with some super delish unique items some that include a little beer in them to make them extra creamy and some non dairy made with coconut milk. You can taste your heart out as every flavor is temping and made of fresh natural ingredients. Definitely one of the best ice cream shops that i have come across and probably I think the best in SoCal. This place makes Handels look like baskin Robbin's and makes others like after and salt & straw look commercialized. Because this guy is crafting the ice cream that he knows the people want and takes ultra pride in his product. A must visit place - located at the end of old town Covina that is also worth a visit to dine at and walk around. I'm coming back for a beer float on their patio and to pick up one of their cool tshirts. They also sell by the pint. This is ice cream heaven at its best!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Tokyo Central yet, though I've stopped by here…read moredozens of times - my go to is their sushi tray options! They have the BEST tasting salmon sushi/sashimi all around, at this price point, even better salmon quality compared to nearby sushi restaurants in my opinion. (Our Japanese native friend also agrees.) Best part is - 20% off after 7 pm!!!! But the trays get snatched up quickly. Too bad I'm not around the area at that time, otherwise I'd make Tokyo Central my weekly run for dinner. Their Kimchi Tako Poke is another regular we get, it's so good. However, recently, the only option I saw was the Shoyu Tako Poke - and I didn't like this version one bit - too hard and the flavor is not to my liking. Will never get it again. The hot food area has quite a decent selection, priced and weight by the pound, self-served. Often around 3-4pm, you may see 20% discounted packaged hot food placed out, whatever that's leftover from the lunch rush hour. Tried it a few times, but felt most of the food is heavily dosed in MSG, so I'd be selective on what I get. They also have sashimi party trays which require pre-order. Great pricing for the quality and convenience. Overall, love their sushi selection, and it's a regular stop for us. As for the market itself, there's not as much to buy, and pricing is on the higher end. However, they have a larger selection of some products that I can't find elsewhere, and sometimes their advertised specials are decently priced.

My favorite #1: Their eggs have golden yellow yolks, which you won't find in most supermarkets. My favorite #2: their baked teriyaki eels; you can make Eel Rice for the a small family with one package, usually between $25-35 but sometimes on sale for under $20. My favorite #3: their thick sliced bread (厚片土司) - each slice is about twice as thick as ordinary sliced break; very gratifying when they pop out of the toaster! They also have a huge selection of ready-made food from bento boxes to sushi. A great place for busy working people to get easy meal solutions!

This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

We were interest in seeing what they had in store, since we've never stopped by before. We parks on the grass field and walked towards the vendors first. We bought some fruits and vegetables from the student farm stand (what a steal!) and it was a great feeling knowing that we were supporting the Cal Poly Pomona students. The produce was grown and picked by the CPP students. We also were able to purchase honey from CPP; the honey was produced at the school and jarred by students. There were about 8 food trucks. After we took a walk around, we went into the farm store. It was packed with people and the line was snaked around the interior of the store. I've never seen so many varieties of tomato plants or this many people interested in purchasing plants. We didn't walk away with a tomato plant this time around, but perhaps next time. It was lovely experience.

About 4 TVs and they had different sporting events showing Service- this is where it started to go south. Your front of the house and those few minutes that a new customer has is crucial. Not very friendly and not really acknowledging the people that were standing waiting to be seated. Finally got a table, gave us menus and then 15 minutes go by and they haven't taken our order for drinks. As I look around there were 4 tables that had been seated, as well and no drink orders. We all waited about the same amount of time to get our drink orders. This unfortunately is why i took off 2 stars. To me, this unacceptable. After being seated and food came out, no one checked in until I needed a box and to pay. Did not feel welcomed and /or appreciated that I was supporting a small local business. Food- Brisket without the BBQ didn't have enough flavor. These types of meat don't need a hype man- the BBQ sauce. They need to be good on their own. Buuut Meat was tender. I read that their sausage is not great it's quite dry so I skipped it, my son had ordered ribs so I was going to steal from him, so I decided to get chicken- dark meat options. Chicken was very tasty, juicy and tender. It was the star of the dinner plate!!! Whaat!!! Their coleslaw- loved how everything was chopped nice and consistent- loved the Julienned green apples- again missing seasoning. DINNER ROLLS- Soooo fucken dry and not warmed up. I expect that level of hardness on my rolls when they are about to expire. Warm them up put them in a basket and give me butter. Such a small - perhaps minute action- but it was a huge miss. Other patrons were also commenting how bad the rolls were. We even joked, "death by dinner roll! " LOL. Cornbread- small portion but packed with flavor. I would say ease up on the Honey. I want to taste the corn bread too. It's unfortunate, I didn't have the experience others have had. Most likely not going to add it to my new restaurant rotation. There are other better options with better customer service.
