In town for my middle daughter cheerleading competition. We stayed near the airport and struggled to find a lunch spot anywhere. We stumbled across this hole in the wall pizza joint. It was hard to find as it is tucked behind the planet fitness and not visible from the road or main parking lot. The kids and I got a large chEddie pizza to split. As far as flavor it was very good. I've been to Indianapolis a few tones and have tried a couple of the higher rated pizza establishments. I honestly would rate this taste just below Bazbeaux and ahead of jockamo upper crust pizza. The pizza itself is served in square thin style slices. However it does have a good thickness to it and a nice crispy crust. The inside was spacious and pretty well kept. As stated it is a hole In the wall so not exactly fine dining. But more then adequate enough for a pizza joint. All in all glad we accidentally stumbled across this place (almost could t find it). The only thing keeping the rating from being a 5 star rating is my wife got the spaghetti i and she did not like it. I tried it And it was very lacking. So try the pizza! The pizza tastes great!

It sucks. I was able to break my pasta with my fingers. Waited an hour for my food. Quality is completely related to how cheap the food is.

Erin was super friendly but this visit was plagued by mumbling and incorrect direction. This was not Erin's fault. One of our diners is super special. He can eat cheese but only Mozzarella. The way it was directed to Erin was not right and in doing so, his salad had ricotta on it which means it needed to go back and have another salad made. The attention to the table was great by Erin but as the night went on, the lack of lighting and increase of bugs made our dinner experience less than enjoyable. Add to that our special picky eater and overall it was a miss of a visit. I would totally go back to Iozzo's with my wife as a date night in the dinning room and not the courtyard. The dining room was well light and had a such a different vibe. The interior vibe was romantic and magical. There is no slight to the courtyard or to Erin, but having a group of four for a business dinner and having the one of the most delicate diners in our group was not ideal. While I did not have the martini meatball, I did see it at a table service in the dining room and looked amazing. My bruschetta was very good. Another diner really enjoyed his gnocchi with steak,

We finally ventured down to Bocca after what felt like years of talking about it…read more We chose the perfect time too, which was Devour Indy's Summerfest. My husband was able to easily make a reservation online and when we arrived, we tried to find a spot in the small lot behind the restaurant, but we had to find street parking nearby. We did arrive a little early, about 15 minutes. Thankfully they were able to seat us right away, and we were excited to see that we could make their happy hour (5-6) if we ordered soon! Unfortunately, there may have been some miscommunication about sections, and we weren't acknowledged until right at 6pm. A whole 15 minutes of multiple staff walking around us and not even a glass of water. I honestly just assumed it had something to do with our 6pm reservation. Either way, our very kind waitress did offer us last minute happy hour drinks, so i guess if all worked out! I do think she felt badly about our wait. She was so nice that she gave us prosecco for a toast before our meal, and offered free tiramisu. So, major props on the hospitality! Our food was really delicious. My husband did the devour, which included the Truffle Arancini, Bocca Cesare, Tortellacci, and Lemon Sorbet for dessert. I enjoyed the Cavatappi and tiramisu. Everything was fresh and delicious. We can't wait to return and sit on their patio.

What a perfect excuse to go back and verify that my first experience was no fluke! They impressed again with what could be the best calamari fritti I have ever had. The calamari itself was melt in your mouth tender and the breading was both light and flavorful. The lemon herb aioli? On point! The first time I ate there, I ordered the branzino - which was amazing. Tender, flaky, and mild with the perfect crispiness in the exterior. Everyone who ordered it on this second visit raved about it. For my second visit, I branched out to the carbonara which was as beautiful on the palate as it looked in the bowl. A perfect crunchiness of the pancetta counterbalanced the tenderness of the pasta which was prepared to a perfect al dente. I reviewed a carbonara from a different restaurant earlier this year and now have an apples to apples comparison that heavily favors Vicino. Service was outstanding despite being very busy that evening and the interior had a nice modern chic appearance - if that matters to you. What matters to me is the food and Vicino is now 2 for 2 in providing an experience that will definitely bring me back again!

I got the pepperoni pizza which was underwhelming. The bottom was white, the top was burnt, the cooking wasn't even and the ingredients were nothing special. I requested to add vegetable toppings to the pizza or instead a 1/2 and 1/2 which the waitress said I could not do... I don't see why? Oh and 2 of our pizzas were sitting on the expo station under a lamp for 5 minutes until the 3rd was out, by the time it got to the table the cheese was hard and not melty. Makes no sense. Poor timing by the chef and subpar pizza overall. Also got the pesto chicken gnocchi, very oily but the flavor was good. Garlic fries were good, no comments there Overall, will not be back.
