    Fufu Jollof Plate (Choose Protein)

I wish I could recommend this place. I took my mother here for her birthday so that we could both try Nigerian food for the first time. We had jolloff, beef stew and fufu. The rice was okay and the fufu didn't taste like anything. The stew had a good flavor overall, the meat was just so dry and tough.

I haven't eaten much Nigerian food, but I am currently broadening my palate by trying cuisines unfamiliar to me. I arrived at Pass D Jollof so excited to try a new dish. We arrived early Friday evening and there was no wait, although the restaurant began to fill up as we finished up. We were seated by someone, but after that, we had minimal interaction with the waitress. There were no utensils set out on the table, but there was a container of assorted utensils on it. I found that a little different; I'm not sure if the container was supposed to be there. I'd hope that people don't usually select their own utensils. I don't trust everyone; some folks are gross & inconsiderate of others lol. Anyway. You scan a QR code and order from the menu yourself. You have the option to pay right away, or keep your tab open in case you decide to order more. I went with Efo Riro because it sounded delicious and I'm constantly battling low iron. Great choice. I ordered it with rice. (I stole the tomato from my friend's plate). The food came out PIPING hot, & there was plenty of it. My Efo Riro was comforting, flavorful, & very filling. I only wish there were more meat in the stew. My friend told me that her Jollof was some of the best she's had. The vibe is casual, yet a little swanky. There's a full bar and TVs. And since it was Friday, there was also a live DJ.

Big space with plenty of space to sit. Random weekday mid-day.

Just updating with pictures of food and ambiance. See previous review, my sentiments are the same. The jollof can be more consistent though. Could be more Smokey, less stewy. Front staff differs on pleasantry. One lady (who handles the bar and take outs) always acts stern but servers are excellent.

First time eating Nigerian food so I'm going to keep the review simple. We're Caucasian and Asian in this fam, so take everything I say with that context. Loved: Puff-puff. Everyone loved them. As it says, like a donut but also totally it's own thing. Mmmm. Beef Suya Fries. 2/4 votes from the 4 of us but I really liked it. Almost the consistency of a beef teriyaki, a little more dry and tough, with the fries and sauce it was a good combo of flavors and textures. On fries was preferred over the beef alone. Jollof and chicken stew. Who doesn't love a seasoned rice, and the stew was rich and flavorful. Some sort of chicken dish. I'm not seeing it in the online menu so I'm not sure exactly what it was. Good, not our fav, but juicy with a nice sauce. Not a fan: Fufu/eba. I kind of liked it with the stew, but my bread-loving family couldn't quite latch on to this mochi-textured carb. Egusi. Another one we just couldn't get into though Fufu Egusi was the whole reason we came. Consistency and flavor of the seed mash didn't match our palate. Beef suya (without fries and sauce). I liked the flavor but agreed with the family that the sauce and mixed texture with the fries made it better. Maybe this with jollof...

Good was great - but they were understaffed. This was my first time trying Nigerian food and it was yummy. I didn't love the service however, you order from a QR code which feels impersonal and the staff seemed overwhelmed.

First time trying Nigerian food. I have no previous experience to tell whether it is the best or worst version of itself but as a first timer it was very good. I found it to be a fun and unique style of eating. I got the egusi with fufu. Didn't like the hand pie though. I like how there is a non halal version of protein provided. The only thing that should improve is the service. I was waiting for about 10 minutes for a waitress to take my order until I realized that you order on your phone. Wish that was made more clear when I was seated. Also small portions for the meat. Update: went a second time. Thought it was rude that the tip option was picked for me. I won't be back for that reason.

Everything was delicious and came out surprisingly quickly! It was our first time trying Nigerian food and we loved it! There was a sink in the middle of the restaurant to wash your hands. We knew from videos that fufu wasn't to be chewed, but to be dipped and swallowed, and it was much easier than I expected! (I have struggled with swallowing pills in the past but this is much easier and much tastier!) My only complaint was that the music was a little loud and it was occasionally difficult to hear my friend across the table, but we could have just been tired and talking quietly. Overall I had an amazing experience and will definitely be back!

You are able to seat yourself and order off a QR code, order online and they bring the food to your table. There is very minimal interaction but they do check in on you and if you're enjoying the food. This was my first time getting Nigerian food, and I really liked the chicken. The skin and overall flavor was amazing. The egusi was good, but I wished it was spicer like the Jollof rice. I was really surprised how much I liked the fufu, I was worried it was going to be more chewy and dense but I really enjoyed it. My friend got the Jollof rice and chicken which was a great choice as well. The restaurant was spacious and I appreciated that they had a handwashing sink at the front counter as some of the food was meant to be eaten by hand. Overall, loved the food and I will definitely come back!

The food was good, but the ordering process would have worked better if the server had checked to see if all our items came out. Our entrees came out before anything else, and we were done with our main course before receiving our drinks or appetizers. If we haven't already prepaid, those items would've been skipped. I've seen successful versions of this ordering QR code method on a much larger scale. I'm sure the same process would work here. Kudos to the server who took ownership of the mistake and made an effort to correct it. BB

The food here is still amazing and you must check it out. I so enjoy that is more I'd a shower, quiet environment for more intimate dining experiences. It's only disappointing in regards to service, in my opinion, which I hope to see improve. I prefer a more personable dining experience and being greeted at entry, but it's off putting that you must scan to order everything and flag them down for service unrelated to the QR code on the table. I hope to see that change as they acquire more staff in the future.

As a wheelchair user this place is *barely* accessible. There is a massive step up the front and I had to have my gf pull me backwards up the stair. If they got a portable ramp or installed a permanent one it would make a huge difference. As for the food it made my gf's soul sing. I have a very low spice tolerance and the meat pie and puff puff was incredible. The Jollof was too spicy for me after a couple bites but my gf devoured most of it. It's really good food, easy service, and pretty inside. The music is good too!!

I have been forever wanting to try Nigerian food. Specifically Egusi soup and fufu. A surprise date night provided the opportunity!!! It's Seattle so expect to pay for parking and for it to be a bit challenging. We found good parking though so no complaints from me. Walking in, it was so open and clean and inviting. There was great music playing, made you want to groove to it, not gonna lie lol. We were sat immediately and given the QR code to check the menu and order. Really simple ordering. We ordered the Egusi soup with beef, fufu, meat pies, cow skin and tripe with jollof and plantains. Everything was delicious! Honestly the tripe and beef skin was not tender enough for me. I like tripe too and am just used to it being cooked longer for a more tender bite. It was a good amount of food that e needed to take home leftovers. Great leftovers to have too. DEFINITELY coming back. Memorable experience!! Excited to try different items in the menu.

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

They only have 2 high premium fishes available: otoro and amberjack. However you can only get 1 of each, which to me defeats the purpose. I also got a bulgogi inari and it was $5 / piece which is pricey. Another thing is that they use a lot of rice, too much rice. Service is ok, they ring you up and bring the food to you if you ordered through the menu. It's a very relaxing and chill area as well.
