She had limited time as she had to leave for work. The ETA was 15-31 minutes. It took 50 minutes for the pizza to arrive and when she sent me a picture of the pizza, I couldn't believe what I spent $35 on! It was burned and inedible. I find it unbelievable that someone put this pizza in the box and said "Yep! That looks great!" My family and friends were in on Saturday February 14, 26 and had an awful experience. I called 2 weekends in a row and to confirm our reservations due to a large party of 30 - upon arrival the staff and room was not ready. During the 2 hour wait for food, we were not offered refills or checked on. When I asked for refills, I was told to get my own refills, so I took care of the party's refills instead of enjoying visiting. They have a lunch buffet but make sure you get there with an hour to spare or else you get stuck with older pizzas. The service is always friendly. A very well priced pizza buffet with many options and plenty of seating. You can get the buffet and a drink for $8.50. The pizza was fresh and hot, and they will make specific pies if you ask. In addition to the pepperoni and sausage standards, they had a barbecue chicken pizza and a HEAVENLY buffalo chicken pizza. They have breadsticks with cheese and marinara dipping sauces. The salad bar has lots of options both for dressings and toppings. If I could change two things it would be to offer spring mix or romaine instead of iceberg and to offer Caesar dressing. Despite having a lot of customers, the restaurant was clean and the drink station was never dirty. My biggest complaint about this place? That they aren't closer to my house! Above average pizza. They offer an acceptable variety of pizza choices. It's always nice that they put out a few dessert pizzas. The salad bar is ample enough as far as salad/lettuce varieties, pasta and potato salad, and a number of topping choices. The salad dressings are decent as well. They have a no frills very informal dining room area. That's quite alright with me, and I can always overlook that as long as it's clean and the food is good. The staff seem efficient and friendly; and are continuously working toward keeping the pizza stocked/presented and available. Twice I've ordered delivery through DoorDash for this Chicago Pizza location and both times I only got part of my order. The first time I called the store they told me I had to go through DoorDash for a refund, not their fault and my order was probably taken by my driver. Well, you do not actually get a refund for food you do not receive, only a DoorDash credit. Let it go, order again from Chicagos and again I'm missing part of my order I paid for. Called the store again but spoke to the manager this time. She was quite rude and again began to state that it's not their fault, they are not responsible for not filling their orders and again told me the DoorDash driver probably stole my food which is just ridiculous. I told her I had an issue with not getting my food before from another restaurant and they brought me the correct meal. She said we don't deliver and I told her neither do they. In the end, I've paid them twice for food that Chicago Pizza did not deliver and no refund. This place is great for a quick trip through the lunch buffet. The only drawback being during peak lunchtime there is often a wait on fresh pizzas as the demand is higher than what can be put out. The wait is generally minimal and if you request a certaIn pizza they will make it and put it on the buffet for you to share with the other customer.
